Reviewed Sep 14, 2026It was in Carcassonne but having said that nothing else stood out to justify the premium you have to pay to stop in Carcassonne. If you are on a stop over - choose another town as hotels and restaurants charge a premium for location. If you’re hanging around to see the sights then it might be worth it
The room was pokey for the price. The room and bathroom are so small you have to say excuse me to move around each other. The parking is t easy to find ….. the instructions could be much better. The staff weren’t at all welcoming.

Das Zimmer war eine bessere Abstellkammer und Bad /WC ein Hasenkäfig. Die Sauberkeit wird auch nicht hochgehalten. Es besteht ein Parkplatzproblem, obwohl Parkplätze mit angeboten werden.

Reviewed Aug 25, 2026We spent two nights in this conveniently located hotel just the other side of the Vieux bridge which took you into Carcassonne along the main shopping and restaurant street. We found the rooms sufficient for our needs. The beds were comfortable, the air conditioning worked well in the heatwave, the bathroom was fine, everything was clean and the hanging space was much more generous than usual. There was a nice sized table and charging spots for all our electric devices. There was a laundromat right next door which was useful. The parking space was a bit of a squeeze to get in and out off! One note after checking the address of this hotel: in Tripadvisor this hotel is listed as Ibis Carcassonne Centre but on the Accor and Booking.com websites it is called Ibis Carcassonne Centre La Cité.

It was a great position being halfway between the railway station (Bus to airport) and the historic citidel. Yes, you could probably do better if you paid more! The staff were friendly.

La stanza, e non solo la nostra, è veramente piccola. La porta di ingresso non riusciva ad aprirsi a 90 gradi a causa del letto. Conosco bene la catena di hotel Ibis e il loro ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo, ma in questo caso mi sa che siamo andati oltre. Nei pressi dell’hotel ci sono altre catene di livello più alto a prezzi leggermente più alti, ma con qualità decisamente migliore.

It was the perfect position being halfway between the main train station (bus to airport) and the old town / Citadel. IT was reasonably priced for mid August. The staff were friendly.
Not much. The aircon was a bit loud, the room was a bit small. Could have slightly more hot selection at breakfast. Would stay there again.

Muy cerca del pequeño museo de arte de la ciudad. Muy amable la chica de la recepción al llegar. Buenas indicaciones para aparcar.
El baño muy pequeño y un poco viejo (algo de moho en los azulejos de la ducha abajo).

Reviewed Aug 12, 2026Ubicación excelente. En la Plaza Gambetta, delante del hotel, hay un parking subterráneo de gran capacidad. A 15 minutos caminando se llega al recinto amurallado. Recomendable verla de noche toda iluminada.
Baño poco iluminado. Habitación doble un poco pequeña.

Petit déjeuner sympa mais avec beaucoup de choses manquantes (serviettes, confiture mûre, oranges, pâte à tartiner). Rapport qualité/prix très moyen mais ça dépanne pour une nuit de passage.

La falta de aire acondicionado (A/C) adecuado a las temperaturas actuales en Francia. Limitan el aire a 22°C y ello impide que la habitación se refrigere y mantiene una temperatura de 25°C o superior; eso es igual que no tener A/C. Pésimo ya que no se puede dormir.

A la llegada el ascensor no funcionaba, hasta el día siguiente a mediodía no funcionó. Teniendo evidente movilidad reducida me las tuve que ingeniar para lograr subir dos pisos, ni ofrecieron cambiar al menos a una habitación en planta inferior.
