There was some street people nearby but they weren’t bothering us.

Was great clean bed was very comfortable the front desk ladies were very nice even though I live in Lloyd my sewer backed up with all the rain and I guess there is a policy you don't let Lloyd people stay there but thankfully you did! 👍 nice shower big bright bathroom

I found it too quite there seemed to be a lot of people there. I was scared to fart incase everyone heard me lol. Must have good walls. Oh your cable sucks but I have lots data on my phone. But everything was great!

There was very little that I liked about my stay at the Royal Hotel. "Booking.com" had indicated that this hotel had a rating of 8 out of 10. How did this hotel receive such a high rating? I found that the hotel itself was very seedy and scruffy. I was concerned that my car would be broken into while I slept. There were signs stating that guests need to be careful as to what was left in their car. Due to the state of the building itself, the unsafe location and the type of clientele that were staying at this Hotel, the Royal Hotel shouldn't receive a rating any higher then 6.

My stay was great. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. My room was clean, comfy.

I booked through booking .com and later found out that I paid way over the amount of what my friends paid for the weekend. I called the hotel 1 month before I booked and it was higher so I booked using another source and then the hotel dropped their prices but it was too late as I already booked. I was disappointed how much more I paid for the room in the end. Next time I may not book so early.

The whole experience was amazing! We slept there one night, then actually went back for another night knowing how good it was. They had a kettle! Most hotels now just have a coffee machine. They actually had both. So I could actually have some tea. We also got a complimentary breakfast bag which wasn't expected. The staff are amazing, helpful and friendly. The cost was cheap and the place was clean and neat and even older, kept in great condition.

As mentioned in my other review, it was amazing. We slept here and then actually went back for another night. Everyone was helpful and friendly and everything was very neat and clean. And the pillows were super comfy! Best hotel pillows ever! Wish I could take them home with me 😂

The only thing I could say, but this is really very minor, was the soap, shampoo, etc. is little for a family of 4, but we could get complimentary ones at the front desk. I just always think the large bottles hooked to the walls in the hotel works a little better, especially with a larger room. But there was enough towels, where we have visited other hotels and had to ask for more towels.

Close to food places at least

I didn’t like that the staff weren’t as helpful to me as they were to the people in front of me in line. I didn’t like that we got woken up from knocking every single morning of our stay just to be asked if we needed “trash “ taken. The location is sketchy, pictures on their site do not look the same in person! Definitely a motel vibe

Pet friendly.

Nothing special, very basic.

The manager and her staff were absolutely wonderful and so kind to me after I got stranded due to a car issue. They went above and beyond with my accommodation and finding me help to get me back on the road. The hotel itself was absolutely lovely and comfortable, really thankful for my experience! here!!

I was travelling with dogs so had a very clean and nice room on the bottom floor with a small grassed courtyard available. Back Alley where parking is a bit sketchy at night. Pet fee should include 2 dogs not per pet per night that’s expensive on top of room rate.

Older hotels

Loved the grab and go breakfast as we were attending the local dog show and were very rushed in the mornings.

Larger refrigerator with a door on the freezer section; freezer capacity was too small and food below it froze. Don’t care for the pet fee; we are exceptionally careful with showdogs and hotel rooms!

Breakfast was simple, nothing special about it. Room was quiet and tidy, nothing exceptional.

Too many people lingering by the doorways. Made us feel uncomfortable while loading and unloading our vehicle.

It was an older hotel but very well kept. Clean, comfortable and in good condition. Only downside was no elevator. Not wanting to leave things in the vehicle meant taking it all to the room upstairs for just one night and no elevator.

I am a repeat customer at this hotel. It is very clean and the beds sre comfortable. The staff are extremely nice and wuite competent.

Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Good lighting on both side of the bed so we could each read. Hotel was on a busy highway , but so we're all the other hotels. Price was decent. Breakfast was a "paper bag " breakfast. We had to heat the breakfast sandwich in our microwave. It was okay, not great. We were given choices to submit the night before. Hotel was 100 per cent booked , with evacuees from wildfires from northern Saskatchewan wildfires, but not noisy.

We were on the second floor, and there was no elevator. Staircases indoors and outdoors. Luckily, son in law carried our suitcase up for us. We are 80 and 82 years old.

Bed was hard

Easy check in. Easy check out. Nice clean affordable hotel. Would definitely recommend it and would stay there again.

People on staff were friendly, helpful and polite. The grab and go breakfast was very good. Room was quiet and temperature was on the number.

Thin walls.

Rooms were accessible from outside. However the only one available room available was facing the court yard. My husband had mobility issues and had a hard time walking far. The staff was very kind and helped him to the room. Carried some of our items for us.

The way to get to the parking spot in front of the room was on a hill. Rather difficult to access our items. Hard to stand.

Awesome staff.

We stayed at this property on May 31. Our room was located on the ground floor. Around 4 a.m., we experienced a very disturbing and alarming incident: someone attempted to enter our room. To our shock, they were able to unlock the front door. Fortunately, the safety latch prevented them from coming in. Then, the same person went around and successfully opened the back door. My wife had to physically hold the door shut and shout, which caused the intruder to flee. We reported the incident to the front desk. They took note of our complaint, but what deeply concerns us is how the individual managed to unlock doors that are supposed to be accessible only by key card.

Royal Hotel in Loydminster has the friendliest service in the town! Very clean and comfy! I wouldn't go anywhere else in Loyd!!!!

The Royal is a down to earth hotel - rooms are reasonably spacious & very clean. Parking is easy. For an inexpensive, convenient stay it’s perfect.

The staff were amazing, the room was nice and clean and well stocked with everything including a kettle and Keurig. The fact that we could enter from outside and park right in front of our door was bonus. The restaurant was good for supper and the grab and go bags from the hotel in the morning were excellent. Highly recommend and will definitely stay again when through Lloydminster.
