The property was excellent overall. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. I really enjoyed the delicious breakfast, the peaceful atmosphere, and the warm and professional service from the staff. Everything was well organized, and the hotel provided a very comfortable stay.

There was nothing major that I disliked. Overall, everything was very good and met my expectations.

I recently stayed at Kathmandu Marriott Hotel and had a wonderful experience. One of the biggest advantages of this hotel is its location. It offers easy access to many parts of Kathmandu, making it convenient to visit major attractions, restaurants, and shopping areas while still providing a peaceful and comfortable environment to return to after a day out. The hotel itself feels a little older in some areas, but it is very well maintained and exceptionally clean. The room was comfortable, and I had a really enjoyable stay. Breakfast was definitely the highlight of my stay. I'm quite adventurous when it comes to food, so breakfast was something I genuinely looked forward to every morning. The selection was excellent, with plenty of local and international options, and everything was fresh and delicious. What made the breakfast experience even more memorable was the incredible hospitality from the team. Since I was travelling with a friend, the staff remembered us and would always kindly escort me to my friend's table each morning without me even having to ask. It was such a thoughtful gesture that made me feel truly welcomed. A special thank you to Pravahor, Sahul, Susmita, and Chef Alisha for their exceptional service. Their warm smiles, attentiveness, and genuine care made every breakfast an enjoyable experience and truly reflected the hotel's hospitality. Room service was also impressive. Orders arrived quickly, and the team was always responsive and efficient whenever I needed assistance. Overall, while the hotel may show a little age, the cleanliness, convenient location, outstanding service, and wonderful staff more than make up for it. They made my stay in Kathmandu truly memorable, and I would definitely choose Kathmandu Marriott again on my next visit. Highly recommended!

This was an outstanding stay, made truly special by the incredible staff. Everyone was warm, professional, and always willing to help, but Nirdesh deserves special recognition. His dedication, hard work, and genuine care for guests were exceptional. He was constantly checking to make sure everything was perfect and went above and beyond to ensure we had the best possible experience. His attention to detail and friendly attitude made us feel genuinely valued throughout our stay. The Club Lounge was another highlight. The views were fantastic, and the complimentary food and drinks were delicious. We were pleasantly surprised that all of this was included with our room, making the experience even more memorable. I am titanium elite member with over 140 stays till July this year. I stay in many different Marriot properties around the world but this one I’ll remember. Y days 5 nights of pure kindest modesty and care from the hotel staff. Being a seasoned traveler staying with Marriott over 100 nights a year I have to give this hotel a extremely high rating. An oasis in the desert offering unprecedented quality services and amenities in Kathmandu. Most of all because of the people the service and professional attention they genuinely give. This hotel is lacking soul and feels has too much like a businesses Center then true luxury Nepalese stay however the Hotel staff working here makes up for it all! They remover our names and what coffees we need in the morning, we always had nice chats and laugh together. My absolute favourite was Parash who knows what a true hospitality is about - Thank you for adding character to me holiday!

I had a great stay at the Marriott Kathmandu Hotel, the staff were very friendly, warm and kind towards me (the service was great!). However, perhaps the quality of the boiled eggs could be improved as some were a bit black and green in colour, which was a bit concerning. Other than that, the food quality is mostly reliable and the lobby is very peaceful. Parash was a very caring waiter at the buffet and all the staff were very sweet :) had a good time here.

The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. The rooms were spotless, and the beds were very comfortable. If you stay on one of the higher floors, you'll be rewarded with a beautiful view. I had a great stay and would happily recommend this hotel.

We stayed for 13 days at this hotel and everything was simply perfect. Room cleanliness impeccable, lounge and restaurants food and attention by staff outstanding. From the person that cleaned everyday our room (Ms Deesha), to the staff at the lounge (Mr Maharjan, Ajay, Sarita, Mohir, Suraj, and other) we always received a welcoming smile and could appreciate their very professional work. They made our stay there much better.

Second time I have stayed here. It is a great hotel in Nepal with good amenities a nice selection of restaurants and super friendly and helpful staff. Gyan Kumari in particular was very helpful when we were looking for a quiet place to work where we could charge our laptops. Very helpful and friendly staff, great food and well maintained.

Club lounge is very nice with sunset view and waiters and waitresses excellent and efficient service , make me feel at home

Everyone here is so amazing! The staff have even remembered my name and friends two years later. Sujit and Manila and Sandip at the Thamel Kitchen are so amazing! The chef Alisha and dristi ,sushmita are all lovely and talented. I am a great fan of the desserts.

Stayed at this Marriott from June 7–11 while attending an EPR conference with SACEP and delegates from across South Asia. The hospitality was outstanding throughout our stay. The staff were attentive, professional, and went out of their way to make our group feel welcome, which mattered a lot given the scale of the event and number of guests. The food was excellent, with great variety to suit different tastes among our international delegation. The location is ideal, right in the heart of Kathmandu, making it convenient for both work and exploring the city. This is my fourth Marriott stay across three different countries, and this property easily ranks among the best in terms of service quality and overall guest experience. Highly recommended for both business travelers and conference groups.

Best place to stay and nice and friendly environment

The best customer service ive experienced in any hotel i have ever been to. I had a medical emergency while travelling and the hotel staff was extremely accomodating and thoughtful. I will stay jere again amd again. Excellent all around!

I am a solo female traveller and I stayed in an M club room for periods of time between excursions. The hospitality was flawless and seemed to represent the very best warmth and generosity that makes Nepal such a wonderful place. All staff - particularly those in the M club lounge - were warm, welcoming, and friendly. I was impressed to always be greeted by name in the lounge and that staff often enquired about my experience, my wellbeing and whether there was anything they could assist me with. I feel bad naming only some staff members such as Anu, Sarita, Ajay and Sanjal (?) who made my stay so comfortable because literally all lounge staff were exceptional team members. The M club lounge was a very pleasant place to spend time looking out over the city. Beverages and snacks were available all day and a generous supper offering was available during the evening “happy hour”. It truly felt like a home away from home. I could not have felt more comfortable and supported during my journeys in Nepal. The Marriott decor was elegant and to a high standard that would be appropriate for any high end offering anywhere in the world. Thank you so much for an exceptional experience.

What a perfect, perfect way to stay in Kathmandu! The most beautiful hotel and tranquil escape from bustling Kathmandu... was so relaxing to return here each night and unwind from a busy day. The service from every single person I encountered at Kathmandu Marriott Hotel was exceptional. I believe this is a combination of the lovely Nepali culture and the brilliant training and standards upheld by the hotel, but it was ultimately the staff who made my stay so memorable. When I encountered an issue, everyone went above and beyond to resolve it and ensure I was comfortable. That did not go unnoticed. The security guards were friendly, the concierge was helpful, reception staff were welcoming, and the team in the Club Lounge were all amazing. They were attentive, professional, and maintained a high standard of service even when busy. The chefs and housekeeping staff were also excellent. A special mention to Rajana, as I requested my room be deep cleaned daily and it was completed perfectly each time. I would also like to make a special mention of Prazena Khadka, who was excellent at her job, kind, and professional. Anu in the Club Lounge provided some of the kindest service I experienced during my stay. She was lovely, highly professional, and delivered attentive, high class customer service. In fact, she provided some of the best hotel service I have ever received. All of the Club Lounge staff were outstanding. Unfortunately, I misplaced the card with everyones name on it, but there were two young men who worked at the Club Room, and also were the bartenders who were SO NICE - the best service and best cocktails - made my martini perfectly and we always laughed, just beautiful service all round. The rooms are spotlessly clean, as is the whole hotel. You are safe, clean and welcomed. It is nice to have this standard of hotel in Kathmandu now, and great that they have only Nepali people working to give locals work and an authentic experience. I will happily stay at the Kathmandu Marriott Hotel again on future visits to Nepal - I can't wait!

Out of all the places I have visited, the Kathmandu Marriott Hotel is hands down the best 5-star property in Nepal! What truly made my stay unforgettable was Sapana Bhatta from housekeeping. She was the absolute star of my visit, and I was genuinely impressed by her warmth and incredible attention to detail. The hotel's location is perfect, being so close to Durbar Marg. On top of that, the entire property is exceptionally clean and beautifully maintained. I highly recommend staying here!

I was here in Nepal for few days and I tried buffet in Thamel kitchen and specially mentioning Manila and sujit umesh and miqzen in evening and sushmita in the morning time and the service was very good they made us fell like home and we will come back to the same hotel again in our next trip for sure.

The hotel is centrally located. The staff are extremely friendly and very polite. Especially Manila, Miqzen, Sumit, Umesh, Sushmita, Santoshi were exceptionally good. They made us feel at home and catered to all our requests. We plan to revisit and stay in this hotel again.

We recently stayed five nights at the Kathmandu Marriott Hotel, on a very relaxed holiday. We found it a very comfortable, warmth experience, especially thanks to the M Lounge team. The lounge service was welcoming throughout. Manish, the manager, runs things with calm professionalism and keeps everything running smoothly with no fuss. A special mention to Ajay and Suraj at the lounge. They were often around in the afternoons and evenings after our day trips. They would check in on us; prepare a delicious iced lemon tea, which became a very nice way to wind down after long days out in Kathmandu. Small gesture, but very thoughtful and much appreciated. The M Lounge is a relaxed space to return to each day, and the team there made a great difference to our stay. Thank you to the team for their hospitality during our visit.

Definitely would come here again! The hotel was in a great location and exceeded my expectations. The service was friendly and welcoming from all hotel staff, there are beautiful views of the mountains, and there was a luxury look and feel throughout the hotel and especially in my room. Most of all, I had a great experience with the servers in the M Lounge, with Sanita and Dipesh. Very friendly and accommodating. And of course there was great food options from the best chef Yuboai.

My wife and I stayed 5 nights at Kathmandu Marriott and the care and service that we experienced was exceptional. The MClub manager, Manish, and his team were all very welcoming, professional and really made our stay memorable. Manish took extra steps to check in with us daily with suggestions of where to go, what to see and where to eat. He also arranged an incredible birthday dinner for my wife that we will always remember. Our “hats come off” for Manish. I hope Marriott realizes the type of person they have working for them in Kathmandu. HE HAS THE GOODS!

Just finishing four nights at this Marriott. Having stayed nearly 100 nights in Marriott’s in the past year, I can say with confidence that this one stands among the best I’ve stayed at. The property is pristine without being sterile. It maintains efficiency without feeling like an assembly line. The service, especially at the Lounge, makes you feel like you are doing the staff a big favor for allowing them to serve you. I would like to give my special thanks to Ajay for his relentless enthusiasm. The breakfast, room service and restaurants provide both quality, tastiness and novelty. Particularly coming off the EBC trek, this Marriott feels like a gift to yourself.

I stay approximately 100-120 a year at Marriotts. Just spent 3 days at the Kathmandu Marriott and have to put it at the top of the list after this stay. The rooms are perfect as well as the views. Beds and pillows are so comfortable. The service is exceptional from the front desk, all the restaurants and especially all the staff in the M Club lounge. Exceptional is all I can say for all the staff who work the lounge. Nothing has been too much for any and all requests. Myself and my son are off today to do the EBC trek and on our return have 5 more days at the Kathmandu Marriott on our return. Looking forward to another massage in the spa once we return from our trek. I hardly ever leave reviews, but this one is well deserved. Thank you all.

Great hotel and very well positioned, the food is really good but what really makes a difference is the team at this hotel. I have to mention Menuka who made us feel very welcome in the bar area and showed a genuine interest in our trip as well as suggesting new areas to explore and tempting us with new dishes to try-she really went the extra mile and we truly appreciated her friendliness. Also up in the Tahina restaurant with an excellent choice of foods and drinks, Tsuldim was super! So friendly and helpful. Thank you!

We stayed 6 nights at this wonderful hotel while visiting Kathmandu. I found this hotel due to all the highly rated reviews on TripAdvisor and google maps. The location, cost, and added perks were the reason I ended up booking. Our hotel rate included round trip airport transportation, 3 pieces of laundry each day, breakfast, and a few other things. Let’s start with the room, it was spotless and very spacious. I thought the beds were rather comfortable, especially for this area in Asia. The breakfast at this hotel is AMAZING, probably the best hotel breakfast we have ever had. Such a huge variety, and I especially enjoyed the local dishes they changed up daily. We enjoyed hanging out at the rooftop pool, however the pool itself was very cold and we did not get in it (it also wasn’t overly hot while we were there). Staff were all friendly and helped us with everything we needed, including making us a box breakfast the morning we left early for the airport. The hotel is a little walk to Thamel. When walking, you should walk on the North side of the street, you cross 2 less intersections this way. With that said, you do cross 2 very busy intersections when you walk to Thamel. We did it at least once everyday and it was fine. If you have not been to Nepal or Vietnam, I recommend reading up on how to cross busy streets (spoiler alert, there are no traffic lights). With that said, it is very nice being away from the very busy part of the city, the hotel is very quiet and peaceful. My only feedback for this hotel is that our laundry came back damp several times, and did not dry very well due to the humidity and therefore ended up smelling moldy. We would absolutely stay here if we ever come back to Kathmandu and I highly recommend it.

While bringing takeaway food back to the hotel, I accidentally spilled sauce all over my legs. I would like to sincerely thank Sujit, Umesh, and Mamata for their prompt assistance in rewrapping the food and helping me clean up. The hotel team delivered excellent service.

Been 40 years since my last trip to Nepal. Like the fact there is a modern hotel and food I can eat. It was conveniently located near to the airport. Maybe if you had more information about the area places to go etc.. Shopping mall inside the hotel was great especially the mounteering equipments.

Only thing was the toilet was not very clean and toilet seat was slightly broken.

Accueil avec un portier qui s’occupe de nos sacs à dos jusque dans la chambre et petit jus d'orange de bienvenue lors du check in. Chambre spacieuse et confortable, nous avons particulièrement apprécié les oreillers !!! Nous attendions avec impatience le buffet du petit déjeuner et mon dieu que c’était délicieux. Du sucré, du salé, des fruits, des légumes, des plats népalais, des chutneys, du fromage, des croissants et pain au chocolat, des cakes, toutes sortent d’œufs, des condiments confits... en veux tu en voilà, il y en a pour tous les goûts. Nous nous sommes régalés et le personnel est très accueillant.

Nous nous sommes offert ce type de chambre, ce sera probablement une fois dans notre vie, nous préférons les hébergements locaux et plus typiques !

First time staying this hotel, very clean very nice, super friendly staff. Everything is new including the room, no old stuff. Try the thamel restaurant in the lobby.
