Clean room, great staff , delicious breakfast!
Breakfast very good
Over all Good
Perfect location.
Great location great staff and good food.
This is our second time at Hotel Luna! Loved that we had an opportunity to stay here with our children this time! It is very close to everything, so royal, and the food during breakfast is nothing short of scrumptious!
Perfect location near the main plaza. beds are not too comfortable.
The room and bathroom were clean. The decor was unique. The bed was a little too hard. There is no cable tv. The water pressure was not good. We stayed 2 nights and both nights at 3:00am we heard loud talking which woke us up. We had the room by the stairs. Anyway the 2nd night I looked out and it was I believe staff from hotel. It was very noisy being right by stairs- we heard everyone in the lobby and we even heard it when the phone rang at the front desk. Good location if you want to be right on the main square. Next time we’ll opt for a hotel not on the main square.
Its ok
Wonderful older property in Historic Zone of Guanajuato. One of my top 5 cities.
El hotel está muy centrico
The view from my room was amazing. The hotel is in the perfect spot, everything is within walking distance. The staff was super helpful. Definitely recommend this hotel.
They need to figure out something for the parking.
Wonderful hotel and staff, we were even upgraded to better room. Free breakfast 8-12. They also helped us with a taxi to go to the airport. Will stay again
Location is great.
Lovely room but be prepared for noise until 11 pm as this hotel is on the jardin, the main square of town. Restaurant attached to hotel was excellent and reasonable given the prime location. Everyone we dealt with was helpful and cheerful. We had a delicious full breakfast included which was made to order.
Great location.
Clean and quiet. Only issues were not enough outlets, but its Mexico and a older property. Also the remote for the mini split had no readable buttons they had rubbed off so we couldn't turn on the heat if we had wanted to. But overall very nice property and great service. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was delicious.
Right in the heart of everything. Easy walking distance to most everything. Clean and quiet. Only issue not enough outlets to plug in electronics.( But its Mexico) I would stay here again. Absolutely beautiful property.
Nice and friendly, great environment.
Rooms are smal but quaint. Beds are hard. Helpful staff.
Great hotel, excellent staff. Luis was the best! It’s just very very very loud from the music in the plaza. If you have a balcony, bring good earplugs. Also, comes with breakfast, you can choose anything from the menu :)
Near everything. Good value.
Great hotel, decorated in a beautiful old world charm. Nice large, clean rooms with good bathrooms. Potentially loud if the street parties go late, maybe I would avoid on holiday weekends, but no caveats otherwise. Great included breakfast.
The only problem too many stairs
Everything was nearby.
The location of the hotel was in the plaza and was in walking distance to many sites and restaurants. The staff members were friendly and the breakfast was good. The bed was quite firm and the room overall was quaint and adequate. The lobby and balcony areas were beautiful.
Great location and felt safe here.
This is an older hotel and we were not expecting everything to be like new by the toilet was poorly maintained and stopped working mid stay. They had no maintenance staff that can fix this during our stay. We had to resort to taking a pitcher from the downstairs bar to manually flush the toilet. We were offered no credit back from our stay by the staff. We should not have to pay for the second night of our stay.
Friendly staff, clean.
Staff was very nice and the place is very safe and well located.the room service was excellent and very clean.
Lo único que si podrían cambiar son los colchones de las camas y almuadas
The rooms were nice. But they could be cleaned a little better
I felt we got unfairly charged when we got there and there were extra charges for breakfast.
“The staff was very friendly, and Manager Luis gave us really good tips and told us how to get around the city.”
Location and great AC.
The hotel is in the middle of town. Loved the property.
The only bad thing is not having regular channels on the TV, we couldn’t watch tv not even 1 day out of the 7 days I stayed
This hotel is located in Guanajuato downtown, the staff is very friendly and helpful.
I loved the look of the property, it is a little dated, but has charm. Great staff and absolute great location if u like too be in the mix.
It’s a beautiful building and the decor is fantastic. However, our room faced the jardín and there were at least three groups of banda and a mariachi playing until 12:30. Then the DJ kicked in. The music was great but I was trying to sleep. The service in the restaurant was poor, our server was hanging out outside with the bands.
It was awkward, the front desk manager was very rude. The service is deficient.
There were no tv service. Stairs are complicated for elders, no elevator.
Very nice hotel
When we arrived to the hotel, they gave us a stuffy room without a window and very old bedding, the front desk guy said this is what you get for being cheap and Booking on Expedia. I don’t book with a Expedia to save money we do it for the convenience. We have been to Guanajuato over a dozen times and stayed at very nice Hotels that were half the price but I tried to surprise my wife with a room on the plaza she likes big mistake. The hotel does have a very nice restaurant and the food is very good. The only thing you should book at hotel Luna is a reservation for there restaurant.
Location is excellent but standard rooms are disappointing. The room I was given on my arrival was on the ground level (I requested a room in a higher level), and I was surprised that there was no window in the room. Next day, I was moved to a higher-floor room (the one that originally assigned to me but because of a water problem was not available at my arrival). This room was smaller than the first one and it had a small window that opened to the hall (interior) of the hotel. The iron did not work well as it heavily leaked water. I was told that because of the location, the television only works with Netflix, YouTube and other local wi-fi applications. Breaksfast service and quality was excellent but be sure to leave a tip in cash so that the waiter treats you well the next day.
The stay and staff were great overall, I believe it may have just been the room we were put in that brought my rating sown. I would make sure to review the room information as our room (19) was very strangely located near staff work rooms, it felt a bit intrusive on our part as we could hear them having conversations about work. Because there are no photos of the individual rooms booked, it was a bit of a surprise based on the photos that are shared. The location is amazing, very convenient and walkable. We also enjoyed the breakfast that was included with the stay. The only issue would be the room we got. It was in a weird subfloor behind the front desk, next to the public restrooms. We stayed for two nights and one night the hallway outside the room had flooded and we had to step through it to get into our room. The room is also very cavernous, with no windows or source of natural light.
All was good, except that the beds are hard...besides that, we felt safe and hotel is cute.cute.
I like it it was clean walkable to anything safe impressed beautiful
There were no parking spaces within 6 blocks. The mattress was extremely hard. Loud noises from outside.
I like very much its prime location in the heart of Guanajuato; you can walk to most sites of interest and have plenty of restaurants around it. I didn't like the late noisy places just below your balcony.
Excelente ubicación en el mero corazón donde hay ambiente a todas horas del día. Todo fue maravilloso excepto que el agua caliente de la bañera de nuestra habitación #18 no salía. funcionaba.bien. #18 no fun
Loved it!
It was good. The only thing was the the junior suite is pretty small and is smaller than it looks in the pictures
The 120 yr old property is nice & historical for the area. The problem is that if you take a front facing room, all the bars & restaurants are right down below and you literally have 4 warring mariachi bands til about 1:30 on weekends and 12:30 week days. If you ask for an interior or rear facing room it is quieter. They are accomodating and switched us on the last night and it was much quieter.
Beds were super hard and bathroom super small. No hot water
clean and staff Very helpful
Beautiful, luxurious, elegant in the middle of all the excitement if you like to feel alive and enjoy live music mariachi....
La habitación estaba sucia, de hecho encontramos una peineta, supongo de los anteriores huéspedes, debajo de las sábanas. Creo que el precio es un poco elevado, si no fuera por la ubicación
WORST Hotel in the entire area. Save yourself and stay away from this place. Rooms are disgusting.
It's near from everything, beds are really comfy the only problem at least in our room was the bathroom is so tiny but overall was great and pretty.
I like everything and the people nice and friendly
Great location in the center of town.
My only issue will be the beds, they were kind of hard.Other than that I do not have any negatives comments about the hotel.
The location and staff is outstanding, however, the rooms needs maintenance, there are sewage smells coming out the bathroom drain, and rooms are outdated. They need to put more attention on disabled guest ( it’s not adaptive) Even with these observations, we enjoyed our stay at this hotel, and I definitely will return.
Highly recommended. The hotel is at a great location.
Very friendly staff. They messaged me directly prior to my stay to make my stay there more pleasurable. During the stay, they were helpful in us acquiring transportation that fit our schedule. Hotel is located in the center of all the sites to see. You can hear live music from the balcony of the rooms and enjoy the atmosphere. Only small complaint is that one of the rooms didn’t have outlets near by to charge phones.
Right in the middle of historic downtown. Excellent room and service.
Great location, but very hard to find parking lot, my room nothing close to what pictures show, my room not very clean and smoke director was bipping, so they gave me another room smaller size same issue not very clean , beds were very hard , good things only stayed one night.
Great stay at this hotel. Location is everything! Close to many restaurants/attractions. Walking distance to almost everything you would want to see in Guanajuato.
N/a
Nice friendly staff. There were a few hairs in the sheets but they put clean sheets.
Location is great. Lobby is beautiful. You get what you pay for with the rooms. The big criticism is the A/C makes a loud noise tot he point when it turns on it will wake you up. I stayed in rooms 2 and 14. It was the same problem in both. Just a heads up, other than that I'd stay here again.
I LIKED THAT THE PROPERTY WAS IN THE HEART OF GUANAJUATO, HOWEVER, IT WAS "DAY OF THE DEAD '" CELEBRATION AND IT WAS JAMMED PACKED.
Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel lobby great appearance. Room door had a noticeable separation where doors close in. The complimentary breakfast was delicious.
Amazing location and the staff was very helpful
This hotel lobby is Breathtaking, very conceptual. Looks like an old house from the 1800’s. Loved it. The rooms were not that comfy space related, also the bathroom was very small and the bed was hard. But we only stayed for one night so it did the job. Also this hotel is extremely great located so could definitely book again for short trips. Breakfast was included and is was delicious.
Excelent service and location.!
👌👍
Great property. Close to everything
Excelente servicio el hotel luna está localizado en el corazón de Guanajuato súper recomendable.
Great location near restaurants, however, the only rooms with windows faced the jardín, which is party central u til almost midnight. So, my room was in the middle of the building with no window and no access to fresh air. That was very uncomfortable to me. The staff was always helpful and offered me a room over the jardín, which I declined due to the competing noise of numerous strolling musician groups until late. There is no mention of the rooms being windowless on their website. I would have booked elsewhere if I had known that, despite the excellent staff service, etc.
Its an old Hotel right in the downtown center of Guanajuato where the action is. You have restaurants and music as you walk out of the hotel. The managment are eager to help and make sure you have the right room and to have a good time. A word of caution: you are very close to the music, Mariachis and Rock bands play below close to the rooms. Ask for an inside room if noise bothers you.
Pro: in the middle of everything great service house cleaning was excellent, the staff done a great job . Con: Free breakfast nothing to wright home about went around the corner to have a great meal. Need to remember your password for Netflix if you don't no tv. Oh thanks Brent you forgot to log out. Music is loud Thursday stops at 1am take ear plugs. Its a great hotel
Location was convenient. The room was fairly quiet, if airless. Bathroom was obviously not cleaned— hair all over the place. Overall, it was fine for a night… wouldn’t want to spend more time as it’s windowless and needs some TLC.
Una gran atención . Muchas gracias
Awesome service, always on top of guests needs without reminders.
Great location very nice hotel
Great place to stay. Right in the center of everything.
The hotel was absolutely beautiful and had a timeless feel to it. The room was very unique and had an amazing balcony view of the nearby street and into the hills. The staff was helpful in exchanging money, setting up tours and providing transportation if needed. Breakfast was included and was absolutely delicious everyday. The location is literally right in the middle of all the action however hard to tell anything is even happening outside the hotel once your in noise is not a problem. I can not speak highly enough of the staff as well as this hotel and it's prime location. I already have been recommending friends and family to book for October's festival that everyone kept telling me about. Thanks, Luna!
Oveall a great place to stay close to everything interesting in Guanajuato, the only opportunity of improvement is the bed was extremely hard worst night sleep even
Great place very helpful staff specially Luis the rooms are very clean with ac
Very nice experience at Luna Hotel. Beautiful hotel and amazing view, small bathroom, Customer service was awesome!!!
El hotel cobra 2 mil pesos en efectivo como deposito por posibles daños. En ninguna parte estaba esto indicado al momento de realizar la reserva. La cama ademas demasiado incomoda y habitacion muy pequeña. No regreso a este hotel.
Great location in the middle of all the night excitement. Wouldn't recommend a balcony if you are noise sensitive. The breakfast was really good and tasty.
Hotel Luna is the perfect place to stay. Its location is perfect, central to everything. The staff is very pleasant. The complimentary breakfast was delicious each morning. It is cooked to order from many choices. I would definitely return.
We had an excellent experience, the hotel is beautiful and clean, very good customer service I really recommend this hotel has a beautiful view from our room balcony, is in front of the Jardin Union few steps from Teatro Juarez, at night is awesome all the mariachi and band are there at Jardin Union playing beautiful songs.
1st night..They put me on the wrong room, 2nd night they got me the correct room but at midnight the bathroom faucet star leaking.
