The Window Situation, It was that small you could have missed it. to be honest i hadnt noticed it was there until it was pointed out and as a result the room felt like an enclosed box.

La experiencia durante el check-in no fue la mejor. La persona que me atendió no tuvo la consideración de ayudarme a encontrar el baño, a pesar de que le expliqué que necesitaba usarlo con mucha urgencia. Por una situación médica, no puedo aguantar mucho tiempo sin ir al baño, y me hizo subir al segundo piso en tres ocasiones mientras yo ya estaba desesperada por encontrar un baño. Fue una situación muy incómoda y angustiante para mí. 🥹 Entiendo que pueden estar ocupados o tener muchos huéspedes, pero considero que en situaciones así deberían mostrar un poco más de empatía y consideración. Una pequeña ayuda habría hecho una gran diferencia en mi experiencia.

Wir (2 Erwachsene + 1 Kind) hatten ein Dreibett Zimmer. Leider was es gefühlt im hinteren Teil des Hotels mit wenig Licht

Very friendly staff and excellent location

We really enjoyed our stay, the hotel is super close to everything. You have a lot of shops, supermarkets, restaurants and cafes nearby, it’s also very well connected if you need to take the public transport. The beach is around 15 mins by feet. Staff were also friendly, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Few minor things: the room was a bit tight, there was no space to put your luggage; Also, there are no hangers where you can dry your swimwear or beach towels; Our room window was facing a wall and we didn’t have a lot of daylight in the room;

The shower area was not great. I think the door was broken on the shower and the water was going everywhere.

The room was very spacious, with good wardrobe space and a very comfortable bed. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and attentive. We experienced a minor issue in the bathroom, which was resolved very quickly. The hotel's location is outstanding and makes it an excellent choice for exploring the area.

One of the breakfast staff members was somewhat rude when informing us that there were only 20 minutes remaining before breakfast service ended. We stayed in Room 201, which is adapted for guests with reduced mobility. We understand that a fixed shower enclosure is not suitable in this type of room; however, when the guests do not require accessibility features, it would be helpful to provide a shower curtain, as water from the shower ended up soaking almost the entire bathroom.

Die Lage des Hotels war super, man konnte alles gut zu Fuß erreichen. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig, es war für jeden was dabei. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Super Lage, sauber und sehr bequem.

Die 2 Lifte sind zu klein und die Putzfrauen benutzen die Lifte auch. Manchmal wartet man ewig. Als negativ fand ich auch, dass unser Zimmer kein Balkon hatte oder eine Möglichkeit im Bad, wo man die Strandtücher und Badehose trocknen könnte.

I really enjoyed everything about my stay — the location, the food, the cleanliness, and the overall experience. I would especially like to praise Sofia, who works at the reception desk. She was warm, polite, professional, and incredibly helpful. She truly made a positive impression and deserves special recognition.

É di posizione centrale ma non ha il minimo spazio per sostare a scaricare i bagagli e parcheggio più vicino é a 150 mt. Ti offrono una bottiglietta d’acqua all’arrivo.

Camere piccole ma ben arredate. Ascensori piccoli. Abbiamo prenotato due camere ed abbiamo avuto problemi in entrambe con il badge d’ingresso. Al check in abbiamo impiegato 30 minuti con 4 andate in reception perché il badge non si codificava. Camera pulita ma asciugamani macchiati. Il soffione grande della doccia non funzionava. Finestra davvero minuscola. Personale tutto sommato cortese, ma se vedi che il cliente scende perché il badge non funziona alla seconda, lo accompagni!

Tutto: posizione eccellente, colazione ricchissima, caffè e bevande calde gratis a tutte le ore, camera grande e ben insonorizzata.

Poco curato il riordino della stanza, senza cambio lenzuole durante il soggiorno. Frigo bar vuoto al nostro arrivo soltanto l'ultimo giorno meglio fornito. Solo un posto a sedere nella abitazione.

Clean and good facilities

Breakfast had traces of pork in everything so me and my sister couldn’t eat breakfast even though we booked with breakfast beforehand. We got a partial refund for the breakfast which was nice of the staff to help us with but just be mindful if you are vegetarian/halal

Quite good place in the center of the city, is a business hotel good and economical for a daily trip. Just in the middle of old town, Shopping St., Mercado and Marina. All in 2 to 5 minutes walk. Room has plenty of space, was very clean and bed was comfortable. I chose Occidental for their good housekeeping standards.

The show wasn’t ergonomically designed it was narrow and wasn’t blocking the water go outside of the shower. It was hard to keep water inside while taking a shower. The elevator was small to person with two luggages was hard to get in.

The hotel is in a great location, right in the town centre and close walk to the beach. All staff throughout the hotel were very friendly and always helpful. Superbly clean.

Great location, Great breakfast and Great staff. Especially lady running the breakfast- she was absolutely lovely. Reception Staff lovely- Housekeeping great. Extra towels.Hairdryer powerful.

Internal rooms with no windows - but to be expected from a centrally located hotel. AC could have been stronger as no ventilation in room. Shower not well designed- although water pressure and temperature perfect!

The hotel was very comfortable and in a great central location, making it easy to get into the city and access the coast. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. Despite being so central, the hotel was surprisingly quiet, which made for a really relaxing stay.

The only downside was that early check-in wasn’t available, which would have been helpful after travelling. Otherwise, everything was great.

Het was schoon, alles werd elke dag verschoond. De locatie was ook top. Het personeel was vriendelijk.

Een minpunt is dat ze geen mogelijkheid hebben tot drogen van onder andere handdoek na het zwemmen. Dit is iets waar je rekening mee moet houden.

Es war wirklich so so toll in der Unterkunft! Frühstück war lecker und vielfältig - Zimmer immer sauber gemacht & das Personal super freundlich! Die Lage war auch super (sind 10min zum Strand gegangen)

Excelente escolha para quem valoriza limpeza, conforto e boa localização. Encontramos tudo muito bem cuidado e exatamente como gostaríamos para uma viagem em família. A localização tornou nossos deslocamentos muito fáceis e o ambiente do hotel foi ótimo para descansar depois dos passeios. Toda a família adorou a experiência e certamente ficaríamos novamente.

All'arrivo in stazione c'è un biscotto colorato di benvenuto. Sono attenzioni che fanno sentire il cliente da subito accolto e importante. Hotel curato sempre pulito. Personale attento e sorridente. Colazione ottima. Ti senti subito a tuo agio. Posizione strategica in pieno centro e ben collegata ai trasporti.

I was disappointed with the room size, since it wasn't 21sqm as stated. Price was already too high for weekend stay, so I didn't take breakfast option. Something was off with TV or remote since I couldn't turn volume down.

A/c is really strong. Big bed + spacious room. Strong water pressure.

The window faced a narrow light well, so there were very few natural light. Inside the hotel is slightly humid but understandable with the hot weather.

Кімната майже без вікна (воно таке маленьке і виходить на стіну, що можна вважати, що його немає) - на фото готелю показані великі вікна та світла кімната, тому це було неприємним здивуванням. У самому номері майже немає світла, а так як і через вікно не надходило денне світло, було враження, що ти трохи «в підвалі». Готелю потрібно генеральне прибирання- шматки пилу просто звисають зі стелі у ванній кімнаті. Враховуючи літо, спеку та 4 зірки у готелі - було б доречним давати пляшку води не один раз на все перебування, а щодня.

Wielki plus hotelu to ekspres do kawy przy recepcji, z którego można korzystać przez 24/7. Łóżka duże i wygodne. Cicha klimatyzacja w pokoju. Codziennie czyste ręczniki.

Miałam zarezerwowane 3 identyczne pokoje i w każdym był inny standard, nie chodzi mi o wielkość, czy rozmiar okna, a o to że w jednym był ekspres (+kapsułki, śmietanka), czajnik, filiżanki, szlafroki, klapki, w drugim tylko czajnik i papierowe kubeczki, a w trzecim tylko czajnik.

The location was excellent.

Friendly and welcoming staff, especially night staff. Comfy beds. Location was perfect and in walking distance to the beach and restaurants/cafes. Breakfast was also ideal.

The room cleaning could improve as we weren't topped up with toilet paper and had to ask reception after the room was cleaned. There were also cups and rubbish that could have been taken away and the surfaces could have been wiped down.

The hotel was clean and the breakfast had a good variety of different food. It’s located in the center and only about 10’min walk from the beach. There are plenty of bars and restaurants around.

Can’t think of anything. Maybe that there wasn’t any space to put the wet swimsuit. But since it isn’t a typical beach hotel that’s something you have to expect and accept.

If you want a room with a view then this hotel isn’t for you. If you want a hotel with a prime location, comfortable bed, outstanding staff and a breakfast full of variety then it’s perfect. The staff are so friendly, special welcome to Laura on reception and the girl who greeted us most mornings at breakfast, sadly I didn’t get her name. The location is a 5 min walk to the promenade and also to the old town…it’s ideal plus 2 mins to the Tram network and only a 15 min walk from the train station.

What a great hotel, it was so well placed for our needs. It was very clean and tidy and the reception area is quite small but a little cosy and friendly. Everyone was friendly and reception staff spoke English way, way better than my meagre knowledge of Spanish I’m afraid to say. Our room on the 5th floor was just as clean and tidy and there were little things to ensure you had a good stay such as toothbrushes, shower caps, shave kit etc as well as dressing gown and slippers. The bed was absolutely huge and so comfortable. We faced the street but you could hardly hear any noise when windows were shut and the curtains were blackout for a great nights sleep. We never heard any of the other guests in adjoining rooms either. We didn’t have breakfast. There are coffee facilities in the room, it’s a shame these can’t be topped up by cleaners, you have to go to the desk. The location - approximately 40m from the tram, bus stops nearby, several decently stocked small supermarkets, and a host of cafes and great restaurants, to suit all budgets within easy walking distance. Your about 150 metres to the marina and towards the beaches and the castle is virtually next door…as the crow flies. We loved the hotel and would love to go again.

This hotel has truly become my little paradise. I’ve visited three times in the past ten months, and each stay has reminded me why I keep coming back. The customer service is outstanding, consistently thoughtful in all the small ways that make a stay feel personal. The rooms are immaculate, offering comfort and cleanliness that never falter. Its central location is another major highlight: set within the heart of the city, with just a five‑minute walk to the beach, it couldn’t be more convenient. I usually stay on a room‑only basis, but I tried the breakfast once and was genuinely impressed. The selection was beautifully presented, indulgent, and far more boujee than I expected — a real treat to start the day. Several friends have stayed here following my recommendation, and they’ve all fallen in love with it just as much as I have. I truly cannot wait to return in October.

As all the other reviews say, this Hotel was in an excellent location, minutes from the Mercado airport bus stop (this was so easy to catch from the airport and just loops all day). Reception and check in was easy, there was free coffee and tea also at Reception. The rooms were of a good size, had wardrobes and shelves to store your luggage. The air conditioning worked well. We did have the view of the courtyard but it really didn’t matter as wasn’t in the room enough. Our beds were made and cleaned every day. The Castle, beach and restaurants etc were all in walking distance. I would come and again and recommend.

Lovely stay at Occidental Alicante - this was a very last minute break booked through jet 2. Very centrally located felt safe to wander around in the evening. Hotel immaculately clean, every single member of staff were very welcoming and ready to help. I requested early check in which they arranged and the room was as expected. Breakfast a good variety of food - replenished frequently. Only downside is we spent our final day on the beach but couldn’t keep our room on as they were fully booked. They don’t have changing facilities or a courtesy room just an adapted toilet. Maybe this is the norm for city centre hotels but it would put me off returning

The air conditioning was brilliant for a July visit. The room was comfortable and spacious. The location is excellent - right on the edge of the old town with bus and tram stops close by.

The Occidental is in a perfect location in the city centre and benefits from being not to big but very comfortable. Our bedroom was light and airy and extremely clean and the buffet breakfast is superb. The staffing has to be the best we have experienced for a very long time and this has made for a wonderful short break. Nothing was to much trouble and we were treated like old friends even though this was our first visit. We can't wait to return 🙌 😍

Occidental Alicante. The location of this hotel is great. So easy to get to on the airport bus or by taxi. It’s on a one way street and drivers seem to like their horn here. Check in was smooth and very grateful for a complimentary bottle of water. The lifts were small and hot but air con in the rest of the hotel is awesome. The room which was 401 was reasonable for a city break. We liked the fridge to store water in. The beds were big and roomy. The bathroom surprisingly had a bath which was unexpected but the toilet beating so close to the door was a pain. The air con was great. We had a view over to 3 walls with some fish. There was a full sized mirror, the safe was free and the wardrobe was enough for our time there. Although there was a hairdryer in the bathroom, it did not work. However there was one in the wardrobe. But we didn’t use it. House keeping did a great job every day and were very pleasant. We heard very little noise not even from rooms round about or up above. We took breakfast when booking. It’s not a massive buffet but has plenty choice, from fresh fruit and yoghurts, cold meats and cheese. Breads, hot buffet which changed daily. Cereals and pastries. Tea and coffee and cold juices too. I found it to be a great selection and filled us up well. Staff were friendly and helpful. Check out was very easy too and a short walk to the bus stop back to the airport. For a city break the hotel and location were perfect. It was definitely a good choice. The location is very walkable to the castles, to the old town and down to the marina and beach. Public transport and taxis are frequent and not far to the station to get a train to other places.

The room air con was excellent as it was a very hot night. Didn't have breakfast but coffee or teas was available free of charge at reception which was a nice touch. We were given a free cookie on arrival which went well with the coffee and on department we were presented with a small fragrance set. Its in a very central location with bars and restaurants near by.

The hotel itself has no bar so a late drink is not possible.

Great location to explore Alicante and the surrounding areas. A stones throw from all the top restaurants and bars and a 10 minute walk to the beach. Clean, tidy, quiet, comfortable stay. Would not hesitate to stay again. Very helpful staff.

Todo,la ubicación en principio a cuadras de la explanada España,del castillo de Santa Bárbara ,del puerto,la playa de la ciudad ,pleno centro,tenes absolutamente todo a mano,el hotel hermoso,vengo viajando desde principios de julio y de todos los hoteles,este tenía una cama de la cual no te querías levantar,muy cómoda,el baño un diez,el detalle de dejarte un regalito en la habitación ame….las chicas de la recepción super amables y atentas,todo de diez

Die Lage ist super zentral. Direkt gegenüber ist ein Supermarkt, welcher 24/7 offen hat. Die meisten Sightseeing Aktivitäten sind gut zu Fuß zu erreichen.. Trotz der Bars und Diskotheken in der Nähe, ist es angenehm ruhig in Zimmer. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war abwechslungsreich und lecker.
