The shower was very small and the water pressure was pretty weak. Cheviot is a nice little town (with a great pub and some nice cafes) but we had trouble finding things to do after the first three days.

Reviewed Mar 7, 2026The motel was very easy to find, as it is just off Highway 1. Check-in was smooth and the staff member was very helpful, even pointing out where we could go for a meal. There is car parking available onsite, which was convenient. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The air conditioning was especially welcome as it was a very hot day. There is a handrail just outside the shower, which was appreciated. WIFi free, non secured.
The advantage of being just off the main highway and easy to find, meant that there was some road traffic noise. The plastic shower cubicle was adequate, although the water pressure was a bit low and the floor was quite slippery. It would have benefited from a non-slip mat.

Huge rooms with great comfortable beds, satellite TV and strong wifi, this place was the cleanest we’ve ever seen with absolutely no dust - something that is unheard of. Absolutely loved our one night there (as just passing through) but would go out of our way to stay there again. Wonderful!

Reviewed Jan 20, 2026Easy to find. Living area was spacious and roomy bedroom. Comfy bed. Kitchen equipped with all we needed for breakfast and it was lovely to be offered a jug of milk for the unit. Quiet, didn't hear the traffic or any neighbours.
Mirror in the living area was warped, but bedroom mirror was fine. No obvious power point for hairdryer in the bathroom, maybe I just didn't see it. Also, no power points on one side of the beds and dust/cobwebs behind beside when I pulled it out to check for powerpoint. Shower nozzle restricts water flow.

Reviewed Dec 16, 2025De locatie was goed en het bed was prima. Bijna alles wat men eventueel nodig heeft was aanwezig. Ontvangst was prima nadat ik de beheerder achter het huis had geattendeerd op onze aankomst. Hij was met tuinonderhoud bezig.
De sanitaire voorzieningen waren oud en aan vervanging dan wel verbouwing toe.

Wi-Fi is often intermittent. I couldn't book my next motel, I couldn't pay my bills, I couldn't work, and I was in a lot of trouble.
