Provider-sourced guest reviews.
Very nice stay, was happy with my accommodations
Loved the hot tub and pool.
Pit boss could be a little nicer.
I normally don’t write reviews but want to warn others of the stay before they pay the outrageous price for what you get. The air was stuck at 67(multiple maintenance calls, had to wear sweats and requested extra blankets), best room type with view of roof(3rd floor) , no water in bath, shower handle rattled the wall, drawers that don’t close and stale odor.
The bathroom was excellent. The room was good, but needs a TV upgrade and more channels. mainly the elevator, hallways were dirty, and general condition of the hotel is outdated and needs an upgrade.
The TV was outdated. The condition of the hallways and elevator needed deep cleaned.
The rooms are beautiful, clean. The view was beautiful
The service.
I loved the location
The shower had some nastiness in it and none of the drawers or cabinets closed all the way. They swung open and stayed that way.
Nice and clean
No refrigerator in the room. Only 2 restaurants and they closed at 10pm. $200 additional fees that was not disclosed to me at check out. I would like it Refunded back to me.
We tried to check in just 20 min early and they were going to charge a 25 dollar early check in fee for 20 min. Then came back stood in line forever only 2 people working desk. Then they had the nerve to tell one guy his room wasn't ready, after telling us you cant check in early then a room isn't ready at 4 pm.
Check in, the strong smell of smoke in check in area.
Location
Out dated. Needs remodel.
The view. They gave us a room with the best view. That’s the only saving grace.
The room smelled heavily of cigarette smoke! It’s a non-smoking room. And we have our 3-month old with us. Brought this up to them multiple times, and their first and only solution is have someone spray lysol in the room. Which did absolutely NOTHING. Brought this up again and they promised to bring a fan and an ozone sorta thing to eliminate the smell. Neither came, and no action or follow up from them after the lysol spray. We had to buy a freaking air purifier because even for us adults, the smell is terrible! If it’s the vents are the problem, then they have a big problem because our room was in the top floor!!!. Oh and check the coffee machines they have, they never clean that thing. Disgusting. Never again
The location is amazing. The steakhouse was delicious. Best cheesecake ever and it was nice to have a Starbucks on the property! While at the casino we really enjoyed the DJ.
No iron in the room. Had to call twice to get one.
Bally’s was clean and accessible to all major attractions in Lake Tahoe.
N/A
Ballet's and booking.com refused to give me a senior discount. Both companies told me to get discount from the other company. Never got one. Why do customers have to pay to self park?
It’s great clean, my room was perfect nice and spacious!!
It’s great..
The room was a lot bigger than expected and the bathroom is huge!
The staff was great the person at the front desk I believe his name was Alex he was very attentive he smiled he was very welcoming that's a good person to work for your company.
I was surprised there was not a microwave in the room the refrigerator the room did not have a little freezer up on top so I could not freeze my cold packs from my cooler and that would have been really nice just to have a small microwave
No comment but never stay there.
Location was perfect
Arcade for the kids was very small not like they advertised it. Restaurants and Starbucks close too early
I was very disappointed in this hotel. I was dropped off by an uber because our car had broken down on 50 West between Carson city and South Lake Tahoe. My partner stayed with the car. I had 6 pieces of luggage and I got no help so I had to take all that luggage up this large flight of stairs. Who puts stairs at the entrance to a hotel when people have luggage? When I got inside I asked where the luggage carts were. The man told quite rudely that I could not have one so I said how am I getting this luggage to my room? I don’t think he answered me so I went to the front desk to check in. We were doing a tour and presentation with Holiday Inn Vacation Club and they were supposed to pay for the room. I had to text and get Bob (my SO) to send a picture of his drivers license. Then I had to put the room on my credit card. The first I noticed was a sign that said the hot tub was closed. I have fibromyalgia so that was a disappointment because it would have really helped me. Then I wanted to eat because we had left our snacks in the car so I had nothing. I was just going to get something out of the vending machine but they were not operating. The last thing I didn’t like was how far our room was from the elevators, we were the last room in our hallway. It was literally a 1/4 mile from our room to the front desk. I was having mobility issues and tried to rent a scooter but of course they were all loaned out. Then I found the reason I was feeling so out of breath was that I had altitude sickness. This whole weekend was a nightmare!!
The location is fantastic, walking distance from many other casinos, shops and restaurants.
We stayed once before and it was pleasant but this time was different. We went to celebrate a birthday and when we arrived our room was not the cleanest, stains and scuffs all over the walls , the bed skirt has a huge black spot on it, we stripped the entire bed and requested it all be changed. Also, the hot tub was out of order and every hand sanitizer station in the pool and fitness area was empty. Our carpet was also torn and frayed by the windows, not the best experience. Staff was friendly, but seemed unconcerned with our grievances, not sure if we will return to Ballys.
Very clean
Nothing
The bed sheets were stained, the tiny pillows were rock hard, the shower didn’t work properly, the view was over the air conditioning units and no water available in the machines on 3 different floors. Very poor level of overall expectation.
Nearly everything,
Na
To many dogs that weren't service dogs that shouldn't be in a hotel
Nothing
There was no electricity for hours said they would cancke and refund and have not
El aria done está el hotel excelente
Todo excelente
El deposito casi $ 200 de cada cuarto no me lo an devuelto de 3 cuartos
constant beeping by elevators, ice station not close, lake view (not hardly!!),
very limited eateries and they close early, charged for parking, charged for early check-in (1:30 - 3:00pm), smokey smell, too many add-ons (parking, resort fee, taxes, etc).
Property location and the price were great. Del Sol restaurant was delicious and convenient too.
Hotel spa hot tub was closed!! This was one of the amenities we were looking forward to using. Also, the pool closed at 8 PM much too early after eating dinner, to not be able to go use the pool because it’s already closing. Should stay open till at least 10 PM in the summertime when we are there with our family. Pool table game room closed pretty early at 7:30pm as well. Just wished these family friendly activities were open a bit later for the kids as they do not gamble of course!!
Nothing
Staff was rude and found bug in my bathroom. Steam room was not working properly which I was charged $10 per person cause the pool facility jacuzzi was not working.
Ice machine didn't work and like all the hotel Casino's you can't check in until 4pm and we requested a late check out which they denied and it is ridiculous to charge paying guests a additional 25.00 a day to park!!!!
The showers are decent. The casino is decent. The location is decent.
The beds are horrible. The sheets are cheap. The pillows are horrible. They allow animals on the same floors as people who don’t prefer animals so you will wake up to dogs, barking, and howling or you’ll hear them late at night. The staff will make you feel like you are an inconvenience if you ask them to handle the pet issue. The hotel room is not very clean slight damage everywhere. The TV is very outdated. They don’t have a manager on site at all times I requested a call back and still haven’t received one from the manager.
Always good
Dirty grounds. Dead plants weeds homeless doing drugs in bushes
The nice view from our room!
The floor carpets were old.
Hotel Staff was very nice
inside Starbucks the worker was rude
The WiFi was not good. The ac wasn’t the greatest.
Location was good
Breakfast was not there. Room allocated has no clear view of the Lake Tahoe for which I had paid extra. When I complained then I was told that they do not have any other room available. There was no microwave in the room as well. I was told parking in included in the rate whereas it I was charged for it later on.
Everything was fine, the Onsen spa was not up to par I really planned on amenities working here yet they were down and the vibe felt very very 'uncomfortably regulated'
I mentioned above
View of the lake
We arrived at 4:00 pm and had booked a “PremierRoom”. We the got checked in and went to our room. Upon checking beds we found one bed had dirty sheets. We promptly went back down to the front desk and reported it. The lady at the desk said they would take care of it immediately. We left the hotel for an evening of touring the lake and relaxation. We returned around 9:30pm to the same dirty sheets. Back down to the desk to the same lady who stated I will tell them now. It is now 10:30 and no service yet. Don’t be tricked by the flashing lights and music. Definitely not a 3 star hotel. We stayed in a Sure Stay Hotel in Wells Nevada that was operated at a much higher level. For half the price. What a shame to ruin our first Lake Tahoe trip.
Instalaciones limpieza y personal
El check in muy tarde, check out muy temprano
I didn’t have a person come clean my room the entire trip that I stayed.
The bed was not very comfortable: it was squeaky and when my partner would move, the whole bed would shake. The jacuzzi was broken. Unlike last year, we were charged $25 for checking in a half hour before "official" check-in time (which is already a very late check-in time) and $20/night to keep a car. The sub-par room was already too expensive (with taxes, close to $400/night). No premium channels. Terrible coffee. The elevator broke twice while we tried to use it and there was some duct tape holding frayed carpet on the main floor. Very disappointed this time; will look elsewhere next time.
Check-in was fine. The room was ok, It looked like they took down a bunch artwork off the walls, lots of holes and scratched so you can see the plaster. Beds were comfortable. It was nice to have a fridge. The Valet guys were GREAT.
There are NO drawers which is very inconvenient especially when you have lots of clothes when you travel with kids. only ONE trash can in the entire room. The lighting in the bathroom was very low. Walls had lots of holes and scratched on them. Only ONE hook in the bathroom. The TV is probably over 20 years old. I was hoping it would be at least a smart TV so the kids can watch their stuff at night. I hated the fact that the kids had to be out of the pool at 7:50 when the hours are 8-8 and one lifeguard was very short and NOT friendly.
The location was great .
The hot water in the shower was not really hot, the thermostat was not working properly and I had to ask for extra towels on the second day.
The restaurant
The customer service at checkin was subpar.. didn’t explain the extra charges and sounded uneducated at her job. I even opted for the upgrade because it was suggested prior to checkin and there was nothing upgrade whatsoever about the room. We were woken up to housekeeping banging on the walls of the rooms next to us at 8:00 am… and I can go on. The property is not well signed on navigating around the closed off areas. They should not be offering‘upgrades’ when they are not running on the basic minimum…
Perfect location clean rooms
Love the location
Needs upgrade
No water for customers to drink we had to buy our own water. Dust everywhere. Rug was hella dirty.
Atleast free water. No one was answering the front desk every time we called.
Location, size of the room, view.
Terrible front desk staff.
check in is to late, high priced?
Room was very clean, smelled fresh and clean. The bed was comfy but the pillows too squishy. But thats just my personal problem. I forgot my own pillow. The shower is a nice walk in shower. The casino is downstairs, good seafood restaurant called the oyster, you need to try it! and yes I recommend this place.
Nothing, you need a clean comfy room. Stay here.
Great location. Good food and plenty of slots. Met some really nice people while there. The floor service was good and staff was responsive if we had any gaming issues.
Not a lot of drink service after midnight. But that's a personal problem.
I liked that it was close to everything and we were surrounded by great restaurants and shopping.
I was sad that a lot of stuff was closed but I kinda figured that would happen since we came on a weekday.
Stayed here for 3 nights last week. The morning of checkin, I called because I wanted to see about adding a night to our stay, but the phone wasn't working. I tried two more times later in the day, and I made sure I had the correct phone number, but I never got through. During our stay, we tried calling both the front desk and concierge, MULTIPLE times, on various days, but they literally didn't answer a single time. When this happened, I called the main line from my cell, and hold music answered. It stayed that way for 15 MINUTES before I decided to hang up. When my husband and son went down to the front desk instead to request towels and an additional comforter, they asked why they wouldn't answer the phone, and the lady said it was because they are understaffed and can't answer when someone is in front of them. Almost every time I passed by the front desk, there were 2-4 employees, and no customers. When I asked (in person) about adding a night to our stay, they tried to charge over $400, even though that was more than the rest of our stay!!! Then after speaking to a manager, he agreed to let us stay until 2pm instead of 11am (for a little extra) but then the day of checkout we got a call around 12pm to the room, and when I answered the lady said "Umm... I just wanted to let you know your checkout was at 11am." So I had to explain that we were paying to stay until 2pm and it was already approved, and she put me on hold to verify. ALSO, I got told TWICE that the valet parking lot is for valet only. My car was valeted, and it got a notice on it once, and I got told to my face another time. Is there some policy I don't know about regarding going to your own vehicle to get something out or put something in? One guy even asked me how I got into my car, which i did by unlocking it via my phone. I'm allowed to go to my car when I want, wth.
Locations to all the casino near by ..
I didn’t like the hotel very outdated the toilet very old inside the room feel very uncomfortable… I will never be at ballys ever again very outdated!!!! Noooooo!!!! the elevator was very slow took me almost 20 min.
Nothing.
Anything.
The location
No one picks up the phone at the front desk. Managers never Available They tried to charge me multiple times for the total after the total was paid
Casino floor. View from the room.
A/c in room was awful. Had to pay for parking.
Location was good, rooms are nice and comfortable, pool is fun for kids with also little arcade and $5 game room.
Despite 3 night stay, did not get room serviced or cleaned even after a phone call asking to be cleaned. But they brought blanket or new towels within 15 min of being asked.
Si
Q cuando les pedí q limpiaran no lo isieron
El cuarto no estaba aspirado tenía bolas de pelo Tenía pedazos de basuras pequeñas Y el cuarto olía mal aunque estuviera el aire acondicionado prendido
Cool room. Nice showers, big and roomie.
Smoke smell, dirty carpet, hot 1rst level, charges for parking, expensive food and to far for from room to parking.
Fine
They did not have microwaves and would not heat up food even though they said they could. The door locks were running out battery.
Bed was comfortable. Shower was very roomy.
You staff at check-in were outstanding. Cam (sp?) from VIP checked us in. She was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. A true asset for your company.
The rooms are in desperate need of upgrading. Carpets in hallways are torn and have duct tape holding the seams together. The rooms are tired and the furnishings should be replaced. The front of your building needs the planters have the weeds pulled and plants added. Also get the fountains working. This property use to look very welcoming, well not so much any more. The Event Center next door looks great, then there is your building that looks terrible. Not being mean spirited, just being honest.
Loved the pool and spa. 19.99 prime rib dinner was amazing.
My friend got an insect bite on her face. I had two on my left chest that are still bothering me.
Einwandfreies Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, komfortables Valet-parking

Cleanliness. Spacious! Very comfortable.
Room was very hot fan was set to 75’ degrees.Could not control thermostat. Asked front desk if fan can be adjusted to cooler setting and was immediately adjusted. Thank you for the quick response:)
Clean rooms and excellent service
No free agua in rooms or microwave
Price for the size of the room
Our room wasn’t cleaned properly (dried spaghetti on the carpet) and valet lost our truck keys for a while.
Location was great and staff very friendly and professional.
Rooms and decor average.
Was not kept up well room had paint missing everywhere and I had to plug holes it the walls with bits of paper
General upkeep
It was a clean room and your staff made the vacation better. One lady was from my hometown and we talked awhile.
Resort and parking fees
Nobody in the casino Sunday to wensday
Restaurant nobody in the casino all three days
The bathroom was wonderful and the pool was tranquil, so are the rooms.
Would be great to have better air ventilation, the entire building smelled like cigarette in the mornings and through the day the only time it had not smelled like this was in the evening, but luckily my friend and I were out most of the time during our stay, and would only come back if we needed something from our room.

The location.
Very warm all around hotel. Especially in the rooms.
Everything was nice. Hotel is located in a excellent spot. Hotel is a little old.
Close to the strip. I thought they remodeled the building? Nothing about this hotel was remodeled.
It smelled. Elevators were smelly. Lights were broken. Room reeked of moldy smell. Staff was rude. Spa area was dirty too and ac wasn’t working so it smelled. I don’t understand I thought they fixed this hotel and completely remodeled it. The only thing changed was its name. They really need to do some deep cleaning and remodel everything. I felt disgusting staying there.
It was convenient to stay there to attend a comedy show at Tahoe Blue event center. Parking was $10 less as a quest of the hotel/casino. Beds were comfortable.
We stayed midweek on a Wednesday and Thursday night. Everything was closed!!! The gift shops weren't open, the Starbucks closed early, the pool closed early around 8p or 9p. There weren't many waitresses on the gambling floor to service everyone so we were rarely offered drinks.
The room wa a good size, with nice amenities. The lake view was amazing and the pool/gym were also nice.9
Convenient location, few tourists, easy parking .
Charging $20 for parking seems unreasonable.
How convenient it was
Our room
The location was excellent. We attended a concert at Blue Tahoe in Stateline NV and we had a very short walk to the venue. Other restaurants were within walking distance. The room was comfortable and did not smell of cigarette smoke.
The front desk was very lightly staffed with many hundreds of guests checking in on a Friday afternoon. The check in location was connected to the casino and the secondhand cigarette smoke was very bad.
All Good
The value for the stay.
Somebody with knocking on my door at eight o'clock in the morning on the day of my departure , then they opened the door without announcing who they were. I was half asleep and I didn't feel safe. Then trying to follow sleep again was difficult.
