Ontbijt ruimte was niet proper en het ontbijt zelf kon ook beter. De meeste personeelsleden hadden volgens mijn gevoel een burn-out .

Convenience for business …. Wasn’t sure what to expect but was genuinely surprised! Great room, super large shower, great nights sleep, immaculately clean !

Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk. Er is leven in het hotel en de mensen uit het dorp maken graag een praatje. Ze zijn gastvrij en tonen interesse.

De bedden c.q. matrassen waren op en we sliepen in een diepe kuil. Verder waren verschillende lampen stuk en zat de douchestang los.

Property is in a great location, staff were lovely

Rooms needed some TLC - water stains in the ceiling, curtain rail hanging loose - not terrible by any means - but also at £100+ per night - room only.

The location was good, but parking wasn’t the best as we had to park quite a way from the hotel.

The children’s bed had what looked like chocolate on the bedspread, the bathroom window didn’t close properly so when getting changed or on the toilet people on the street could see. The shower had someone else’s hair in and when turning the shower on you could literally stay in for a few seconds as the shower didn’t drain as it should. Marks all over the bathroom floor. Breakfast abysmal, can’t make scrambled egg as it uses too many eggs, can’t make a poached egg because they don’t know how to make a poached egg.

Very nice room and clean. Staff really helpful with parking our motorbikes.

Not the hotel's fault but the family in the room above let their child/ children run about the room until 3.45am so I got no sleep

Great location, Nice bar with good selection of beers etc Good sized rooms with plenty of room for storing clothes. Large beer garden too. Had a good TV with apps so we could log in to Netflix/Disney etc late at night after returning from a long day out. Decent sized bathroom and nice tiled shower cubicle and tray. Good level of water pressure in the shower too.

Parking is limited so had to park outside local residents premises tho it was only a short walk away.

Great location and facilities. Staff were all brilliant, friendly and helpful. Room great very clean and comfortable.

Bathroom was a bit tired. Plug missing from sink and shower tray was stained. Instructions for car parking could be made clearer on website but in the end we parked safely on the high street

Great Location right on the Highstreet, Check in was simple, Staff really friendly. Good value for money and excellent cooked breakfast. Room had all the wee extras that make a better stay, Biscuits tea/coffee and water. They also topped them up everyday without asking.

Room was in the loft so had sloping ceilings, Good for banging your head on. Mattress on the double bed was just two singles put together. Price of a pint was pretty steep and hotel parking was a bit minimal but plenty of options around the area for both.

Het hotel ligt in een historisch pand met veel charme. De ontvangst was heel vriendelijk en efficiënt. Het management zocht mee een plek om onze fietsen veilig te kunnen bergen. De kamers waren zeker comfortabel met prima sanitair. Achter het hotel was een ruim zonnig terras en het avondeten was echt lekker.

We hadden 's avonds nogal wat last van lawaai. Sommige vrienden tijdens de match Frankrijk-Engeland. Wij zelf hadden 's avonds een luide beat onder onze kamer. Misschien dat daar wat aan gedaan kan worden. 'S morgens bleek de kok ziek en kregen we een continental breakfast, gratis. Waarvoor dank.

Goede parkeerplek. Ruime kamer. Centraal gelegen

We vroegen om een rustige kamer maar bleek boven de bar te zijn. Tot 23:00 rumoerig daarna rustig. Bediening niet heel vriendelijk. Ontbijt voor stevige prijs maar heel pover.

We were staying at the property the night before climbing Snowdon. I phoned ahead of arrival to check what time dinner was and was told that last orders would be 8pm. We went upto the bar at 7.15 pm and were told the kitchen had closed which left us with nowhere to eat the night before climbing a mountain! Totally unacceptable.

Cooling fas provided was filthy. Protecting mesh was covered in dust.

Thin walls, I could hear both the television and the man ‘watching’ it snoring in the next room at 01:30 am.

The property was nice

Weather was hot and the room’s were even hotter. To the point it was unbearable, windows hardly open. Also everyone smokes just outside the doors in the beer gardens and it blows right into the hotel. Not a smoker myself. Apart from that brilliant

Room was modern and facilities were clean. Hotel has an old fashioned charm.

Beer wasn’t well kept. Bought a pint but only drank half. Went to the tap room down the road instead. Didn’t eat there as the place has a poor reputation with the locals. Maybe it’s great, but trip advisor and local advice suggested otherwise.

Great location, bar was good with reasonable prices. Private free parking a bonus. Bathroom was really large with a great walk in shower.

Breakfast (£10) was really poor, (only ate it on 1st day) swimming in oil, note for the chef, stop deep frying everything, the hash browns were like oily sponges and the large mushroom was akin to a kids paddling pool, even the bacon looked like it had been in the fryer. I pointed out to the waitress lipstick on one of the cups and she basically shrugged her shoulders. Bed wasn't too comfortable. I stayed here about 10 years ago and it was much better.

The rooms were a bit dated and need modifications, cooked breakfast wasn’t good, greasy plate, all the food was deep fried.

Earlier time for breakfast on weekends, ie 7.00 am or 7.30 am. 8.00 am too late.

Warme kamer. We hadden voor twee nachten geboekt. Kamer was niet schoon gemaakt en geen schone handdoeken.

The hotel is very centrally located and well attended by locals and holiday makers alike. The room was very large and clean. There were tea & coffee making facilities in the room, along with biscuits. The breakfast, although at an extra charge (£10) was worth the money, it was plentiful and included unlimited coffee or tea etc. The bar served a good selection of drinks, lagers & ales.

We booked in for evening meal, which on the whole was acceptable, but some items had to be returned due to being overcooked, which may be a one off.

Central town location. Off street car park.

Stairs are steep and narrow. Was on 2nd floor, so beware! Rooms are clean, well appointed, but can be a little 'compact'.

Handrail in shower. Shower looked good but nothing to hold onto . Terrified I would slip so did not shower during 2 day stay Breakfast abysmal. Orange juice in child cartons to suck through straw. Coffee in paper carton but it was hot. Second day coffee in cup-only came out half a cup -problem with coffee machine! Displayed better on second day. No fruit!! Toaster didn’t work . However staff very polite and would get you toast.

The shower was very small and had to keep turning it off to prevent water overflow onto the floor. No menus at breakfast, had to request cutlery most of the cups contained dishwasher stains

I have mobility issues and was on 3rd floor, there isn’t a lift. Perhaps I missed it when booking but should be pointed out a bit clearer, staff were very helpful though and assisted with luggage.

Was a bit tired and run down - seems new owners may be a little distant from the reality here. Many good times (even basics like vegetables and mashed potatoes plus 40% of the mains ) not available. Bar pumps not well stocked. Beds tiny even for normal and not great quality

Have stayed here many times over the years. Nice staff good value.

Het ontbijt was erg karig en vaak waren en etenswaren op. Ruime keuze voor het diner. Personeel was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Douchebak liep de eerste avond over waardoor de hele badkamer blank stond. De volgende dag een andere kamer gekregen.

A friendly and comfortable hotel with a great vibe. Didn’t get to sample breakfast as had an early start for the Lake Bala swim but friends reported that it was good.

Didn’t like that you can’t book a table to eat. When we did find a table the kitchen had run out of fish. There was little choice for fish and vegetarian on the main course menu so we had to find somewhere else to eat. Having said that the guy who served us was lovely and said there would be fish the next day. Having swum in the Lake Bala event went back to the hotel for the fish and chips and was well worth waiting for! We also had to check out early and no one was on the desk , left the room card and don’t think it was a problem.

Food and room were amazing.

Mattress was not as comfy as it felt flat and a little old.

Room 309 on third floor was comfortable nice big shower. Bed was great, clean towels etc. Staff were friendly.

The entrance to the hotel was via the front door and squeezing past a load of drunk men. Water leak from the ceiling by reception and buckets on the floor, it happens but not a good look. The fan in the bathroom had what looked like 12 months worth of dust hanging from it, never been cleaned. Absolutely gross. What really spoilt the stay for us was a loud noise every 5 minutes or so that sounded like a macerator or some kind of pump kicking off, hardly slept at all. This went on all night long.

Location was exactly what we wanted, vehicle parking was enough, good range of drinks behind the bar. Room was clean, good shower.

Breakfast was limited, no smiles with the service, when I asked if I could have an Omelette the answer was 'we don't do Omelettes!' second day, when I asked for poached eggs on toast instead of fried or scrambled the answer was again 'we don't do poached'. I then opted for scrambled, when this came it was running in butter - never known anyone to put butter in scrambled eggs! Although breakfast only cost £10 so what can you expect. The Sunday evening we decided to eat in the hotel, when I asked for a table I was met with 'we stop serving at 5pm'. not once during check in did anyone inform us of this - was a bonus though as we found a Bistro cafe across the road which was excellent.

My room was on 3rd floor, exceedingly hot, no fan. Bed was poor quality. Very noisy being on High Street.

The room was a good size. The bedding was clean.

Totally inadequate parking. Internal Bathroom that smelt of drains even tho we left the fan running non stop. No opening windows. The window we had was directly opposite a window in another building but there were no net curtains or sheer curtains so we had to leave the heavy curtains closed for privacy. Small carton of spring water provided on day one but not day two or three. No hooks to hang wet towels on ( just one radiator which dried one towel). Pub was very noisy, floorboards were very creaky so it was difficult to sleep. Furniture a mish mash of old brown furniture, not at all appealing. I ordered dinner the first night… very undercooked inedible belly pork, no apologies given let alone a refund offered . This place is a pretty basic pub with no real idea of how, or priority , to give good service to hotel guests.

Needed a seal on shower glass to bath as water just runs all over the floor. Poor woman on breakfast was rushed off her feet. Breakfast could have been displayed much better. It's a lively Welsh pub so dont expect to get to sleep too early due to noise from below

A lift would have been good as I have a bit of trouble walking and use a wheelchair but clearly would be very difficult to install. I can manage stairs. However they gave us a good first floor room.
