Comfortable triple room in a small hotel in Sigiriya. The location is convenient, 2 mins' walk to restaurants and around 20 minutes' walk to the entrance to Lion Rock. The breakfast was great (including the packed breakfast for our day in Polonnaruwa), the pool was nice, and the staff were helpful at organising transport and advising us on the best times to visit sights.

Staff were fantastic throughout, tending to our every need and serving up lovely meals. The pool was luxurious and the surrounding gardens a slice of paradise... It wasn't uncommon to have monkeys and chameleons overhead, while the children played with the resident kitten and bunny. Otherwise it was wonderfully central to a variety of stalls and restaurants, and local village tours or Lion Rock within 5min by tuktuk. Even with the crazy storm we experienced while staying there, we couldn't be perturbed

The room was excellent, large at besideone of the two pools on site. Walking access to the strip of restaurants and cafes along the main road through Sigiriya. Walking distance to the Sigiriya Rock and Pidurangala Rock.

I have an Airalo esim and that had poor reception throught Sigiriya and the II Frangepani internet was patchy

We loved how warm and friendly all the staff were. The property is very accessible, surrounded by lots of beautiful wildlife, and the breakfast each morning was absolutely lovely.

The location is great. Can walk to some lovely restaurants for dinner, as well as espresso bar on corner. Two good restaurants next door. Only minutes to the rock. The boys that work there are exceptionally friendly and engaging. Genuine care and smiles. The rooms are large and shower has good pressure etc. fridge in room. Amazing breakfast and each day. Enough sun lounges by the pool which is constantly cleaned.

I was upstairs and loved the view and the privacy however things falling on the roof in the wind or monkeys perhaps jumping on roof woke me sharply. If a light sleeper perhaps pick downstairs or pack good earplugs. Wifi was spotty (to be expected I guess). The rooms do not have a TV. Again doesn’t worry me. I like music and reading and up early for activities. Just a note for some.

Highly recommend peaceful location, cleanliness, bathroom, breakfast, large bed and absolutely perfect relaxing pool. Staff were so kind and thoughtful and assisted us with any requests. We had a birthday and they very kindly supply a cake. They had a resident rabbit and kittens.

It a great stay

This hotel is in a quiet area within easy walking distance of cafes and shops. We walked to lions Rock. The grounds are gorgeous and the staff are delightful. There is a friendly bunny in the yard.

The room is painted all black so natural light is minimal. The artificial lighting is garish to the point that we preferred no lights at all. The air conditioner was loud so we found it hard to sleep. The hotel is overpriced for these reasons.

We absolutely loved this property! We had a room which shared a private pool with only 3 other rooms and usually we had it to ourselves. The room was very spa ious and the staff were great, serving a lovely breakfast. We appreciated walking to nearby restaurants for dinner, especially La Dolce Vita where we ate twice.

The room could have had more lounge furniture but we enjoyed using the sofa by the pool and the outdoor lounge chairs.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die Gastgeber und Mitarbeiter waren ausgesprochen gastfreundlich, herzlich und zuvorkommend. Die Zimmer sind groß und geräumig, und die gesamte Anlage ist sehr sauber und gepflegt. Man merkt, dass sich alle sehr bemühen, die Anlage in einem tollen Zustand zu halten. Das Frühstück war abwechslungsreich und sehr lecker, sodass für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei war.

Einziger kleiner Kritikpunkt: Die Haustür ließ sich leider nicht richtig schließen und die Zimmer waren teilweise etwas hellhörig.

Ein kleines Paradies! Tolle Unterkunft, sehr nettes Personal, leckeres Frühstück, sehr gepflegt und sauber. Wir (4 köpfige Familie) haben uns sehr sehr wohl gefühlt!

Très bonne surprise ! Le logement était même mieux que ce que nous imaginions, et parfaitement conforme à la description. L'hôtel est bien entretenu et très charmant. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Sehr sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter und ein leckeres und abwechslungsreiches Frühstück. Über die Unterkunft haben wir auch den Fahrer zur und von der Unterkunft weg bekommen. Auch dieser war super und hat auf uns auf der Strecke immer wieder gewartet oder von selbst kurz angehalten und was erklärt. Sehr sicherer Fahrer!

La habitación muy grande y cómoda, en un sitio estupendo. La piscina es como si estuviese en la jungla. El personal muy amable. Está en un sitio muy tranquilo y al lado hay algún restaurante y en seguida la carretera principal donde hay más comercio y restauración.

El wifi no iba nada bien

L’hôtel est décoré avec goût, la faune et flore sont incroyables (petits singes qui viennent nous dire bonjour le matin), la piscine est parfaite après une randonné. La localisation est bien, juste à côté d’un super resto Kenoli qui est devenu notre cantine. Il faut marcher une petite dizaine de minutes et on arrive sur la grande rue où il y a les restos / bars. Le personnel est hyper serviable, prêt à réserver et à organiser toutes nos activités. Un super rapport qualité / prix.

Het is een kleinschalige accommodatie die wordt gerund door een aantal relaxte, vriendelijke en ontzettend behulpzame jongens. De prijs kwaliteitsverhouding is erg goed. Het ligt op een kleine afstand van de restaurantjes in Sigirya waar je met een tuktuk zo bent. Het zwembad is heerlijk om even te relaxen. Ze hebben nu ook nieuwe kamers bijgebouwd die net een wat luxere uitstraling hebben.

Er lagen alleen lakens op het bed maar ik begreep dat de dunne dekbedden besteld zijn. Dat is wel prettiger slapen. Verder viel er niks tegen. Ik zou zo weer boeken als ik naar Sigiriya zou gaan.

Le manque d’intimité dans les chambres de la nouvelle aile (qui sont magnifiques). Elles sont vraiment face à face les unes des autres, et totalement vitrées. Cela mériterait de mettre un filtre sur les vitres ou de trouver une solution, car c’est dommage d’avoir toute la journée les rideaux fermés. Mais c’est un détail, vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés! L’accueil est incroyable.

Wij hadden een kamer aan het zwembad en dat was echt fantastisch , de kamer was super groot, schoon en zgan. Het personeel was super aardig en het ontbijt het lekkerste van onze 3 weken dus dat zegt wel wat.

Uitstekend gelegen verblijf op wandel / tuk tuk afstand van Lion Rock en restaurants / bars. We hadden 2 kamers , 1 in het nieuwe gedeelte (met afzonderlijk zwembad) en 1 in het oudere gedeelte. Beiden waren uitstekend. Aanwezige personeel was zeer vriendelijk en heeft ons uitstekend geholpen met het plannen van onze verdere reis, regelen van vervoer , etc...

Jammer dat er niet echt restaurant on site was maar begreep dat dit eerder met laag seizoen te maken had. Ontbijt was alleszins zeer goed.

The location is absolutely wonderful. We hesitated a lot between staying here and choosing somewhere right next to Sigiriya Rock, but honestly, being so close isn’t necessary at all. There are plenty of tuk-tuks available to get around, and in the end, it’s actually so nice to stay in this peaceful little haven, very well connected and still very close to everything, but away from the constant flow of people around the Rock. The place is exactly like in the pictures, if not even better! It is quiet, peaceful and surrounded by nature, with little touches everywhere that make it feel really welcoming and charming. The swimming pool is clean and very pleasant, perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The staff are absolutely amazing. They are always available, kind and genuinely helpful, and you really feel comfortable and at home here. They take the time to ask about your itinerary, give you advice, and whenever we had a free afternoon, they would suggest excursions depending on what we wanted to do and our time constraints. They were able to arrange everything for us at very competitive prices. They were especially accommodating when we arrived very early, well before check-in. We were able to have a lovely breakfast, then head to Lion Rock before 8am and enjoy it almost completely alone. We came back afterwards, relaxed by the pool, and our room was ready by the time we were done. During our stay, we also visited the Dambulla Cave Temple and the local fruit and vegetable market, with a private jeep safari to Minneriya which were both great experiences and very easy to organise from the hotel. There are also several great little restaurants serving delicious, typical Sri Lankan food just a two-minute walk away, which is really convenient and makes the location even better. We absolutely loved our stay. It is a calm, welcoming and genuinely lovely place, and we would highly recommend it!

We stapten uit de kamer en waren meteen aan het heerlijke zwembad. Dat beviel erg goed. Het leek haast een privézwembad. Het personeel heeft ons heel goed geholpen met informatie over de bus naar Nuwara Eliya.

We had an amazing stay. The rooms are really big, the garden and pool are stunning and peacefull. And the staff are so kind. The breakfast is the best we had in sri lanka. Todo. Un alojamiento increíble atendido por un personal maravilloso. Contratamos con ellos además el transfer desde Negombo. Y otro hasta Uppuveli. Muy profesionales. Y también el safari a Mineriya. Además, las atenciones de Raveen mediante la mensajería de Booking para preparar nuestra estancia también fueron óptimas.

Prachtige, rustige locatie met een heerlijk zwembad. Het personeel was zeer vriendelijk, het ontbijt was uitstekend en het het zwembad en de tuin was echt perfect – een van de beste die we tijdens onze reis in Sri Lanka hebben gehad.

Eigenlijk niets. We hebben een erg prettig verblijf gehad.

We reisden met onze kinderen en vroegen 2 kamers naast elkaar. We kregen een volledige 1ste verdieping met een gigantisch balkon met uitzicht op het zwembad. Het hotel en het zwembad waren het mooiste van onze 8 accommodaties die we in Sri Lanka hebben gedaan! Het is omgeven met tropische planten en 's avonds is het prachtig verlicht. Toen we een namiddag doorbrachten aan het zwembad, kwam het personeel spontaan vruchtensapjes brengen. Tijdens ons verblijf van 3 dagen merkten we dat de sfeer onder het personeel enorm goed zit. Ze staan ook in voor een grapje, merkte onze zoon toen hij o.a. een watersproeier op zich kreeg toen hij in het zwembad speelde. :-) Het lijkt een vriendenbende van twintigers met een uitstekend verantwoordelijkheidsgevoel, waardoor je ontspannen, zorgeloos en met een glimlach hier logeert. De kamer en badkamer zijn heel ruim. Het grote bed was heerlijk om in te slapen. Half pension is ons heel goed bevallen. Het ontbijt was enorm uitgebreid en gevarieerd. De ene dag kregen we pannenkoeken, een andere dag roti of hopper, ... We konden elke dag kiezen uit verschillende eiergerechten. De laatste dag kreeg onze dochter een chocoladetaart met een kaarsje op voor haar 15de verjaardag. Ze lieten ook haar lievelingsliedje spelen. Ook voor het diner hadden we veel keuze. Dank je voor de goede zorgen!

Doordat we op de bovenste verdieping sliepen, hoorden we 's ochtends de apen springen op het dak. Maar we vonden dit meer hilarisch dan ambetant.

Nothing good except friendly supporting staff

Mainly manager not speaking like normal human. He is talking with country name. He told me that “you Indian will behave like this” like that, when i ask for IS THERE ANY ROOM FOR DRIVER AND ASK FOR DENTAL KID. In my 20 years of travel, I never face like this type racism talk. All this talk only through mobile and cut the call to vacate immediately the hotel even without taking breakfast. All my family got upset and we go to another hotel for breakfast and continue our journey. Please dont take room on this hotel if the same manager is working. All other staff work friendly.

Mooie accommodatie met het gevoel in de jungle te vertoeven. Heel vriendelijk, behulpzaam en gastvrij personeel en eigenaar. Mooi, koel zwembad met ligbedjes en strandlakens. Ruime, nette kamer. Uitgebreid ontbijt: vers fruit, eieren, toast, zoet sri lankaanse pannenkoeken, paratta of roti, cupcakes/cake, vers sap en kofie/thee. Erg gevarieerd. Ligt zeer goed, vlakbij goede restaurantjes en winkeltjes binnen een straal van 10min wandelen. Of tuktuk voor 1€.

We stayed in a double room with pool view, it was in the newer part of the hotel and it was really lovely. Superb pool and great spacious rooms.

The staff are wonderful and the proximity to Sigiriya Rock is very convenient. They knew our baby’s name and were very kind by bringing him fruits and playing with him.

Ontbijt niet fantastisch. Alles komt in etappes op tafel. Toast nadat je omelet al op is, drankjes halverwege het eten etc. Eten zelf was ok maar naar Westerse begrippen niet bijzonder of zeer smaakvol. Uiteraard blijft dat ook een kwestie van smaak.
