The food was amazing, breakfast and dinner was fantastic everyday .
The main pool was not as clean as it could be, upstairs in the sky and sea pool it was overcrowded.
Standard hotelu i pełen profesjonalizm ze strony obsług. , Bliskość do morza, słychać szum fal w pokoju👌🏻
Kellemes szalloda. Tokeletes az elhelyezkedese. Kenyelmes a szoba. A kilatas csodalatos
Service was superb
Just returned from our second trip to this hotel in 2 years. Stayed on the 9th floor with a seaview, had the best chilled week away and would definitely return. We stayed B&B as we enjoy eating out locally, Tapas etc. Staff at the hotel very friendly and always happy to help. No sunbed issues at all, even at 9.30/10am you will still get one.
Rooftop zwembad
Niks
This hotel is the best I’ve stayed in, from the cleaners bar staff restaurant staff reception staff maintenance staff they all gave 100% , the breakfast was very good lots of choice, the hotel is immaculately clean , we had a great time , the staff should be proud of what they deliver .
Amazing breakfast amazing comfortable bed big rooms super team all of them are the best
Nothing
Location is ok. Atmosphere without a personality. Rooms clean. Value for money - questionable Staff needs training to welcome guests
Stayed on the fourth floor with a sea view, hotel situated in an area which was slightly quieter that what was on offer a 20 min walk away. Hotel breakfast. dinner and lunch was good. Food prepared fresh each day. We had a half board stay and they offered us the option of lunch or evening meal. It was good to have this flexibility. As it was an adult trip we used the roof top pool daily, we were there from when it opened to secure sun loungers. If you arrived later in the day these couldn’t be guaranteed. Not really enough beds on offer for the amount of people. Definitely not enough canopies for shade on the lower platforms. There were brollies dotted around mind you. There is an option to hire more luxurious private beds, didn’t really see these occupied, only the odd time. These were priced at eur 30 and eur 50. We hired Sun loungers on the beach which were affiliated to the hotel at at reasonable cost. If you’d like a cabana you would be well advised to prebook. The staff that work at this hotel are very hard working and polite. If you don’t get a bed on the rooftop area there is an elevated platform above the ground floor pool. Most children and families choose to sit nearer the water so this is a good option if you’d prefer a quieter sunbathe. The sun does cover the pool and loungers (including the platform) in the afternoon as it comes round, this suited us as we enjoy the shade. Found the drinks to be good value. The rooftop bar has a DJ in the evening, we enjoyed this, it was a nice view and used it most nights to close our evening off.
Our family staid at this hotel for five nights from July 21st, which is when we had to fly to Spain to attend matters relating to my aunts passing who lived in the region. Whilst it was predominantly a sad occasion we were hoping to have some fun as a family too, which my aunt who loved Spain would have wanted. Upon arrival at the hotel we did not have a good experience with the check in process. Expect lengthy queues to check in and out, which appeared to be the norm throughout the time we were there at the reception desk. Despite receiving confirmation in writing prior to arrival my room would have separate twin beds they were made as a double bed when we got into the room, which delayed us further from being able to get in to the room until after 16:30, which was a pain as we had landed at Malaga airport at 08:30am, and was hoping to get in to the room by the designated 3pm. I perceive the reception team to be a tad hit and miss with the level of service they provide. Some team members were responsive and helpful, and others not so good. The receptionist who we complained to about the room not having been made up into a twin bed room did not cone across as being very helpful. We there reiterated we needed the beds changed to the correct setting. She finally called the housekeeping team to instruct them to re-do the bed situation. However, she did not take in to consideration I could understand what she was saying in Spanish. I there took offence to her saying down the phone 'they're English' which we perceived to imply that was why we were complaining because of our nationality. The operative did not handle the situation well from a customer service perspective. That said, the manager called us later to apologise, which we appreciated. A few other gripes: 1: Not enough sun beds around the entire three pool areas, including the roof top pools. They could easily put in more beds and umbrellas around the main pool area from a logistical perspective. We struggled to get a bed throughout the stay. We had to pay for beds on the beach instead. However, I prefer the pool area, as did some other members of our party. 2. You have to pay €20 to go into the spa pool area on the lower ground floor. 3. The gym could do with a few more apparatus. 4. You can wait a long while for the lifts. Hence we did our best to use the stairs. 5. There is no pool drinks service, which I think is disappointing for a 4 star hotel in Spain in this day and age. You have to go up to the bars to get your drinks. There is no waiter service around the main large pool area. You have to get up off the sun lounger and walk into the main hotel bar to get a drink, which is a pain when wearing a swimsuit as we had to cover up every time we wanted to purchase a drink. 6. The fridges in the rooms are very small. Would I stay here again - Yes, and here's why: 1: The hotel is in a great location overlooking the clean and safe beach on the main Torremolinos promenade. It's a delightful 15/20 minute walk along to the marina and bars and restaurants of Benalmádena. Just turn right as you come out of the hotel. It's a delightful walk along the sea front which is wheelchair friendly. There are also plenty of lovely restaurants, bars, and shops located along the cobbled streets behind the hotel. Where I bought some very reasonably priced leather bags for gifts. There is a taxi rank located all of 50 yards from the hotel if you turn left as you come out of the hotel. 2. The hotel is a short 15 minute taxi ride from the airport, and you get no noise from the flights either. 3. I highly recommend the hotels 'The Beach' bar for lunch, which is located in front of the hotel on the beach. The staff are friendly, attentive, and fun. The menu has a good variety of fresh well presented foods at a reasonable price point. The music has an Ibiza chill out vibe too which adds to the relaxed holiday vibe. 4. The two rooftop pool bars are ideal for drinks to start the evening off, and have beautiful views as the sun goes down. You can sunbath on these terraces too. 5. The hotel luggage porters are friendly and very helpful. 6. The housekeeping team are highly effective. The toilets located throughout the hotel were maintained to a consistent high standard throughout our stay day and night. The housekeeping operatives are also friendly and quick to respond if you ask them a question. I would like to thank them for keeping our 6 rooms so clean and tidy throughout the stay. Especially so the three rooms where we had teenagers staying in them! 7. The evening entertainment is located in the main large bar area and usually starts after 9pm. The weekly schedule is varied and advertised on the notice board that is located by the main bar. We watched a few shows and thoroughly enjoyed them, especially the flamenco show. 8. We booked the hotel on a bed and breakfast basis. The breakfast session was usually very busy after 8:30am, though we never had any issues securing a table quickly. The service finishes at 11am, which is ideal for the late risers. I went down on my own for breakfast around 9am a couple of mornings, and each time the waiting team were always quick to serve me decent fresh coffee, and they made me feel very welcome. The variety of food and drink items on offer at the breakfast buffet was exceptional. You can get freshly made omelettes, a full hot English, cereals, pastries, yoghurts, toast, and plenty of fresh fruit. The maitre de seats you upon arrival. The waiting team are very smartly dressed, professional in their approach, helpful, and friendly. As a result I always enjoyed going to breakfast. A couple of tips: 1. When you come out of the hotel turn left. About 70 yards from the hotel is a kiosk that sells soft drinks, snacks, and ice creams, which we made good use of because they sold the items at a good price point and was open until the early hours. The staff were friendly too. 2. There are some small supermarkets located within shops that are a 200 yard + walk from the hotel. Again turn left when you come out of the hotel. 3. The hotel is wheelchair friendly. 4. We hired a car at the airport and parked it for a reasonable daily cost in the hotels underground car park, which you need to organise with the reception team. 5. We booked our stay at the hotel with British Airways, and found it to offer a good price point for the facilities and location it offered. 6. Allow plenty of time to check in at Malaga airport on the return. BA use Veuling Airways for some of their flights. Their service from the Veuling staff is poor going by our experience on this trip. We had to queue for 2 hours in very warm temperatures to check in, and only just caught our flight. It was a dreadful experience which from reading other reviews on the service at Malaga airport seems to be more the norm than the exception. So leave plenty of time for queuing to check in. Taking all things in to consideration I would stay in this hotel again. It offers value and is in a great location.
Ubicacion y cama
Limpeza do quarto Cozinha preço qualidade fraco
Blisko basen i morze
I would like to submit a formal complaint regarding my stay at the hotel. Unfortunately, several issues significantly affected my experience, and I feel very disappointed and, frankly, misled by the service I received. First of all, there was a serious problem with the revolving doors at the hotel entrance/exit. They repeatedly got stuck, making it very difficult to pass through, especially when carrying luggage. There were regular doors next to them, but they were constantly locked and, as I was told, were only available for hotel staff. I find this unacceptable. Guests should have easy and safe access to a functioning exit, particularly when leaving the hotel with suitcases. The situation on my last day was even more disappointing. Since I had an early flight, I informed the receptionist in advance that I would not be able to have the breakfast I had already paid for and asked whether the hotel could prepare a packed breakfast for me. The receptionist told me that breakfast for guests leaving early was available from 5:40 a.m. Unfortunately, when I arrived at that time, there was practically nothing prepared. There was only some bread and a few cold cuts, which appeared to be leftovers from the previous evening's dinner. This is certainly not what I would consider a properly prepared breakfast, especially since I had informed the reception in advance about my early departure. I paid for a service that I was unable to use because of my early flight, and despite notifying the hotel in advance and asking for a packed breakfast, the hotel failed to provide a reasonable alternative. I consider this treatment of a guest unacceptable and far below the standard I expected when booking this hotel through Booking.com. I therefore ask Booking.com to investigate this matter and consider providing appropriate compensation for the breakfast I paid for but could not use, as well as for the inconvenience and poor service I experienced during my stay.
Regular visitors to this hotel. We always enjoy the adult only level lounge and rooftop space. So great to just walk in for a refreshment and snack. We were sad to see all of the experienced level hosts ( Eva, Patricia and Jasmin) are no longer there. They always recognised us and made our trip even better. Such a shame. We were pleased to see Irene is still there and just as friendly and helpful. The buffet restaurant has plenty of options.
El trato del personal
I like the facilities. The rooftop is very nice. The pool was relaxing. The room is spacious. And the men here are very hot.
Es fehlte nicht an Qualität
All inklusive aber Strand liege, Getränke und Tücher waren zusätzlich
Everything
Nothing
Great location, rich breakfast and very comfortable rooms. The staff was also very helpful and nice
Housekeeping schedule was a bit weird, it reached our room really early
We stayed in a level room and the experience was excellent. Day long access to the lounge and pool area and snacks and refreshments was great. The room was lovely; the hotel overall has a modern feel with instant beach access. We felt it was worth it and will be back.
We were not informed that we needed to check in again at the level, and so were confused for a few hours. Reception could provide better information during the initial check in.
Location, spacious rooms, quality and variety in the dining room, clean and tidy hotel.
The hotel charges for water at dinner, there is a charge for exchanging pool towels, payment for roof access

My adult daughter and I came here for 6 nights having previously stayed at the Meliá palma bay and loved it. We went for a junior suite on The Level and it was fabulous and just as we’d hoped. It’s not a cheap option however for us with travelling with some anxiety issues it just makes everything easier. The communication before we arrived was great and the level receptionists were really helpful. Our junior suite had a massive balcony with a fabulous sea/beach view. The road outside can be noisy though at times but that didn’t bother us. The hotel is in a great location right near the old town and local restaurants and bars. Also lots of watersports options near the hotel. I noticed that it also seems to cater really well for those with disabilities.. pool lift to go into the water and ramps etc. There is a lounge and pool purely for The Level residents and we loved this…loads of sun loungers, towels replaced for 1 euro at any time. Constant supply of drinks including wine, beer, aperol etc whenever you wanted them plus soft drinks and tea/coffee. Lots of snacks available too. You also have your breakfast in The Level lounge which was amazing and there literally was everything you could possibly have wanted. Cooked breakfast, cereals, baked breakfast goods, yoghurts, cereals, ham, cheeses and smoked salmon, oils, Jams, honey, waffles and lots of different juices. You could also order pancakes if you wanted them which would be freshly made for you. There was also a gluten free corner with breads, biscuits and cakes. After breakfast the cakes and nibbles came out for lunchtime. Fab place
We recently stayed at the Meliá Hotel for a week and had a fantastic holiday. From the moment we arrived, Victoria on reception made us feel welcome. She checked us in with a warm smile and was professional, friendly, and efficient – a great first impression. During our stay, my daughter unfortunately needed to see a doctor, and Beatrix went above and beyond to help arrange this for us. She was incredibly compassionate, helpful, and reassuring during what was a stressful time, and we are very grateful for her kindness. There has been some discussion about the 9am queue for sunbeds, but we honestly didn't see it as an issue. We planned to spend the whole day by the pool, so queuing for a few minutes to secure a sunbed seemed perfectly reasonable. Breakfast was excellent every morning. It was very well organised, with plenty of staff on hand, all smiling, attentive, and happy to help. The service really stood out. The Meliá Beach Club was another highlight of our stay, serving great cocktails in a lovely atmosphere, with afternoon music entertainment that made it the perfect place to relax. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The friendly staff and excellent service made all the difference, and we wouldn't hesitate to return. We highly recommend the Meliá Hotel and look forward to visiting again!
Went for my 60th Birthday with my sister and two nieces. Paid for two deluxe room and these were the furthest away from the sea right next to the lifts. Food was basic. Pool sunbeds very few. Have to pay daily for hotel sunbeds on the beach. Lifts a nightmare, reception a nightmare . Paid £1000 each for 4 nights and felt completely ripped off. Would not recommend . Never a 4* struggling for a 3.
Although the hotel is good don’t know how it got a 4* plus rating. On checking in went through the hallway to the lifts and plaster was falling off the ceiling and maintenance were poking holes in it due to obviously a leak. The lifts are small and do get busy , luckily only on the second floor so used the stairs most of the time. The room was fine with an excellent shower. Problem was the air conditioning, we put it on cold when going out (18 degrees) but on return hours later it was still 26 degrees in our room. Only stayed B&B but the food quality and variety were poor. Also if you didn’t queue for a sunbed at 9am you didn’t get one . Plenty of beds with towels on and no people. Sorry but won’t be returning. Stayed at other hotels in the area what are way better. Also ceiling fan in room didn’t work.
We are currently staying at Melia Costa Del Sol on a Jet2 Holiday, room 2709. We booked a double sea view room with the Level upgrade. All in all not a cheap 9 night holiday. Firstly, please don’t bother with the Level upgrade as it’s not worth the extra costs. We have a room with two twin beds pushed together, there is virtually no descent wardrobe space to put our clothes, we are living mostly out of our suitcases, particularly annoying as Jet2 allow 22 kilos of luggage per person which we were both well below and still not enough space to put our clothes away. The air conditioning has a problem which is not pleasant. We have a partial sea view but have a better view of the steps and the lift to the Old Town, the Melia Convention Centre roof and as mentioned a limited sea view. We understand that these Level rooms have been refurbished recently but struggling to understand why a window in the shower cubicle is a good idea as when we use the bathroom at night the light wakes the other one up. The lifts to the rooms are tiny, 4 people at best and at busy times you spend a lot of time waiting for a lift. TBH we’ve stayed a cheaper hotels in the area and they are much better.
17 glorious days spent here. Staff from arrival to departure so friendly and helpful . Absolutely spotless throughout . Food , well didn’t get to try it all( ran out of time) but what we did have was superb and everything was laid out perfectly in the various displays.Well done to all. Room was refurbished & cleaned every day . Superb room staff. Sunbeds? As in all hotels not enough , could do with some more parasols though. Quite entertaining to watch the 9am rush to pop your towels on the various front row sunbeds though . Plenty of room over the road next to sea. 😳Overall a superb experience and hopefully back next year to repeat. Well done to all front of house as well as those hidden behind the scenes who work so hard to make our experience enjoyable.
Came here with my boyfriend for our anniversary and very happy we chose this hotel! Very modern and clean with really friendly staff! Our room was a superior deluxe, I had emailed ahead to ask for a high up room with a good view of the sea and it didn’t disappoint! Our room was on the 9th floor with a perfect view. Room was very spacious and bed and pillows were extremely comfy! Breakfast was plentiful and really tasty with fresh fruit, pancakes, eggs. The only downside to this hotel was the pool area, both on the ground and roof pools I felt were way too small for the size of the hotel and was always crowded. We ended up at the beach every day but overall would recommend this hotel and would come back next year! Perfect location right on the beach with lots of restaurants, cafes around!
Right from the very start every member of staff we met were friendly and welcoming, my only concern here was that we told by recepton to wait for our room in reception, after a while we asked if it was ready and it was. Could the member of staff not simply let us know? The breakfast was superb and again all staff were freindly. Our room was slightly underwhelming with two single beds pushed together, these moved a lot overnight allowing pllows to fall to the ground. Close to beach, good service at the bar.
Perfect location, plenty of bars, restaurants and shops around. Atmosphere was relaxing, great value for money. Rooms were very clean and to a high standard with replenishments each day. Staff were lovely and welcoming. Celebrated my birthday here too which they left a lovely bottle in the room as a surprise.
sitting with my family in the beach restaurant, and i was asked to put a top on the cover up which absolutely fine until i realised no one else was asked to cover up with a top or a something, at this point i was annoyed when the waiter who asked me to put this top on then was serving other girls and men with no tops and not asking them to cover up. overall my experience at this hotel has been amazing and still have a few days left. if i should have to cover up every one else should, it’s shouldn’t be based on how big or small you top half is.
Lovely and attentive staff in the Level. The Level concierges are super friendly, helpful, and professional. We loved the exclusivity of the private rooftop pool and lounge for The Level guests with a nice selection of all-day snacks and drinks available. The evening Happy Hour at the Level offered even more choice of beverages and canapés from 7-9 PM. Though we were there over a long weekend in July, the Level pool never got too crowded and loungers were always available. We reserved one of the cabanas on our last day and it was very nice and comfortable facing the ocean. While the hotel itself is rated 4 stars, the Level experience is closer to 5 stars where it’s a full-service and stress-free experience. On departure day, we had a late flight and were able to keep the room u til 2PM. We were then able to use the Level facilities until we departed the hotel at 6PM. There was even an option to use a courtesy room for a half hour period to shower and change before leaving. Overall a luxurious experience which exceeded expectations.
Location was great.
Food was average at best.
As a loyal Meliá Rewards Platinum member for over 10 years, my recent one-week stay at Meliá Costa del Sol left me with a highly conflicted experience. While some aspects of the hospitality are wonderful, the premium services and loyalty benefits are failing to meet the expected standards. Here is the professional breakdown of my stay: 👏 Outstanding in the downstairs Restaurant Team: A major and well-deserved praise goes to the permanent team of waiters and kitchen staff in the ground floor restaurant. Their highly professional, fluent, warm, and heartfelt hospitality creates a truly positive and memorable atmosphere for guests. 🍫 Cheap & Outdated LEVEL -Lounge Concept: The afternoon and evening food selection in the LEVEL Rooftop Lounge is completely unacceptable for the premium price paid. Year after year, it consists only of cheap, sugary convenience items (mini-pastries, cream puffs, cake slices, and candies/marshmallows in large jars). For savory options, the hotel only offers basic crisps, olives in brine, and pickles. ❌ Shocking Contrast to Other Meliá City Hotels: Compared to another 4-star city property, Meliá Palma Marina in Mallorca, the contrast is entirely to Costa del Sol’s disadvantage. At Palma Marina, the LEVEL Lounge features a creative, healthy, and daily changing selection of savory mini-bites (multi-grain breads with fresh spreads, mini-salads, stuffed mini-buns, and pizza squares) beautifully presented by the chef. Costa del Sol's cheap sugar-and-crisps line does not offer proper value for money.🤖 Systemic Denial of Platinum Late Check-out: I have visited this hotel three times recently (twice during the off-season and once in high season). Every single time, I requested the official Platinum 14:00 late check-out upon arrival. Every single time, I was told to ask again on the morning of departure, only for three different receptionists to give the exact same robotic refusal: the room is unavailable due to an arriving guest. Offering a 30-minute shower room instead—even during the off-season when the hotel is half-empty—proves that management has an internal guideline to systematically bypass official Melia Rewards Platinum members loyalty promises. Summary: While the ground floor restaurant staff shines, the hotel management is cutting corners on the premium LEVEL concept and failing to honor Melia Rewards Platinum loyal customer guarantees. If you are paying extra for the LEVEL experience or expecting Melia Rewards Platinum recognition, you will not get a fair return on your money here.
Staff were not very friendly bar one or two people in the bar & restaurant. Requested double bed, got 2 single beds pushed together. Water in room was not free & i was scolded for filling my water bottle in the restaurant. No toiletries in the bathroom, you could request them but not sure if they were free, bought my own in the local shop. There are a lot of other hotels on the strip that are not so expensive and would appreciate your business.
I have given an average rating for this Melia as it is a Hotel of two halves....the staff at The Level were exceptional , friendly and extremely helpful, rooms immaculate. BUT The main Hotel left alot to be desired...there were two doorman at the door on our arrival completely uniterested in helping us with our luggage. My son found three cock roaches in his room. The staff in the main reception need to learn "customer service" from their colleagues at The Level
DESAYUNO
UN NIÑO QUE ME TOCO AL LADO DE LA HABITACION
This hotel has a fabulous location and we have been many times, one of our favourites. There have unfortunately been some changes, especially at the Level. The excellent team, are no longer there, and it is very noticeable. Desk often not manned, drinks, ice and glasses allowed to run out, and not replaced. Maria, however is excellent. The new pool 'boys' again, not anything like as helpful, stand and watch as people struggle with the very heavy parasols. That said, hopefully this is a teething problem, and things will improve, but did make for a disappointing stay, as we had such an excellent time last October, and last June, so noticed the reduction. Cost cutting I guess. Everything else was perfect, and still love the Level. Maybe we were spoilt before
The recently refurbished rooms (we stayed in Deluxe) are modern and comfortable. New bathroom layouts are fine but could have done with towel rail in shower, wardrobes are spacious but safe restricts depth for longer garments, there are two deep drawers and the sliding doors have been replaced by a curtain. Rooms are cleaned daily and if you want towels replaced leave on shower floor, hotel throughout is very clean. We always stay B&B as there is a vast selection of restaurants to chose from in resort, the hotel breakfast has a wide variety of fruit, cereals and cooked dishes including fresh omelettes. If you stay on the rooftop terrace there is a food and drink service, we ate lunch couple of times and the portions are very generous, enough for two people to share. Only drawback we noticed was the lack of sunbeds on the rooftop compared to previous years, opens at 10am and by 10.30 all sunbeds are taken, and some are in need of repair/replacement. overall great hotel, great location and really enjoyed our stay.
We had a fantastic stay and couldn't be happier with the service we received. The hotel was beautiful, spotlessly clean, and the facilities were excellent. Every member of staff was friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. A special thank you to Marta from The Level, Her professionalism, warmth, and genuine care for guests were exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble, making all our check out arrangements prior to checkout. Thanks to Marta's outstanding service, our experience felt extra special. We would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning. Thank you to the whole team, and especially to Marta, for making our stay so memorable!
De kamer was heerlijk. Goede bedden en kussens. Goede airco en plafondventilator. Verduisterende gordijnen. Prima zwembad.
We stayed here for one week, in June. We had a premium room with sea view, 5th floor, level building, room 2526. We stayed on a half board basis. When we arrived, room wasn’t ready and had to wait till gone 3 to get our room. Room was clean, but had single beds, even though we booked has Mr and Mrs with the same name, apparently doesn’t mean you want to share the same bed. They did quickly sort this problem with a bed topper, and it was perfect after that. Perfect location and right next to the beach and shops. Staff polite and helpful. Pool area, ok, but you do need to get there by 9, to get a lounger. Food was terrible, always lukewarm and limited choice. We eat lunch here, then eat out every night. Food outside was lovely and lots of different varieties to choose from. The room we had, offered turn down service, well according to Jet2 website and booking, but we never got this service for the whole 7 nights we were there. Nice place, but the food lets the hotel down.
The Melia Costa del Sol is a beautiful hotel. The recent refurbishment has been a great success. My wife and I upgraded and stayed in The Level (Room 2921). The room was well laid out and had all the usual amenities. The Level Lounge are on the 10th floor was smart and comfortable. However I can't see us returning because the whole (not inexpensive) Level experience was spoiled by the hotel continuing to allow smoking around the pool and sundeck (and we soon found out) on room balconies too. If you Google "The best smoke-free hotels in Torremolinos", the Melia comes out as #1. In the foyer there is a huge illuminated sign that declared that "Smoking is prohibited in this establishment". I would interpret that to mean that smoking is prohibited in ever part of the establishment, but, in reality, what they mean is it is prohibited in all areas, except where it is not prohibited. I raised the issue with one of the girls behind the desk in the Level Lounge and got a "sorry about that but there's nothing we can do" response. I raised the matter in a long letter to the hotel management and got a fairly speedy, but equally dismissive, response. Senor Perez committed to nothing more than discussing it with colleagues, and stated that they were operating within national and regional legislation. My suggestion of a designated, but segregated, smoking area well away from the pool and the sundeck wasn't even commented on. Beautiful hotel, pleasant staff and if you can justify the additional cost upgrade to The Level but only if you don't mind breathing in other people's smoke as soon as you leave the Level lounge and venture on to the sundeck and pool area.
We came to Level at the top of the Meliá Costa del Sol and honestly couldn’t fault it. From the moment we arrived, everything was exceptional. What we loved most is that you don’t have to be a hotel guest to enjoy it visitors are welcome too, which makes it a hidden gem if you’re in Torremolinos and looking for somewhere special to spend the day or evening. The service was outstanding. Every waiter was attentive, friendly and professional, making us feel genuinely welcome throughout our visit. The team were an absolute 10/10 and nothing was too much trouble. The atmosphere, views and overall experience were incredible. Everything felt relaxed, premium and well looked after. Whether you’re staying at the hotel or just visiting, we would highly recommend coming here. A perfect experience from start to finish we’ll definitely be back.
Our room was clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed our view of the pool and sea, and the breakfast buffet is always fabulous, even for vegetarians. The location is close to our favorite walks and restaurants. The staff is friendly and helpful. The large outdoor pool is big enough for real swimming and for kids to play in. I think this was the sixth time we've stayed at the Melia Costa Del Sol, and we hope to return next year. We also appreciate that this is not a noisy party destination, but a great destination for mature adults and families.
The only suggestion I would make is to allow people to pick up fresh pool towels at 9:00 a.m. (the same time that the pool opens) rather than making them wait until 10 a.m.
Just spent 7 days here and will definitely not be returning. There are many good things about the hotel, lovely room with Rituals shower gel etc, beds so comfortable, ice station next to lift. The location is brilliant and staff good. The pool area is far too small for such a big hotel, very cramped, we were aware though when booking. However we were half board and found the food terrible. Breakfast was standard okay nothing to complain about, except the poached eggs..they are cooked in far too much vinegar. Evening meal was the worst I’ve ever had in a hotel. The grilled meats were well and truly overcooked and the side dishes were so bland. Fish was better thankfully. There was a big selection of meats and cheeses..but it was 3 types of cheese spread over a very wide area..and they all tasted exactly the same as each other. Very very small dessert selection, the usual dry cake and bowls of mousse. We were able to swap to lunchtime and thankfully the salad bar was ok, we then ate out on a nighttime. Think if you’re on a B&B basis and like the beach this hotel is for you, we will not be returning
Excellent location beautiful views wonderful staff.
Loved everything
Overall the LEVEL was a pleasing experience. Calm and comfortable environment. The food provided was tasty. Staff always very attentive. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. The hotel is kept spotless, credit to the staff. Quality TV in room.
Entertainment on some nights was a bit disappointing. Towels in bedroom could have been a bit softer to the touch.
Wonderful stay at Melia Costa Del Sol. Arrived around midnight and the check in was smooth, no issues whatsoever. The room did have single beds but this was soon rectified to a double the following morning. Hubby even had a bottle of cava gifted as it was his birthday which was a lovely gesture. Everything is clean, staff are really happy and helpful - nothing too much trouble. We stayed block 2 6th floor which was nice, overlooking the pool and sea front. The restaurant is busy but managed well and the food is fresh with lots of choice (we only ate breakfast in the hotel) Drinks and bar food are reasonable and little bowls of nuts and sweets are also a nice gesture. I really could go on and on about the hotel and the great location, it’s that good! We will be booking again next June! Thanks
Personal profesional y muy amable. Desayuno variado.
Pools
Roof area could be better and drinks expensive
After reading a few negative reviews, I was somewhat apprecentive before arrival but I need not have worried as this is an excellent hotel and one of the best we have stayed in over the years. From start to finish we felt so comfortable, with friendly staff, super room, good views and lots of food choice in the restaurant where we never had a problem finding a table. But the best was the excellent entertainment each night that really made our holiday. No need to look for bars, the lounge was so comfortable with first class acts on every night, especially the soul group and the rock brothers., that together with the beach club at 5pm where there was yet more entertainment while having a teatime drink. All in all, we have had a fantastic holiday and I will be looking for an Melia Hotel now in other resorts and countries. Well done Melia we loved every minute of it.
Location and lovely hotel
Smell of cigarette smoke coming through the air vents. Toilet paper in short supply Only 1 hook in bathroom, nowhere to hand towels or bath robes etc
Leuke kamer met groot schaduwrijk terras
Het buffet s’avonds, afschuwelijk, over cooked, canned veggies
We stayed here for 4 nights and had a brilliant time. The rooms were modern and clean and the pools were a nice area too. There was an incident at the pool while we were there which the staff responded to quickly which we were greatful of. The breakfast was also very nice. The hotel is also on the beach front in Torremolinos which in my opinion is a nicer area than the main town and makes walking to benalmadena a lot quicker and enjoyable.
Pluspunten . Keurig hotel met vriendelijk (schoonmaak-)personeel! . Goed georganiseerd ontbijtrestaurant! . Ideale ligging aan rustig strand bij Bajondillo. . Zwembaden beneden en op het dak aanwezig!
Minpunten Geen.
Myself my mum & sister visited the Melia for a week this May, 3 of us were sharing 1 room but on entering the room there were only 2 beds 2 sets of towels etc, a quick call to reception and this was quickly rectified, the room was small for 3 of us and couldn't use the balcony as the third bed was blocking the door but we managed the ladies did a great job of cleaning it each day. The melia is a lovely hotel everything is clean and well presented the pool areas are great and we always got a lounger, we used the bottom pool and I've read that people are put off because it doesn't get the sun all day, but it was there until late each day, we moved along abit around 3 if we were still there but usually we went up to the rooftop bar for a drink and spent an hr or 2 up there.. it was beautiful relaxing with great drinks on offer and fantastic views! The staff in the hotel all work hard in all areas and are very attentive, it does get very busy especially in the dining area. My mum has mobility issues and we hired a wheelchair and it was easy to get about the hotel, the lifts are small so wheelchair and 1 person only I would say. A few niggles at breakfast, they need more hot water urns/machines for tea, there was always one not working or the water wasn't hot enough resulting in a big queue for a cuppa. Food at breakfast was plentiful and good selection we thought evening meal was alittle underwhelming, repetitive and at times abit like 'school dinners' and the cakes/pastries were better at breakfast that in the evening. We enjoyed our stay at the Melia the location is excellent the views outstanding, we walked the promenade each day where there are lovely places to have lunch a few drinks & relax.
Like other hotels in the area they need a no reserve sunbed policy. Stayed a total of 5 days and only once did we get a sunbed for a few hours and this was late afternoon. There were the odd sunbed on the upper deck available but had no umbrellas so it was a case of frying in the sun at 32c or not bothering We'd watch the mad rush from our room overlooking the pool at 9.00am only for half of them to throw their towels onto the beds and then disappear for hours on end and eventually return at 3pm in the afternoon. I watched it and a scene from Benny Hill sprang to mind. The melia hotel desperately needs to address this problem as I'm sure this will put people off booking at this hotel again We'd try the rooftop pool but there were not enough sunbeds for the number of guests as they only had 11 on counting around the top near the bali beds but none on the sides like they used to have and maybe the same number at the sides and this opens at 10.00 and again people queued up at the door. However, there are 8 huge Bali beds for 30 euros per day overlooking the sea with amazing views. The hotel itself is clean and elegant with amazing staff to match Beds so comfortable with clean modern rooms and quiet at night
Wspaniała lokalizacja przy plaży. Widok na morze, dobre, urozmaicone śniadania.
