Der Poolboden war sehr verdreckt, hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit im Zimmer, dadurch roch das Zimmer beim Betreten modrig, was ich sehr abschreckend fand, abends geduscht, morgens war das Bad immer noch komplett nass, Moskitonetz überm Bett wäre gut, da es sehr viele Insekten gibt

Die Unterkunft hat einen schönen Innenhof mit Pool und einen schön renovierten Restaurantbereich, das auch von externen Gästen besucht wird.

Leider steht das reguläre Frühstücksmenü den Hotelgästen nicht zur Verfügung, sondern es gibt entweder ein Buffet oder ein extra Menü mit einer sehr geringen Auswahl an Speisen. Beide sind in Ordnung aber im Vergleich zu anderen Unterkünften nichts besonderes. Das Familienzimmer (Zimmer 18) ist groß aber spärlich eingerichtet und scheint im Vergleich zu anderen Zimmern nicht renoviert zu sein. Dazu ist das Zimmer sehr kalt und feucht und es riecht sehr muffig.

Guest House is situated in a nice and safe area, with resturants nearby. The breakfast they offer is very tasty.

We got the feeling the room wasn't the cleanest as there were small flies inside the room, and particularly the bathroom.

The location was close to shops and restaurants. It was safe and had plenty of parking. The breakfasts were healthy and filling. They have a restaurant that serves lunch. The staff was efficient and accommodating. We did not have a car for a week, but we could walk to shops, ATMs, and other amenities.

We stayed overnight and all our expectations were met. Clean, comfortable room and good breakfast. Friendly staff. Bonus was secure parking.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds and delicious breakfast. Really enjoyed the Guest House and will definitely stay again.

Breakfast was excellent and served by very well trained and qualified staff, The room was a dream with about 70 square meters of floor space. I was very pleasantly surprised by Aan de Eike and will definitely return for a stay.

Nothing to complain about. Everything was much more than what I had hoped for. The guest house is one of the best I have ever stayed in and the service was exceptionally good. All staff deserve a medal!

Excellent lodging in the heart of Swellendam.

Extremely friendly staff even gave a gift as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. Very clean place. Scrumptious breakfast, we had an amazing time.

The room was very spacious and well decorated and came with all the extras to make for a more than comfortable stay. The breakfast was also great. We will definitely be back.

The breakfast was served in the restaurant on the same property and was fresh and warm. We had breakfast in front of the fireplace which was lovely as it was very cold in Swellendam. Parking is secure.

I had to leave early so could not have breakfast, a room only rate would have been great. However I was given a lovely coffee for the road as I checked out pretty early.

The extractor fan in the bathroom sounds like a jet engine, I was worried it would wake the neighbours so I did not use it. I was in room 6. The shower had a bit of mildew which could be removed.

Travelling with my sister and we stayed in the family unit. It was spacious, well furnished and comfortable. We really loved the breakfast - it was served in a room with a lekka fire going and the homemade müsli/granola was bomb! We absolutely would have a bought a pack if it was for sale ;-) A very special touch inside the room at Aan de Eike was the booklet with restaurant/café recommendations and the guy who showed us to our room (cant remember his name unfortunately) giving us personalised recommendations, both hilarious and very charming. The historic booklet about Swellendam was great as well. Details like that are very guest-centric and we felt very at home. Aan de Eike is located in an interesting street which is great for exploring by foot. We also did the Drostdy Museum Tour, very interesting. The staff at Aan de Eike is very friendly and efficient. We loved it. Can highly recommend this wonderful establishment.

Franklin gave us a very friendly reception, check-in and intro to the rooms, advised on eating venues and made the stay very comfortable.

Excellent location, warmest welcome with staff going out of their way to accommodate my early departure. Restaurants and stores are within walking distance. Overall just great value.

Prima plek voor 1 nacht. Het personeel was zeer behulpzaam en had goed advies voor diner in de buurt. Parkeren kon op het terrein binnen het hek. Goed ontbijt met lekkere koffie.

Quarto amplo, limpo. Localizado próximo a bons restaurantes. A área da piscina localizada no centro dos quartos é uma delícia. Café da manhã muito bom.

Een prima hotel voor 1 nacht. Personeel aardig. Auto werd gewassen zonder te vragen (6e keer in een week 😎). Prima advies voor diner. Ontbijt uitgebreid genoeg en vers. Als het mooi weer is een fijn zwembad.

Lack of comfortable chairs. A warning not to eat at Rebublic of Swellandam would have been welcome.

The check-in / check-out process was very smooth. With the check-in everything was fully explained and I was physically shown how the entrance & exit to the property worked. The breakfast served was very good & staff very helpful & friendly.

The neighbouring units could be a little noisy at times especially if there were children there. There was no space in bathroom to put one's own toiletries bag.

Der Innenhof des Hotels ist sehr ansprechend (darunter auch der Poo). Insgesamt was das Ein- und Auschecken sehr unkompliziert. Für eine Nacht empfehlenswert.

Das Zimmer war recht dunkel, das Licht im Zimmer war wiederum sehr weiß (Krankenhaus-Licht) und leider hat es aufgrund der Abflüsse miefig gerochen. Auch war das Frühstück im Gegensatz zu anderen Hotels sehr sporadisch.

Perfect location with coffee shops and restaurants on the doorstep. The pool area was also lovely and the whole guest house had a warm, welcoming feeling.
