Just come back from a five night stay and would have liked to stay longer if it would have been possible for us. Went as a family of 4 with two teenage girls. First of all I'd like to thank all the staff members as they try their best to help you throughout your stay, always making sure you are ok and are all very polite. We stayed in a suite which had really comfy beds ( even the sofa beds ) , a fridge, 2 TVs, a safe and a large shower which was nice and powerful, also had a big balcony with table and chairs. We stayed on a half board basis and the breakfast and evening meal were very nice and we always found things that we liked. Plenty of healthy options and full breakfast options. Only negatives about the breakfast was the sausages and the coffee machine but everything else was really good. The drinks from the two bars were good, think I was paying about €6 a pint. The two pools were also good, on arrival you are given little cards which allows you to get clean towels every day and then you get them back when you hand the dirty towels back, we never struggled to get sunbeds which is a big plus for us. The hotel is a short walk ( 2-3 mins ) to the beach where you will find an excellent bar/restaurant called Heaven, the food, drinks and the atmosphere here were fantastic, was paying €5 for a pint of Fix beer which is so nice. Also do the usual Mythos etc. There are also a few little supermarkets across the road which are very good for prices and are open very late. The waterpark transfer picked us up directly across the road from a little bus stop. The area itself felt really safe with a happy vibe. On our last day we were able to put our cases in the luggage room as we weren't flying til around midnight and had access to showers which were next to the little gym so spent the whole day around the pool. If you want a nice chilled relaxing holiday with friendly people around then definitely come here. We look forward to returning in the future. Thanks again to all the staff at petousis.

We liked the hotel overall but had a couple of issues. This was a birthday trip and the hotel charged €25 for room decorations, when we arrived this was one happy birthday banner and a handful of small balloons on the bed, which was very disappointing for the price, however they did agree to lower the fee to €15. There were also some minor issues with our room such as a broken bin and a hornets nest on our balcony. The final issue was unfortunately with a member of staff - my partner has eczema and a staff member pointed this out by saying “What’s wrong with your face?” (completely out of the blue given we were at the bar ordering a drink) which caused unnecessary upset.

We have just returned from this hotel. Hotel has a welcoming feel, towels changes daily and rooms kept cool and clean. Staff are without exception so friendly and professional and a special shout out to the lifeguard at the pool who took great care to look after everyone. Ideally situated with the beach a straight, flat 5 minutes walk with plenty of sun beds to hire at a reasonable price . good choice of restaurants within walking distance. We particularly enjoyed the Petousis restaurant, always busy, great vibes and food excellent. We only stayed for a week and didn’t do a huge amount of exploring past the pool and beach as that was what we needed for the week but I know there would be plenty to visit if you fancied trips out. Would definitely stay again 🩷

We’ve just arrived home after 11 nights at this lovely little hotel as a family with two adult daughters. We had a double and a junior suite, and after emailing the hotel in advance, they accommodated our request for the rooms to be close together. The rooms are modern, clean and have excellent adjustable air con. The junior suite had a huge balcony and is a great size. There is water in the fridge on arrival as well as a fruit bowl and small bottle of wine. The air con wasn’t too noisy and it did help drown out some of the traffic noise from the nearby main road. Two pools are both great, one is near the pool bar and has more natural shade and grassed areas. Our favourite was the more modern pool and we always found beds. We had a few lunches sat in the shade next to the main bar and the portions are huge. The food is tasty and the drinks, while a bit pricey are well prepared. Anna welcomed us when we arrived and she is always there with a smile and is a great asset to the hotel. As are the dynamic Babis and Babis duo who make great cocktails and have a great nature. We stayed on a B&B basis and the breakfast selection was perfect. Something to please everybody and a great selection for all nationalities. We ate one night in the adjacent hotel taverna, food was fine, service was great but it was just too noisy and canteen like for us. We tried a good few local restaurants and also went into Heraklion a few times for a change of scene. The beach is a 2 min walk away and there’s plenty of options for beach bars/clubs. We hired a car for a week and went exploring the island which I’d highly recommend. Supermarket across the road from the taverna does baguettes, sandwiches and huge fresh doughnuts. A couple of places to get crepes and sweet treats from. The resort would suit people who want the proximity to a big city but also beach options on the door step. If I could put this hotel and its staff in a quieter location I would but that would be the only thing stopping us returning but given the high level of repeat guests it really appeals. Returned yesterday from this lovely family run hotel as family of four with a 19 and 23 year old. We had a interconnecting room in the block across the quiet road which suited us, but not sure I would of liked this if not with my family. The rooms were modern, beds and pillows comfortable. Shower always hot. We had half board and the buffet restaurant was lovely and peaceful at both breakfast and evening meal. All the staff we came across were friendly, a special mention to Babis and Katerina who served us during the day at the pool and also in the restaurant at night. Also the two ladies at the pool bar (Kiki and Voila). Thank you to the lady on reception who sorted out our late check out which cost €60 upto 6pm. There was Greek music twice a week which was great. Even the manager has a song or two at the end. Talking of the manager he was very visible and interacted with guests. Sunbeds were no problem getting every day. There were always some free during the day at either pool. The life guard was always visible and helpful, he would even entertain the younger children in the pool by playing ball with them. Would recommend this hotel for a quiet and relaxing break.

Booked this hotel as we wanted a smaller, quieter hotel from the previous years holiday. It was exactly as described. Hotel, room, staff and food amazing in a really relaxing environment…the herb gardens dotted around the pool and bar areas fantastic! Back to the staff Maria in the wellness suite was amazing, Vangellis life guard and general top bloke really connected with us and the kids, couldn’t do enough for us - Kiki and Voula and both Babis’ and DeSara - made us feel at home…we will miss them! We’ve just returned from an 11-night stay at Petousis Hotel and Suites as a family of three (including our 13-year-old), and we had a great holiday. We stayed in one of the suites, which was spacious, with comfortable beds, two great bathrooms, modern air con, and a private pool that we used every day. The welcome wine and fruit were a nice touch. Housekeeping visited almost every day, and our housekeeper was excellent. We also made good use of the small air-conditioned gym (it has free weights, exercise bikes, and multi-gym machines) and had massages with Maria which we highly recommend. The hotel facilities and service were excellent throughout. Breakfast has a wide variety and even though we visited at the height of the season, there was always somewhere to sit and plenty of food available. There are two main pools with enough sunbeds for everyone, plus a separate area for young children. There is a spacious bar where we watched a few World Cup matches and that had live music twice weekly. Most days we ordered drinks and good food poolside from the staff, who work extremely hard, smile, and are always around to help. The hotel manager too, was visible and often stopped for a friendly chat, which sets the tone for the whole team. The location couldn't be better - a flat, two-minute walk down to the beach, and there are tourist shops, tavernas, and cafes along the strip outside the hotel where there is a supermarket and the busy Petousis restaurant. It’s also easy to take the bus into Heraklion from the stop opposite the hotel (buy tickets for €1.80 at the supermarket). Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Petousis Hotel and Suites.

Had the best time here, the staff are thoughtful and cannot do enough for you, in particular Maria who provided the most relaxing foot and leg massage I have ever had and made me look years younger with a lymphatic drain massage, she’s super professional and made me feel so relaxed and comfortable. The life guard was so friendly with the children and accommodating even playing a game of volley ball and providing floaties. We will certainly be returning ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Struttura a 3 minuti a piedi dal mare e a 10 minuti di macchina dal centro di Heraklion, in più ci sono due parcheggi gratuiti grandissimi per l’auto. La stanza che avevamo era moderna e dotata di tutto il necessario (tv smart, frigo, cassaforte armadio grande, phon, etcc) ,cambiavano gli asciugamani tutti i giorni. Avevamo una terrazza enorme vista mare in cui c’era lo stendi abiti. Abbiamo preso la mezza pensione, era tutto molto abbondante e c’era vasta scelta, il cibo è molto buono e fatto da loro. Le piscine sono molto belle e vengono pulite continuamente, c’è una piccola palestra e offrono 10 minuti di massaggio.

Il primo giorno il bagno era sporco e ho dovuto pulirlo io, inoltre era talmente piccolo che il lavandino è in camera, e per quanto abbia speso ci aspettavamo una camera più grande. C’era qualche capello per terra ma capisco che è impossibile toglierli tutti, però il balcone non veniva pulito da un po’ in quanto c’erano i residui degli ospiti precedenti ( c’erano pop corn per terra). All’arrivo c’è stata un incomprensione con la reception in quanto sembrava che la cena alla taverna fosse inclusa nella mezza pensione quindi il primo giorno l’abbiamo dovuto pagare, perché il buffet è in un’altra stanza. L’acqua, a cena, è a pagamento e costa 3,30€ una bottiglia grande.

Unfortunately, our stay at Petousis Hotel & Suites was disappointing, and I wouldn’t choose to stay here again. To start with, the room itself had several maintenance issues. The toilet flush had no handle or cover, which gave the bathroom an unfinished and poorly maintained appearance. One of the biggest concerns was accessibility. We stayed in the family rooms building, which has no lift to access the first floor. When we asked about this, we were told there was “no need” because the building only has a ground floor and first floor. I found this response very disappointing, as it completely overlooks guests with disabilities, mobility issues, injuries, or anyone who struggles with stairs. For a hotel that advertises itself as a 4-star property, I expected accessibility to be taken far more seriously. Another major issue was the hot water. Every morning there was little to no hot water, making it difficult to have a proper shower. It seemed as though the system couldn’t cope when multiple guests were using it at the same time. The beds were also extremely uncomfortable. They were so firm that sleeping on a futon would genuinely have been more comfortable. Noise was another significant problem. We could constantly hear traffic from the nearby road as well as children playing in the play area. We asked if it was possible to move rooms, but were told there were no other family rooms available. As my mum and I wanted separate beds, changing to a standard room wasn’t a suitable option. Finally, the hotel’s organisation was extremely disappointing. On our first evening, we arrived late and decided it would be easiest to have dinner at the buffet. We were told it would cost €20 per person, which was perfectly fine. However, when my mum later went to pay, reception had no record of us using the buffet. She had signed her name and room number on a receipt at the time, yet they claimed they had no copy or record of it. It took quite a while to resolve before they were finally able to accept payment. It was frustrating that such a simple transaction became unnecessarily complicated due to poor record-keeping. However, despite the many issues we encountered during our stay, I would like to acknowledge that most of the staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They did their best to assist us whenever we had a concern, and they were one of the few positive aspects of our experience.

Just returned from a fantastic holiday at this beautiful hotel. Friendly staff, good location and immaculately clean. Thank you to everyone at Petousis, we have rebooked… see you next year

Maria gave me an excellent massageshe was incredibly skilled, kind, and friendly. The entire team, including Vaskilina, Anna, and Nikolas, were all amazing and made me feel so welcome. I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

This Hotel is amazing. We stayed in a Junior Suite, and our room was a great size, and spotlessly clean. The staff really make this hotel what it is, and that starts at the very top with the hotel Manager who is always walking around interacting with the guests. They all work so hard to make sure everything is just right. The housekeeping team keep the rooms to a high standard. The Lifeguard around the pool makes sure everyone is happy, providing clean towels, tidying the tables and chairs, and making sure everyone is having a good time. The bar and waiting staff in the main bar, and around the pool areas do a fantastic job. We stayed on a Bed and Breakfast basis, and the breakfast buffet was always fresh, with a great selection. Fresh fruits, yoghurts, meats, cheeses as well as a hot selection. The atmosphere in the hotel is really chilled, definitely not a party hotel if that is your thing. They have live music in the main bar twice a week and we really enjoyed it. There is always Greek music and dancing involved. Big shout out to Babis and Babis on the main bar who were great. At the front of the hotel is the Petousis Taverna. This is must if you stay here. Amazing food and excellent prices. There is also a brilliant Beach club about 2 minutes walk away, called Heaven. Again, a must if you are staying at this hotel.

my friend and I had a lovely week holiday at this beautiful hotel. The room was spotlessly clean and the shower was amazing with the water pressure being the best I’ve ever encountered in Greece. The staff were all lovely but special shout out to the young barman who was exceexceptionally proficient and professional. The variety and quality of the breakfast was excellent and we did eat in the Taverna, which was also very good. We also used the spa and the gym - again a really nice touch in a small and friendly hotel. All in all we had a lovely stay at this hotel in room 206

Lovely hotel with good facilities and only a five minute walk to the beach. Good breakfast with lots of choice. Pool area never too busy, sun loungers always available. Staff are lovely and I must give a special mention to Babis and Babis in the hotel bar. Both are so lovely, friendly and make a great Spritz! Those boys are a real credit to the hotel, can’t praise them highly enough.

We stayed there for a week. It looks lovely from the outside and the pool area is very nice. It’s a 5 min walk to the beach which is clean. The restaurant Taverna is good, some things are a bit overpriced. The staff at the hotel especially the waiters and cooks were so friendly!! There was one guy at reception who wasn’t helpful at all when we needed directions to a beach but other than that everyone was so helpful. There are shops and restaurants nearby and the bus takes 30 min to Heraklion Center. The rooms are made up every day - not cleaned. This is where they could improve. Other than that - I would definitely come back.

We stayed for 10 nights in a junior suite, and had an incredibly relaxing holiday. The hotel is spotless and the staff are all so helpful and welcoming. We were able to arrange for a late check out the day that we left, which was easily done and made our last day much more relaxing. A fantastic holiday.

Just had 2 weeks at Petousis hotel.what a lovely experience. Check in was very easy and our room on 4th floor was very comfortable. Our maid was exceptionally good and so cheery and friendly. All the staff were very polite and accommodating. Big shout out to Kiki was was always there when we needed a drink or a snack. You cannot go to Petousis hotel without visiting the spa,where we had a free 10 minute massage . Maria was so friendly and always there for a chat. I also had a 60 minute massage from John who was very professional and experienced. All in all a good relaxing holiday. Would recommend this hotel for a relaxing chilled holiday.

We stayed here for 12 nights and enjoyed our stay. The room was slightly smaller than expected but had plenty of cupboard space. The shower was really good but the hand basin is in the bedroom which isn't ideal. Cleanliness was good and the housekeeper was super friendly. We had a jacuzzi which was a nice addition with two sun loungers and a table and chairs. The terrace area could've done with being swept more often as debris did accumulate over the 12 days. Breakfast was good with a lot of variety. Always plenty of places to sit. We did have a few problems. Our TV didn't work on arrival and the toilet ran all night but these were very quickly rectified. There was a leak from the room above which I reported straight away but it took two further visits to reception for this to be fixed. I felt this could've been dealt with better. However, they did check that it was no longer a problem for us a few times after it was fixed which I thought was good. Overall a really nice place to stay and we had a lovely holiday

A beautiful, modern hotel with stylish and comfortable rooms. The bath towels were replaced every day, and there was also a convenient towel service for both the pool and the beach. The breakfast was extensive and of excellent quality. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always helpful. The wellness facilities are excellent, and the massages are highly recommended. The hotel is within walking distance of the beach, where you'll also find a lovely beach club. It's also just a short taxi ride from Heraklion. We had a wonderful holiday and would happily return.

A very well massage. Maria was very professional and friendly. Easy to talk to. The spa was easy to locate and if you did have a problem finding it Maria will help you and come up to you on poolside and introduce herself. Overall the massage was lovely. The pressure was perfect. You feel relaxed and at ease. The spa was easy to book. The spa is beautiful when you go in! Overall the experience was fantastic and I would recommend for anyone! Please support Maria!❤️

We arrived late at night, check in was easy and quick, they had kindly left a small bottle of red wine, some fruit and a bottle of water in the room. Suite - Positives - As there was 3 of we had booked a suite. Suite was lovely and clean with view of both pools and the ocean in the near distance. Stylish and Sleek decor. Air conditioning was excellent. Lovely and Quiet in the evening. Not so good - Cleaners did a good job of the room, however a sweep of the balcony would not have gone wrong, and the the coffee/tea/sugar was rarely replenished. The beds - horrendous - brick hard and thin by the middle of the holiday we were waking throughout the night with back pain and were very sore in the morning. Fridge worked poorly. Chairs on balcony uncomfy which was disappointing as we would normally sit on the balcony after dinner for a few hours but this put us off doing so. Pool area - Friendly, efficient staff who went out their way to ensure you had a great experience. Food was great at the pool bar as was the cocktails. However at the cost of 11€ each I would expect this. Cleanliness in all main areas was excellent. Cleaners and handymen would spend hours at sunrise ensuring perfection. Never had a problem obtaining a sunlounger regardless of time of day. Both pools were lovely, ladders at shallow end of smaller pool definately need to be secured a little better, a tad scary! Breakfast - Very Good Excellent selection, pastries, cake, various breads, the usual bacon, egg, sausage selection. Cold meats and cheeses, yogurt, fresh fruit, seeds and nuts. Only suggestion for improvement would be for fresh juice not from a machine that provides concentrated. Spa The three of us all had scrubs, massage and facial. Maria was wonderful and we highly recommend. Checkout - Mmm - Poor. Ok so our flight was late at night to we requested a late checkout. We were happy to pay for this. We were informed it would depend on the arrival time for the next guests arrival which is understandable. On the morning of check out we asked and were told no as the person wss arriving early. Had this been true, fair enough. However I was aware the person going into the room was not arriving until after 9pm that night. Honesty is important. This left us with 2 options - Check out between 10am-11am and use the spa shower. Or pay £100 Euro (ridiculous) for the use of a room until collection at 8pm. Needless to say our previous room was still empty on leaving. The room we paid €100 for 8hrs was a double over looking the pool and had very comfy mattresses!! Overall - we loved the area, the hotel, will we come back? Probably not due to the dishonesty at check out which is a real shame.

Helpful staff, excellent breakfast, and a good location — it takes about 35 minutes by bus to reach the center of Heraklion. There is a beautiful public beach nearby, the rooms are kept clean, the beds are comfortable, the air conditioning works well, and there are two excellent swimming pools. Overall, it is an excellent family-run hotel where you feel right at home. By the way, the food at Petousis Restaurant is delicious and reasonably priced.

What a gorgeous stay we have had . Hotel is so clean , well kept and I'd say the best in the last d back quiet Amadoura resort . Pool is well kept and life guard is so attentive and we noticed so good with the children . All staff are all amazing but there was stand out service from Sara - assistant manager . Babis & Babis who worked the bar and the restaurant, these guys genuinely took an interest and made us feel special aswell as serving amazing cocktails . Entertainment mon & Thursday with Sax / local band and Maria giving varied music aswell as Cretan. Which we thoroughly enjoyed learning the Cretan dance from Maria and Babis . The hotel manager also likes to entertain and has a good voice . We also treat ourselves and had a wonderful massage on site . All in all a 5* from us just what we needed a relaxing 11 days recharging our batteries .

Spoke to Maria from the Spa around the poolside re massage. No pressure and very easy to talk to. Booked myself in for an aromatherapy massage. The place is spotless and Maria made me feel very relaxed and comfortable, came out feeling much lighter and energised. Highly recommend.

The pictures are amazing, so we booked this Hotel for our last night, canceled our previous one, to have a really nice finish to our trip and also be a bit closer to the airport. Location is ok, the nearby beach and cafe there are nice. The pictures you see from the restaurant and playground are from Taverna, that is not the same place where you will have breakfast or dinner, if you choose half-board. The Taverna is also nice, we had lunch there 😊 pool area is nice.

Several things we didn’t like: 1. Seemed like the lady at reception was new (which is not the problem), but she was left alone before she was fully trained, we had the feeling. We were left with some confusion at the check-in. 2. Booked a family room with garden view. I didn’t know that a wall is called a garden now 🙃 you can see the view in picture. I understand, not all rooms have views, but let me know that before I book. 3. The rooms are quite small and dark, smells a bit like mould, which unfortunately is present in the bathroom. 4. They have no insect net for the doors to terrace, there were no windows, so to have some fresh air we kept doors open, but the room was filled with mosquitoes quite fast and my older kid woke up covered in bites, on face and arms. Luckily baby was in another room. 5. Some confusion between departments. I didn’t go to breakfast. My husband wanted to order something at the pool bar for me, but they sent him to reception. Reception took his order, but at the end said he should better call the pool bar himself because they actually don’t know if they have everything. Sorry, what? 😄 then he went to the pool bar again and now they took his order. One hour later I received my coffee, juice and sandwich in the room 🙃 mind you it was not very busy at that time. Overall the hotel is not bad, it just does not meet 4* expectations both room and service wise. Our friends stayed at the junior suite and had wonderful room with nice view.

We have had a lovely time at the Petousis Hotel. The breakfast is delicious, it is close to the beach and we had a lovely massage with Maria. I would definitely recommend!!

We have just left after a wonderful week at Petousis hotel. What a quiet gem of a place! I was initially a little worried there wouldn’t be enough entertainment for my 3 year old but the pool and beach nearby provided plenty enough entertainment. There was occasionally entertainment in the evening but mostly the hotel was just so lovely and quiet - which was ideal for us. All the staff at Petousis are so friendly and welcoming (and clearly love children as so many learnt our daughter’s name and would always say good morning to her) but we need to give a huge shout out to Vagelis - the pool lifeguard. He never stopped! He wasn’t like lifeguards I’ve seen before, he would go out of his way to form a relationship with the children and adults around the pool and make them feel special. My daughter, Lily, loved him and really appreciated the toys he brought over/games he played with her. The sunbeds are plentiful and no matter what time of day you’re able to get one. We came back after a day at the pool at 2:30 and easily got sunbeds. We chose bed and breakfast and breakfast was always lovely with a vast amount of options - something for everyone. Eating out - there’s lots of options nearby. Our favourites were Waves (a beach bar/restaurant about 12 mins walk away) and Maxim (BEAUTIFUL food, about 5 mins away). Hotel was clean and modern. Rooms a lovely size and comfortable. If you’re looking to party late into the night at the hotel, probably not the place for you, but if you’re looking to relax and enjoy a peaceful time with some light entertainment provided, this definitely is the place for you. There’s also places like Heaven beach bar which is only a 5 minute walk down at the beach that serves delightful cocktails with a wonderful view. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

This is the most amazing Hotel I’ve been, like everything was so nice. The receptionnists are very welcoming. And special mention to MARIA!! Thank you so so much for the Body scrub and Mask that were perfect for my skin!! I’ll come back😊

Positives, lovely run hotel with 2 pools, small gym and spa. We had half board, breakfast was excellent, but the evening meal choice was not so good. Paid extra for evening meals in their Taverna Restaurant (which is better) Location great and other restaurants and supermarkets nearby.

Our room was a junior suite, bathroom set up very strange, no privacy for showering and using the sink. Shower very slippery.

Just had an excellent massage from John. Now completely destressed. Facilities were very good and created a relaxing atmosphere. Maria was very helpful and friendly and explained everything very well. Overall a great expetience.

Excellent hotel with wonderful friendly and helpful staff, very clean standards, lovely pool area and modern bedrooms with comfy beds and excellent showers. Few things to note; - The standard rooms overlook the road not the pool or sea - The buffet food isn't the best in the evening. We paid for half board but mostly ate next door (also called Petousis) in the sister restaurant which was great and inexpensive. - Car4Crete rental down the road was excellent! Far cheaper than anywhere else and wonderful family service from Costas and his wife. Highly recommend. - Useful fridge in room for stocking up on water etc. - Gym is very basic but still great to have - Nice little hot tub for when the pool is a bit chilly! There is a bus to Heraklion etc but we found a car beneficial and roads are decent. Much nicer beaches within 25 mins.

Really enjoyed our stay here for a week The bed was comfortable The room was clean The pool side bar serves really nice food and the pool lifeguard was always on the go helping anyone and was very nice The bar at night was very nice and we enjoyed the Greek music night especially The boy playing zorba the Greek was unbelievable and a highlight of the week for me The bar closed at 11pm though which put a early stop to the night for me I’d happily book again no issues

Το parking είναι αρκετά σκοτεινό και χρειάζεται προσοχή. Ο χώρος μοιάζει με στενή λωρίδα και από τη μία πλευρά υπάρχει υψομετρική διαφορά, καθώς από κάτω καταλήγει σε χωράφι. Επειδή ο φωτισμός δεν βοηθάει πολύ, αν κάποιος δεν το προσέξει, υπάρχει κίνδυνος να μην αντιληφθεί έγκαιρα το σημείο.

Had a fantastic experience staying on this property. Very chilled out vibe with quite good food. There’s a restaurant nearby which serves the best lamb. We served by Sarah and she’s great!

L'hôtel est proche de l'aéroport et très accessible, parking gratuit juste à côté. Très bien desservi par les bus pour aller à Héraklion pour pas cher. La chambre était parfaite et le personnel très agréable. Le petit déjeuner était incroyable par sa diversité. La taverne juste à côté est bien pratique.

We had a fabulous experience at the hotel. Staff were all great, friendly, professional. Especially the lifeguard who was there everyday and nothing was too much trouble. Also need to give special mention to Elina, Kiki and the lads behind the bar of an evening who all made us feel welcome and last but not least Anna on reception who was always happy to help with any information required. An extra special mention to Maria in the spa who gave us a fantastic body massage at the start of our holiday and was around every day . Lots of love the Liverpool ladies xxxx

We had a wonderful stay at Petousis Hotel & Suites. The hotel is very comfortable, peaceful and beautifully maintained. The pool area is lovely and relaxing, and the location is nice and quiet while still being convenient for exploring the area. Our family room was spacious, clean and fully equipped with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were cleaned very well, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel felt modern and welcoming. The food was also very good, with plenty of choice and fresh ingredients. What really made our stay extra special was the kindness of the staff. Everyone at the reception and throughout the hotel was incredibly friendly, helpful and always willing to assist us. They also helped us with renting a car and gave us great recommendations for beautiful towns and places to visit around Crete. We also really enjoyed the spa. Maria gave us two amazing massages during our stay, and our daughters loved the chocolate mask treatment. Maria is truly excellent at what she does — very professional, relaxing massages and such a warm person. We even wanted to come back again just for another massage because she has such great hands! Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend this hotel to families and couples looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay in Crete. We would happily come back again!

This hotel is amazing!! Location is perfect - 5mins walk to hop on hop off bus into town, 5mins to beach, 1mins bars/restaurants/shops. Got a massage by Maria she was amazing and so friendly too. All the staff at this hotel are so welcoming and friendly.

Zeer mooie hotel, nette kamers, mooi zwembad. Vlakbij het strand. Prima ontbijt. Fijn als je dichtbij luchthaven een mooi hotel zoekt.

In de omgeving is niet veel te doen op loopafstand.

Maria’s massage is very very nice. We tried the 10mins massage and then we had to book a full deep tissue massage. As promised, it was strong and deep relaxing but also therapeutic for me and my friend( we are dancers)! Thank you Maria! Highly recommend!

Chambres mal isolées et pas super propres. Odeur d'égout dans les toilettes. Emplacement de l'hôtel qui ne vend pas du rêve...

Chambres humides et très mal insonorisés J'ai eu une chambre familiale avec petit balcon qui donnait sur un mur ,pas de luminosité,chambre sombre ,humide et froide. Le repas du soir dans le restaurant est correct mais manque de variétés,très peu de choix pour ceux qui ne mangent pas de viande De plus les boissons sont payantes J'ai mangé le même dessert tous les soirs (aucun choix) Il vaut mieux prendre juste le petit déjeuner et manger à l'extérieur ou on trouve de bons restaurants avec beaucoup de choix et un bon rapport qualité/prix Globalement déçue tout de même pour cet hôtel. Ce n'est pas un hôtel pour rester pendant toutes les vacances, juste une étape car proche de l'aéroport (15 minutes en voiture)

Η θέα που είχε από τα μπαλκόνια 2 παρακαλώ… Δύο πισίνες τεράστιες,πεντακάθαρα,γυμναστήριο και πισίνα με υδρομασάζ, ήταν υπέροχα,το δωμάτιο που διάλεξα ήταν πολύ όμορφο,μεγάλο και άνετο!! Μας περίμενε ένα μπουκάλι κρασί και φρούτα…(μέσα στη τιμή) η πετσέτες ήταν πεντακάθαρες και μύριζαν υπέροχα. Το πρωινό ήταν εξαιρετικό,είχε τα πάντα, μόνο ο καφές από το μηχάνημα ήταν χάλια… Όλοι όσοι δούλευαν στο ξενοδοχείο,ήταν με το χαμόγελο να σε εξυπηρετήσουν. Το φαγητό στο εστιατόριο ήταν θεσπέσιο για όσους τρώνε κρεας. Εννοείτε είχε και Παρκιγκ

Δεν μου άρεσε το σαμπουάν που είχε στο μπάνιο και δεν είχε μπουκαλάκια να διαλέξεις σαμπουάν,αφρόλουτρο και κρέμα σώματος. Ένα συγκεκριμένο και δεν μύριζε καθόλου. Το κρεβάτι το διπλό όταν γύριζες πλευρό έτριζε.

ROOMS (4/5) Nice enough hotel, rooms are very modern with nice lighting through out. It has very nice decor and I may have to pinch their colour schemes and design for home! The toilet and shower are separate rooms, but the bathroom sink was located in the main entrance just as you come in, which I wasn’t a fan of. We stayed in the apartment blocks along the road side, which unfortunately didn’t offer much privacy when sat in the hot tub, as people look in when walking by or getting in and out of cars. Restaurant entrance - I found it a bit strange using their restaurant as a main entrance when we 1st arrived. It felt like we were being starred at by everyone as we made our way through with our suitcases. I later found that there was an entrance to the reception via the back of the building, so maybe that should be communicated to people to avoid confusion and prevent negative first impressions. LOCATION (1/5) VERY noisy - didn’t get a good sleep at all. The hotel is near a main road so the sound of vehicles is constant. It sounded like the F1 with boy racers flying past the hotel in their suited up bangers. Rowdy drunks chanting on all through the morning and directly outside our patio. The hot tub is also on constantly so the sound of that trying to heat itself and water filtering didn’t help, even with ear plugs. NEARBY ACTIVITIES (1/5) Few shops near by for topping up on essentials was handy. Nothing much in the area otherwise if you ask me. A hire car would be advised if you’re thinking of coming to this location. We had a coach trip day out to other parts of Crete which highlighted our holiday. BREAKFAST (5/5) Served between 0730 - 1000 and it was very nice. The staff were also very friendly and efficient. MASSAGE / GYM I get a lot of muscle tightness from my occupation, so booked in an hour with Maria for some deep tissue work. I can honestly say this was the best massage I’ve ever had. Maria worked in areas where she could feel I was tight and tailored the massage to suit my needs. You must book in with her if you come here!

A fabulous spa experience with Maria, very easy, friendly & professional... I could have stayed there all day, 10/10 relaxation. Highly recommended.

Πολύ κακή εμπειρία. Επέλεξα το ξενοδοχείο κυρίως για το τζακούζι, αλλά δεν λειτουργούσε και μας είπαν ότι φταίει ο καιρός, κάτι που προφανώς δεν ισχύει διότι έχω πάει σε πολλά ξενοδοχεία της περιοχής με χειρότερο καιρό και δεν είχα ποτέ προβλημα ...μας έδωσαν διαφορετικό δωμάτιο από ότι είχα επιλέξει καμία σχέση με τις φωτογραφίες. Ο χώρος ήταν πολύ βρώμικος και καθόλου προσεγμένος. Το κρεβάτι σκληρό και τα σεντόνια βρώμικα Το air condition δεν δούλευε καθόλου το βράδυ. Το αναφέραμε στον συντηρητή, μας είπε ότι θα έρθει, αλλά δεν εμφανίστηκε ποτέ. Για τα χρήματα που πληρώσαμε δεν άξιζε σε καμία περίπτωση και Ζητώ επιστροφή χρημάτων.

A truly wonderful hotel! I stayed there alone with my children and felt comfortable and safe from the very beginning. The staff were very professional and friendly throughout our stay. Our familyroom was not huge, but it was very comfortable, had two TV’s with a great shower, clean bathroom facilities, and it was cleaned every day. I would especially like to mention Maria, who gave me an excellent massage that was more therapeutic in style, exactly as I had requested, and it really helped relieve my tension and muscle stiffness. We had a fantastic stay and would happily come back again!

Location is not the best. On a fairly busy main road through Amoudara. Plus side is there is a good bus service to/from the airport and Heraklion, onward services from Heraklion to many other parts of Crete are good and very easy to use. Heaven beach bar and restaurant, which is a 3 minute walk away, is very good and staff are great. Petousis Hotel is nice but definitely not 5 star as some reviews say. The staff are very polite and helpful. Only one pool was open whilst we were there and sadly the jacuzzi by the pool was under repairs which was a shame as it would have been nice to warm up after a swim in the icy pool 🥶 there is a shower by the toilets though and that was always very hot. We booked a room with a jacuzzi on our terrace, it was lovely and hot when we arrived and the following morning but then was cold, we were told it had been fixed and it ‘takes time to heat up’. After two days without it we asked to change rooms which was agreed. Overall a pleasant stay and good if you just want to relax and chill for a few days or a week.
