I had an amazing stay at The View. Mr. Patrick was such an amazing host. He truly cares for his guests. Had an amazing omelette for breakfast. The two dogs was so friendly and cute. Will definitely book again in the future! Big thanks to Mr Patrick and your staff

Host with the most— kind and very informative about South African culture and places to visit as we traveled back to Cape Town, including best penguin colony worth visiting. Lovely home with excellent art collection and with all the comfort of a fireplace and honesty bar & excellent wine selection for evening.

Friendliness and easy check-in at the last minute. It was my scond time staying at The View - because I know now that it's the perfect spot for a really good price. Plus the breakfast options that are included in the stay are fantastic. There's even a fire place and honesty bar, which add to the comfort.

The room was very compact and no noise isolation. Heared conversation from different rooms. As well big dogs roaming around. One needs to be a pet lover.

The location was excellent. Breakfast was pleasant and relaxed. There could have been a little more fruit available for breakfast, and maybe more choices.

Patrik ist ein liebevoller Gastgeber. Unser Zimmer war gross und schön eingerichtet. Das Bad ebenfalls sehr gross. Das Frühstück wurde am Morgen auf der Aussenterrasse serviert und war ausgiebig und sehr lecker.

Die ganz wunderbare Herzlichkeit unserer Gastgebenden, die beiden Hunde, der erfrischende Pool, die halbe Outdoor-Dusche und der Balkonblick beim leckeren Frühstück.

The property was set up nicely and had some nice little touches like an honesty bar. The breakfast was lovely. The hosts were very personable and it is an easy walk to a lovely town.

Being picky, the sound proofing wasn’t the best but it was a quiet area so easy to sleep at night.

Uns wurde das Zimmer gezeigt und dann wurde niemand mehr gesehen, auch auf klopfen an der privaten Tür oder WhatsApp tat sich nichts. Der Pool war unwahrscheinlich dreckig (wurde bei unserer Abreise gereinigt) und es lag überall Hundekot. Die Dame vom Check in war zwar freundlich, aber wir haben uns leider nicht wirklich willkommen gefühlt.

Beautiful house in a very nice area, lots of restaurants around and a beautiful terrace. Host is kind and the breakfast was really nice.

We haven’t been lucky with the room assigned, the courtyard is facing an enclosed courtyard which didn’t let too much air or light in, making the environment stuffy. The Room itself is tired and needs some touch ups.

Das Guesthouse ist fantastisch, Lage ist zentral in Swellendam, alles wunderbar zu erreichen. Habe selten so reizende Gastgeber erlebt auch die beiden Hunde sind herzallerliebst. Wir hatten fast 40 ° gehabt, konnten uns im Pool aber richtig prima abkühlen. Das Frühstück ist auch klasse...wir haben uns sehr gut gefühlt, sehr familiär. Es ist ein richtig toller Ort. Absolut empfehlenswert, wir kommen bestimmt noch einmal wieder. Anja

Eine eher einfachere Unterkunft aber sehr sauber und familiär, was uns sehr gut gefallen hat. Sehr angenehme Gadtgeber. Frühstück bd Lage waren sehr gut.

Ruhige Lage in einer Nebenstraße, nur ein paar Schritte von den Restaurants auf der Hauptstraße entfernt. Sehr freundliches Personal. Gutes Frühstück mit Auswahl aus verschiedenen frisch zubereiteten Speisen und tollem Blick auf die Berge!

Im Zimmer war es sehr warm. Man konnte die Fenster nur kippen und das Klimagerät hat nicht gekühlt.

The host is very nice and service minded., There is a big veranda where you have an exelent breakfast with lot of choises. Its very green and with a nice view. Everything is very clean and with a nice dekor. Very close to shops and restaurants.

We liked everything.

Gute Kommunikation, sauberes, gemütliches Zimmer, Tee und Kaffee zur freien Verfügung, leckeres, reichhaltiges Frühstück mit Auswahloption. Wir hatten leider nur eine Nacht, wären aber gerne noch länger geblieben. Absolute Empfehlung!

Todo genial ! La ubicación buenísima, las instalaciones con todo lo necesario, los anfitriones (y su perrito) muy amables, y el desayuno muy rico !

Es war eine der top Unterkünfte, sie wie besucht haben. Alles war außerordentlich sauber und wie auf den Bildern bei der Buchung zu sehen war, eigentlich noch viel besser! Der Vermieter war sehr aufmerksam und hat uns super Tips gegeben obwohl wir nur eine Nacht da waren. Die gesamte Atmosphäre war so besonders, dass wir auf jeden Fall wiederkommen. Herzlichen Dank für die schönen Stunden

Great location in a safe quiet neighbourhood. Nice garden area and light and airy living accommodation

De ligging is ideaal, alles is op wandelafstand bereikbaar. Afgesloten parking. Zeer persoonlijke ontvangst. Heel vriendelijke gastheer en gastvrouw. Ze geven graag info over alles wat je maar wil. Ontbijt is uitgebreid en zeer lekker. The view is inderdaad zeer mooi. Zwembad is ook mooi aangelegd. Ontbijt was op het terras, heerlijk.

Onze kamer was ietsje gedateerd en het lawaai van de gang was nogal hoorbaar in de kamer.

The owners were the highlight for us - so friendly, helpful and accommodating. And a really lovely breakfast. And of course the dogs :)

A few bugs in the room. Limited Aircon performance. But these were such minor things compared to the positives and a really, really lovely experience overall.

Die Eigentümer sind nett und das Frühstück ist gut. Parkplatz ist sicher...Das Haus kann man nicht schön reden... Hunde auf dem Grundstück und beim Frühstück.... keine Klimaanlage....unser Zimmer überaus klein und auf einen engen Gang. Das Haus ist in die Jahre gekommen....das Grundstück ist der Hitze ausgesetzt....

Der Standard gemessen an anderen Unterkünften ist gering. Klimaanlage ist NO Go bei der Hitze... Man sollte Hunde mögen, wenn man hier Gast wird...
