Plas Yn Dre

They didn’t have our booking even though it was confirmed on booking.com. They were full so we had to find another place to stay which was very inconvenient as we were tired after a full day of exploring and the only available place we found was 1.5 hours drive. The member of staff said he will refund us our money but never did. I had to call the customer service myself and get the refund.

Very friendly staff. Clean room. Easy check in.

Room was on the front so I got noise up till 11pm, then woke at 3am. Totally not the hotels fault, but making aware for future guests. The breakfast was nice, but not award winning. Sorry.

Lovely welcome by Dan and warm service from Dan and Ruby. Characterful old building, but warmly renovated and very comfortable. Comfortable bed, good shower. Dinner was very good and breakfast was excellent.

Great value for money. Very comfortable and clean room, bathroom was spotless. Full Welsh breakfast was excellent, fresh, quality food

The staff were brilliant - very welcoming and attentive. The room was spacious but cosy, and had everything needed for an enjoyable stay. The included breakfast was amazing. Very good quality food, and generous portions.

Comfortable, spacious and well equipped room. Delicious food and THE friendliest staff. We even had a shed to keep our bikes in overnight. Particularly loved the ginger toiletries and the lemon desert with dry ice effect.

I cant honestly think of anything. Room was hot but were in middle of heatwave.

The staff were top level, polite, energetic, funny, and always available when needed. They contributed massively to how enjoyable our stay was. The location was perfect, the atmosphere perfect, the room, the restaurant, the decor, everything was perfect.

Great place, lovely hosts and looked after us very well.

Breakfast was fabulous, evening meal we invited family who were camping at Glanllyn which everyone enjoyed (especially the Lemon). Room no 1 was very nice and clean with teabags supplied.

Everything, parking good, location good, rooms comfortable with great facilities and cleanliness. Food great. Staff particularly on arrival, around the restaurant all very very attentive polite, professional some of the best staff I’ve experienced in a number of years from a restaurant and bar environment. Will definitely be arranging a return visit to Plas Ye Dre.

De locatie, het vriendelijke personeel, de hygiëne, goede bedden, … ben op doorreis in de VK.

Minder geschikt voor kinderen, heb geen kinderen…ik kan mij goed inbeelden dat zij zich hier snel gaan vervelen. Voor een koppel of mensen die rust waarderen, TOP locatie! Twee nachten gebleven…geen herrie op de gangen of waar dan ook! De bar is bv ook om 22u gesloten, wat goed is voor de rust!!!

Great location, great food and very helpful and nice staff. I also liked the interior decorations.

The room was a bit too hot as it was too hot outside. There was a fan, which helped a bit, but given my room’s exposure, the sun stayed directly on it until sunset, which kept it hot for long into the night.

Excellent choice of food varied menu. Service efficient. Warm atmosphere and welcoming. I would certainly recommend.

Centrally located hotel. We had an in room issue upon checking in, this was swiftly addressed to our satisfaction. Nice room, a little hot due to extreme weather, there was a fan in the room which helped somewhat. Staff were great, really friendly. Breakfast was really good (didn't have an evening meal but others eating seemed happy with what they had. Would I stay again- yes.

We liked everything lovely stay

Highly recommend. We had a fabulous overnight stay ahead of the Big Bala Swim. Our room was very comfortable and quiet, well furnished, including a modern spacious bathroom. We also dined in the restaurant and were welcomed by Dan and the team -service and timing at table made for a very relaxing atmosphere, attentive but with ‘space’ between courses. Drinks options were extensive including local gin. Nothing was too much trouble, all staff were pleasant and engaging, with a great gluten free menu. All locally sourced produce, which was both tasty and presently beautifully, especially the fish cakes and cheeseboard! Thanks again.

A wonderful place to stay. We were made to feel very welcome. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. There was an excellent choice of beers, and our evening meal was cooked to perfection. Our breakfast was very tasty and generous. It was the best cooked breakfast we’d had for a long time. Thank you to everyone at Plas yn Dre.

We enjoyed a one night stay after we had been whitewater rafting only a five minutes drive away From arriving at the property to leaving the staff was all lovely and welcoming Great food breakfast with lots of choice Rooms very clean with a Comfortable bed. a fan was provided due to the warm weather and in the room for our arrival With tea coffee and snacks stocked also We will return in the future thank you to all staff x x

Staff were friendly and the bed was comfortable. The room was perfectly pleasant and quiet. Parking available.

Not 5*. A little pricey. The chefs couldn’t make an omelette for dinner or breakfast which was very odd & overall the kitchens weren’t good at dealing with allergies as everything is pre made. The room wasn’t that clean. Many cobwebs and the shower area had a fair amount of black mold and discolouration.

Good secure motorcycle parking. Good rooms good staff and food is exceptionally high standard.

Very well located with parking at the back. Bar area and restaurant both lovely settings. Bedroom was huge, comfortable excellent facilities and with breakfast was an absolute bargain. Lots of local Welsh products used which was nice to see. The staff were the most polite people we’ve ever met and couldn’t do enough for you. We I’ll definitely be back this place is a gem!

Very good staff. All were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. Fresh towels and replenished tea, coffee and milk daily. Veggie breakfast was great with a big choice to suit all tastes.

The only downside was the limited parking but to be fair there was on street parking along the main street.

What we liked the property was the location which is right at the town centre , the room was big and immaculate .Staffs were very accommodating and helpful. Breakfast was excellent 👌

The hotel was lovely. Very clean and beautifully decorated. Our bedroom had good quality tasteful furniture and the bed was very comfortable. Everything was spotless. From the minute we walked through the door the staff were fantastic, very welcoming and happy to help. The food was exceptional and excellent value for the quality.

The hotel doesn’t have a lift so no disabled access rooms. This is an observation for information.

Off street parking for motorcycles to the rear was helpful. Shona made us all very welcome and provided an enjoyable Breakfast experience. Tomos was most efficient looking after our needs and evening meal , food was good and the service was excellent.

Food was fabulous, sunday roasts were exceptionally good, our 18month grandson enjoyed the childrens menu, breakfasts very generous portions well cooked from great ingredients. Extremely attentive and friendly staff, nothing was any trouble!

The en suite shower room was a little cramped and the shower would have benefited from some sort of rail to hold on to.

Amazing hotel and very clean. The room was very well laid out and had a tv in both areas so we could watch something different. We ate in the restaurant and the food was very good. We didn't have time for breakfast in the morning but the guy on the front desk made us 2 sandwiches to take away which was very nice of him. We will definitely stay here again next time we are visiting the karting track nearby. Thanks

Property is beautiful and obviously well cared for. We loved the feel and how it leans into its history. Beds were very comfortable and the showers perfect. As for the food, all we can say is it is amazing!!! Breakfasts were excellent quality and very yummy. We had dinner at the property too and we were not disappointed!!! Fantastic!!

Fantastische kamer (nummer 4) , heel ruim en zelfs met een bankje erbij om op te zitten. Mooi groot bed en een fijne regendouche. Personeel is zeer vriendelijk en welwillend met een speciale vermelding voor Dan. Hij wil duidelijk alles doen om het zijn gasten naar de zin te maken en dat voel je. Hotel is zeer hondvriendelijk en de hond mocht gewoon bij ons liggen in het restaurant gedeelte.

Enige kleine minpuntje is misschien de locatie midden in het dorp aan de doorgaande weg. Je hoort het verkeer op je kamer en je zit op het (grote) terras vrij dicht bij de straat. Maar wij vonden het geen probleem.
