La Quinta by Wyndham Oakland - Hayward

Very nice looking property, clean, excellent large room, super comfy bed, just a little bit noisy from Neighbors but no Motel is going to give you total silence. Decent breakfast, could have a little more choices.

The stairway doors were left open and latched so that they could not be closed. I think this was a fire safety issue. The doors remained latched open during our entire stay inspite of reporting the isuue..

Great Hotel! Rooms are nice and clean and spacious. Breakfast is very good with many choices. Above all the Excellent Amazing Staff, Anas, Yousef and Kiro...all professional and courteous. Will surely come back again.

The room is spacious and well stocked with towels and soap, shampoo, lotion. The bed was very comfortable and the room had a mini fridge and coffee maker. It was quiet and very clean. There was an incident where a party was happening in the parking lot with people blasting music and drinking beer, leaning on cars. One call to the front desk and it was handled and dispatched immediately.

There needs to be more than one person at the front desk. Waiting for 15-20 minutes at a time for anything to be done is inefficient and makes the guest feel unappreciated. I arrived at 2pm and the man claimed that no rooms were ready for check in and that I had to wait until 3pm. Yet I noticed 4 people came in after me and were immediately given rooms.

This place is close by the freeway and 15 minutes away from OAK. There are lots restaurants and grocery stores close by. Free parking lot. Good breakfast with 24 hours coffee and tea. Staff are friendly. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. They have a gym and a business center here.

House keeping told us to put the dirty towels outside our room to get clean ones but the clean ones never arrived they just gave my husband one.

It is hard for the staff to monitor the entrances around the building, but some customers tend to leave these doors propped open, which seems unsafe.

The front desk attendant was very kind and understanding. She gets the stars. I'd give her 5 stars if I could. Hotel gets zero stars

I can't do bugs. I don't care if I was at a 5 star hotel if I see one bug, I'm out. Let me be clear on what bug means. Roaches and bedbugs! If I see it I'm leaving that very second. I went to my room and came right back out after seeing bugS. I was not refunded my full amount of $150 but was given $31... I called when the manager was working and left a message. Im still waiting for a return call.

The lobby looks great and the front desk clerk was nice.

The beds were very blown out. I sunk in about 6inches. Seems like permanent residences lived there. Smelled like smoke in the hallways. The walls are paper thin, you can hear everything. I should have complained but I really don’t like too unless I absolutely need too.

I especially want to recognize Fernando, the manager, for his outstanding leadership and exceptional hospitality. He goes above and beyond to ensure guests feel welcomed, valued, and well taken care of. His professionalism and genuine kindness set the tone for an outstanding guest experience. The hotel is always clean, the rooms are spacious and well-maintained, and the location is perfect for both business and leisure travel. The complimentary breakfast is absolutely delicious and one of the highlights of my stay. It’s refreshing to find a hotel that offers such a generous and satisfying breakfast each morning. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to add a few vegan breakfast options. Offering items such as plant-based yogurt, dairy-free milk (oat or almond), vegan butter, vegan breakfast sandwiches or sausage, and other plant-based protein options would make an already excellent breakfast even more inclusive for guests with different dietary needs. Thank you, Fernando, and the entire La Quinta team, for consistently providing such exceptional service. I always look forward to staying here and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Hayward/Oakland area!

I booked my room 2 days ahead and they gave me a room that had pets. I told them I’m allergic to pets and they said if you don’t want it then we’ll do a fully refund and it will take up to 3 to 5 business days for you to get your refund back through the third-party. I was very tired because I’ve been working all day and after I heard that I was very disappointed..

The property was amazing overall for the value. They offer breakfast which helps curb the cost of long stays.

I have stayed at this location multiple times given its proximity to my daughter’s university, and have like my stay until my most recent on 5/15-5/19 where the service was absolutely terrible.

The service was terrible, my room was cancelled even after I was told my room was fine and could wait to check-in even after I repeatedly mentioned my late arrival, my room was super humid & musty, AC was difficult to manage and stayed at one temperature, restroom door wouldn’t close & would have to lift and slam, toilet would not flush, and lastly 2 of my party members left with bed bug rashes!!!!

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent with a great variety of delicious options. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay.

The staff were polite, but the customer service could be more attentive and customer-oriented. A warmer and more proactive approach would make the experience even better.

This could be the cheapest hotel for those looking to spend several days in Sam Francisco without spending much money.

The staff is careless and they constantly oversell their rooms. We got the very last room available the first night and we barely made it because they were about to give our room to another party. That very last room had a strong smell of cigarettes and had what appeared to be a ceiling with water damage and a leak. When we requested to be moved to another room, they told us to come back later, which we did, only to find out that they were sold out again and did not have another room to change us to.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Lorenzo at the front desk makes you feel welcome and willing to go above and beyond.
