Reviewed Aug 6, 2026Das SET Hotel (Teufelhof) hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Es liegt in der Basler Altstadt und trotzdem angenehm ruhig. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten, Restaurants und der Rhein sind bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Mein Zimmer bot einen schönen Blick über die Dächer der Altstadt. Besonders gefallen hat mir die kleine Sitzecke in der Dachgaube. Dort konnte ich in Ruhe einen Kaffee trinken oder etwas lesen. Was besonders ist, ist das Konzept des Teufelhofs und der Verbund an Einrichtungen. Die Einnahmen aus Hotel und Gastronomie sollen dazu beitragen, den Theaterbetrieb und Kunstausstellungen zu finanzieren. Diese Idee ist wie ich finde eine gute Idee. Die Atmosphäre des Hauses ist unaufdringlich, aber mit Liebe zum Detail. Danke für die schöne Zeit in Basel.

Beim Frühstück viel auf, dass keine offene und frische Joghurts gab, sondern alles verpackte sowie einzelne PE-Becher ... Viel Müll was eigentlich nicht mehr zeitgemäß ist.......

Reviewed Jul 15, 2026Zimmer war groß genug. Bett war gemütlich. Ich hatte meine Ruhe, obwohl ich auf der Straßenseite war. Personal war immer stets freundlich, ob an der Rezeption oder beim Frühstück. Klimaanlage hat mich in der heißen Wetterphase gerettet. Man konnte das Fenster auch komplett öffnen, um frische Luft zu kriegen. Kühlschrank, Spülbecken, Kaffeemaschine + heißes Wasser und Kaffee verfügbar. Mini Bar ebenfalls, aber mit Aufpreis. Die Lage war top. Innenstadt und Rhein nicht weit entfernt. Bus- une Bahnhaltestelle ebenfalls in der Nähe. Man kommt mit Bahn schnell zum Bahnhof, falls man einen Tagestrip woanders machen möchte.
Frühstück hätte ein bisschen mehr Auswahl haben können für meinen Geschmack. Und der Kühlschrank in meinem Zimmer war am Anschalten zum Kühlen (was ja alle Viertelstunde oder so passiert) extrem laut. Für geräuschempfindliche Menschen furchtbar, wie bei mir 😂 Aber das sind kleine Luxusprobleme und macht nicht den Aufenhalt kaputt.

Reviewed Jun 8, 2026We loved the street and the room which window faced a courtyard with view on trees and bird singing, as well as music from the nearby music academy. The window was totally soundproof. The bed was comfy and the kitchenette was convenient. There was a nespresso machine with a hot water button for tea. The kitchenette is not equipped with dishes but the staff gave us whatever we needed at the reception/café. The staff at the reception were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious! But the best was the shower which was just perfect!!

Leider hatte ich ein Zimmer auf die Strasse und es sassen bis sehr spät Leute auf der Terrasse und sprachen sehr laut: jedes Wort war zu verstehen. Es war störend, so zwischen 23.00 Uhr und 24.00 Uhr in Schlaf zu fallen. Ich schlafe gerne bei offenem Fenster, was schwierig war hierbei.

Reviewed May 17, 2026Die Qualität der zum Frühstück gereichten Speisen war hervorragend, das Angebot hätte evtl. noch etwas vielfältiger sein können. Mein Zimmer war geräumig, das Bett superbequem. Das gesamte Hotelteam war ausnehmend freundlich und zuvorkommend.
Es gibt nichts, was mir nicht gefallen hat.

Reviewed Apr 14, 2026Sehr netter Empfang von der Mitarbeiterin an der Rezeption bei der Ankunft (besonderes Lob!!!). Sehr aufmerksames Personal beim Buffet/Frühstück. Die Ausstattung im Zimmer war gut, es war sauber. Die Lage war hervorragend - relativ ruhig aber doch super zentral!
Man kann über eingeschränkte Menge Geschirr meckern: z.B. kein Wasserkocher (Kaffeemaschine ersetzt den nicht voll) oder kein Topf/keine Pfanne bei vorhandenem E-Herd, dessen Funktion für mich in dem Fall rätselhaft war. Nicht, dass ich das brauchte oder mich irgendwie eingeschränkt fühlte, war aber irgendwie komisch. Die Zufahrt in die Tiefgarage war nicht ganz einfach zu finden, trotz sehr ausführlicher Erklärung - vielleicht war die lange Anreise schuld. Dei Parkplätze sind eng, was angeblich ganz normal für Basel ist. Die Rezeption und das Restaurant sind im anderen Hotel(Teil) auf der anderen Straßenseite - war für mich gar kein Problem, man muss es bloß bei später Anreise etc. beachten.
