Convenient for airport, comfortable room, friendly staff.
Staff unhelpful, no communication to advise of spa booking, limited selection for dining they had run out of some of the menu choices. Tea and coffee facilities poor and had to ask reception for an extra cup/teabags. Not advised of breakfast choices. Overall did not feel like a very welcome stay
Hotel was super nice. Spacious rooms, comfy beds. Coffee machines etc. Indoor swimming pool is a big bonus Hot Breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever tasted. Parking is a nightmare, but I guess location doesn’t help. Staff were not friendly, particularly restaurant staff. Unsure why. The chef was really angry at the kids. I am hoping it was just a one off thing. Especially given that he did a really good job with the hot breakfast. Overall, very positive experience
Have stayed here many times before for work and always enjoyed my stay, however this time the stay was pretty average. The main reason for staying at the hotel is the Italian restaurant next door, however, the restaurant was poor this time, and it is very expensive now too. The hotel is okay, needs updating in many areas, especially the bathrooms of the rooms. Parking is also a nightmare, I had to park a good 10min walk away this time. The main issue for me this time was that there are always lots of people in and around the bar area that are not residents, just people using the hotel for 3-4 hours for work. I checked in and went to the bar to do some emails, however, there was a guy on his phone, walking round and round the restaurant and bar area talking really loudly, it was really annoying, especially as in the couple f hours I was there he bought 1 coffee. I am sure there are nicer places to stay in the area which I will be staying at next time.
The breakfast was a bit boring. Could have used a little variety and more greens. The room was nice, but really loud towards the neighbors and out towards the hallway.
Great room, friendly staff
Drinks a touch expensive but usual for airport hotels. Reception check in staff were excellent. Leisure facilities very good .
The hotel was really nice, comfortable and affordable, the staff are nice and friendly too. The spa and restaurant were nice touches too Its a good bit away from the city but deffo worth it if you want to relax in peace for a while.
It wasn’t great very average all of it Terribly noisy outside the room early morning must be been above the bins
Ideal hotel for the Airport- brilliant Leisure Club
Surprised there was no separate bar or Sky Sports available
Good hotel stayed many times on route to Manchester airport. San Carlo restaurant is the big draw for us
The Restaurant food and staff were wonderful. Front staff were horrible.
clean tidy very welcoming
Clean rooms
Great hotel comfortable beds very clean and convenient for Manchester Airport. We stayed here previously and will definitely stay again in the future! 😃
Staff was great at front desk, and during all encounters throughout our stay. Gym was nice and big, property is country feel and quaint. The building itself and the rooms are pretty outdated, bathroom showers seem old, but besides that we enjoyed our stay, breakfast was great, and location is convenient close to the airport.
Excellent facilities located 5 minutes from Manchester Airport with everything you could want for an early check-in. Great transport to and from the airport, beautiful restaurant, pool and spa facilities on site. Pleasant staff and amicable.
Clean well equipped and well maintained rooms.
Airport hotel but lots of rooms on a floor with no lift access ( including ours) Parking difficult and relatively expensive for a partial night there as we had to check out at 0330, to catch an early flight.
Very averigüé property.
Had a great stay, but just found out that Delta Marriot are accommodating illegal immigrants. So despite a good stay and previous use of this hotel, I will not be using this hotel chain for any further stays. Such a shame that this hotel chain has put profit ahead of country,
Lovely family room
Clean, friendly staff, delicious food in the restaurant.
Beautiful hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Moreover, there are two excellent restaurants here.
I normally stay at the Premier Inn which is tired and old, but honest. For a treat I stayed here, and was really disappointed. For the additional money it was hard to learn that the room air conditioning didn’t work, the hot water was just warm and the room is only cleaned every 3 days. I expect this from the Premier Inn but not the Marriott. I mentioned both the hot water and the air conditioning to reception who said they would call maintenance, but nothing happened. Worst of all, on check out I was not asked how my stay was - I am always asked at the Premier Inn! Save your money!
Not sure if the reception lady was tired or just having a bad day but she wasn’t friendly nor polite when checking out. It seemed that asking for an invoice/receipt for my parking was a big ask? We all go through
We stayed here for 4 nights and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. Our room was in the basement, with no elevator access, which was really tough for me as I have a bad knee. While the staff did help carry our bags when we checked in, we had to manage everything ourselves at checkout, which was really inconvenient. The basement had a strong carpet smell as soon as you opened the door, and the AC never cooled the room enough for us to sleep comfortably. The staff did provided us a fan, but it wasn’t enough for our family of four. For the amount we paid (almost $400 CAD per night), we expected a lot more. We also found a couple of spiders in the room. On our second night, we came back around midnight to find our toilet was clogged. While the staff responded quickly, they weren’t able to fix it, and we had to use the washroom in another room upstairs, which added to the inconvenience. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place, even if it cost half as much.
The tvs in our suite didn't work, we reported to reception but these were not fixed during our stay. When it came to showering we had no hot water, on calling reception they informed me it was for planned maintenance. However no one had told us about this ahead of time, so had an issue washing and bathing a young family of four. No one properly explained what was included in our booking (access to complimentary breakfast and lunch in an executive lounge). All in all had a comfy bed but was just disappointing on the above points. On check out they did offer to reduce and refund 20% of booking.
A big let down as have stayed many times before will look at changing brands next time
Good location for the airport
Decent hotel, good value and handy shuttle bus. Children’s bed not made up and no air conditioning, but room otherwise nice. Food good but not the cheapest, restaurant a little pretentious considering it’s just an airport hotel.
Easy check in and check out. Used the pool, steam room and jacuzzi all staff lovely and helpful
We had booked a 2 night stay in a family room. We checked in about 8pm. When we got to our room we discovered there was an ants nest outside our bedroom door with hundreds of ants on the wall and carpet - we where worried in case they got under the door to our room. I went to reception and told them and showed them a photo. They moved us rooms straight away and upgraded us to a family suite. We noticed that the new room was abnormally warm and there was no cool air coming from the air conditioning. So we hadn’t slept all night as the heat was horrendous. The second night was even warmer so I rang reception and they came down and they couldn’t believe the heat in our room so they got us a fan - but it didn’t nothing. The girl at reception then asked us would we move rooms again - it was late but we couldn’t breath in the room it was so warm, so we packed up again and moved rooms for a 3rd time. The new room was lovely and cool and we got a better nights sleep. Another issue we had that there was little vegan food on the menu, For breakfast the only option was hash brown, beans, brown bread and fruit. Not good at all for the price you pay for breakfast - any other hotel we have stayed in always had better vegan breakfast options. There was also no disabled parking. There were 3 cars parked in the front 3 disabled bays that didn’t move. And we had to park far from from the entrance. Would I stay here again? NO! Three room moves in 2 nights really is not acceptable.
Very good hotel in a good location for work and the airport. Great dining options, and helpful staff
Great hotel , and the fantastic San Carlo restaurant on site
Swimming pool and spa were good, lack of hot water in the ladies changing room showers. Rooms are advertised as air conditioned but this seems to mean a tower fan that made little difference to heat. Furniture in room was chipped and scratched and drawers not clean. Fridge was a bonus. Breakfast area had chipped furniture and in need of a deep clean especially the tables, even salt and pepper wooden shakers were sticky. Cooked breakfast was poor, scrambled eggs drowning in liquid, with poached the only thing that looked edible. I opted for the poached egg and items from the continental table which was fine but had been looking forward to a full breakfast. Disappointed.
Hotel staff very friendly and professional, room clean and tidy. Bed comfortable and bathroom good. Restaurant lovely and great staff.
We had
Nothing that can be helped but we were just unlucky to be next door to some very noisy people!
We were really impressed with everything, I asked for a special request for two special occasions this seemed effortless. The room and access to the executive lounge were an amazing experience. so thank you very much we will most definitely return and would recommend to our friends and family.
Amazing hotel far nicer than the hotels at airport. San Carlos superb as always. Staff very friendly and hotel super clean will always stay here when flying from Manchester airport
Adequate hotel stay. I booked the hotel room for 2 people yet there was only 1 bottle of water and only 1 breakfast teabag. This may sound trivial to you but this room was not cheap £161.00 per night and there wasn’t enough water and teabags for the both of us! When we booked out at 4AM and mentioned this to the lady on reception her response was, in a very cocky attitude… you just have to ring through and we will provide more! Really!! You think this is a good enough response because I definately do not. Absolutely not good enough!
A few signs to reception from the bedroom would be great. The stay was overall good. The breakfast ( room service) let it down as asked for prunes and got dried cranberries which was disappointing!! Also the full breakfast was not very warm.
Had a fabulous stay.
A comfortable stay
Very friendly driver to the airport! Pool is amazing. Both restaurants had great food!
Basic at best, robotic check in / out staff
Helpful and friendly staff at the front desk who quickly sorted an error with my booking. Enjoyed the pool facilities too, with decent showers and nice toiletries.
Suited our purpose relaxing g night before our holiday. Rooms, pool area etc good. The coffee choice was poor. My husband didn’t t like the full English sausage no good !
Lovely hotel and had a great time. BUT. Selected the free parking option via Expedia and checked out of the hotel to advise nothing due for payment only to receive in the post today a parking fine for £100 pounds. Can see now why the hotel was reasonably priced they make there profit on the parking.
Convenient to Manchester Airport. Staff was very accommodating and professional. Shuttle ran very frequently. Breakfast was very good. We would stay again.
Room are nice just a little dated and the bathrooms the same. Some room can be far away from the stairs and elevators. Found the restaurant didn’t have much to choose from all so. Great location tho from the motorway and airport. Parking seamed very limited tho and abit far from reception.
Property was good, relaxing and spacious. I absolutely loved it. But the rooms need upgrades in terms of electrical as I couldn’t charge my phone as they didn’t have a type C charging port. There was also no dental care kit in the bathroom and I rang the front desk to get some for the room and they took forever to bring it.
The hotel is a little bit tired in places but great dining options and excellent staff/service
Superb hotel close to the Runway visitor park. Pool was excellent. Room had everything we needed. Great breakfast as well, would stay here again.
I stayed here for 2 nights for work, I have stayed here many times before as it is ideal for business meetings and seeing clients in the local area. The hotel stay this time was not as good as previous times, the bar staff were more interested in chatting amongst themselves rather than serving, and in general the rooms are starting to get a little tired.
Staff - especially Jackson who was very helpful NO FREE CAR PARKING!
Good hotel. Excellent for easiness of airport. All staff were helpful and friendly. Swimming pool is excellent. Warning no shallow area if have small children. Breakfast was very good. I would happily stay again
Very good stay, the pool was lovely
Pool hot tub and rooms very clean and nice
Swimming pool with clean water, the rooms were spacious
Excellent
Nice big family room. Enjoyed using pool. Friendly staff.
Nice property short drive from the airport
Good spot for visiting Manchester with a car ; hotel has good facilities but EV charging is poor with onky two chargibg points one of which is a 3-pin plug connection!
Spa facilities were excellent, location is convenient
Good location for air port. Two nice restaurants. Room was clean - hallways need updating. Reception staff very helpful and friendly.
Very good hotel in a good location with great food options
We enjoyed a four night stay here on arrival from Australia, for a family wedding. We had booked a family room. Two queen sized beds. The breakfast was a good choice and standard with full English and continental choices. We ate twice at the Bistrot. Excellent French cuisine. My husband is French and rated it highly. My parents stayed in another room and unfortunately on arrival my Mum was ill . The staff went to great efforts to make sure she went to the emergency and showed a high level of concern and care. I am a doctor myself and appreciated their help. The leisure club was lovely. A nicely heated pool. The rooms were warm and quiet. No airport noise at all. Two EV charging parking places were useful.
Excellent stay
Nice location and nice pool
Great but hotels.com charged £40 for parking which looked to include breakfast but it didn’t. Parking is £16 on site. Don’t use hotels to book with parking
No parking in this place and they charge you £20 for the night. Every little thing is being charged. They didn’t mention the 50 deposit you have to put down when checking in.
We parked on sight, stayed for one night then left the car for 3 nights whilst on a mini break. Shuttle buses to the airport are frequent. We ate in the restaurant which was very nice, great service and great food. We didn’t add parking or shuttle bus on the booking (Couldn’t see the option when I booked) this was payable at the hotel
Clean & tidy hotel with great restaurants only a very short drive from Manchester airport. Unfortunately this time was not a great experience. Room was far too warm with no visible control to turn it down and we also seemed to be next to a generator/boiler room. It was very noisy.
Good but one stay the heater wasn't working, they clearly knew as it had an electric radiator on there
Loved this hotel, the pool has the wow factor and the water fountain at reception is very handy
This was our second stay at the hotel. The staff are really welcoming, the hotel is modern, comfortable and facilities are great, especially the pool and spa. We had the most wonderful meal in the restaurant (steak for two), the food was delicious.
Lovely food .great reception staff.room greatonly problem bath plug was corroded and bath kept emptyijg due to poor seal.cut my finger on plug which was annoying
Booked a suite, expensive but nice. Comfy bed, good shower. Spa pool is nice & worth a look
Nice location for our stay with family. Close to motorway for easy access.
A very nice hotel which had a very comfy bed, modern rooms and excellent facilities for a reasonable price.
Customer service / check in was awful. I made a room service request later, which never showed up. Not the stress free start to a holiday we hoped for
Pros: Use of amenities included - although used by other public members who arent guests and for what looked like 1-1 swimming lessons? Room was ready before check in time. Room was big enough for 2 adults. Cons: No plug sockets for use by the beds or surrounding areas. Only sockets were on the table where the desk/tv was. The heating in the room was broken. It kept bringing up an error message and blowing cold air. The temperature in the room was 15 degrees. My boyfriend went to reception to ask for assistance with this. We went to have a massage and use the amenities and when we got back, it was still broken. My boyfriend went to reception for a second time and still nobody came. I called reception around 9pm to advise that still, nobody had been to look at it. They asked if we'd like to move rooms - at 9pm the night before checking out- we declined, so the receptionist said they would bring us an extra heater - nobody did. Thankfully we had a plug in radiator which we'd left on all day & night to try to heat the room. I asked @ check in if we pay for parking now, receptionist Collette said 'dont worry ive sorted it', upon check out, a different receptionist tried to charge us for the 2 nights parking, we explained what collette said to be met with 'why would she say that'?. My boyfriend then explained about the broken heating, having to ask for assistance 3x and not getting it and not getting the promised extra heater - to which they then waived the parking charge.
Nothing wrong the hotel itself though we only slept there as had an early morning flight. Don’t use their shuttle service. Payed for a return shuttle from the airport but it was none existent one excuse after another as why it didn’t show up after waiting nearly an hour in the allocated place with 3 small, cold and hungry children After contacting them twice and complaining, they had to order a taxi for us to return and pick our car up. Will not use the hotel to stay and park again.
Wouldn’t bother again. In need of some modernisation. Very noisy all day but particularly at night. The hotel is so spread with small children and suitcases not easy negotiating corridors and steps
Everything you could want for hotel stay. Stayed in family room which was ample space for 4 of us. Clean and cosy and swimming pool/spa was great
This hotel is lovely, only downside was the food menu being very small and the bed wasn't very comfortable and had a very thin duvet which wasn't ideal in this weather, but it was nice and clean, the staff were lovely, and the spa facilities were perfect :)
Sofa bed not very comfy Breakfast a bit disappointing, bacon cooked one side only!! Rest not very warm. No crossiants left(15mins wait!!)
Exhausting but fun and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Thanks Delta for a wonderful weekend and being a caring team to disabled people. Thanks again and Merry Christmas xx
Very convenient for Manchester Airport
Nice hotel and good rooms. Convenient for the airport if you are using it. Note that parking is £16 for an overnight and you are required to show picture identification when checking in.
Hotel was stunning, clean and cozy. I do wish the pool and leisure facilities were open later than 6.30pm We also found the parking a bit expensive considering how much you’re paying for the room. Otherwise would stay again.
Great hotel with great facilities, in a good location for my business trip
Hotel looks nice outside and in reception. That’s where it ends though. Beds are like those found in Russian Gulags. Rooms showing their age and the amount of dust under the beds only goes to confirm it. San Carlo is fantastic however.
Excellent check-in staff. Very helpful and efficient.
Terrible customer service , no hot water until you call front desk and had to wait 30min this happened two weeks ago also when I stayed there. Asked for a bath rope to go to the SPA and had to wait 40min !!! Staff isn’t the most polite either
great hotel with great facilities
I loved this property for its convenience and feel of being secluded but actually isn’t. Felt like we were in a garden, but we were close to everything we needed (with a car). Super happy with the Sauna, Steam, Cold Plunge and hot tub and pool. We chose this location because of the pool but were told after the children couldn’t swim past 8. Wish we knew that before booking as we were suffering Jet Lag from NA and wanted to swim late.
