Very convenient if you're driving to La Rochelle, you can park and it's only a short walk from the main town. It's a perfectly comfortable Novotel and the staff were friendly.

Halb verstopfte Kanalization bei Dusche+Becken, Nachttische=2 kleine Blechstuecke, Zimmerdesign bloed: das Bett zu nache an das Bad, alles veraltet, Fenster undurchsichtig und schmutzig, die Hotelfassade ebenfalls grausam. Sehr seltene Personalmitglieder sprechen ein wenig Englisch, einschliesslich in der Rezeption.

We loved this hotel. Super kid friendly, with my daughter actually saying "I found my happy place" when in the pool. We picked it as its quite but close to central and has all the nice hotel perks - kids play room, pool, fresh water, friendly staff. We eat at the hotel a lot as it suited our relaxed holiday - food okay but service was great and made it a lovely evening. The fact they were so friendly and welcoming / understanding of the kids was the best for us we went to two other locations on this trip and it wasnt until at them we relaised how spoilt we were at this hotel with the friendly staff. Thanks for a lovely stay.

The check in process was disorganised to say the least. Our room key was given to us but they had only just started cleaning. What is the point in giving your expected arrival time if the room cleaning isn’t prioritised based on arrival time. There was 2 open desks and around 6 staff members standing to the side - it was inefficient.

Excellent location (10 min walk to centre) and security for vehicles. Clean comfortable hotel and helpful staff. Would stay here again.

The breakfast was amazing, so much of it and so much variety The location was perfect, about 15 mins from the town centre and the sea The beds were super comfortable There was a lovely pool and I really wish I'd brought our swimming stuff!

The bathroom was right by one of the beds, the doors opened out pretty much onto the bed, with clicky-open doors and opaque glass. It was not what we would expect from a Novotel which usually has a bathroom away from the sleeping

Nice enough hotel but pricey for what you get. Received a phone call the day before to say that the pool wasn't operational which I understand happens but wasn't great in the middle of summer.. Room was three doors down from the children's play room which created quite a bit of noise. No hot water in the room on arrival either. Ok but not the best for the money

Very clean and modern hotel with a lovely outdoor pool just 10 mins walking distance to the harbour. Receptionists were all very welcoming with one lady making a phone call for us after having a problem with another booking elsewhere. She was incredibly helpful and patient with us. Breakfast was lovely.

On our 14 day road trip around France this was one of the most expensive stops, however, I wouldn’t say it wasn’t worth the money.

Unfortunately, the pool was closed due to a sanitation issue but the hotel did call me early that day to let us know. It was a pity because we had specifically booked that hotel because it had a pool. However, the rest of the hotel, the location, the staff and breakfast made up for it.

A short walk to the harbour

Location by the Park which makes it easy to access the town by walk. Really liked the free parking - hard to find in France. Nice play room for kids. Although we didn’t use it the pool looked nice.

Room is a tiny bit small for 4 people.

La femme de ménage qui ne nettoie pas la poussière et qui dit que c'est normal 🙃. Après 6 h de route je désirai un bon café dans la chambre et j'ai été surpris de voir plein de poussière sur la machine à café. 😡

Not much space when beds down, but easy to put up during day. Air conditioning worked well, and water fountains on every floor. Comfy beds. Separate toilet and shower room which was great. Games room for kids and plenty space to chill inside and out by restaurant. Can't fault this hotel, a great location to visit la rochelle, especially if travelling with a dog.

Super bien situé, proche du centre de La Rochelle. Parking privé et sécurisé. Personnel sympathique. Hôtel bien décoré, propre et avec piscine. Très bon petit déjeuner. Possibilité de manger sur place le soir puisqu'il y a un restaurant. Belle chambre spacieuse avec air conditionné et bonne literie. Nous ne sommes jamais déçus des Novotels.

Room was clean and comfortable. It is a bit small for 4 of us with a baby crib, but still comflrtavle and we managed to get around. Hotel is very well located, walking distance from old town. A/C worked well. Pool was small but weanaged to get a few laps in, very nicely situated on the outsids right next to the restaurant. Hotel staff is super friendly, also those who work in restaurant. Parking roghd putside even aoth some shade under the trees. Secure parking as you need codes to get thrpugh the gate. Breakfast was really good woth a lpt of options.

We are a family of four from Denmark travelling through France on a four-week road trip, and this was the third Novotel we stayed at during our journey. Once again, we were impressed by the value for money. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the city centre, making it perfect for an evening stroll to the many restaurants in La Rochelle. Our room was comfortable, clean and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which was especially appreciated during the warm weather. The pool area was another highlight. It was well maintained, our children really enjoyed it, and pool towels were available from reception. The only downside was that there were only a few sunbeds. One thing we really appreciated was the excellent service after check-out. We had a long drive ahead of us and asked if we could spend one more hour by the pool before leaving. The staff happily agreed, which made the end of our stay much more relaxing. We didn’t have breakfast, so we can’t comment on that. Parking was free and conveniently located right outside the hotel, making arrival and departure effortless. After staying at three different Novotel hotels during our road trip through France, we can honestly say that the brand has consistently offered excellent value for money. We would happily stay here again and can recommend it to other families.

The staff were extremely helpful and generally pleasant people, giving us great recommendations for places to eat in La Rochelle. Breakfast at the hotel was really good. The pool was a nice addition, especially when travelling with kids. Room was comfy, water readily available upstairs and ground floor in cooled water dispensers. Great location for exploring the city. Nice informal feel to this hotel. Really liked the quirky toilet signs.

The air con in our room could be improved. Couldn’t seem to turn it up any more, better air con would definitely add to the comfort level in the room. Drinking water provided in the room would be nice. While the hotel was clean, it didn't have that gleaming feel to it.

Really good central location for the old port area with free parking and a bonus swimming pool, really clean and the rooms were very comfortable. Bonus mention for Crockette the cat!

Malgré la froideur de la grille à l’entrée, l'accueil est sympathique, grand parking. Accès aisé. Situation parfaite pour visiter la ville accessible à pied via le parc adjacent. Chambre confortable pour un court séjour .

Propreté relative notamment de la salle restaurant, des communs, des extérieurs. Immeuble ayant mal vieilli. Manque un mini frigo dans la chambre.

Free parking. Room big. Bed bigger. Shower great. Air con great. Good food the one night we stayed in. Pool was good. Nice setting for hotel.

There was some event going on when we got back on the first night, loud booming music by the pool. You could hear it walking back across the park. Luckily our room was on the other side. But to stay away from the noise we had to remain in our room when the plan was to have a quite drink by the pool. The other two nights were quiet. Move it a bit closer to town!!!

Sehr hilfsbereites und freundliches Personal, gute Parkmöglichkeit, gute Lage zur Stadtbesichtigung. Ein kleiner Kühlschrank war sehr nützlich, Kaffee- oder Teezubereitung im Zimmer bequem. La Rochelle ist eine tolle, lebendige und sehenswerte Stadt.

Wenig Ablagemöglichkeit und Steckdosen am Bett, USB-Anschlüsse haben nicht oder nicht gut funktioniert.

Very good location for a city, no road noise and quiet at night. Short 11 minute walk to the port, the staff were all nice and the Hotel good for a chain. Free safe parking for cars or motorbikes. Ample breakfast.

Terrasse extérieur vétuste et d aucun accord avec l intérieur. A revoir dans son ensemble, l idée meme de prendre mon petit déjeuner a l extérieur ne m a pas effleuré. Gros bémol dans la chambre... avec tout cet espace une seul prise électrique et pour le coup en tete de lit, un bon espace de travail mais pas de quoi brancher un ordinateur pour y travailler. Donc une prise dans la chambre et une prise dans la salle de bain !!! Mieux vaut prévoir une multi prise et une rallonge si vous voulez bénéficier un temps soit il d un confort de travail. Globalement le prix reste excessif si l on conjugue le tout.
