This was not good, and I couldn’t sleep well at all. Outdated room, bad chair, beds felt old, musty smells, door handle janky, low light in hallways, and the jacuzzi had been boarded up. The staff and location are great, but the whole vibe there is off. They are renovating according to signs, so hopefully they can bring it back.

The worst 2 night's stay at this Hotel Double Tree under Hilton property. I've got a terrible bedbugs bites, that was the first time I've experienced bitten by bed bug bites in my entire life. They offered us to transfer to a suit room , but it was very disgusting the smell was off and terribly filthy. Im still suffering from the itching and swelling until now. Theres too many noises inside you can hear the room. The breakfast was not good at all! Not recommended! Very disappointed.

We got there and there were things in our room that were broken, towels were nasty.

everything is perfectioned for my use; dors are easy to open and quiet, bed lamp is strong enough to read in bed, sink and shower faucets work perfectly, sink is not clogged, towels are perfectly positioned, bedding is clean, pillows are good, fridge is excellent,......extra toilet paper-just in case, towels are well positioned,.....looking at trees...everything perfect

room needs fresh paint and carpet, also new/modern furniture. that is why innitially smelled old but we opened balcony 5 min and its ok. coffee shouldn't be the paper bag - tastes bad. i didn't have small bills for tip, so tried the provided code, but it asked me who should i leave tip for by name-how can i know name ?????nonsense

The breakfast was very good. I had the french toast and it was light and fluffy. The coffee was hot and flavorful. Service quick. We had breakfast there the two days we stayed.

Was in Asheville for a wedding on the Biltmore Estate and stayed here over Memorial Day weekend. Location is ideal if you're here for the estate... It's right down the road from the entrance. The restaurant was closed for construction, but there were snacks for purchase in the lobby. Rooms dated but clean. Decent parking even if you end up having to go to the back lot of the hotel (which was actually closer to our room). This hotel is a fine place to stay; certainly sufficient, not spectacular. For perspective, it's quite reasonably priced, so there's that. What makes my review 4 stars even if the hotel is a bit dated? Ms. Carla. She's wonderful. I'd messaged the hotel prior to arrival and she was the one who replied to me; she recognized me (by name) at check-in. Our room wasn't ready but she made sure my family (one 75+, one on a cane) was comfortable until it was (I'm sure she also ensured they didn't have to wait until 4 pm) while I ran to the wedding rehearsal. She was so helpful every time I approached the desk. I'd stay again even if only so she could take care of us. Shout out to the other young lady at the front desk (don't recall her name, long, dark hair) who took the time to show me to the back elevator. She could've just reiterated the map but she chose to walk with me. We were also granted a late checkout (thanks so much). These things matter and your kindness does not go unnoticed - thank you!

Dog next door started barking at 7:30 on our morning to sleep in. Management could not locate owner for 2 hours of constant barking.

Will request a floor with no dogs .. didn’t realize it was going to be an issue

It’s a typical Hilton property, with some additional historic displays about the Biltmore nearby. There was an indoor pool, which we did not get to try. We arrived in the evening and the person at the check-in counter gave us a couple of recommendations for dinner.

The property is close to a busy road, so not great for walking, especially with kids. Breakfast was very basic, the potatoes were way over-spiced.

There was only one working elevator which was on the opposite end of the hall from our hotel room. Being that our room was on the 4th floor, wasn’t ideal to take the stairs. The wait for the working elevator took ridiculously long. Once on the 4th floor, had to walk to the complete opposite end of the floor yet again. The room was as clean as it could be I suppose, but the building is outdated and desperate need of renovation.

Our overall experience was first class. The rooms were spotless, the staff was helpful and friendly, and our breakfast was delicious. Cedric, our breakfast server, was the best! He suggested we try one of their hot sauces that are made in Asheville. We loved it, and bought 2! Perfect location for visiting the Biltmore mansion, and walking distance to Biltmore Village (which is still recovering from the 2024 hurricane).

We stayed here for one night while in town for the Asheville Half Marathon, and as a host hotel it definitely had some conveniences. The race expo being located right in the hotel was a huge plus and made things really easy the day before the race. That said, our first impression was not great. When we checked in, I asked if there was any possibility of a 30 minute late checkout since I knew timing after the race might be tight with the 11 AM checkout. The front desk staff member was pretty rude and immediately said no, explaining that her manager told her to deny late checkout requests across the board because of the number of runners. I understand that they cannot accommodate everyone, but a blanket no to every single guest felt unnecessary. Not every room was checking out that day, and a little flexibility or even just a more thoughtful response would have gone a long way. My husband has Hilton status and we booked a room type that was still showing availability for the following night, so it felt like there could have been some room for consideration. In the end, it was not a huge issue. I made it back about 10 minutes before checkout and we left the room about 15 minutes after 11 anyway since there was no housekeeping in sight. We really just needed a few extra minutes, but the way the request was handled right at check in left a bad impression and honestly turned me off from staying here again for race weekend. I will say, I appreciated that the hotel had coffee, fruit, and granola bars available in the lobby early on race morning. That was a nice touch for runners. Also worth noting, the main restaurant is currently closed. There is a small breakfast area in the lobby where you can order food. There is no kids menu, but kids can order from the regular menu at half price. Overall, this stay could have been a solid experience given the location and convenience for the race, but the lack of flexibility and the rude interaction at check in really brought it down. There are plenty of hotel options in Asheville, and it is hard to justify returning somewhere that did not feel particularly welcoming to guests during a major event weekend.

The staff were friendly and responsive, especially when we reached out with questions during our stay. The room was comfortable and quiet, which was much appreciated after long days out. The location is convenient to Biltmore and downtown Asheville, making it easy to get around without a long drive. Overall it felt clean and well-kept, and we had what we needed for a smooth two-night stay.

Nothing major stood out. If anything, a little more flexibility with late checkout on busy weekends would be nice, but we understand availability can vary. Overall, it was a positive experience.

Restaurant staff was excellent

Property could use some updating. Of course, this is an area impacted by serious flooding just a year ago. One elevator did not work, the one closest to our room. And the one elevator that did was finicky, needing a little convincing at times to close entirely. Bathrooms very small and beds were just OK, compared to the Hampton Inn cousins of the same brand. We would not stay here again.

Apparently central air unit in closet by bed! Would hum then click off. This was in back tower - I had stayed several times in regular front building and never had this issue in that original section. Pillows too firm. Would have preferred option for softer, down alternative. Comforter was lighter weight for recent cold spell. In future I will request front building only- not back tower…not convenient with luggage. Front desk staff friendly.

We were extremely disappointed with our recent stay, which was intended to be a special two-day celebration of our 25th wedding anniversary. Upon arrival, we were informed that the elevator closet to our room servicing the 5th floor was out of order, requiring us to walk a significant distance across the building to access another elevator. Additionally, we learned that the hotel restaurant was closed—information that was not disclosed during the booking process. Had these issues been communicated in advance, we would have chosen a different hotel. When we asked about nearby dining or nightlife options, we were informed there was only one local establishment within walking distance. These circumstances significantly detracted from what should have been a memorable experience. My husband, a Hilton Diamond member, was especially disappointed by the lack of communication and amenities. The hotel was noticeably quiet, which now makes sense given the limited services available. Based on our experience, we would not recommend this property to others seeking a full-service stay.

Fantastic location and staff were helpful and friendly. I would certainly stay here again when visiting Asheville, specifically Biltmore Estate.

The only drawback was that they were working on one of the elevators during our stay, so we had to use the elevator that was on the complete other side of the building. This was not a real problem as once we checked in with our luggage: we used the stairwell that was right next to our room.

We did not eat the breakfast that was offered. The location was excellent.

The biggest two problems were the distance it took to walk to our hotel rooms due to an elevator not working and the full size beds when there were four adult size people in the room. It really should be queen size beds in all rooms.
