The location was great.

The kitchen space is extremely compacted cooker has mould above it.

Le personnel toujours souriant. L’emplacement. Le jardin. Proximité et accès à la plage.

Salon surchargé en mobilier. Cuisine vielle et encombrée. Trop de placard. Finition mur (trou salle de bain)

Needed breakfast as an option and pool side entertainment /activities to build a vibe.

This place is big. I wish we had someone to escort us to our room. It took us 3 different times to find our room.

Sandra who works with the apartment was very helpful and nice, a humble young lady.

The view from the apartment was good. A new kitchen countertop was added while we were there.

A few times wasn't working properly when we got there, but was addressed once we spoke with the owners

Not a hotel, but, a preferred chill spot, and cozy. The environment is also good, not lonely, but, quiet and private. The pool and bar is also vibe.

I would stay here again with a group

Great accommodation in a great location! We (a couple) booked two nights in this great apartment and were completely thrilled! The apartment is very spacious, technically well equipped and very centrally located within walking distance of the beach, many stores and restaurants. Everything was provided in the apartment, from towels to hairdryer, iron and lots of kitchen utensils as well as a coffee machine, microwave and blender. Sandcastles is a gated and guarded residential complex with a beautiful communal pool and a restaurant where you can have breakfast, lunch or dinner. You always felt safe there. Communication with the landlord Donovan via WhatsApp or email was very friendly and he always responded to questions in a very short time. He also had lots of good tips for us. A practical feature is an access code received in advance, which you can use to check in at any time. The view was also very nice, you could even see the sea from the side. It was absolutely perfect for us and we would come back any time!

Is close to the public beach and is not extra charge to get in if you stay in SC, but you have to pay for your beach chair if you want one, close to local markets and stores. Meals are not included. -D. Was nice at checking in, very smooth communication via phone and text . -leaving room was decent extra bed in LR make a good choose for 3 guest - it was one coffee one tea and couple sugar only for one person -extra towel in dresser

-the room is on the third floor 🙁and not elevator access. -the bed is super high it was very hard and frustrating to get in till we find a stool on the closet it help a little bit and make it a little easy we laughed of how high the bed is scary as well -I thought the beach was part of the place but not -the pool was looking rough needed service -the toilet is high as well and I’m 5’6 -the shower head is super high -is a good place for taller people -feels like anyone have access to the property specially in the evening unless they leave there -it wasn’t nice to receive a text from D. Asking me if I took the stool I was in shock why will I take a stool 🤭when I can clearly see he needs it more then I do in fact he needs more then one, one for each side of the bed 🛌 .

Location is excelent, with access to the beach, near local market, tours etc. Restaurant with good affordable food. Very confortable bed, good shower. Staff very nice and gentle. Donovan was always kind and helped us a lot.

We had a problem getting hot water in the first day, but Donovan helped us to solve it right away. Also, we were in four people, but there were not enough towels, that was quickly solved too. Maybe it is better suited for 3 people instead of 4, but it was perfect for my family.

The host was great and very helpful and professional. The room was clean and comfortable The property overall was good the staff was accommodating.

yes! I was in this room 2 times. Everything that I wrote in the first review has been fixed, I wanted to give it 5+, but in the evening we wanted to drink tea but the kettle did not turn on, the power went out in the sockets, there was no light in one room, only the air conditioner worked, there was no light and hot water in the bathroom either. and the owner is not very kind! Think about it, you should book this room.

Was disorganised they were not prepared for our arrival room was not clean, the apartment needs an update shower head was broken, toilet seat was leaning. A few small fixes would really improve this place.

Location is ideal,everything is in close proximity. Booked for 8 days. Unit floor and bathroom was cleaned only once. No change of sheets. No one to ask anything.

The shower doesn’t work properly, the bed was very hard to get into. Most places offer at least some coffee or tea for guest. Being on the 3rd floor with several luggage and no elevator was an hassle.

This property is not safe, the bed and bath was too High, the bath was dirty, toilet is leaking, floor dirty and bed linen wasn’t clean enough. Anyone can walk in on the property.

This is my second time here and i cannot get the hot water in the shower for nothing. I turn left, right up and down, still no not water, i managed to get it luke warm, but at that stage the pressure wasnt high. Guess i dont understand it. For a 3 night stay. I believe access to a broom or mop would be good, plus additional towels, evwn though i traveled with extras.

So Ms Mckenzie accompanied us to the room, the place was clean. Bedroom great, amenities in place. Nice spot. Was impressed.Very comfy

The toilet was leaking so the floor was wet, the hot water took a while in the shower. A interior shower curtain is needed, maybe a clear plastic one, also a bedside mat could do as the bed is high..lol so you dont slide when coming down and a bit more air freshener. But i will return. Good overall

The host and the a lady called Donna who meets people to give them the keys to check in she has attitude and is Very rude her face is unwelcoming I don’t like her at all She spoils it more for the property

We had a good stay. The unit overlooks a parking lot. The sofa bed is extremely uncomfortable … ended up getting a blow up bed from a cousin to use. We were able to walk to a couple different restaurants, shopping and Starbucks.

Apartment was grubby, decrepid lacking maintenance. Poorly equipped, no bottle opener, corkscrew, tin opener etc. No hot water in kitchen. No glass in windows bedroom. Bathroom tap and shower head not serviceable.

It is right on the beach and in the center of Ocho Rios. The location was great.

this is just an apartment and not a hotel so there is no breakfast or real facilities. it had cockroaches. it was not an ideal place for a family.

I am so happy I decided to stay here. The apartment was clean and up to date with everything we needed for our comfort, and was affordable. The staff at the property was friendly and helpful. Communication with the host was simple and she actually called to check on us during our stay. The property is located on the main road in Ocho Ríos which is very convenient with a lot of shopping areas and restaurants within walking distance. Easy access to the beach right behind the property. We stayed for 4 days, and during that time housekeeping only came once so they could improve on that. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.

Stay should have been longer

Breakfast and location excellent!

The greeter could have had customers service training. Not making excuses that insane; have garbage bags for more than 1 day; when I asked for a broom don’t offered a map as well; shower curtain not hanging in the tub bottom gross; mats in the bathroom and bedroom tile floor; pillows on the couch smells gross; I asked for receipt and still didn’t get one; patio no chairs door handle inside is broken we kept putting it back on; was told it was broken.

The location was perfect for what we had planned for the evening. The beach access with pool and a hot tub was nice. An airbnb in a hotel type setting.

There weren’t enough towels or rags set out for the total number of guests booked. Checking in was not the best experience. Would have been nicer if the hot tub and pool wasn’t closed off so early. Would also have been nicer if there was a sofa bed in the living room area. The kitchen was very dated with limited cutlery. A few minor upgrades and this place can be an amazing room I would stay in again for my multiply trips to Ochi.

Well kept and lively location. Unit was comfortable and clean. Easy beach access and quick walk to shops, restaurants and nightlife. Friendly bar staff with good vibes. A great alternative to “resorts.”

I love everything

Horrible experience. Most of the people who works in this hotel don't really understand that they provide a service. In exchange the hotel gets paid by people like me. Unfortunately they don't understand that the key to their success is to bring me back but they worked so hard to do the opposite. I WILL NEVER go back to this property.
