The location is perfect, you are right on the main street, and the parking is 2-4 minutes away. The hotel itself is clean and modern. Rooms with balcony, free mini bar!

Everything was ok!

Fantastic room and facilities, free drink and minibar was a lovely extra.

Le petit déjeuner

Chambre un peu trop petite

Très bonne situation à Bâle, design réussi et ambiance contemporaine. La chambre était confortable, avec un excellent lit. J’ai également beaucoup apprécié le minibar gratuit.

Le petit déjeuner ne m’a pas convaincue. La salle est assez froide et peu accueillante. J’ai surtout trouvé très désagréable l’odeur des saucisses grillées dès le matin. Le café était également de qualité très médiocre, ce qui contraste avec le niveau général de l’hôtel.

Modernes Hotel, mit sehr gut ausgestatteten Zimmern. Sehr freundliches Personal, schöne Bar und Frühstücksraum mit Terrasse im Dachgeschoss.

Gut isoliert, aufgrund der sehr zentralen Lage mitten im Ausgangsviertel kann es jedoch draussen auf der Gasse laut sein und das Fenster muss zu bleiben. Der Raum ist jedoch optimal belüftet und dies war voll in Ordnung.

It didn't have air con - not their fault as it's a new rule from the city on new buildings but it was warm in the room!

camera da due adulti adattata come camera da tre adulti, ristrutturazioni in corso negli edifici vicini, ho pagato a booking per 5 notti (2 adulti) 947 chf prenotazione poi cambiata in 4 notti ma mi ha restituito solo 62 che (anziché 189 che per un giorno in meno): resto in attesa della differenza non ricevuta

Mooi hotel met goede ligging ten opzichte van het centrum. Parkeren kan dichtbij in een parkeergarage. Personeel is erg vriendelijk. Ontbijt was goed. Centrum op loopafstand. Kamer geen airco, maar wel goede klimaatregulatie, waardoor het ondanks de hitte prima te doen was op de kamer (rond de 19 graden).

Świetna lokalizacja, bardzo estetycznie zaprojektowane wnętrza, codziennie uzupełniany barek, pyszne śniadania z lokalnych produktów i wiele z nich bio.

La atención de la encargada de la consejeria Luz: eficaz y amable.

Un calor tremendo en la habitación. No hay aire acondicionado en pleno mes de agosto, y con un calor humedo muy incomodo. Y el colchon muy incomodo: se hunde. Y la almohada igual. Para rematar la incomodidad en el edificio de enfrente obras con mucho ruido desde primera hora de la mañana. La foto de la web del hotel no tiene nada que ver con la realidad.

Pas de climatisation

The hotel was nice with lovely staff.

given the heat and the fact that the hotel is located above bars, it was impossible to open the windows to get some fresh air as it was really noisy until 4 am… therefore it might be better to stay in this hotel in winter and during the week.

La ubicacion

We stayed in this beautiful modern hotel for one week in August, and we absolutely loved it! We loved the room, which combines stunning Japanese design with absolute comfort, and we already miss it: a roomy shower, a big window overlooking a lively street, lots of wood, a really comfy bed, a quiet, cozy and relaxing atmosphere, a free minibar, a coffee machine and a teapot, free fruit always available, and many more amenities... The temperature in our room was always comfortable despite the hot weather outside and the lack of air conditioning. The staff were really kind and very helpful! We had breakfast there once, and it was delicious. It costs CHF 25 for hotel guests. The location is also perfect, just a 10-minute walk from the main station. We'll always keep Art House Basel in our hearts!

Not having AC into the room when outside were 36 degrees C is absolutely not acceptable.

Gran bella struttura, hotel in una posizione centrale che ti da la libertà di raggiungere più o meno tutti i punti d’interesse a piedi. Accolto al check-in da due ragazze veramente cordiali e sorridenti, così come lo è stato il portiere notturno quando ci siamo incrociati mentre compilavo il foglio della colazione. Stanza bellissima e curata in ogni dettaglio, un oasi di relax, o almeno io l’ho trovata così. Accessoriata di tutto il necessario, dispongono anche di kit di cortesia chiamando la reception, nota di merito alla cassa bluetooth in camera e a tutta la linea di shampoo sapone e crema corpo. Disponibile anche la colazione in camera, con un supplemento di 8CHF, veramente deliziosa (colazione continentale). Ho soggiornato anch’io di sabato notte ed effettivamente la strada è leggermente rumorosa, con finestre insonorizzate ed eventualmente tappi per orecchie a disposizione già in stanza. Sarà una tappa fissa quando passerò da Basilea.

Le camere x legge sono raffrescate con nuovi impianti che purtroppo,non riescono a sopperire al gran caldo!

Super friendly and helpful staff! Wonderful gym arrangement with the gym next door. Highly recommend using it. Nice shower with great scented Swiss manufactured soaps and shampoo. Close distance from public parking garage.

No AC!!! seriously- with 36C out its hard to sell a central fan-only no AC room. If we had known that, we would not have booked the hotel. We were hot and uncomfortable in the room even though we followed all instructions to keep the room at 19C.. Also, many (small) floors, too much up and down for anything you want to do by a small elevator. The terrace views are so-so, the bar carries Saint Marguerite wine stuff (glasses and wine coolers) but not their (absolutely fab!) wines. so will not book it again.

Lovely stay, hotel provide us with all we need and extra.

De kamertemperatuur en de vriendelijkheid van het personeel. Ze boden ook een hele resem lactose vrije producten aan.

Jammer dat de functies van het toilet niet werkte en dat de weegschaal ook niet werkte.

Mobiler modern, foarte curat, camera spatioasa, masina de cafea de la receptie. Cardul de transport.

Cea mai rea experienta cu angajatul unei receptii. Intr-o zi caniculara, cu 10 minute inainte de ora oficiala pentru check-in mi s-a spus ca nu au camera curata. A refuzat sa-si spuna numele. Atitudinea, felul de a vorbi, taraganarea chiar dupa ora prevazuta pentru check-in...umilinta clientului este telul sau. Restul personalului a fost cu o inalta tinuta profesionala. Educatia si obârsia conteaza in orice profesie. Camerele dau spre un mare santier. Cam 8m de la geam pana in santier.

Keine Klimaanlage, war nicht auszuhalten. Fenster konnten nicht geöffnet werden, da unser Zimmer direkt zur „Ausgehmeile“ von Basel hin war! Also extrem heiß, extrem laut, und leider auch noch sehr starker Fettgeruch…..

Zentral gelegen. Modernes Design. Fürstliches Frühstücks-Buffet.

Als doorreis hotel zeker een aanrader. Aangekomen tijdens een voetbal avond dus heel veel volk in de straat aanwezig. Hotel ligt in uitgaansbuurt. Maar we hebben er eerlijk gezegd niets van gemerkt. Parking vlak aan hotel. Parkering op -3 en van daaruit heb je een uitgang op dit niveau waardoor je direct in de juiste straat uitkomt. Ontbijt was heel goed. Lekker in de zon op dakterras. Alles was aanwezig voor ontbijt en was vers. Zeker zijn geld waard. Personeel super vriendelijk in de bar het hotel. Toen we een kamer vroegen aan andere zijde van het hotel zei de dame: kijk eerst hoe het bevalt en indien teveel geluid: dan verleggen we jullie. Was niet nodig.

Hotel in DE uitgaansbuurt van Basel. Maar wij hadden er op een vrijdagavond geen last van. Dus voor ons geen nadeel.

Accueil parfait, personnel très disponible. L'hôtel est parfaitement placé, proche de la gare (moins de 10 mn à pied) et des musées. Le truc en plus : prêt du sac étanche pour aller se baigner dans le Rhin, un must ! Très jolie chambre et délicieux petit déjeuner. Un sans faute !

Pas d’air conditionné dans les chambre et hôtel situé dans la rue piétonne avec tous les bars de Bâle . Très bruyant la nuit .

Die Zimmer waren sehr stilisch und sehr komfortabel. Der Aufenthaltsraum war auch gut.

Das Frühstück war nicht frisch resp. Früchte und Gemüse. Die Auswahl war aber gut!

Clean and well equipped rooms. Staff was helpful, we could use the winckelfish so that was great.

Rooms face busy street with pubs/restaurants. Although hotel states It has 3 double glazing, if you are noise sensitive I would refrain from staying there in weekend. Also if you are travelling for work.

The Jura coffee machine excellent breakfast friendly staff location but of course the roadworks outside our bedroom window were a disaster as we arrived late and couldn’t sleep

Lipsa aer conditionat ceea ce a facut ca in camera temperatura sa fie de 29 de grade ( 27 iunie 2026), am luat legatura cu personalul hotelului insa nu au oferit nici o alternativa. Nici nu au mai raspuns la mesaje…. Din pacate nu am fost informati de la check-inn despre lipsa aerului conditionat si a climatizarii. Pentru un hotel de 4 stele din Basel, cu preturi mult peste medie, este dezamagitor Mic dejun slabut, fiind vara, fara clima, cu geamuri deschise erau multe muste care zburau in jurul mancarii.
