Hotel is under major renovation, complete disaster. This was not listed on Booking so should be mentioned for future customers. I would not stay at this hotel again.
Friendly staff
Rooms are filthy, outdated and smelly.
Nothing
It was under renovation. Was not told
All I can say is just don't. The hotel is undergoing Reno's so we were expecting the lobby to be in a state. Rooms were not as pictured on their website. Everything is really old. Had 2 rooms booked and one of the rooms had mold and mildew growing on the bathroom ceiling. The second room it looks like someone had kicked in the door in the past and they did a shoddy job to fix it and the chain on the door was super loose. They should have just closed the whole hotel until the Reno's were complete. Gross.
The staff
Under renovations
Air stinks due to lumber mill being next door, potholes in parking lot that could swallow small car, outdated appearance inside and out but under Reno’s to modernize
The staff was nice
The property was under renovations which was not told to us. There was no TV available for the 2 days we stayed there and we were told that he "thought the satellite was blown off course" on the roof but it was never fixed. The continental breakfast was over so early and because we traveled from a different time zone (an hour earlier), it may it very hard to make the time they had set. The whole upstairs was getting renovated and it looked TERRIBLE and smelt even worse. The bed was so uncomfortable and old that, even in a king size bed, everytime my partner or I moved, the other could feel it (spring bed i believe). We had to pull the bed out to access the plug in (which were loose in the wall and our cords fell out of) and no one had vacuumed behind the bed in a VERY long time. Just disgusting.
Love it there
All good
Love it there friendly staff
Nothing at all
Hats off to all crew staff
All good
The staff was very friendly treated me like family
It was good location for me for me to access the skidoo trails
The staff was friendly
The hotel is quite dirty. The fan in our bathroom was not functional and covered in a thick layer of dirt and filth and smelled strongly of mold. The room was a fire waiting to happen. The room had extension cord plugged into extension cord to power everything in the room - very scary! Website says they have 2 restaurants and none of them are open.
This was the perfect little gem of Whitecourt! The staff was amazing, the breakfast was delicious, our room was exactly what we needed, great location for heading out of town in the morning.
Comfortable room, friendly staff, and good breakfast. The hotel could use some updates, and there aren’t many dining options nearby, but overall a decent stay for the price.
Comfortable, worth for the money, breakfast and the staff.
Parking area, flooring
The owner, i believe that he was the one at the desk very nice and tries everything to make guest comfortable. We'll i cannot complain as the hotel price is really cheap with breakfast included so really not expecting much.
Breakfast is too limited and it wasn't appealing at all. Hotel needs renovation. I read bad reviews but I say its just for a night
Norhing
The room smelt like pee. They had one room that had sewer back up. This was there excuse.for the smell. I could not stay because of this. Asked for a full refund. They said it would take a week. This is over a month and still no refund. I will NEVER EVERY stay at this hotel. Pay abit more and get a clean smelling room.
フロントの人たちがとても良い人達でした!
Staff were pleasant. Appreciate that they got out a new Keurig when we mentioned the one in our room didn't work.
Breakfast was terrible and nearly inedible, carpeting was ripped/fraying, beds were hard, pillows were very well used
It was okay.
There were not enough plug-ins, there were no safety bars in the bathroom.
Hotel is old and smells. Windows and doors had drafts. Carpet was gross. Do not recommend
Everything
Nothing
It was a nice easy check in, a good hot breakfast in the morning with 3 different options. I'd stay there again
It is very clean and the staff are so great :)
None
Older facility that is being updated.
Musty smell in the hallways and no elevators or ramps.
Very resourceful cost
The closeness to the train trams. No plug ins anywhere. The party in the lounge.
Cleanliness and pricing
The check in process wasn't smooth. The front desk requested a pre-arrival check on paper while I completed it online, wasted my time.
Room was very clean
Clean rooms, comfortable beds, friendly staff
I couldn’t get the hairdryer to work and I forgot to let them know when I checked out.
Very clean, convenient for travelers. The breakfast was amazing!
Clean room, friendly staff, good breakfast
large comfortable room
Only very greasy breakfast options included
Room was gross. Very stinky and we had to leave earlier than planned as I could not breathe. Smelled like cigarette smoke, very musty, old and dark. Having to climb stairs was hard on my knees. Staff were friendly, very uncomfortable with staff bringing out cell phone in order to pay for dinner. Overall we would never stay here again nor recommend this location.

The place was absolutely disgusting.I wouldn't even let my dog stay in there

Not having to stay
Wouldn’t recommend anyone stay here!! We thought it was a safe bet booking the Ramada for our first trip to Whitecourt… the reviews seemed decent..what a lie! Driving up to the property you have to first pass the boarded up, graffiti ridden building in front, and that mixed with the garbage around the Ramada and rundown feeling of the area- should have been a sign! The reception was dark and depressing and the receptionist lacked any kind of enthusiasm for being there. She was however helpful changing our room to be closer to our friend. The room itself- dark and dank. You couldn’t move the curtains to let in any light and even with all the lamps on it was hard to see- I guess that was the point… My wife noticed water stains and issues with the wall, however I was too busy checking that the bed was ok to sleep in- something I do everywhere since working in the hotel industry. It was not.. Firstly there was a big rip down the middle of the mattress that looked like something out of a horror movie (knife/stabbing?), there was blood stains all over one side of the bed, black dirt/stains on all sides of the mattress protector (looks kind of like bug droppings) and there was also body fluids on the bed skirt… the kicker- the massive stain on the bed base that looks like someone actually died… We showed the receptionist the pictures we took (wish we took more) and she didn’t bat an eye- there was no surprise or shock there. She didn’t say much of anything and just refunded us and we got the F out of there ASAP! I don’t know how you can justify making people sleep in these conditions- SHAME ON YOU! We Stayed at the Microtel instead- definitely recommend!
We liked the deal we found through booking.com.
The property is very outdated- which happens, however upon arrival we couldn’t believe the lack of cleanliness regarding the bed we were suppose to sleep on… when showed pictures, the receptionist was no surprised at all- we left right away with a full refund.
Staff was friendly property was clean although a bit dated.
I stayed one night on my way home - just needed a place to stay. Check in was quick and easy. All the staff I met were professional and efficient. Lots of parking. Room was dated but clean and comfortable.
It was ok, the room was a little dark. The breakfast was amazing!
I have stayed here numerous times and enjoyed my stay ever time , the staf are amazing and very friendly, accommodating and inviting the food is great and reasonably price, huge selection . I cant say enough about the place and will be back many times more
Great breakfast was in clouded and the rooms were sound proof so great if your traveling with kids and there's a balcony in the rooms...great if you smoke
I would not recommend staying at this place in whitecourt, the photos that are posted are nothing like when you show up and actually see the place. It is run down and the rooms are not clean/sanitary. Dirt and grim visible as well as tiny beetles crawling on your bed. The manager seemed to turn a blind eye to the fact we found tiny beetles on our bed and did not resolve the issue for us. Please take your money elsewhere if you need a place to stay in whitecourt.
It was just fine
Hotel staff was excellent
Staff were friendly.
Old paint come off few spot. Iron board was really dirty. When I received my BF, there were grease finger frint on the plate. Room has a smell. I had to check the bed bug because place doesn't look clean. I didn't find the bed bud but the metress had a stains ... I won't stay here again. Quality inn is much better with simular price.
I liked the location the staff was excellent they were very accommodating and friendly.
The staff were really helpful and nice to deal with. The place is very dated though and really shows its age. The main thing though is that the bed was worn out and the cleaning was poorly done. There was splatters of dried liquid on different surfaces and the toilet wasn’t well cleaned. You could see it even in just how streaky and poorly cleaned the front door glass was. It’s what you get for $80 though I guess.
Mice Facilities
Too mamy emails. At least 10-12 start to finish
Smell in the room in not that clean, rugs stinks, fridge is not clean there were foods stored and cannot used because of the food there. Front desk are very friendly overall
Reception was very kind and accommodating
good environment and clean
Staff and breakfast
Good motel but tricky to locate
The hotel was affordable and in a good location. A nice breakfast was also provided.
The staff was very helpful in relocating us to a new room after the first one was found to be less than adequate. Apparently, there are rooms available in the renovated portion and there are rooms located in the area yet to be updated.
It was hot water other than that Zero.
The front desk clerk had no idea how to with a person. I stood around for about 15 minutes before anybody came. It was confusing because there was a bell which I rang, but there was also a note saying that they would be right back.... There was also a phone number attached to the note, so it was contradicting. But she literally had no idea how to communicate. She just kept resorting to her devices and failed to connect. Also, she had no idea how to value a person's time. The room was mediocre and the beds old and worn out... Furthermore, the ramadas new computer rated checkout program just screams low budget and zero respect for guests. It's like encouraging you to get out. I've stayed here in the past and it wasn't like this. It's going downhill quickly. Not sure what the change was but it wasn't for the good.
The rest was good
The view from the balcony…
I didn’t really like any of it
There was a smelly smell when you walk in everywhere you go staff were very rude and seemed to have an attitude the beds were not comfy and we had to order breakfast by 9 and only select choices
Got robbed. This place is next to homeless encampments and the trailer park. Buyer beware.
The hotel was very outdated and not nice. Rooms didn’t seem overly clean or smell nice. Surrounding the building is an abandoned building on one side, highway on the other and the river on the other side. Staff was nice and helpful. You get three breakfast options (just different combinations of eggs, toast, hash browns, sausage and pan cakes) which was fine. It was cheap to stay there but the photos defiantly made it look better than it was.
Window screen was broken, no lock on the window and only a screw put in place for safety of the window fully opening- so the window would not open completely, and could have easily been broken into. I took measures into my own hands by blocking the access to the window while I slept. The bathroom sink was backed up, when I washed my hands it would fill the sink and take over 5 minutes to drain. Darker water coming up. I did not feel safe sleeping in this room. I have a video of you would like to review. The room was less expensive on the hotels website than what I paid Expedia. This room was not worth $100.00. I feel ripped off and won’t be using this company again.
Budget friendly. Great breakfast included... made to order. Bed was comfortable. Helpful and cheerful front desk!
Great for your budget. The hotel manager was sincerely friendly and helpful. The Breakfast that is included is individually made to order. Very impressive!
