Reviewed Sep 12, 2026We had a room on the 3rd floor looking across the harbor. It was a great view and we enjoyed the extra space we got with a comp room upgrade. Amazing bathtub. Would have enjoyed a massage but not available when we were there.
The dormer window on the 3rd floor lets in light 24 hoarser day. They do provide packaged eye masks if you are light sensitive while sleeping.

The Spa and Restaurant/Bar was closed. Open only Thursday-Saturday. We were there on a Tuesday and Wednesday. Understandable because very quiet in that area during the week. But not convenient for us. May have been nice if you could make a reservation for the spa on other days and for it not necessarily open for all but understandable. The Restaurant/Bar area not open did not matter so much because of all that was available around the hotel.

Enjoyed hearing the seals from our room. Oh, free underground parking was a huge plus. We will definitely go back.

Didn’t like that the sea lions were yapping all night, because I like to sleep with the open balcony and somebody downstairs was smoking weed, all that smell was pulled inside the room.

Booked next trip for Pumpkin Festval!! (Staff friendly, helpful). Weekend getaway was a real treat, thanks Oceano Inn!!!

It was disappointing that there were not more amenities for the price. A hot tub for guest use would have been nice, and some type of breakfast bar, or continental breakfast would have been appreciated.

Outdated TVs with no streaming. Picture quality was bad as well. We tried to sleep with the sliding doors open, but people were talking outside all night, as well as seagulls (strange at night unless disturbed) and a seal (I would have loved that, but one of the people was saying something to it like "chill out, bruh", so I worried about that situation) The room overlooks 2 restaurants and their parking areas, as well as the water behind them. I'm not sure if these people were fishing or what....at 3 AM I finally shut the glass sliding door and noticed that the red fish sign was back on at one of the restaurants.

The fitness center was 82 degrees, all 3 days we were there. The food at your restaurant was not great (a Caesar salad with no Romain lettuce or croutons, and clam chowder that was just OK). The toilet paper needs to be double ply not single. You need to have paid movies available with no commercials.

Seriously how could they not have shades on the upper windows? We had a king suite and the light from these huge upper windows come in the room at 6:30am. What is the point of having curtains on the lower windows at all? Based on this we will never come back although everything else was very enjoyable. But seriously, vacation is supposed to be relaxing and sleeping in.
