I can highly recommend Marchabell by the Sea E22. Margaret, the apartment owner, was so supportive throughout the hiring process, providing additional useful information and links. The apartment comes with a housemaid, Ms Dorothy, who kept the apartment immaculate and was also very supportive during my two-week hire. The apartment was well-equipped with everything I needed for self-catering and had nothing missing. Very rarely do I provide feedback, but on this occasion I felt it was very much deserved. Visit the restaurant onsite upstairs ( it can be missed ); food was great

The main bar area near the pool was ok, but could have been more customer-friendly at times; one member of staff was very attentive and friendly, a local lady with short, dyed-orange hair. Overall, the grounds were very tidy and always felt safe.

Estaba limpio, tiene un lindo balcón, el conjunto donde está ubicado es bonito, cuenta con una piscina y buenos espacios comunes, es bueno tener acceso incluido a la playa y la cercanía a ella lo hace muy cómodo.

Estaba mal equipado en cocina, las ollas son viejas y toda la comida se nos dañó, no hay nada básico al alcance, sal, café o cosas básicas que por valor pagado debería tener; en las instalaciones del conjunto hay un bar donde siempre hay personas consumiendo drogas, lo cual lo hace un poco incómodo para un plan familiar o con niños ya que esto sucede frente a la piscina, la recepcionista del hotel no fue muy amable, pero la persona que nos entregó el apartamento si lo fue.

It is very comfortable. I like that the patio is on the quiet side. 2nd time in this unit because it feels like home. Ms Dorothy is also an awesome housekeeper.

This was such a lovely property to stay in. Very clean and had everything you would need for your stay! Very big comfortable bed and good AC throughout. Dorothy and Margaret were very attentive and helpful.

The pillows, they were too flat could use regular standard pillows

I liked the apartment size and fully equipped kitchen. We also liked the pool chairs.

The staff at the reception needs training in customer service. We did not get any information about beach access or the closed gates of the property. Instead we were handed a piece of paper in the morning with the information that the beach is open from 7 am. We ended up in front of a completely fenced off beach which only opened at 8.30 am. The staff at the pool bar was also not much interested in clients. It seemed that the prices on the menu were made up. A big tip seems to be included.

Was greeted on arrival, We were shown around and discussed how to operate the equipment I.e.. air conditioning, stove, etc..

Initially had to get use to stove as its electric whilst I’ve only used gas….but by the end of the week we were all good!

The unit was perfect. Beautifully decorated. The owner put alot of thought into it, even reading books and a radio. The balcony is private. The unit was spotles. 10/10. I will definitely stay there again.

It was very close the everything in the town, beach in front of the property, room was very spacious, clean and modern. And to top it off the host and her staff were really professional and accommodating. I felt like home away from home. See you soon♥️

All great, good location , access to the best beach, all the services u need in a resort. We had a great stay, the apartment was confy and spacious, all was working good.

The check in was completely disorganized. We didn't get the room that was advertised (however they did reduce the price). They could only accept cash. It was noisy until late and construction started early.

Wonderful apartment in a great location. Communication was brilliant and so helpful. Everything we needed was close to hand and some thoughtful touches, like a hairdryer, were available too.

The owner took payment a month earlier than the date stated, which impacted my finances quite seriously just before Christmas. If I had been expecting this, I could have budgeted for it. I didn't mind the money going out earlier than expected, but would have liked some communication to let me know. Otherwise everything was perfect.

The property was comfortable, clean and had all amenities which a rental property should have. I had a fantastic shower, sleep and overall stay. The location is ideal too. The host/owner was 10/10 with communication and extremely helpful.

The host, location and property were superb! Strong WiFi, and air conditioning in the bedroom and living room. The apartment has lovely private balcony and the bathroom is modern too. The apartment is clean and is situated right by the beach restaurants etc. Though I don’t tent to cook while I’m on holiday, the kitchen is stocked with cutlery, utensils etc! The host, Margaret is a great communicator and very responsive to your needs, questions and queries.

The key lock on the door was a pain it work when it wants so had trouble getting in and out the apartment a key would be much better and convenient

I highly recommend NO ONE book this property. Someone broke into my mom’s room while she was sleeping and stole her credit cards, phone and cash. She woke up feeling disoriented and hazy like she was drugged. After making a police report, the property manager indicated she was sorry and it was at that time, we were informed that this had happened before. For your own safety, RUNNNN! We were born and raised in Jamaica and have never experienced anything like this.

The apartment was very clean and meet my expectations. It was like being home away from home. Loved the comfort of the bed and pillows. Air conditioning was excellent and hot water was available. Excellent wi-fi connection and the cost was included. The host Margaret was very responsive and answered all my questions. She checked in to see that I had everything I needed. The housekeeper Claudia was very friendly and made sure the apartment was clean during my stay which was for 7 nights.

The couch is low and seems partially broken and could be replaced but it was still okay sitting in. Just a little challenging getting up from sitting position.

The location was nice and the unit is on the beach.

We paid for 2 beds. The sofa was supposed to be a sleep sofa. But when we opened the sofa there was wood for the base where it looked like someone tried to piece it together. My kids couldn’t sleep on the bed because it wouldn’t lay flat. The owner knew the bed was broken because there was a review in Feb about it. However she pretended not to know. My kids had to sleep with my husband and I which was extremely uncomfortable. They tried sending someone to fix the bed the next day, but it only lasted a few hours. When I asked to be moved they told me I would have to pay for a 2brm. Which I felt was ridiculous. The owner called my husband with a sad excuse but that doesn’t change our experience. Beware and don’t waste your money or time with this lady. She’s cheap and unreasonable. She also refused to compensate us for our trouble.

The room was just lovely, bed was like sleeping on a cloud.

Cleanness,location and responsiveness of the host. Everything you need to feel comfortable is in the apartment.

The apartment was nice.

The sofa bed does no open flat making it uncomfortable and unusable as as second bed, as promised. The housecleaner waiting outside our door 20 minutes before check-out time, which made us feel like we were being rushed out.

the very day I check into this room I didd my assessment in the bathroom there was ONLY 2 wash cloth. there was no bath mat no towels I contacted the lady or the person that over see or supervise this apartment she said that she was unaware that was no towel because the housekeeper did the room. that very night no one came to give us towel, by the way we only get towel 3 time while we where there. they only clean the room once. we also complain about the wifi a gentleman came by and bring a wifi box it never work my entire stay and I was there for 8 night

The apartment was very comfortable and the bed was wonderful. The shower was great and the balcony was good, not a lot of traffic walking by.

The cooktop was diffcult to work. I have use them before when I rent a suite. This one was not easy. They need a better resturant on site, the food was fair.

Overall, it was "ok". The room was nice and it was clean. The bedroom had a large bed but the mattress was hard and uncomfortable. The pull-out sofa in the living room was not the one in the pictures online. It was old, mattress was not nice and was very hard and uncomfortable for our kids. Several nights they slept on cushions on the floor instead, even though the cushions had rips down the seams. It was nice to have a kitchenette although only 1 person could be in it at the time due to the size. We did have hot water and air conditioning, which was a plus! The pool was VERY disappointing. The water was cloudy and the life guard was NOT nice. Our first day he yelled at our son about everything and when my husband confronted him, he got in his face and was yelling at us. I thought he was going to punch him! We ended up not going back to the pool. We called the owner of the room and complained and wanted to get a refund and stay somewhere else but we were told it was non-refundable and basically we were out of luck. I do have to say that the housekeeper for our room, Miss Beverly, was wonderful! She tried to make up for the problems we had by making us a nice fruit basket and she checked on us every few days and cleaned our room and brought fresh linens.

i love everything about they Property and Apartment i will sure be staying there on my next visit to Ocho Rios
