Kempinski Cancun was such a lovely experience and it was largely due to our waiter, Osman! We were celebrating my friend’s birthday, and he went out of his way to make sure we had a 100% authentic Yucatán breakfast made specially for us! It was so extremely nice of him to do that and it was incredible. I would come back to this resort just for his service alone. I cannot recommend this resort enough!

I have stayed at this property before when it was the Ritz-Carlton, and I can confidently say that The Kempinski Hotel Cancun has preserved everything that made it special while elevating the experience even further. Every aspect of the resort is nothing short of exquisite. The dining experience is exceptional, with every meal beautifully prepared and presented. The rooms are elegant, spacious, and impeccably maintained. The beds are among the most comfortable I've ever slept in, making it easy to completely relax, and the bathrooms are luxurious, offering everything you need for a spa-like experience. The grounds are absolutely stunning, with beautifully maintained landscaping, breathtaking ocean views, and an atmosphere that feels peaceful and refined. What truly sets The Kempinski apart, however, is its people. The staff is the heart of this resort and the reason our stay became an experience we'll never forget. Every employee we encountered was warm, attentive, professional, and genuinely invested in making our vacation special. They anticipated our needs, offered thoughtful recommendations, paid attention to the smallest details, and consistently went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and happy. You can tell they take great pride in delivering world-class hospitality. Our vacation actually began before we even arrived. Antonio, our concierge, reached out in advance and took care of every detail, including arranging our transportation. His communication was prompt, friendly, and reassuring, making us feel welcomed long before we stepped onto the property. When we landed, Arturo greeted us and provided a comfortable, seamless ride to the hotel, setting the tone for the exceptional service we would experience throughout our stay. Check-in was effortless, allowing us to begin enjoying our vacation immediately. One evening, we had the pleasure of meeting Margarita during turndown service. She transformed a simple evening routine into a thoughtful and memorable experience with her warmth and attention to detail. The Club Lounge was one of our favorite parts of the resort. Aaron, the concierge, was outstanding. He greeted us with a smile every day, offered excellent recommendations, and made us feel like valued guests rather than just visitors. Oscar crafted some of the best cocktails we've had, and every member of the Club Lounge team provided exceptional service that made us look forward to returning each day. At the pool, Edgar was equally wonderful. His cheerful attitude, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality made our days by the water even more enjoyable. In fact, every staff member we encountered—whether at the restaurants, pool, housekeeping, concierge, or throughout the resort—made us feel welcomed and appreciated. I wish I could remember everyone's names because every single person contributed to making this vacation extraordinary. Their kindness, professionalism, and commitment to excellence created an experience that exceeded every expectation. The Kempinski Hotel Cancun is a destination where luxury meets genuine hospitality. It's rare to find a resort that combines beautiful accommodations, exceptional dining, pristine facilities, and a staff that consistently delivers personalized service with such grace and warmth. As a person who has been blessed to have travelled the US and Mexico extensively, I am proud to say the Kempinski Hotel in Cancun is my favorite. What makes it great? The people that work there. It is an amazing experience to share your time on vacation with people that truly care. From years ago when it was the Ritz Carlton until now, the local charm of the people has remained first class. I can go on and on after that…..beach location and cleanliness, the cleanliness of the inside, the amazing food and drinks, the top notch cabanas and the proximity to the airport and local culinary hotspots.

My wife and I just spent five memorable nights at the Kempinski Hotel Cancun. This hotel was previously the Ritz Carlton Cancun. This was our first visit since the hotel changed brands. We had previously been to the Ritz Carlton many times in the past and after this visit we are hoping to return to this hotel many times in the future. The hotel and property have been meticulously maintained as it was in the past. The suite that we were assigned was spotless as well as beautiful. The staff is unmatched in their attentiveness and anticipation of your needs. They make you feel wanted and at home wherever you go on the property. The restaurants at the hotel are the best in Cancun. Fantino is unmatched for service and incredible food. Casitas is a fine choice for more casual dining with an option of having dinner on the beach. The hotel has two beautiful pools and a hot tub along with a lovely large beach where you could rent cabanas for privacy. Stayed with a few of my friends for a trip and everything was incredible. The amenities, location, views, staff- everything was top notch. The staff was extremely kind, intentional, and detail oriented. I was here for my birthday and everyone really went above and beyond to make the trip special. Osman, part of the waitstaff, went above and beyond to make every meal special. He was so kind, funny, personable, incredible at his job, and most importantly a great person. This is our favorite hotel to visit. The beach is beautiful, the staff is amazing and we visit at least 3 times a year. Jorge, Claudia, Joel, Itzel, David, are just a few of the servers who make us feel extra special each time we are here. This hotel was formerly a ritz Carlton-the service is still exceptional and the property is fantastic Highly recommend!

This is our second time visiting Kempinski Cancun for my older daughter’s birthday. She absolutely loved the first time that she requested to stay at this hotel again for her 8th birthday. We are so glad she did because we had an amazing time. The hotel is beautiful, clean and very well-maintained. The food at the hotel restaurants is delicious. We have been fortunate enough to stay at many 5 star hotels and resorts around the world. But what sets Kempinski Cancun apart from the rest of them is the staff. They are incredible. From the moment we got there, the staff made sure my daughter’s birthday was celebrated every day we were there. Frida and the lady in red decorated the room with balloons and had cakes, chocolates and treats delivered to the room every day. Every single staff member went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience. Their attention to detail, friendly demeanor and willingness to help is what makes this a true luxury experience. Seeing some familiar faces on staff from a few years ago was like seeing old friends. The breakfast staff are wonderful. Juan made my younger daughter the most delicious waffles and pancakes every morning. Catalino was a great waiter. Itzel at the outdoor cafe was so sweet. Moises showed us a sea turtle laying eggs on the shore! My girls were so excited. The pool staff are the best…Jorge, Joel, Edgar, Oscar, Mario, Miguel, just to name a few. And last but not least, my friend Miguel at the Concierge desk…he was always smiling and took care of anything we needed. This hotel really felt like home to us and we will definitely be back very soon!

Amazing property with an amazing staff!!

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The facilities were excellent, the room was clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and professional. A special thanks to Mr. Godwill, who made my stay even more enjoyable. He was exceptionally welcoming, attentive, and always willing to help with a warm smile. His professionalism and genuine hospitality truly stood out and made me feel well taken care of throughout my visit. I highly recommend this hotel and sincerely appreciate Mr. Godwill for providing such outstanding service. I look forward to staying here again in the future.

We returned to the place where we spent our honeymoon, for the first time in 24 years. This time it was just a quick day trip from Riviera Maya, where we were staying, and all we ordered was a single drink by the poolside. The hotel’s sign had even changed to a different name. And yet the staff surprised us with such a warm celebration. The sky was just as blue as it was back then, if not bluer, the sea just as turquoise, and the moment every bit as wonderful — if not more!

I would guess that this is the best hotel in Cancun. Beautifully decorated everywhere, wonderfully trained staff, great swimming pools, lots of food options too. Special prase for Ruben, the client services manager who like many of the staff, have worked there for over 20 years.

This was my second Kempinski stay, after visiting the Munich property during Oktoberfest a few years ago, and once again the service was outstanding. The staff are what make this hotel special—friendly, professional, and genuinely focused on creating a great experience. The property features beautiful Mexican sculpture and artwork that gives it a unique, traditional character. We booked through Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts, which added some nice Club Level perks. The pools were crystal clear, and while the beach was experiencing the seasonal sargassum issue we expected, swimming in the sea was still enjoyable with a little extra effort. The food and beverage program felt elevated, and everything I ate was delicious. Despite the staff’s efforts to keep the rooms clean and the property well maintained, the rooms could use a cosmetic refresh, as some of the furniture is showing its age. This is an excellent choice for travelers looking for a refined, quieter alternative to the large all-inclusive resorts, and I would happily return.

These people could teach lessons on how to do luxury customer experience. This was our third stay at this hotel - our second visit since converting from a Ritz to Kempinski. The service across the property was off-the-charts outstanding. If I could rate 6 stars I would. I wish I had made a note of everyone’s name, so I could brag on each of them specifically. It started with the doorman, the front desk staff and the concierge who walked us through our (very fast) check in and accompanied us to our room. With the exception of dinner one evening, we ate every meal at the resort, culminating our last night with dinner on the beach (Casitas.) Moses, our lead waiter, deserves a special thank you for the way he and his team managed our entire evening. I highly recommend booking this beach dinner. Osman, Jose and Orbelin at breakfast each day got our days off to a fantastic and spoiled beginning. Reuben at the concierge desk provided similarly outstanding service. Fantina was fine dining in every sense. The property itself is what you would expect of a very high-end resort. But the people and service is what separates this place, and is why we will be back again next year. (Book the Club Level. You’ll be glad you did.)

hotel is beautiful & the staff are great. The overall experience did not justify the high prices. The rooms are spacious but outdated, particularly the bathrooms. Dining was good but not at the gourmet level expected for the cost, with meals adding significantly to an already expensive stay. Despite the excellent service, we felt the resort was overpriced and would not return.

The resort was overpriced, and I would not return. What was especially disappointing was the additional charge for breakfast. We had already paid for a package that included breakfast, but upon arrival we were told that it only covered the continental breakfast, and anything beyond that required an extra fee. 100$ everyday

Kempinski is truly a 5 Star experience. Everyone is available for any need you may have. Nothing is a problem. Our pool attendant Rangel made sure we were well taken care of every day, setting us up with pillows and umbrellas. He was truly professional and loved his job!! We love this place, which is why we have been coming for the last 13 years.

We had a wonderful stay at Kempinski Cancun! Having previously visited when it was a Ritz-Carlton in 2019, we were pleased to see the hotel has maintained its exceptional standards. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed in the stunning lobby by Migdelia, whose hospitality made us feel instantly at home. We stayed in the Saasil Suite, which features its own private infinity pool—a fantastic choice that meant we rarely needed to visit the main pool. The Club was another highlight, offering five delicious meal presentations daily, making it an outstanding value. Special thanks to Gloria, Aaron, Willie, Saul, and Oscar in the Club for making our stay truly memorable.

Everything was fine, but what made the experience stand out was the service at breakfast. Specifically Rudy and Osman. Very generous and kind people. This would make it worthwhile to come back.

I don’t write many reviews and almost always write one when things are amazing as when they are not I just don’t visit the same place again. I have been visiting this place since 2000 (14 times) back when it was the Ritz Carlton and it has always been amazing!!! I haven’t left a review in the past because most of the reviews are already so good and I didn’t see the value in leaving one. My wife and I are currently here again for a week and today I met Ruben who leads the hospitality team and Nallely who leads the housekeeping team by the pool. After my conversation I felt compelled to leave a review after so many years. First of all the place has always been amazing from the exceptional service, accommodations, food and location. My wife and I have stayed at some of the most well recognized hotels all over the world and always come back here! In Cancun specifically we have stayed at the Waldorf, Banyan Tree, Fairmont , and SLS and we always leave saying the Kempinski is still the best. There is truly nothing like it! Very classic old school elegance (think crystal chandeliers, marble all over and paintings) amazing food , service , in an amazing setting! Meeting Ruben and Nallely today just validated our thoughts even more. They have so much pride in what they do and Ruben is just so passionate about the property and its history. The Kempinski is lucky to have them! While we have ‘liked’ other hotels in Cancun most have what I characterize as ‘contrived’ hospitality. If you have ever been to NYC I would use The Plaza as the best example. You stay at the Plaza for its old school elegance hospitality and service. And it always feels authentic. It’s not the newest modern hotel and it’s the only place I would stay in NYC. Same about the Savoy in London. Classic elegance with amazing service and the only place I would stay in London. If you’re looking for the most elegant hotel in Cancun with the very best service , food and hospitality there is nothing like the Kempinski. This feels more like a family run hotel. If you want loud DJ’s and a non stop crowded party this is not the place.It’s truly a head scratcher why the Kempinski is not more crowded when we visit but we will take advantage of the best kept secret in Cancun while we can! On another note the fine dining restaurants are absolutely some of the very best we have ever visited! Maybe someday people will finally figure out this is the best place to stay. In the meantime my wife and I will enjoy the Kempinski practically all to ourselves!

This was our 2nd stay at The Kempinski. If you want to feel like royalty, I highly suggest this hotel. It is beautiful inside and out. The beach is groomed multiple times a day. the food is exceptional and the staff is wonderful. The restaurants are extraordinary, and there are many options within walking distance as well.

The property overall is outstanding. Very clean, well maintained, luxurious rooms and common areas, and a well groomed private beach and amenities. What sets Kempinski apart is the excellent staff—welcoming and accommodating in every way. Finally, hotel security was discrete but certainly apparent…our entire group of 16 felt safe and well cared for. Five Star accommodations by every measure.

This is a fabulous hotel with impeccable service from arrival to departure. The hotel enjoys an enviable location in the middle of the east-facing hotel zone with a lovely stretch of "private" beach that is cleaned of sargassum several times a day. The beach, unlike those on the north side of the hotel zone, gets some nice waves too and is not crowded at all. The rooms have been nicely updated; the public areas of the hotel, which opened in 1993 as the Ritz Carlton, feel a bit dated in terms of style but has been kept up really well. The gym served my purposes well, with about 20 treadmills, stairmasters, and exercise bikes, plus a good amount of free wights and lifecycle machines. The best part of this hotel, as other reviewers have noted, as that there are lots of beach chairs, both around the pool and on the beach, so that there is no need to rush down at 7 am to secure your spot. This alone is worth the price! Speaking of price, it is worth noting that the food and drinks at the hotel are really expensive. The breakfast buffet costs about $50/day. The food is good and there is pretty good variety, but still... Cocktails cost about $20 each, ceviche out by the pool will run you $25-30, and grilled fish was about $40. Add tax and tip to all of the above. You definitely pay for the convenience! We went out for dinner a couple of times: there are some good seafood restaurants within a 10-minute walk. Overall, though, a great experience, especially in one of the ocean-facing rooms with balconies where you can enjoy your morning coffee and listen to the waves at night. Super relaxing and highly recommended.

Fantastic experience and recommend that you go. I had a great time, service and people are really the best. Unfortunately I had a bad experience in breakfast on last day. The hotel was taken over by Jewish convention. I was seated next to some terrible people with 3 2 year olds screaming and standing in chairs, then proceeded to circle the table screaming. The parents never corrected them and staff did nothing to correct. This is not acceptable , I had just spent 7,000 at the hotel and was very disappointed

The staff were wonderful and accommodating. The rooms were lovely, immaculate, bed was comfortable. The pools were great. Breakfast buffet was varied and good.

While this is a beautiful hotel with wonderful, warm people providing excellent service from room attendants to restaurant servers, the prices are extortianate . The rooms are large but need upgrading especially in the bathrooms where even mildly disabled people are exposed to dangers, and the bedding was quite uncomfortable. The showers have no grab bars and the floors are slippery with old fashioned rubber mats. There is inadequate storage space in either the bathrooms or bedrooms. We had to ask for an additional table lamp as there is insufficient bedside lighting. The television options are dismal, all most all Spanish speaking channels, which is fine but there are guests from all over the world here but few English speaking channels; lots of sports, even WWC wrestling, and kids shows. The restaurants were mostly good but in our opinion not at the gourmet level one would expect with such outrageous prices, I.e. dinner for two with two drinks at the upscale dining rooms, $350. Breakfast and lunches averaged $100 each, so plan on spending around three to four hundred plus dollars a day for meals. Again, could not ask for more warm, hardworking staff and we rewarded them with well deserved generous tips. However this added to a very expensive stay. We are seasoned travelers with no need to scrimp but feel this resort is not worth the price. Would not return.

Nous avons passé une nuit à notre retour avant de prendre l'avion le lendemain. Le check in et check out sont rapides et dignes de l'hôtel (ce qui est loin d'être le cas de la majorité des hôtels au Mexique). L'emplacement est pratique : à côté de l'aéroport (environ 20 minutes) mais sans nuisances et au bord de l'eau avec une eau cristalline magnifique et une belle plage de sable fin. La chambre est spacieuse avec vue sur l'océan. Le lit est confortable. La nourriture est bonne également. Je recommande fortement.

Seul bemol: nous n'avons pas été accueillis à la plage au niveau des transats et nous n'avons pas recu de serviettes de plage, les personnes ne sont pas venues voir si nous souhaitions boire quelque chose et nous nous sommes faits réquisitionner notre espace qui ensuite servait ensuite pour le dîner mais sans aucune forme.

I had no idea what to expect when we booked this hotel, but I am sure glad we did! This hotel is beautiful! The staff are amazing! The amenities top notch! Before you even get to the hotel, you’re greeted by the security staff at the drop gate. With all of the recent worries about violence in Mexico due to cartel retaliation, this one simple security feature was really nice (not that we had anything to worry about.. everything was pretty business as usual in Cancun)! The hotel is FANCY. Decadence on display. With a laid back atmosphere that doesn’t make you feel underdressed when walking around in your flip-flops lol. Once you get to your room level, the central lobby has these Pothos plants that cascade all the way down from top floor to the bottom level. The windows have sunlight spilling through with reflections off of the bay. And the views from the room are stunning! So many shades of blues and greens in the ocean. The breakfast package was a great move, and if you’re lucky enough to be here on a Sunday, the brunch did not disappoint! My girlfriend got a complimentary massage which was advertised as a 30 minute massage but was more like an hour and half spa experience—think steam room, hot tub, outdoor shower, cold plunge and crafting your own drink—than just a simple massage. The staff is awesome and super attentive. They also mix in both Spanish and English if you’re trying to practice your Spanish which we loved, both having minored in Spanish in college. I can’t say enough about this experience—clearly. If you were looking for a great place to stay in Cancun, definitely check out this hotel!

We’ve been coming here for over 20 years—dating back to when it was the Ritz-Carlton—and it somehow keeps getting better while holding onto the warmth and elegance that made us fall in love with it in the first place. This January’s visit meant even more to us because our family had been going through a serious health challenge. The team at the spa—Jade, Yemy, and Theresa—did far more than provide treatments. They gave us space to breathe, heal, and reconnect. Their kindness and care meant more than we could ever properly express. One of the things that makes this hotel so special is the people who turn every moment into something memorable. Maria from room service is always such a joy—gracious, warm, and the kind of person who makes every delivery feel personal. Breakfast each morning is something we look forward to because of Angel, Rocio, Osmon, and Alberto, who greet us like family. And we can’t forget Noe’s incredible omelets and Maria’s tacos, which might honestly be the best way to start a day in Cancun. Out on the beach, Edgar, Joel, Rangel, Claudia and Oscar take impeccable care of guests. The service is effortless, attentive, and always delivered with a smile. Evenings for us almost always end at D-Lounge, where Juan, Blanca and the entire team make it feel like our nightly dinner with friends. The sushi chefs are absolutely killing it, and the atmosphere is warm, lively, and welcoming every single night. Behind the scenes, Leydi in housekeeping keeps our room absolutely perfect—every detail attended to with care. And of course, the welcome we receive from the concierge team Antonio & Rueben at the front desk sets the tone the moment we arrive. Their kindness and genuine hospitality make coming “home” to the Kempinski feel real. Thank you to everyone who made this stay so meaningful. We are already looking forward to coming back. This hotel is 5 stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! My daughter was married recently here at the hotel on March 14th 2026. The staff and service was excellent ! The wedding sight by the pool at the hotel was breathtaking. The hotel is beautiful! I can’t wait to visit Kempinski again. Wonderful experience.❤️

We stayed in three rooms on a multigenerational family trip (ages 1 to 85+) with seaside views. The advantage of the older age of this hotel is that is that the rooms are larger as was the standard back then! We found our seaside suite to be very spacious, with three small balcony spaces to welcome the rising sun over the ocean and refreshing ocean breezes! When travelling with a family, this space is key! The highlight here was the service! The team worked hard to address any hiccups that arose, and were very attentive to ensure that the whole family had a lovely stay! Highlights: - Chef Camilo and Chef Sergio deserve our highest praise! They curated a special vegetarian menu for us to accommodate our lacto-vegetarian diet and my nut allergies! We are foodies and we were pleasantly surprised! This included the included breakfast (in our room rate) and dinner. They checked in to ensure that we were enjoying everything and the selections were delicious! The selection of the breakfast buffet combined with the additional vegetarian options were delightful. - Wilbur at Casitas is the BEST! He was so attentive to us, and so kind and friendly that our toddler would run and jump into his arms every time she saw him! He remembered our seating preferences, preferred orders for the kids (and would get those items out for us right away), and clearly strove to make every dining experience perfect for our family! He is one of the most memorable parts of our stay! - Cabana service on the beach—situated on a beautiful section of white sand beach that is regularly maintained for sargassum, this beach was great for us as a multigenerational family with small kids. There was enough of a wave to make it fun for the kids but a long enough stretch of sand even at high tide that we could feel comfortable not worrying about the kids building sandcastles close to the cabana. -Club lounge is a peaceful haven to retreat to in the afternoons when it’s hot and time to rehydrate :) - We are very grateful to Maria (management) Ruben, Alberto (bell desk) Willie (lounge), Noemi (housekeeping; thank you for tireless tidying up our toddler’s messes!) whose attention to detail made our stay heavenly! We would love to come back and recommend this hotel to other families as well!

Classic elegance. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. But most importantly, the people who work at Kempinski are wonderful! They remember guests, and they make you feel like family. The hospitality provided is exceptional, and I always feel safe there, even when I have traveled alone.

The food was truly outstanding — every meal exceeded expectations, with great variety and quality. The beach is absolutely beautiful, with soft sand and stunning water, making it the perfect place to unwind. Our room was spotless and very well maintained, which made our stay even more comfortable. The attention to cleanliness and detail did not go unnoticed. Overall, it was a fantastic trip and a great experience from start to finish. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing, high-quality getaway in Cancun!

Our stay at the Kempinski Cancun was truly memorable, largely thanks to the exceptional staff. Every team member went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met, paying close attention to even the smallest details and making us feel genuinely cared for throughout our visit. The rooms were updated, clean, and very comfortable—providing a relaxing space to unwind. We were also impressed with the food, which was consistently excellent, offering both quality and variety. One of the highlights of the property is undoubtedly the stunning beach views. While there are some areas of the hotel that could benefit from updates, they did not take away from the overall enjoyment of our stay. The outstanding service, comfortable accommodations, and beautiful setting far outweighed any minor drawbacks. We would gladly return!

Pleasantly surprised by how this hotel was above and beyond for service, pool beach and the staff - everything! Went to the beach one day and the guy knew my name. Beds were comfortable and rooms clean. Food was outstanding - above some other EP hotels. The only thing I feel needs a little more touch is the Club. Nothing like the JW down the street. Work on that and you will be even better!

We’ve been coming here for over a decade and still consider this one of the best spots in Cancun. The service and food is unrivaled.

The hotel is within the hotel zone, it means a sequence of hotels. In order to get into points of interest we had to take our car.

Wir hatten ein Problem mit dem Friseursalon. Ich hatte einen Termin um 15.00 Uhr, weil ich um 16:00 Uhr das Hotel verlassen musste, um zu einer formellen Veranstaltung zu fahren. Leider hat der Salon den Termin nicht respektiert und wollte mich erst um 16:00 Uhr annehmen, obwohl ich die Bestätigung am Tag zuvor bekommen hatte. Ich halte dieses Vorgehen für höchst unseriös.

Our family and I had an incredible stay at Kempinski Cancun to celebrate my Mom's birthday! All of the staff at the hotel are outstanding! Alberto, from the bellman team, was always checking in to make sure we were having a great stay, and he and his entire team would never hesitate to help my parents, including my dad with his mobility issues. The team at El Cafe Mexicano was outstanding, and the breakfast buffet was so delicious, and all of the team members and kitchen staff at the restaurant are so attentive and quick to help and serve, no matter how busy it is. Ruben, from the concierge team, and the entire concierge team has vast knowledge of Cancun and sites and tours to do, and he was our go to guide for setting up so many beautiful dinners at the outstanding restaurants in Cancun. Our driver, Pancho, was so knowledgable about Mayan history and culture, and taught us so much on our tours to Chichen Itza and Tulum, and he was always friendly, on time, and going above and beyond to help us! The hotel beach is so beautiful, and the hotel itself has so many amenities and is so beautifully decorated. However, the highlight and gem of Kempinski Cancun is the amazing staff throughout the resort that will make your vacation memorable! Highly recommend Kempinski Cancun for your hotel stay in Cancun!!

The staff are very hard working and hospitable. The hotel is generally clean. However, the hotel is VERY out of Date. It feels like 2005 and many parts of the hotel are in run down condition, paint peeling other weather damage on the outside. The food was average at best and VERY over priced even for a 4 start hotel in Cancun. The worst part Cancun IS NOT SAFE FOR AMERICANS AND OTHERS. The local cops set up a check point about 3 miles from the hotel, they stop all rental cars and make up charges threatening to take your license if you do not pay them 3,000 Peso. I would never return to this hotel or Cancun. They have to get their act together. Not to mention the Hotel District does not feel like real mexico. Too removed from the local culture. And the main Cancun town is run down and offers little to see or do for tourists. The Pacific Side of Mexico is much better

Amazing service, location, and time. I highly recommend it

One of the best hotels we have stayed in. You can tell it was a Ritz and there is nothing missing. I have stayed at about a half dozen different Ritz hotels and the service and amenities rival those locations. Service and dining (especially the Mediterranean restaurant) are five stars. It was not crowded when we were there so no issues with beach or pool loungers nor dining without reservations.

This was our 5th time at Kempinkski Cancun. It is the best. We love everything about it. The views, the rooms, the pool and the over the top great staff.
