The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel was very well kept and clean. The hotel had many cool features, like the sauna and the pool. The restaurant had very delicious food, and the complimentary bread was very tasty. I also thought that the $45 meal menu was excellent value.

The only complaint I would have is that the shower pressure wasn't very strong, but its not a big deal.

Thank you to the staff, you were amazing during the check-in late at night. The off-street parking was secure. The bed was super comfy. Best part was the water pressure!

Perfect place as so nice and central

this was easily worthy of 5 stars but one of the indian staff wasnt very helpful when asking for his help at a private function we hired this place for a 90th he was quiet rude and always responded in a non polite manner. he might learn to like his job in the near future and realize some basic customer service skills .. who knows.

Super close to town.Clean rooms and a comfy bed to spend my night in.The kitchenette was handy and if i needed anything to snack, there was also a mini bar and snacks. The receptionist was bvery kind and helpful.He went the extra mile to change my room because my plans had changed an no longer required twin beds. There was also 24 hour food available which is very helpful if you need.

I love staying at scenic. Mostly for the sauna and spa and cute tidy rooms with amazing shower pressure

Unfortunately the male at the front desk made me feel like I was nuisance and he did not have the time to be hospitable towards me from the moment I walked into the door to check in. I felt as though he was trying to make everything as difficult as possible. I was not expecting anything special as I'm laid back and cruisey by nature but he suceded

Great central location as we overnight for our early morning new office blessing event. We also booked the Charter room for our Board meeting and exceeded our expectation. Well-appointed bedroom, very clean, nice shower room, comfortable bed and the loved the chairs. The hotel got everything, restaurant, bar, swimming pool and spa/sauna.

IT WAS GREAT FOR THE 1 NIGHT WE NEEDED.

I did find the bed a little soft and low for me .

Location

The on site restaurant was awful. Soup was cold asked for it up to be heated came back watered down. Prawn cocktail had NO flavour lettuce had more taste . Pillows were like bags of sand.

Rooms were updated and clean and tidy.

I have visited the Scenic Hotel multiple times, always receiving a warm welcome and great service. On this visit, I want to commend Flo, a clever, charming, and customer-focused young woman. She speaks several languages and made my dinner at the hotel restaurant very welcoming. I hope she gets the recognition she deserves.

Friendly staff, good location.

We booked through booking.com. On arrival we were asked to pay. We had paid, on-line on booking. The staff were adamant we had not paid even though we agreed on the booking number and we presented recipts from the booking agency and our bank and were booked in. The manager was called and we had to wait for him to find payment? This caused unnecessary worry prior to being allowed to stay. The first room for my elderly parents had very bad odors coming from the drain in the ensuite. It took an hour for maint to investigate as the maintenence team were in a "meeting" at 6pm and then to report all rooms smelled the same. Not true. After we ran boiling water down the drain the smell lessened. No shower for them as they were put off. The television did not work and the staff did not care at all. We were given another room key late that night but too late to move my 85 yo parents. My point is we booked in good faith and should be given the benefit of the doubt. Lying to customers will only damage your reputation.

It is oldish but comfortable. The room was spacious and easily accessed from the car park. There is a hose for washing your car - much appreciated when on a road trip.

Affordable but exceptional service

Duvet was a little thin so got a little bit chilly, a thicker duvet or electric blanket would be good

Great place to stay clean and good price

Location

The location is great. It is close to downtown and we were able to walk to shops and restaurants. For the price paid I expected a more upscale hotel. The front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Hotel is in a good central location in the town. A little away from the "main" streets so was still nice and quiet. Reasonable options available within a short walking distance away for food and drink. The hotel is not new, it has obviously been around for a long time but was in a reasonably good quality.

Parking can be a bit of a challenge with a limited number of spaces. That said the hotel does have some overflow options.

Excellent location

Their seem to be a major lack of continuity and confusion within the staff. Staff were trying to cover too many positions and did not inform each other where things were up to for paying.

Central location directly across from Seymour Square and a quick walk into shops & cafes. Rooms were well appointed and a good size plus nice to see good quality hand,body lotion etc instead of a cheap alternative

Amazing Shower and comfortable beds

Spacious and clean. Comfortable bed with nice shower. Good food at the restaurant. Nice staff.

Very attentive people at the desk who listened and helped when we needed an auto electrician first thing Monday morning. Everything clean and comfortable, great value for money and we had a delicious restaurant meal served in good time in spite of a tour group also dining.

Location close to town. Car parking space. Staff and friendly and very helpful. We had an upper level room and it was large and very light.

Comfortable bed

This was an excellent place to stay. Clean room, good bathroom and good amenities in both the room and generally within the hotel. The swimming pool was gorgeous and the sauna-spa bath were lovely. It was a little bit intricate booking a session though, however this is understandable given the compact area. One does have full privacy though - this makes up for the intricacy. Overflow parking is available free of charge. Thank you for a relaxed experience.

Vey nice and clean with lots of amenities. We tried the private spa and sauna. Room was really spacious.

The room was spotless and comfortable Staff were friendly and helpful they made us feel like we were special The food was delicious We would highly recommend staying here.

The hotel room and twin beds were comfortable, the shower was also good. we stayed for 3 nights and my wife enjoyed using the outdoor pool but commented that the water was very cold. Breakfast was decent and Blenheim had plenty of places to eat and drink within walking distance. Additionally the nearby walk by the river was a pleasant way to stretch the legs.

Our room was on the first floor and there was a linen room between us and the main lift. However we could hear the lift mechanism through the walls into our room every time it was used although this was generally between 6.30 am and 11 pm when guests and staff were using it, although we slept pretty well between these times.

Hotel booked by our travel agent. Lovely hotel where we stayed for one night on our New Zealand tour. Room was very comfortable and clean. Unfortunately we were unable to dine here as there was a function on. Decent bar area. Good self serve laundry facilities.

Ideal position in the centre of town easy access to the shops etc. Very quiet, mainly appears to be business visitors during our brief stay. The rooms were clean, very comfortable and spacious. The pool was welcome after a long drive.

Motel rooms are always in a clean & tidy delivery for guests. The staff a very accommodating to help with whatever issue you may have.

Well Iocated and everything you need for a short stay. Rooms are clean but a little dated. Disappointed to be given an accessible room without being told. At 6.2ft I find many have lower sinks, toilets and showers which is inconvenient at best. Our room the safe didn’t work and the fridge didn’t get to temperature. Nothing was done despite mentioning to reception. Service was generally good. Great to have a heated pool with towels readily available.
