Schönes Hotel mit direktem Zugang zum Lake Tahoe und schönem Golfplatz
Die arroganten Mitarbeiter am Empfang. Ansonsten waren alle Angestellten freundlich und nett
Beautiful resort right ion the lake shore with a nice beach and Great pool. Lovely restaurants (we had dinner at two of them, both great) and even more lively personnel, from facility entrance to room keeping, welcome desk pool, shops and restaurants. Yoga on the lawn in the morning was just amazing, as well as the morning healthy bites and juices.
Beautiful location, with one of the best lakefront, maybe the best in Tahoe. Great restaurant the Edge with beautiful views. Excellent service, beautiful eco design. Outdoor fire pits to hang out in evening and stargaze. Beautifully landscaped grounds and a golf course.
Not quite able to handle its own deserved popularity, reflected in waiting time and availability at check in / out, dinner and spa that dampen the property potential standing. Standard very late check-in coupled with very early check-out. Spa treatments with little availability and get booked very early. Single plunge family pool, but it is not so much an issue in summer given the lake is right here for swimming.
The entire property is beautiful…inside and out. High end accommodations and the lake views are stunning. Every staff member was friendly and helpful. They all made us feel very welcome
Nothing in or around Lake Tahoe capture the essence and beauty of this lake and surrounding area like the Edgewood Tahoe Resort. The beauty of the property blends perfectly with the lake and scenery that makes Lake Tahoe so special. Couple that with the service, hospitality and quality of your stay at the resort and you have a magical experience that will draw you back, again and again.
The building work which I was told would not effect my stay, is next to the pool and beach, meaning the tranquil break I hoped for was not achieved. I have raised my dissatisfaction and keep having to chase for a reply. Very poor customer service on top of a bad experience.
We enjoyed our stay at Edgewood in August 2026, and we were very pleased and impressed by the property, amenities, and service throughout the resort. Everything felt on par to a Four Seasons or Ritz-Carlton experience. As two very seasoned travelers, nearly everything about Edgewood was perfect and as expected given the outstanding reviews, price point, and reputation. We immediately said upon arrival, "this could be our new annual summer vacation!" We will be very eager to return…only once Edgewood installs an adults-only pool. For a resort and property of this caliber and price point, it was a major disappointment - not only having the single pool - but given the lack of care by the other guests and their children, and seemingly nothing the resort could do to enforce better behavior. We do not typically spend hours by the pool when we travel – but even attempting 20 or 30 minutes every day during our stay (which did not even include weekends) was unbearable given the amount of people, and especially children. Your website and social media did not give an impression of a "family" resort; and in fact, after following Edgewood Instagram over the last several months in anticipation of this trip, the image and style you show on your profile gives a very sophisticated and pleasurable adult-friendly impression. At a minimum, we highly recommend instilling an adult-only hour, like 3-4PM or 4-5 PM, every day. We would not recommend Edgewood to couples or anyone traveling without children (and in fact, not only not recommend, but we would recommend against) merely because of the pool situation. Additionally, as the resort is valet-only, we also recommend better service and process for retrieving vehicles. Multiple times upon calling down to request our car, the valet number rang several times without pick up, for the call to be transferred to the front desk. On one particular occasion, we waited for our car for 30 minutes, during a non-peak time.
Beautiful hotel - but very unpleasant building works underway, which means the pool and beach are redundant for a peaceful break.
unpleasant building works underway, which means the pool and beach are redundant for a peaceful break. I was advised the building works would big effect my stay, not at all true. I have expressed my dissatisfaction that I most certainly did not get what I bought.
This hotel claims to be a five star hotel. However, it is really really far from it. Having traveled the world and state that real-five star hotels. This hotel has no clue about what service means. They are incapable of getting the Internet to work in your room, which even the best western can achieve their incapable to understand that they are charging the box that they are charging because they’re supposed to be able to keep the fire pits running after 11 PM . The check-in is a disaster. .. then need to hire people who understand what a 5 star hotel men’s or they would just fine as a 3-4 hotel. And 4 stars is a real push since the New Edge restaurant is killing it. Also, they claim to be pet friendly but they aren’t. I regret I haven’t come back to the Ritz.
Edgewood Tahoe is a beautiful resort, and overall, we had an amazing stay. The location is spectacular, the property is stunning, and our rooms were wonderful. However, a few aspects could have been better. Given the significant amount we paid for two rooms, we were disappointed that a late checkout could not be accommodated. We understand that availability may not always allow it, but the way the request was handled felt unnecessarily harsh. The front desk employee with glasses responded, “We don’t do late checkouts for anyone,” in a tone that came across as dismissive and rude. A more professional and courteous response—perhaps offering to check availability or simply explaining the policy politely—would have made a big difference. Guests should not be made to feel unimportant, especially at a resort of this caliber. The pillows were also extremely uncomfortable. Most luxury hotels provide a choice of softer and firmer pillows, but the ones in our rooms made it difficult to sleep comfortably. Despite these issues, we truly enjoyed the resort and its incredible setting. With warmer front-desk service and better pillow options, the experience could have been exceptional from beginning to end.
From the amenities, the staff, and the accommodations, this is undoubtedly a perfect destination for a romantic couples retreat! We would return in a heartbeat!
Exceptional stay and possibly the best resort we have stayed at. The service was outstanding. The place was immaculate. Being right in the lake was amazing. The pool was wonderful. we loved the amenities. The food was a 10/10. Loved loved loved the wedge salad, shrimp cocktail, scallops at The Bistro. All restaurants were wonderful. Loved having the cafe to grab a Cappuccino in the morning. There was a snore station every evening that was amazing. The stay exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend booking.
We travelled around the lake and stayed at different locations and hotels, but THIS was hands down the best place we stayed. Absolutely impeccable location and service!
THE BEST GIRLS TRIP!!! Couldn't recommend more. Fabulous views, delicious food, attentive service. The Villas were worth every penny. Highly recommend!!
This space was incredibly relaxing and hospitable. Arguably the most hospitable and down to earth resort we've ever been to. The views were soul moving, the vibe took work stress from a high level all the way down to a 1. The transportation was SO convenient and when they said on demand, they mean it... not 6-15 mins later like some resorts promise. Every staff member was so knowledgeable about the area and so helpful. We will DEF be back in another season or for another round!
Great property, great wait staff, great dining options. You can tell when people care about their jobs, employees cared.
Nice resort on the Nevada side Lake Tahoe. Great private beach and activities. Great bistro restaurant. Pool gets really busy and is small. Check out staff could use some additional training.
Over-the-top experience at Edgewood. The elegant and luxurious resort was immaculate! So many places to sit and take in all of the beauty around us- the lake, the mountains, the pristine grounds. The fire features to sit around really created special moments and were nice places to relax and rejuvenate. The golfing experience was unmatched- the incredible views and huge trees made it so magical. A trip to remember. A place to visit again:)
Staff was beyond helpful and service was amazing. The grounds were beautiful including the pool, private beach area and outside fire pits. Restaurant provided great service and food/drinks. The stay was wonderful. 10/10!
Edgewood is a beautiful property on the lake in Tahoe. From the rooms, to dining options, and the 4th of July activities, it was perfect!
Clean, comfortable, and friendly staff. Also, a shuttle is available, free of charge.

You can never really go wrong with a stay at Edgewood. We went for a 2 night girl friend getaway to relax and it was just that, yes, it's definately a splurge. It's the perfect luxury getaway in South Lake Tahoe. It feels miles away from the hustle and bustle of the local casino scene but it's all there for entertainment and dining when needed. Excellent food and service at the resort. Make sure you stay in a lake view room to get the full experience.

We came to Tahoe for vacation. We booked the Brooks Grill and paid 500 dollars for the 4th of July dinner package so we could have a place to watch the fireworks. I also booked a spa appointment and paid 1200 for that. We asked multiple People at the hotel where we could Watch the fireworks and they said anywhere on the grounds of the hotel. We specifically asked about the beach in front of brooks grill and the staff said yes. After we had placed our blanket near the beach outside of brooks restaurant and had been laying there for an hour and 1/2 waiting on the sun to set and fireworks to start we were run off by hotel security and made to sit in a Designated area with 50 other people. We would have never come here and spent this money if we knew we were going to be hearded like cattle. Also, after arriving at 9:30 am and being locked into spa appointments we couldn’t cancel, and having 5:30 dinner reservation which we paid 500 for in order to enjoy fireworks, we were told if we didn’t leave by 3:30 pm, that we would be charged 200 dollars for parking. This place was an absolute rip off and money grab. They rope you in and once you are committed and have paid, they then change the rules. Do not come here. It is incredibly disappointing.
Prior to our arrival, I requested the possibility of an early check in. When we arrived we were told that this wasn’t possible. There wasn’t a room that we could get changed in and so it felt like it was expected that we open our 6 bags in the hotel lobby (very demeaning). We were then told we couldn’t use the pool whilst waiting for our room to be ready because that was for ‘hotel guests’ only!!! Concierge prior to our arrival had been particularly helpful, there was a bum steer on one of the activities (location of the bike rental place was incorrect both times). The night prior to our departure, I checked that our car was confirmed to take us to the airport at 4am. Sadly no car showed up and so I was left to book my own uber at 4am this morning and am writing this review enroute, hoping we make our flight. I am not very impressed overall. The rooms and location are good but the procedures seem to get in the way of the guest experience.
The physical location of Edgewood in Lake Tahoe is undeniably stunning. I must commend the bell service team, who were wonderful, as well as the great girls working at the coffee bar. Sadly, these few bright spots were completely overshadowed by how poorly the rest of the stay went. The overall hospitality is practically nonexistent. The core of the issue seems to stem from management. Employees are not trained and the level of service is laughable for a place that charges an unbelievable amount of money. During our stay, I experienced a significant billing issue where I was charged for a room that should have been on another account. I can see the charge on my statement but the front office manager claimed they couldn't see the charge and essentially telling me "tough luck." Additionally, the dining situation was incredibly frustrating. We had called for a dinner reservation at the restaurant by the clubhouse and was told that we could quickly walk over and grab a table. It would maybe be a 30 min wait. We quickly arrived per their instructions, but when we checked in they told a completely different story, letting us know that they were fully booked for the whole evening. With no dinner reservations available, the staff was entirely dismissive, offering no local alternatives or solutions and telling us to figure it out ourselves when tables were empty and available. We saw more managers walking around not helping which added to our frustration. It is a shame that such a beautiful property with a few great frontline workers is ruined by such rude, unhelpful management. I cannot recommend staying here until they drastically overhaul their customer service.
This was our second stay at Edgewood and we came back for a reason. The property is simply one of the most beautiful resort settings you will find anywhere. Sitting right on Lake Tahoe with manicured grounds, a gorgeous pool and hot tub, beach chairs with beverage service, a grassy lakeside field with morning yoga and lawn games, and mountain views that don't quit, the place is visually stunning from every angle. Our first visit we stayed in a Tahoe King overlooking the mountains and valet area. This time we upgraded to the Tahoe King Lakefront and both rooms delivered. Well appointed, beautifully finished, spotlessly clean with daily housekeeping, and so well insulated you would never know you had neighbors. The showers deserve their own shoutout: spacious, great pressure, the kind you don't want to leave. Dining is a genuine highlight. The Edge restaurant is fine dining done right. Ask for Tyler, who is among the best servers either of us has encountered anywhere. The crudo was a standout dish. The Bistro covers breakfast, lunch, and dinner and doesn't disappoint at any daypart. We also did in-room dining one evening and it held up. The little touches matter here too. A nightly s'mores station, live music on our last evening that really elevated the ambiance, beach and pool beverage service, and boat, paddleboard, and kayak rentals if you want to get out on the water. A few things worth knowing before you book. The beds are not up to the standard the rest of the property sets, a real miss at this price point. There is a refrigerator in the room but no minibar, which feels like an oversight for a resort of this caliber. The $50 per night parking fee is lame given what rooms cost here and should simply be included. Outside of the restaurant staff, who are uniformly excellent, service across the property is inconsistent. Valet, front desk, and pool attendants could all use more training, more enthusiasm, or a little bit of both. It stands out because the rest of the experience is so polished. This resort is genuinely ideal for golfers. We overheard rave reviews about the course all week. It is also wonderful for families with kids who will have an absolute blast at the pool and on the lake. Couples traveling without children should know the pool scene is very family forward. An adults only pool option would go a long way. On price, we could have spent a week at a five star resort in Mexico for what four nights here costs. It is expensive by any measure. But the property is special enough that we keep coming back, and we will likely be back again. 4 out of 5 stars. Beautiful, memorable, imperfect and worth it.
Our travel agent booked this hotel. Due to our arrival time, he ask for an early check in. We got to the hotel at 12:00, checked in w/o rooms, then ate an egregiously over priced lunch. You would have thought that they would have made the cleaning of our room a priority (this REPEATS). We left the hotel and came back at 3:00 PM. The room is not ready (REPEATS). We sit in the Lobby until after 5:00 pm, when we finally get our room. Apparently 4:00 PM is the early check in time and is just a suggested time. If you book here, you should not expect to get your room until after 5 PM and you should plan on 6 PM to be safe. They did nothing for us for jerking us around and they couldn’t care less. We will make our travel agent aware that all his clients can expect this type of service. After checking in, get out your wallet. Everything in this hotel is basically double what it should cost.
It’s definitely got a 5 star price tag with none of the accompanying amenities. I’ve been watching the same dirt on the floor since we checked in…they half heartedly clean the rooms…the valets move at a turtles pace, no one seems to know the basics of customer service. Despite the tag they hang in the car, they ask if we are checking in everytime we pull up. Don’t plan on using the pool either…it’s full of kids throwing balls. If you thought you’d lay on the beach…good luck finding a cushion for the chairs. Everything you want/need is an additional cost…all of the staff seems to be in training. And morning coffee😂 1 girl working the entire place for a line that wraps around the counter. The need to revamp the entire place honestly and I’m guessing it needs to start with the lack of management. This is definitely a one time visit
I could not have imagined a better spot on the lake with gorgeous views, sunsets, staff, drinks, food, and the whole experience!
Location was absolutely fabulous,we would definitely visit many more times.
It was hard to sit under the sun till sunset so I will appreciate if the team comes up with some great ideas. Also it would be great if you can add pickle ball court.
Beautiful property. Very mediocre expensive food and staff not helpful and sometimes rude. We loved Tahoe and would actually stay at the resort again but would not eat there and would not bother asking for concierge help. As an aside I have never written a review on Trip advisor but this experience really needs to be addressed.
I went to Edgewood with my wife and I and three other couples. Purpose was a luxury golf trip with the boys where our wives would enjoy the property. We were blown away with the resort, setting and the golf course. I could not recommend it more. On our last day we were going through withdrawals of leaving and not playing that course again.
The hotel was stunning with good amenities and responsive staff, BUT I feel incredibly let down with our stay. I notified multiple front desk staff (both when booking and during our stay) that we were coming for our wedding and were to be married on May 30. I specifically asked for a cleaned room at a specific time and a romantic turndown. I was told no problem and that they had that request. Upon arrival, they thought we were here for our honeymoon and had a card for that in our room. I reiterated twice regarding the cleaning and romantic turndown for the wedding day/night. The front desk seemed frustrated and said “yes we have that noted”. We came back from our wedding and while the room was clean, there was no romantic turndown. After saying something to the bell hop, he said he would let the front desk know. We hear nothing for 45 minutes. We reach out ourselves only to be told that the concierge would be who we should have spoken to and that they were gone for the night. After reiterating this request 4+ times, SOMEONE should have told me to talk to concierge before it was too late. For such an expensive luxury resort, I expected better. We were let down on one of the most important days of our lives.
The location is second to none—absolutely gorgeous. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance of being upscale without feeling pretentious. Throughout our stay, the staff were incredibly friendly and eager to please, and the rooms were nothing short of exceptional. With top-notch amenities, fantastic on-site restaurants, and a highly convenient two-mile complimentary shuttle service, every detail was covered. To top it all off, the property features one of the nicest golf courses I have ever played. We will definitely be back!
The hotel was stunningly beautiful, and the property was immaculate. Everything about the hotel was top-notch. However, the staff was absolutely terrible, and that’s the only reason I’m giving them a three-star rating. From the moment we started our booking with the consignor team, they were completely unresponsive to our calls and emails. It took less than half an hour before we finally got in touch with the manager. We were one of five families, and the same terrible experience was shared by all five of us. The chef refused to prepare food for 17 people, including eight children. We had to resort to ordering DoorDash to feed our kids at a high-end resort because the chef simply refused us due to the large number of people. To make matters worse, a staff member even tried to stop us from eating because it was against the hotel’s policy. But when the hotel refused to feed us, we had to make other accommodations. To top it off, we had just bought bottles of wine at the bar and were enjoying them by the fire when the same staff member came out after harassing us about DoorDash. He only questioned us about where we got our alcohol from.
Its such a beautiful place.
I had a bad experience with the sauna out by the lake. The lack of preparation was sad. If your not going to do something we'll, your better off not doing it.
The experience at Edgewood was amazing. As someone mentioned to us it's like Disneyland for people who like the outdoors. The pool, hot tub, beach, fire pits, food, rooms, spa and everything else was amazing. The concierge was super helpful with our questions pre-arrival and during our stay. The food was great and the s'mores at night was a perfect treat before winding down for the night. It also allowed us to connect with other guests around the fire and met folks from around the country. The staff were all very friendly and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great. We are already making plans to return soon!
Edgewood is our favorite getaway. The beautifully maintained grounds, exquisite location on Lake Tahoe, and amazing staff make it a must visit destination.
Lake Tahoe The Edgewood Lodge at Tahoe is the best highly recommended over any place in the area. We will definitely be back.
Nice view and nice service, recommend you to have an trip experience with your friends or family to this hotel. For the Golf Club, may be need to be improved to for the internal communication as I have the gap is obvisous.
We had a truly fantastic experience at the Edgewood Tahoe Resort. Everything from the room to the view to the dining and pool experience was top notch. Check in with a champagne toast and check out with a quick and accurate accounting was a blessing. The transportation available was so convenient and used after the concierge spent a good half hour with us providing information and recommendations - thank you so much for that! We were at the resort for a private family event and the staff was kind and supportive helping make our event a success. Thank you so much to everyone at the Edgewood for their professionalism, courtesy and excellent service!
Beautiful location-just stunning. The facilities are top notch. Beautiful common areas, pool etc. Restaurants and food are excellent. Spa was amazing. I had 2 group evening events during planned my stay and both were excellent. Quality of staff and service is outstanding. A 10/10 property.
We had a fantastic stay at Edgewood Tahoe Resort. The location is outstanding — directly on the lake and surrounded by the golf course, very peaceful and high quality. The rooms are top class, spacious and beautifully designed. Facilities are excellent: great gym, hot pool, sauna, and overall very well maintained. Everything feels clean, organized, and on a high level. We stayed as a family with my wife and daughter and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The restaurant is also very good, nice setting and service. Overall, one of the best resorts we’ve stayed in — we will definitely come back.
Stunning property and views! Incredible, friendly service at every turn. The rooms are beautifully appointed as well. I can't wait to go back!
My birthday weekend turned into something truly special, thanks entirely to the staff at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, every single person I encountered made me feel celebrated and cared for. The bellman greeted me with genuine warmth and made sure I felt welcomed right at the door. The front desk team was attentive and personable, taking the time to make my check-in feel like the start of something memorable rather than just a routine transaction. Room service servers went out of their way to add thoughtful touches to every meal, and the housekeeping team kept everything immaculate while always greeting me with a smile. What stood out wasn't any one grand gesture, but the consistency of care across every department. It's clear this team takes real pride in what they do, and they genuinely want their guests to have a wonderful experience. Each person added something to the weekend, and together they turned a simple birthday getaway into a celebration I won't forget. If you're looking for a place where the people behind the scenes make all the difference, this is it. Thank you to the entire staff for making my birthday so special.
Construction quality and location
Hotel empty: asked to have a room with lake view: answer: at midnight: no we don’t do is a different rate. Front desk very uncomfortable. They try to let me pay 50$ for parking, I don’t have a car in US…. They apply 55$ of resort fee : there is no amenities: pool outside 🥶 -2degree , the spa: you have to pay: so no amenities that can allowed to ask resort fees. The room cost 650$…….. In the morning at 10:00 request to have laundry of 4pc.: aaa sorry no we can’t you had to tell one hour ago. There isn’t a place where to have a desk for computer or business meeting. A lot of work in the hotel but the rate was the same. Very disappointing experience in a Beautyful place.
Can’t say enough good things about this place. We absolutely loved it. It felt luxurious, the property was beautiful with a beautiful view of the lake where we made a snow man. They had a lot of included amenities like s’mores night, snow shoeing that were so much fun. A truly luxurious resort in Tahoe that I would book if you are considering it. We skiied most days and having the ski butlers there and the shuttles always on hand to take us to the gondola was great. Having the drivers made a difference and what I will say was the staff at this resort was excellent. Everyone was super friendly and helpful going above and beyond. 10/10
All the facilities were amazing.
Nothing
Beautiful resort. The common areas are second to none. Food and beverage is top notch. Friendly, professional staff. Room rates are too high though for what you get. Location, location, location.
I recently had the pleasure of staying one night at the Edgewood resort. I am fortunate enough to live 40 minutes away from this lovely resort. The views were amazing from the Bistro and my hotel room. I highly recommend booking a room with a lake view. The staff at the check in desk were very friendly and provided a complimentary glass of champagne. The rooms were tastefully decorated with a gorgeous bathroom with top notch toiletries. I did not have a chance to use the complimentary shuttle to the shopping village but will try it next time. Wonderful place for single travelers or couples to unwind from stress. Worth every penny for the quality of the experience in unforgettable surroundings.
10/10 recommend this gorgeous place. Check in was easy. Walking into the lobby and seeing views of the lake took my breath away. I wish the room had more storage space for winter gear etc. Bedding and linen were great just wished for premium pillows. Staff was above accommodating especially Doug in the Edge restaurant and bar. Shuttle service to Heavenly was quick and convenient. This is such a special place. I’m thinking of bringing my family back to celebrate Christmas!
Edgewood Tahoe is a fabulously run family luxury resort hotel with all the amenities one could ask for. The lake views, access to skiing, restaurants and the casinos and first class service in wonderful rooms makes this a hotel we return to year in and year out. The onsite restaurants are fabulous as is the Spa. We just love the Edgewood!
I’m leaving the resort after a business retreat. While everyone agrees that the setting is idyllic and the lobby magnificent, there seem to be contradictory opinions about the service and possibly the rooms. Here’s my take. The service was exceptional from start to finish. I telephoned Craig at the front desk before arriving and he was amazing at accommodating my request. The service at check in, housekeeping, in the restaurants, shuttles, the spa (beautiful facilities) and the meeting support staff were all of a high caliber seldom seen anywhere. OMG, they even have turn down as the routine. This wasn’t just my opinion, but that of my colleagues. They similarly agreed that the rooms were large, pretty, and a soothing haven. I’ve stayed at many different lodges in Tahoe and this one is the only one that I am certain to book on a return. I will undoubtedly run into one of my colleagues from work if I do.
Good property, but service was really poor. Food options for vegetarians are almost non existent. Won’t be returning.
Poorly trained management staff. Felt bullied. Room and disrepair. Would not return……………………………………………………………………..
Wonderful place, good kitchen.
The room was a bit small.
Wonderful location with beautiful views Great food great service Massage wonderful Nice bed Clean Plan to go back in the future
Всё было замечательно!!! Реальность превзошла ожидания!!! Рекомендую на 100°%
So amazing all the way around! Cannot recommend enough!! My partner and I got engaged on this trip and they made it so perfect! Between the room, the cleanliness of the grounds and daily room upkeep, the robes, bubble bath, choc covered strawberries, all the food, pool, views, and the AMAZING staff, this place is 10/10. Angela was our concierge and we cannot recommend and thank her enough!!
Nice hotel, beautiful grounds and cozy rooms. Service and communication could use some work. Please update your website to provide clear guidance on shuttles to Cal Lodge to eliminate confusion. Room service was very sub-par for the cost. Whatever you do, if you have kids do not order the hot chocolate. You will be requesting a refund.
We stayed in a 3 BR villa and the best part of our stay was the villa concierge you get, Linda. The villa is gorgeous. You actually have a mini kitchen which is so convenient. Excellent in room coffee which consists of beans, a grinder and machine with a timer. You also get unlimited smores but they are very low quality and we did not enjoy them. We had several issues while there including poor food service (but good food) and a too hot room, but everything got taken care of. I really want to give 5 "circles" but I can't. Maybe next time. I think they are working things out. We will return. It is gorgeous, and Edge Restaurant is a must!
Beautiful views, relaxing vibes, amazing staff. We had an incredible weekend and cant wait to return! Walks along the beach, great drinks, delicious food, helpful staff.
Everything. Best hotel in Tahoe Location, cleanliness, staff, amenities Large room
The trip ended too quickly. 3 days was not enough
We were shocked by the lack of luxury at Edgewood Tahoe. While the common areas are beautiful, the guest experience and room quality are closer to a 3-star level. The room amenities were significantly outdated (early 2000s decor) and lacked basic comfort. Our mattress was lumpy, and the towels were incredibly rough—comparable to sandpaper. Furthermore, for a luxury resort, seeing cheap plastic soap dispensers screwed into the shower walls like a budget gym was disappointing. The biggest issue, however, was the staff training. We were initially placed in a room with non-functional USB ports and no complimentary water. That night, we were kept awake by high-pitched shrieking from a neighboring room. When we alerted security, they were unhelpful, eventually suggesting we "use earplugs" for a noise that was clearly audible through walls and recordings. When I politely asked to be moved so my family could sleep, the front desk attempted to guilt-trip me instead of providing a solution before moving us, very reluctantly. Communication is also non-existent between shifts. I spent hours trying to move a breakfast reservation, being bounced between a front desk that "couldn't help" and a concierge that had already left. Messages weren't passed on, and notes weren't kept. For the price point, the hospitality is severely lacking. I would not recommend this resort to friends or family.
Beautiful hotel that is a huge swing and miss on service. From check-in, to bar/restaurant service, and shuttle service, it is clear service is not a priority. We booked trip as a ski vacation. It is was very inconvenient. The shuttle service is slow and inconsistent; we often waited 45 minutes to get to town even first thing in morning. When I politely mentioned this was a concern to the manager Sal, I was told tough luck, it can take that long. The restraunts are overcrowded, making reservations necessary even for breakfast and lunch. On more than one occasion we sat at bar for 20-30 minutes and was never greeted before getting up and leaving. They automatically charge 50 dollars for parking, even if you have no vehicle and have private transportation take you. I had to ask 3 times for the charge to be removed (clearly they are hoping most wont notice). Also while not a huge deal but there is absolutely no apres ski, unless you want at 30 dollar burger from the bar. The coffee and snack bar also clos s very early. Do not be confused, this is not on the level of a Ritz, Four Seasons, Montage or St. Regis despite similar pricing. The lone bright spot was the exceptional staff at ski/sports shop and the contracted Ski Butlers staff who were excellent.
The lobby with s’mores was so beautiful and all the people working were so helpful. We brunch only this time and the restaurant never disappoints. A shout out to Stephanie in the lounge, always makes us feel welcome.
I would highly recommend staying here. We just had a wonderful 5 night trip. Beautiful resort with exceptional staff! Beautiful views right on Lake Tahoe!
Luxurious feel, lots of things to do.
Food was not that great for the price. Breakfast should be complimentary for the price.
Great place.
Quite expensive
Overall good experience, but they do not deserve a Michelin key star. The hotel was good for a five star hotel, but not exceptional. Even the lowest ranked Four Seasons or a moderate ranked Ritz Carlton is lightyears ahead of this resorts professional services and attention to detail. Overall would recommend on location, cleanliness and friendliness, but nothing to call home about for exceptional hospitality.
Everything!!!
Everything was magical!
It's a great place to get away. I recommend, you will enjoy yourself. I believe it's the best hotel in Lake Tahoe. It has good service over all.
Do not stay in room 246. It’s above the restaurant and it smells like chicken tenders, hamburgers and fried foods from 11am to 1am daily.
Edgewood Tahoe is absolutely breathtaking from the moment you arrive, the views, the atmosphere, and the serenity feel unreal. The lakefront setting is stunning, the service is warm and thoughtful, and every corner feels luxurious yet relaxing. A perfect escape for anyone looking to experience Lake Tahoe at its most beautiful.
To be honest, our state was less than enjoyable. We had some credit to use so we used it booking a room for two nights. Traveling with my special-needs son and his brother can be wonderful but also tricky. We had a long day of travel and checked into hotel on October 31. Our credit had not been applied to our stay and so this caused a lot of confusion with the front desk staff. They told us they would let a manager know and help us in the morning. Understandable. So we went to dinner nearby at the bistro. I was met there with somebody that was less than happy to seat us and wait on us. This gentleman ruined our entire stay. He did not want to serve us. It was obvious. He treated the other two tables of young couples incredibly different than us. We almost felt discriminated against. By the time our food came out we were turned off and didn’t want to eat our meal and decided to just take the check and go. I explained our situation to the manager the next morning, who was doing his best to make the situation better. A 50% discount was applied to our dinner. We were also supposed to hear from management for the restaurant, but never did. Very disappointing. We ended up leaving after one night and the manager Sal kindly offered to refund part of our stay. Very much appreciated however they wanted the very first initial credit card we had from the initial credited stay from back in January 2024. Obviously, this card was not accessible and so I was told that another manager would follow up with us from the billing department and a check would be cut and sent to us. I have not heard from anybody at this point. All in all, the hotel was not something I would recommend to friends or family. I will never come there again. My entire stay from check in to check out was horrible.
Beautiful property; spectacular views; excellent staff and service; nice restaurants; and clean and comfortable rooms.
This resort is beautiful and serene. I was able to go through a business trip, if you love nature, you'll love the Edgewood.
Quick weekend trip for my birthday. Everything about this property was absolutely lovely. Great staff and wonderful accommodations. Can’t wait to return.
Wonderful experience for solo traveler. Housekeeping service was fantastic and cleaned without me asking them. 5pm turndown service with chocolates, extra water bottles and nice touches. Lots of activities and knowledgeable concierge. The shuttle service is supburb. Extremely easy checking in and out. Bellman gave me a tour and history of lodge and lake upon arriving. The Hobbs Wine dinner was outstanding. Wonderful experience.
Beautiful resort and an amazing experience. The grounds are amazing; rooms are excellent and very quiet. I highly recommend it!
