The hotel’s main advantage is its location, but it is certainly not the only hotel in the area with a good location. There are plenty of other options nearby, so the location alone is not enough to make this hotel stand out.

What disappointed me most was the complete lack of flexibility regarding check-in and check-out. Check-out is strictly at 11:00 AM, while check-in is only at 2:00 PM. There is already a three-hour window to prepare the rooms, which seems more than sufficient, yet they were not willing to offer any flexibility at all. There was also no late check-out option available, which I consider a major downside. This kind of rigid policy can really limit your plans, especially when travelling. The breakfast was also very standard and extremely crowded. In the end, we preferred to have breakfast somewhere else rather than at the hotel. Overall, I am deducting points mainly because of how unhelpful they were regarding early check-in and late check-out. Apart from the location, there was nothing particularly special or memorable about the hotel that would make me choose it over the many other hotels in the same area. I would not stay here again.

Schöne Lage, tolle Einrichtung, gutes Frühstück. Man konnte auf Zimmerreinigung verzichten und hat dafür einen Gutschein für den Bar oder für Fahrradverleih bekommen.

Vielleicht war was besonderes los in Kopenhagen in dierser Zeit; nicht nur Absalon sondern andere Hotels auch waren sehr teuer. 350 € pro Nacht ist schon happig, auch für ein gutes Hotel.

Η τοποθεσία του ξενοδοχείου ήταν εξαιρετική, κοντά σε σταθμό μετρό και στο κεντρικό σιδηροδρομικό σταθμό της Κοπεγχάγης. Εξυπηρετικό προσωπικό. Το πρωινό ήταν καλό, που είναι πολύ σημαντικό για μία πόλη με ακριβό φαγητό. Το δωμάτιο ήταν ευήλιο, αν και μικρό για οικογένεια ενώ το μπάνιο πολύ άνετο.

Το πρωινό θα μπορούσε να είχε μεγαλύτερη ποικιλία, ενώ τα αρτοποιήματα ήταν εξαιρετικά, θα μπορούσε να έχει και περισσότερα αλλαντικά (π.χ. μπέικον) ή είδη αυγών (π.χ. αυγά μάτια ή ομελέτα) ή και είδη καφέ. Θεωρώ ότι η καθαριότητα θα μπορούσε να είναι πιο προσεγμένη.

The proximity to attractions (particularly tivoli), the train station and metro was excellent. The staff were helpful and friendly. We were worried about the location based on other comments about sex shops, but honestly it’s one shop across the road and it’s not a problem. We felt safe with our 4 year old, even when walking back to the hotel later at night. Breakfast was excellent and everything was refilled regularly. Our room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. We had a fantastic stay and would stay there again.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

Absalon Hotel is conveniently next to the train station. The room are spacious with air conditioning, wifi, and refrigerator. Rooms are very clean. Staff is extremely nice. They were great help with dining recommendations and hailing a taxi. Breakfast was complimentary that offered a large selection of food including vegan Smørrebrød with vegan cheese and vegan deli slices. Our room faced the courtyard. It had no noise from other guests or anything outside. We recommend staying at this hotel.

Location close to train station but some homeless people on a few of the side streets. That can’t be helped and is unfortunate but made us a bit uncomfortable later in evening. Shower as an overhead unit above narrow bath not ideal - can be slippy/dangerous. Also small ledges to/from bathroom and throughout hotel made tripping a bit of a hazard.

Als ich um 15 Uhr aus dem Zimmer ging, davor hatte ich das nicht stören Schild, war mein Zimmer geputzt. Mega toll.

We had a great stay here during our week in Copenhagen. The hotel is central by the train station. But manages to be quiet and not too noisy. The courtyard was nice for a drink and some snacks. We were in a family room and space was ok. We managed. The shower was a bit wayward and unless you were careful it soaked the bathroom. There was an air con unit which we had running through the nights to keep the room a good sleeping temperature. The reception team were always really helpful and we were allowed to check in a bit early and out a bit late which made our stay even easier. Breakfast can be manic, don’t go at peak time, but do go downstairs and use the second self service area there for a quieter experience. There is a coffee pot on each table. The coffee is ok, I didn’t ask for a latte so not sure if they do. They do have teapots and tea bags for those that like tea.

Central location and good clean room. Being robbed in reception however spoilt our Copenhagen break. As we booking in at reception a man stole my wallet from my bag. The thief was clearly caught on the hotels CCTV taking my wallet and going into the hotel bar. The staff said it was nothing to do with them. I was joined by another hotel quest who said her husband had had his wallet stolen between the station and the hotel. I was told that in Denmark it was the victim who had to report a crime to the police. (Zero murders then!) Eventual the hotel manager agreed to send the video to the police and assured me he would report the crime. On checking out I was assured that they would contact me about matter. Four months have now passed without a word. So much for duty of care.

The hotel as such is OK, but we got a check-in that was - by far - the worst we’ve ever had. A gum chewing snotty young girl approached us in a way that was totally unacceptable: hugely rude, very unkind and below any basic standards. We’ve travelled around the world but literally never experienced this kind of rude behaviour anywhere. Very disappointing! Our advice: find yourself another hotel, with decent staff at reception.

We loved our stay here. It is well placed and within walking distance of the main attractions. The staff on reception (both Italian and Danish) were all very helpful in guiding us on the best places to visit. There are some nice bars close to the hotel and the bar in the hotel is cosy and welcoming.

We chose the Absalon for its air conditioning (in the superior rooms) and proximity to the central train station and nice restaurants. We were glad for the AC as it was in the low 80’s at the end of July. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast very good, and the staff very helpful. They helped us with the public transportation app and got us a very nice cabbie when we were headed to the cruise terminal. The lighting in the bathroom could have been better and the cleanliness in the elevators should be addressed. There’s a lovely bar with comfortable indoor seating plus an outdoor courtyard with seating. All in all, a nice place to stay. Definitely make reservations for the restaurants you want to go to.

We were exhausted, hot and hungry when we arrived. We easily got checked in, showered, immediately fell asleep on the crisp white, clean bed with air temperature control. Then we woke up and found amazing vegan food at the end of a block, about a 2 minute walk from the hotel. The front desk staff were professional, friendly, helpful, and had a sense of humor. What more could you ask for?

This hotel is in a fantastic location just next to the train station. The cocktails are tasty and there is a very nice and friendly atmosphere. We really enjoyed our time in this city and found this hotel was a great base. Highly recommend!

Clean and comfortable hotel brilliantly situated in walking distance from the railway station and all the attractions of Copenhagen

Sehr freundliches Personal, gutes Frühstück, Zimmer war sehr schön und man ist schnell in der Stadt bei allen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Sogar meine Schuhe die ich bewusst dort gelassen hab (der Mülleimer war schon voll), wurden fotografiert und ich bekam eine E-Mail dass ich was vergessen hätte! - Super Service. Auch gibts die Möglichkeit kein Housekeeping machen zu lassen - dafür bekommt man einen Gutschein für einen Cocktail an der Bar.

Die Gegend des Hotels wirkt ein wenig heruntergekommen (Bahnhofs-Nähe) Hat aber mit dem Hotel nix zu tun.

Location was fantastic. Easy and cheap to get from airport by train. Everywhere in Copenhagen was flat and walkable from hotel. Breakfast filled us up so only needed snack at lunchtime, saving us money in an expensive city.

Hotel is located close to the central railway station and the Metro. Also, it is close to bars, restaurants, shops, Tivoli Gardens, museums, and many other attractions. Room was spotlessly clean, quiet, comfortable, and well-equipped. The breakfast was delicious. The staff members were pleasant, helpful, and efficient. The hotel has a parking area for bicycles for guests who are travelling by bicycle. Would recommend this hotel to everyone.

There wasn't anything we didn't like.

As we were travelling by train we were delighted with the close proximity of The Absalon Hotel to the station. In fact, the location is walking distance to many attractions The room was large, well lit and comfortable and the continental breakfast offered a good spread of healthy options.

God morgenmad med vegansk pålæg, mange forskellige slags te, godt brød og god kaffe. Det var rigtig godt. Værelset var også meget fint med god aircondition, god seng og roligt om natten. Fint Badeværelset. Godt møbleret. Receptionen var også meget pæn og personalet var flinke og hjælpsomme. Mit værelset var ledigt før tid.

Da jeg tjekkede ind ved receptionen første gang, snakkede jeg dansk til receptionisten, men hun blev ved med at snakke engelsk tilbage til mig på trods af, at vi begge to var danskere. Det var lidt mærkeligt. Til sidst begyndte hun så at snakke dansk tilbage. Udover dette var personalet altid flinke og hjælpsomme.

We had booked a superior double room as part of a week's holiday and were surprised by how small the room we were allocated was. The following day after reviewing the room specifications on the hotel's website, we became concerned that we had been given a standard room rather than the superior room we had booked and paid for. We raised this with the reception staff, who confirmed that we had been allocated a standard room. However, they did not accept that the hotel had made an error, would not accept our legally-binding hotel voucher which clearly specified a superior room, and would not move us to the superior room we had booked without charging a substantial additional daily rate. They advised us to contact our travel agent. We emailed our travel agent, who made contact with the Absalon Hotel the following morning. The hotel then acknowledged that they had made a mistake and several hours later, moved us to a superior room. They provided some drinks vouchers as an apology. By this stage, we had spent several hours and exchanged many emails simply trying to obtain the room we had originally booked. We had slept poorly for two nights in a small room with a small bed. After a number of discussions over the next few days, the hotel refunded the cost of our first two nights' stay. I have reflected the disruption to our holiday in giving this review a generous two stars.

Perfectly situated in a bustling area very close to the central rail station. There were many areas to sit in the lobby, patio at the back and at the front of the hotel and the bar. Great bar serving great drinks which we really enjoyed daily. The room we were given was so small that we couldn’t open our large suitcase except on the bed, which we don’t like to do. The bed was very small and I almost fell out twice during the night but on learning this, they changed our room for us the next day which was great. It made our stay more comfortable. The breakfast was a good selection of cold meats and cheeses, breads, croissants, pastries, fruits, boiled and scrambled eggs and sausage. Sadly there was no bacon that Denmark is famous for. Needs a rethink. The staff were excellent and a credit to the hotel.

Staff always pleasant & helpful central location, metro 2 minute walk away … our go to hotel in Copenhagen & we have tried others but we always prefer Absalon

Really lovely hotel very near the central station. Efficient staff, lovely breakfast and very clean. Very busy, people coming and going all the time which added to the vibrant atmosphere. Bedrooms a good size. Shower a little challenging. Bath quite high so stepping over to get access to shower was quite tricky for someone who’s not as young OR flexible as in the past!!

A bit noisy and the shower hose choice over the bath resulted in water all over the bathroom floor which may be a safety issue for less able guests.

Hotel muy cómodo, las habitaciones cuentan con algunas facilidades que se agradecen, bastantes enchufes normales y de usb, espacio para dejar las cosas en el lavabo, café e infusiones y agua… Desayuno completo y de buena calidad. Personal muy amable y facilitador.

Como aspectos a poder meljorar: almohadas muy blandas, las cortinas dejan pasar algo de luz y por el baño también entra aunque esté cerrada la puerta, pocas opciones sin gluten en el desayuno.
