location
Air conditioner was sooooo loud that we couldn’t sleep! This is our 3 rd stay at this location and this was not one of comfort
The comfortable beds
The elevators were slow
Excellent customer service all the way.
Everything was just perfect.
Location and friendliness of the staff.
Carpet was dirty and old in the room.
The location was great and the breakfast was good! The staff were very friendly and helpful! Our room view on the 6th floor was gorgeous and the pool and hot tub was nice! Very relaxing 😌
Wish the air conditioner would have put out better.
I love the location you can walk out the gate on the side of the pool exit gate and you’re literally in the back yard of the beach. I highly recommend this hotel I will be back.
THE POOL WAS EXCELLANT!! STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND THE VIEW OF THE OCEAN WAS AWESOME
I didn't like that they did not provide any shuttle service
Proximity to the beach and fun restaurants, loved our beachfront balcony!
Renovations
I loved everything about the hotel.
The parking
This hotel has a big pool squatter problem. Tons of people come and use the pool that aren’t guests. You can walk into the pool from the lobby without a key. As a result tons of people come in and use the pool and are not guests. You need a key card to gain access from the beach but everyone just lets people in. Every 3-4 hours they would check bracelets. People would scramble to leave and then just come straight back after the person left. They also don’t change the colors of the bracelets. They can easily be bought online. We saw a family of 6 take up 7 chairs with 2 blue bracelets that clearly weren’t the same as ours. This is not acceptable because they take up tons of chairs at the pool that are meant for guests. And there aren’t many chairs. The pool is insanely packed because you have tons of pool squatters that get to use the facility. There is zero security. On Saturday night a group just occupied the entire lobby with their own food and booze for about 6 hours. They had so much of their own stuff the used a hotel dolly to store it all. We won’t be back.

James is the bomb.com. I attended a wedding there he went above and beyond. His patience and willingness to help is over the top.
Every outlet conveniently located by the beds/bedside tables did not work. I am 5’10, and literally had to crouch to use the shower, which is barely worth it seeing as the outdoor showers have better water pressure. The soundproofing is atrocious, probably partly due to the 1 inch gap between the door and its frame. The staff were all very nice and attentive, but if you go into this expecting a nice hotel, you will be sorely disappointed: mediocre on its best day.
Outstanding property! This hotelnis a hidden jewel. The staff is friendly and hard working.
Pool
Dogs in the breakfast area
the week i went they were under construction so i would be wet from the beach and had to use the elevator to go back to my room but they were under construction (everytime i’ve been here they have been under construction) they had wet cement on the floor where the elevator is when u step out. also the pool is fine but there is an age restriction for the pool and i’m sixteen and there’s no way there’s a worker telling me i can’t go to the pool but i can drive on the highway. also i didn’t have a good experience because it’s very hard to sleep at night it’s very very noisy. whether it’s outside or the neighbors in other hotel rooms or people screaming down the hallway at like 11 pm it was not a good experience. the service is just ehhh because they don’t really talk to you and the workers don’t seem happy. i guess the only good thing about this hotel is the breakfast food because they have a waffle machine and the location of how close it is to the beach. however there are so many hotels close to the beach.
It stands on the beach, which is very comfortable and is the hotel’s top priority.
They were doing remodeling in the lobby, so it was very dusty and messy. But on top of that the room looked very outdated, filthy carpet, bouncy bed. Front desk stuff was ok, not too welcoming I would say.
Staff helpful, location, parking, pet friendly, breakfast was fresh and keep stocked.
Flies in the breakfast area, sausage patties need to be replaced with something better. Bathroom shampoo, conditioner, shower gel needs filled before room is given out. Outlets and USB charge ports did not work well. Would have received a 10 except for the above.

It was great
Location
Renovation of entire front area was chaotic
The view, the hot tub, the breakfast, the tiki bar, the access to the beach. Good coffee.
That we couldn't stay longer.
The friendly staff, the clean pool and rooms. The breakfast was very good with a variety of items to choose from.
We didn't like having to ask for clean towels every other day.
Everything
No complaints
Our daughter's family stayed here last week. Last day, they checked out and went to get into their rental to go to the airport but the car was gone. They told the hotel and they replied it was towed. When they checked in they were told the car didn't need a parking tag displayed because they only needed their room key which allowed them to enter the gated parking lot. Then, they told them it was towed to an impound lot because they didn't have a parking tag displayed. Many cars had been towed. My daughter had to Uber to the airport. Avis had the car back that same evening and said her account was closed but she may have fees later on because of the tow. The hotel told her she would be responsible for the towing, impound lot, and fill up of gas for the car. She locked her credit card. The hotel General manager will not call her back after several messages that she left for him. She is now going to call corporate to get some answers. Her friend was also there who had her own Florida registered vehicle. She was told the same thing about not needing a parking tag in her car. Her car was not towed. Sounds like something very wrong is going on.
Second time staying here. I absolutely love the pool, bar, restaurant, decor in the rooms, and breakfast. Also, the staff is so wonderful.
The room I was in this time was a little less clean than I like. The carpet was very dirty. Also, it would have been nice to know about the renovations in the lobby ahead of time.
Rooms were updated, pool was very nice and had drinks and food right there, made that perfect after traveling.
Access to the beach
The property is under renovations and it wasn’t disclosed. The fire alarms kept going off, the pool side was nasty. The ac barely worked in the rooms.
The property was beautiful!
Noise late at night from guest near our room
Right on the beach and amazing staff
It was under renovation and looked messy. Lots of flies in breakfast area
Breakfast was good, did not go in the pool or excerise room
Great location. Good breakfast. Clean, comfortable room. Friendly and helpful staff.
The beach was nice
1. Renovations that I was unaware of 2. Was supposed to have oceanfront and instead had “partial ocean view” that was mostly of dumpsters and other hotels. I called and asked. They told me it was “not our problem” and to “call booking.com to deal with it.” 3. My child got stuck in the elevator with two staff members. I expressed my concern. I was told “well we called the fire department.” 4. Our refrigerator didn’t work. I called/messaged 3 times about it. The maintenance man argued with me about it, said he’d bring another one, then never showed back up with one. 5. Beds were super hard
Breakfast is always good! I set my alarm to get up so I won’t miss it!
The construction
We had 3rd level balcony. View was great. Short walk to the beach. Enjoyed the onsite tiki bar restaurant (the virgin drinks were terrible, not everyone drinks alcohol). Being able to rent lounge chairs was a great plus (wished I'd known that ahead of time). The room was stylish. James at check in was AWESOME.
Breakfast was horrible (especially the sausage). Bar tenders do not know how to make virgin drinks (I had to throw mine away it was that bad, not everyone drinks alcohol). Our food from the Tide Grill was cold when we received it (appetizer and meal came out at the same time). The conditioner fell off the shower wall in the shower hitting my foot. You could hear the family next door all night long. Couldn't enjoy the patio due to the smell of pot (smoke free property) and kid friendly. Upon check out at 8:00 am there was not a single cart for luggage to be found. I waited 10 mins. One patron asked if I was in time out. I wanted to put that rude check in lady in time out. BTW: They only have 6 of those carts in the whole hotel. So when people are expected to check out they are hoarding them the night before for the next day. The manager wasn't concerned because I handed him my key card when I left, and she told him why I was a little miffed. $800 for 2 nights and you have 6 carts and rude to people. Ummmm no. I've stayed at 5 star resorts for not much more than that, and had them handle my luggage and valet. But this won't be my only review. Up next google.
We always enjoy our stay, very nice hotel.
The construction was a surprise and a bit inconvenient. But appreciate the upgrade. We'll be back!
Upon arrival, we discovered that the hotel is currently undergoing massive construction and renovations. There was only one way in and out of the building through the front door, and the entire property was an active construction zone with exposed drywall throughout the entire lobby and main floor. On multiple occasions, we had to navigate around active workers who had to stop what they were doing just to let us pass. Most concerningly, construction was taking place directly adjacent to the breakfast area. While standing by the elevators, I watched guests having to walk directly around the workers. Workers were literally painting the wall directly above the doorway, over my family's, myself, and other guests' heads, as we carried their food out of the breakfast area. In the eating area, there was nothing to prevent paint fumes, drywall dust, or debris from getting into the food or on guests. There was absolutely no mention of these extensive renovations on the Hilton website when I booked. Had this information been disclosed, we would have chosen to stay elsewhere. Because we arrived late in the day and booked last minute, we felt we had no choice but to stay.
The pool and the location
The breakfast, no bacon…why
Comfort pool tiki and beach access
Construction was never advised and smoke filled room Saturday night of marginal was awful
The location was perfect
The carpet in the room was disgusting. It was dirty and stained really bad.

I like the fact that it was right on the beach. And you were able to order food right downstairs. That there was a little tiki bar etc... and most of the most, the people were pretty polite.
I did not like the fact that I had my kids with me. And it smelled like marijuana during my whole entire stay, I did not like the fact that there was very dirty carpets in the room. There was sand all over the sheet. All over the floors even in the shower, very disappointed in the cleanliness, plus I was not told that I was going to be charged $40 and some change on my credit card that they kept on file for parking Right on the side of their building, I feel like I should be reimbursed for that.
Refrigerator didn't get cold at all.
location excellent, nice balcony room, good , staff was very helpful.
no coffee table or floor lamp in room, bathroom faucet was clogged with lime so it sprayed all over the counter.
Our view and beds were extra comfortable.
Room was very small and staff seemed rushed and not the friendliest.
I love the oceanfront room with balcony!
It was undergoing some construction.
Location
It's a little dated but there was construction happening in the hotel so maybe it's receiving a facelift.
The balcony with the beach view was breathtaking
The view, the pool and waterfall, the poolside food, and waterfront. The beds are soft for the most part. We like the varied lighting options and multiple outlets.
Found a used cigar in the sofa bed when we undid the folding section to set up our son for bedtime. We threw it away and wiped the area down. The toilet backed up but we were able to tell maintenance as soon as it happened.
Amazing pool and views
Construction
The big Pool is wonderful.
Missed breakfast by 1 min. Sad about that.
Beautiful location. Everything you need is there, fabulous beach front, awesome swimming pool and hot tub. Fun bar on location with great food.
There was nothing not to like. We are going back.
This was a perfect location for us to visit family. The room was clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly and professional. The breakfast was very good. We had chance to speak to general manager which was delightful.
My wife and I had a great experience staying here. While it is a bit dated, they are making some nice updates; but most importantly, our room was clean. The location is fantastic. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony of our oceanfront room. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. The Tiki Bar was perfectly located on the beach side. We will definitely stay here again, in the future.
The pool was amazing! Short walk to the beach!
Absolutely NOTHING to do in this town. Nothing in Jacksonville Beach.... 0/10 recommend location
tiki bar, pool, staff, food
elevators
I work with a large college sports team of 48 people! The hotel was perfect! They were very accommodating and friendly! The rooms were clean and had modern amenities! The staff was professional and were very helpful! I would highly recommend this hotel especially for sports teams! A very reasonable and affordable rate for this area of Jacksonville Beach!
Beachfront for the price of staying on I95, WOW. The AC had to be cranked to 68 all the time so the heat would not come on was a drawback. The onsite restaurant at the tiki hut was great. Do not miss the grouper sandwich! The pool was nice and beach nicer.
Oceanview
That I was told an early check in would be no problem (10a - 11a) so I drove through the night and then called 2 hr prior to arriving like I was advised. I then wasn’t able to access the property until after 2pm. Shower wasn’t clean. There was someone hair on the shower wall
Awesome pool. Nice employees and great location.
The AC thermostat in the room is weird, has a mind of its own can’t really regulate the temp in the room. And the zero smoking even vapes on the balcony sucks. I’d pay small smoking fee to be allowed to smoke on balcony occasionally. The breakfast could be better but it’s free.
Spent Easter weekend here. Overall, it was a fine stay, although definitely crowded as other reviews say. Chairs were claimed very quickly by the pool even by 9am. Somehow we did manage one chair for my mom and I for our 2 beach/pool days. This area was overrun by kids. The beach was great, don't need water shoes unlike our beaches in NC which make your feet hurt from all the shells. Hardly any shells and the sand was super soft. The reason I'm writing is to make management and guests aware of Gina (dark skin, dark curly hair) at the bar. That's the name the front desk employee gave me. My mother and I were completely avoided by her 4 times as we waited to place our order. She never even spoke a word to us while she buzzed around at every other table except ours. I eventually had to go to the bar to order. A young male/female couple sat down and she brought them 2 rounds of drinks and their meal in 20 minutes time. After over 45 minutes, we still didn't receive our food. I asked Maya, bar manager, for an update and he said our food had been sitting at the bar for some time. I was never told it wouldn't be brought to us. We ate the cold meal and he placed another order for us at no charge. He did his best to make the situation correct, offering another round of drinks at no charge and apologized saying he had new employees and it was the start of the year. Gina's behavior turned us off so badly we didn't return for lunch the next day. I thought our interactions with her were done until I checked out. She was hanging at the front desk wearing sunglasses, smacking her gum and shuffling room keys in her hand when another guest so kindly made her aware that the hot tub water was very hot. Gina just replied "Ok". That was it, nothing else to say to the concerned guest and she didn't let management know immediately after. And then, another guest asks her where she could get a towel and Gina just pointed to the towels which are BEHIND the desk. She didn't offer to get them for the guest or say anything else, only pointed. This employee needs training or firing, at least 3 negative interactions in a 3-day span that I alone witnessed. I have never seen someone so unfit for customer service. Casey, at check-in was very kind and so were the housekeeping ladies. I'd probably opt for something a bit nicer for my next trip to the area. The carpet needs deep cleaning or replacement, the room stayed humid our entire visit despite lowering the temperature and there was no fan in the bathroom. Refrigerator cooled excellently.
Excellent place!
We had a bad experience with their front desk at check-in. The desk manager Catlyn was extremely rude and kept interrupting the fellow who was helping us. They bumped us to a 2 queen bed room on the 6th floor from a king bed on the 1st floor. We were there 1 night so they figured we were expendable. Despite our complaint to Hilton, we received a pittance in "Honors" points back. The hotel was very clean throughout with the exception of the pool and hot tub which needed cleaning. The hotel was overcrowded and charges for parking to pay for their very expensive automatic gates. The idea is to keep out beach goers. They don't monitor the cars that get in there though so it appears that a few get through anyway. Be advised that you aren't a guest, you are an invoice to them. Nice hotel, nice breakfast in the mornings, nice location, poor customer service. Perhaps that manager should sell shoes for a living instead.
I love the pool
The parking fees
The Ocean and its closeness to the hotel. The fact that could take our dogs to the hotel and the beach.
Rooms were nothing special and overpriced. Had to pay for parking nearly $20 per night.
King suite was very spacious. Hotel is very equipped with everything needed for a beach stay. Great breakfast, very good service. Beautiful heated pool.
The carpet in our room was in dire need of deep cleaning. Lots of soiled spots. Too much water softener, tub eas extremely slippoy.
Waterfront view of the ocean, very relaxing!
Restaurant food was fair.
Our room and view was terrific. It was the perfect getaway
Breakfast was terrible
Our stay was amazing thanks hugely to “Sarah” at the front desk. She is truly an asset to your hotel making my wife and I very comfortable & welcome on two recent stays. Each and every time, I (we) walked by and asked Sarah anything, she was always friendly and not a fake smile - very genuine. For example, I asked Sarah about renting bikes and a beach chairs. She gave me information for both right away. Stayed now a couple of visits house hunting in the NE FL coast. In contrast, do not let other employees, in contrast, ruin your trip. Thanks again Sarah! Your hotel management should be very happy to have you as an employee. I hope at your next review that they increase your salary significantly, keep you, and most appreciated for your efforts by your manager. Honorable mention - Lakesha was terrific as well; thank you both! Thank You Hampton-Jacksonville!!! Lawrence Emnett Elbert, Colo. Special Operations Iraq Veteran ’82-’04
Amenities & room balcony were great and right on the beach!
