This is a quick drive from the airport, perfect to get a night’s rest after a late arrival. We loved walking the grounds before breakfast. The staff are exceptional.

The gym was closed for renovations but that is a temporary inconvenience.

Immaculate hotel set in Stunning Grounds, quiet peaceful and stunning views

nothing, I was actually rebooking this hotel when the survey popped up

Staff was brilliant hotel was clean.

The room was far and there was no elevator.

Close to wine farms and sight seeing

Slightly sterile atmosphere. Perhaps its the expanse of the hotel. Also major problems with wifi, TV, no Smart TV, so could not sync with my phone.

I checked in at midnight and left before breakfast so was a little difficult to judge everything. However, the staff were very accommodating and helpful to us. My room was beautiful and had great accessories and a view.

Some of my colleagues had a room where they only could see a wall. Also they didn't have a hairdryer in their room and had to request it. Another colleague requested an iron that also took a while to get to her.

The location was beautiful, the grounds are stunning, the food in restaurant was really good. the room was lovely, neat and clean. Could use a harder bed, person preference. Staff were top notch, very helpful and friendly. Sadly we never had breakfast had to leave early. Will love to be able to bring our daughters to experience this beautiful place part of South Africa history.

My favourite was the staff. Chrizelda and Fernal are amazing people and so kind!

Great options and plenty of space inside or out on the patio.

The 19th hole bar needed more staff on the 31st as barman was having to serve coffees as well as patrons as well as the dinningroom orders. Our steak dinners on a previous night were disappointing with too much sinew in the meat. We did point it out at the time.

My stay was amazing

It was a beautiful location with lovely rooms. Nice pool. Really lovely staff. Good breakfast.

No changing area around the pool so have to walk through the lobby. But it was lovely place to stay

Sadly in a heatwave to have a room where the air-conditioner is not functioning we cannot be positive about our experience at the Lord Charles. We reported the fault and it was not fixed.

Maybe the location, but it is a personal preference.

After a very disappointing stay a year ago, we thought we’d give the property another try. SO much better now. Professional team worked hard to make every touch point good. A great stay.

The pillows were so huge to put my head on , some of the stuffed isn’t respectful there was a guy that sexually harassed me by making silly comments and looking at my nasty. I could report but I felt bad for him

A very clean and comfortable hotel just 20 minutes from Cape Town International Airport, perfect to not be caught up in the hustle and bustle of Cape Town City itself. Hotel has been magnificently refurbished, feels extremely safe and is conveniently located near to a safe shopping centre and the N2 for easy access to Cape Town and surrounds.

Lovely private surroundings , staff so happy and friendly. Very helpful with all needs . Hotel good was also lovely and high quality , so if you wanted a relaxed day by pool was nice to not have to leave for something to eat

Giving a 10/10 exclusively based On staff. We got married in a nearby location and they went out of their way to help us with everything wedding. From gowns to setting up the room on the day. They did prevent some people from coming in on the day which in hindsight makes all the sense and we grateful. Very clean, rooms are big.

Not really a negative but it can do with a little bit of upgrading with furniture etc. But it really doesn’t away from the place.

The location, opposite the Waterstone shopping centre, was very good.

The sound insulation of my room was very bad, and I could hear the people in the next room (coughing, talking, etc, even though I could tell that they weren't being loud). It's a pity, because everything else about the hotel was good, but I found this really annoying and it spoiled my stay a bit.

Kein Ausblick. Zimmer war eher Souterrain. Wäsche um 9 Uhr abgegeben um sie wie versprochen am Nachmittag zu erhalten. Leider war dies bis zum nächsten Morgen noch immer unberührt im Laudry-Bag. Frühstück nicht besonders, auch kein guter Kaffee. Kein Smart-TV, obwohl nach unserer Erfahrung in Südafrika mittlerweile Standard. Zimmer schon in die Jahre gekommen. Kurzum, für eine Übernachtung okay, aber man sollte niedrige Erwartungen haben.

it was a disgrace that there was a fixed price for breakfast. Friends stayed at other venues which were cheaper and included breakfas.

Breakfast excellent, lots of choice and efficient short order section. Happy and efficient staff, in particular want to mention Griszelda and Norma. Chantal on the reception desk was great. Bar staff helpful and efficient.

Nothing to dislike. Lake a little low on water. Finding it difficult to say anything negative. We had a great time.
