I like the room - we had one with a balcony. Very cozy, with a fireplace. My kids love the breakfast, which is included in the price and it’s really good. We like the walkable path along the ocean right down the hotel and the restaurants nearby. Great stay for one night on the way to SF

The breakfast was a joke. Lots of starches and no protein. For what I paid, cooked eggs and a protein should have been a mainstay.

Location was amazing! Walk to the beach was everything we wanted. The kids didn't walk too far. Sam Chowder house is right next door, a 3 minute walk. Pool/spa was great. The view from the pool was exceptional. One of the best local beach hotels!

Breakfast selection was not what I expected. Please add a few kid friendly options.

Ganz klar die Lage und das ruhige Zimmer mit Meerblick waren nochmals ein Highlight auf unserer dreiwöchigen Reise. Die Zimmer- und Badgröße waren einfach toll. Danke Booking.com !! Das incl. Frühstück war wohl das Beste auf der ganzen Reise. Es war eines der Top 2 von 15 Hotels auf unserer Reise. Menschen, Haus, Zimmer, Lage, ... alles hat überzeugt. Parkplatz direkt vor dem Haus ohne extra Kosten.

Comfortable and quite quirky place right on the bay. Big rooms. Quite old fashioned but that seems to be the norm in these parts and is part of the charm. Nice breakfast which you can eat outside. Some decent places to eat within 10 mins walk. The absolute highlight was the 3 hour hike the receptionist recommended to Seal Cove - over the cliffs. Spectacular.

Cozy and beautiful - our family loved the pool and hot tub

I was very pleased with being on the second fllor. I waa initially looking at the first fllor. Now I know the best way to go is to start an ortho third floor. The bed was comfortable. The shower stream was perfect. I loved the mirror with the light in the bathroom. Having a fridge and microwave is a must for me because we always have leftover food. The view from the balcony was amazing. I could see the cove and the ocean. They plush robes put us right at home. They provided complimentary water in the lobby and had a beer abd wine hour. The complimentary continental breakfast was nice. The ham & cheese croissant was tasty. We enjoyed the fresh squeezed orange juice and organic apple juice. No need to spend over $1K to stay at thr Ritz just to say I stayed there. We definitely will be returning to make many memories. Of yes and parking was complimentary too.

The only upgrade I woukd make is put an ice machine on each floor or put it on the 2nd floor. Having to walk clear across the floor downstairs was my only meh but it not a big dislike.

The location right on the beach and close to the harbour is perfect. Although we had a road-side room it was not noisy as the noise insulation was excellent. The facilities were great with a fridge, kettle, coffee maker, plates, cups and cutlery. The breakfast choice of different breads, pastries and cake was amazing. Staff were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our welcome complimentary glass of wine.

We had a great one night stay at the Beach House during our kids spring break. From the moment we arrived, Victoria at the front desk made us feel like family. The hotel went above and beyond for us. Kids loved the heated pool, spa, and location. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. Breakfast featured fesh croissants and pastries. Overall, we really enjoyed our quick stay.

This property exceeded my expectations from the moment we walked in the door. A lovely manager greeted us, and even though we arrived early, she allowed us to check in before check-in time. She made sure to credit the amazing housekeeping staff for our ability to check in early because they do such an excellent job. Our room was stunning! A fireplace a view of the ocean a very smart layout of the room to accommodate our family of four. We made our way down to the hot tub and pool after grabbing some concessions at the front desk… They had a great selection of snacks and drinks… We had been on a major hiking trip so soaking our bones in the hot tub was just the thing we needed! We ate dinner next-door at Sam’s chowder house and slept like babies in the very comfortable beds. We were excited to wake up and have the continental breakfast served downstairs which is included in the room rate. We were blown away with the quality and selection of the breakfast items… Beautiful, handmade, pastries, high-quality yogurt, and fruit, any type of toast, bread, bagel that you could dream of two kinds of juice and coffee… We sat at a table with another lovely family and enjoyed our conversation. The only downside to this trip was that we couldn’t stay longer! Thank you so much beach house!

The breakfast for Sunday was great, had ham/Swiss croissant. However, could have had a few more selections, like bacon, or waffles. Monday, breakfast not as much selections as the weekend.

We had a fabulous stay! Love the size and comfort of the rooms, location of the hotel, and the breakfast was delicious! Love the idea of bringing in local places. Staff was great, too.

Location. The room with fireplace was outstanding. The balcony and view were wonderful. The bathroom not so much. Very ordinary. Nothing special. Not as nice as other places we’ve stayed where the rooms weren’t so special.

The complimentary breakfast was very mediocre. The worst we’ve ever experienced. Amazingly bad considering it was a $400 a night establishment. We have had far better breakfasts at Holiday Inn where the rooms are less than half the price.

It is an ocean front hotel. My room has ocean view and the room was very clean with very nicely decorated interior.

Wonderful stay despite the rain. With the fireplace and hot tub and excellent breakfast, we were rejuvenated. Bay area folks, I recommend for a quick getaway.

My husband kept saying, " this place is pledge clean" 😂 it was amazing. They were so accommodating allowing us to store and charge the ebikes we rented. The staff were incredibly sweet!! Our new favorite place to stay! We also biked to the ritz carlton and noticed our ocean views were far better than theirs. We will be back!

The location is perfect, with an exceptional view of Half Moon Bay and Princeton-by-the-Sea. Sam's Chowder House is just next door, with Mezzaluna Cafe and Restaurant, La Costanera, HMB Brewery, Barbara's Fishtrap, Ketch Joanne's (now the Pelagic), and more, only a scenic stroll away. Best of all, the Princeton-by-the-Sea fishing harbour is right there to be enjoyed. The hotel has a relaxed, marine atmosphere with lovely paintings of the Coastside. Our room was clean - it's obvious the cleaning staff work hard and take pride in what they do. We appreciated the Subzero refrigerator, microwave, stove, kettle, plus dishwashing liquid and paper towels - a rarity in hotels. The continental breakfast provided a good selection of delicious pastries and fresh fruit (though the famous banana bread disappears first). We understand the pressures of expense, but it would have been good to have some warm items, like scrambled eggs, sausages and/or bacon. Overall, our stay was most comfortable.

We traveled with our grand kids so we loved the warm pool and hot tub, we loved the location with just a quick walk to a cute little beach and the continental breakfast was amazing!! We also liked that the room had a mini kitchen and that the couch made into a bed!

We do like a bit cooler room temperature wise and the shower seemed like it needed grout cleaning.

The location is amazing. Plenty of great beaches within a short walk or drive. The view of the harbor and the wildlife from our room was mesmerizing. Quiet and relaxing. The continental breakfast was a bit disappointing, but the food and drink was all fresh and there was plenty of it.

I love how the property was right near the water. We had the beach view from our room, it was only a few steps away. It was also very clean and the staff were all so friendly.

That we couldn’t bring our small dog with us, but it was ok. Maybe we need a break from the little monster.

During the holidays I like to retreat to the quiet lobby where I can sip my coffee slowly next to the fireplace and gather my thoughts before heading out for a busy fun filled family gathering. Theres a beautiful Christmas tree next to the fireplace . I’ve stayed here many times but this time …. Just when you think it doesn’t get any better I mean a continental is well, basic right ? Not this time! They had lots of new locally made baked goods with labels telling you where it was baked. They even printed out a little menu! Fun fact : I used to work in a little hair salon on palmetto called Hair by the Sea. Now it’s the home of David’s bagels. As I was sitting next to the fireplace in the breakfast area eating David’s bagels it brought back many fond memories for me. The front desk is always very friendly and helpful. I’m sure there will be many more adventures at the beach house !

What a treat it was to stay here with my daughter, who flew into San Francisco on a Friday afternoon. It was an easy 35-minute drive from the airport, and we arrived just in time for the 5:30 wine reception and sunset. Check in was easy and fast, staff was informative, professional and friendly. And we met fun people in the lobby by the fireplace during the wine reception. After checking in, we took a short walk along the well-lit beachside walkway and found ourselves at Sam's Chowder House. After a tasty dinner, we strolled back to the hotel, threw on our suits and hotel robes and went to the hot tub, which was open until 11pm! (Such a pleasant surprise given how stingy hotels tend to be with their hot tub hours, often closing by 8pm.) The HUGE hot tub was the perfect temperature, hot but not scalding. After our soak, we went back to our room and lit the ingenious little burlap fire-in-a-sack and enjoyed a blazing fire while I caught up on all my daughter had been up to while away at school. The next morning, we were pleasantly surprised by the cozy fireplace and marina views we found in the breakfast room, which offered a tasty assortment of pastries, along with fruit, freshly squeezed juices, coffee, tea, etc. The many varieties of croissants were especially delicious! They even have trays you can use to take your breakfast back to your room. We made up a small tray with fruit and treats to enjoy later with our leftover seafood from the night before, which made for a tasty lunch we enjoyed by the pool that afternoon after we checked out. They were very kind to give us an extra hour to check out and then gave us a pool key so we could go in and out of the pool area as needed once we turned our room keys in. To top off the day, we took a sunset stroll along the wide-open beach that you can access directly from the pool area. All in all, it was a lovely overnight trip that gave us the special girl time this mama's heart was longing for! My husband and I just booked our return visit to celebrate our anniversary, and this time we are splurging on an ocean view room. Can't wait to go back!! For this trip, I decided not to pay extra for a room with a view because the whole place has lovely views, and we didn't plan to spend many daylight hours in our room. Here are a few things to note about our Standard Queen Suite room: - Good soundproofing. Our room faced the busy road, but we heard no road noise, unless the balcony doors were open. Never head noise from our neighboring rooms. - Clean, spacious room with comfy beds, quality linens and fluffy pillows. - The sofa was a bit too firm for us when closed, so we opened it up into the sofa bed. It was fine for snuggles, but I would not have wanted to sleep on it! Probably for little kids who are not too picky. :) - The shower/tub combo had hot water with decent pressure. Appreciated the two sinks and good counter space. Good hairdryer, not the tiny travel kind. - Big dresser is provided. Closet space was a bit tight due to the safe, extra pillows and ironing board. - The kitchenette is really well equipped with two electric stove burners, a toaster, coffee maker, microwave, and fridge. It even has a kettle for a cozy cup of tea by the fire. (Bring your own tea bags if you're like me an prefer fruity herbals to Earl Grey or tea with flowers in it.) Lots of storage for your own groceries, if you bring them. Dishes, utensils and silverware provided. - Sound system wasn't super intuitive. I will bring my Bluetooth speaker next time. As for the price, I found this place to be such a great value! At $310/night, it ends up being cheaper than a city hotel that charges $250/night because there is no resort fee and no fee to park. Throw in free breakfast, free wine reception, direct beach access, hot tub and heated pool with views for days–you get a lot of bang for your buck!
