Terrible. They cancelled my reservation and did not issue a refund even though they said they would.
Lots of people living there very strange smell in the staircase Couldn’t even open the window in the room, it’s dated and needs a massive upgrade. Don’t eat there the food is terrible more grease than fish. Sorry not for me
1st impression, the hotel was a bit dated on the outside. Loads of spaces for parking. Just remember to validate your vehicle reg on the tablet in reception.Check in was easy, staff polite and pleasant. The place was busy.Plenty of space in the bar/reception area. Room was ok. We were put in a room overlooking the road. Double glazed windows didn't close properly. You could hear traffic outside and people talking as they walked past. Not a massive issue.Room was OK, clean and tidyish. Corridors needed a bit of TLC,which I think is actually on the way. Best part of it was the breakfast, it was lovely. Overall I'd give the place a generous 7/10. Would I stay again? Not sure tbh.
Just don’t. If it’s the only choice, use a tent instead.
Hotel was nice and clean, the bar staff were friendly and prices reasonable. Mattress reasonable. Decor could do with some work but it didn’t impact on our stay.
Need good cleaning. And air clears because this hotel is pet friendly .
Stayed here over the years, but this will be the last time unfortunately. Very tired hotel and in urgent need of upgrading.
Our beds were clean and comfortable but the hotel was shabby in places there were no towels in the room at all. When my colleague went to the very messy cupboard in the morning to ask for some she was told the towels don’t arrive till 11am. She had the sense to ask for 2 dressing gowns for us to dry ourselves with.
Everything
Decent for the money
I am sorry to say would not return to this hotel. Bin full from previous guests when we entered the room. No hot water for a bath or shower in the evening, water just tepid. Only 4 hand towels available in any case. Mattress did not fit the bed base, looked like a double on a king size base. Quilt did not fit the bed, small double quilt if that. Plenty of coffee but no tea except for ginger and lemon flavours but were dirty. When curtains opened no nets to stop the building over main road looking in. I did report to reception in evening told there were staff shortages, again mentioned in morning and offered free breakfast to make up for it but we needed to leave early. Paid £120 and expected at least basic standard.
Arrived at hotel and checked in. Room was given and was so hot in there with no way turning the heating down as the valve on the radiator was broken. New room was offered. Bathroom was tiny and WiFi connection was really poor. I was unable to do any work because of this. Overall experience was very disappointing.
Very courteous staff
The room was extremely warm, it was uncomfortable to sleep even with the window open. The bathroom looked tired and non user friendly in need of updating.
Good stay
Absolutely awful nothing like the photos dirty will not be staying again
Very tired hotel.
Good, but the tub need a handling for old people, is not safe take a shower,
My wife and I stayed at the hotel on the evening of 26/9/2024 and left for an early morning flight on 27/9. We had also booked to stay on 30/9 but when we arrived just before midnight we were informed that our room with a kingsize bed had been given to someone else and all that was available was a small room with a double bed. We were immediately told that to compensate for this we would could have a complimentary breakfast in the morning As we had already paid for breakfast the receptionist was unsure what compensation we could be given. She stated that she was unable to upgrade our room. Because of the lateness we accepted the double room (Room 321). This room is small and dingy. Curtains are soiled and creased. The bedding was clean The bathroom is very small. There were no towels, however the receptionist brought these to the room shortly after we informed her of this. The breakfast was enjoyable with a varied choice of cereals, juices and hot food. The cost of a taxi to get to Manchester airport was £23.
Decent place to stay in Altrincham. Free car park, but sometimes very busy. Room was fine. Staff were customer focussed.
The bathroom sink had hairs from shaving. The shower didn't fully work the button to switch from tap to shower was abit faulty.the TV didn't work.there was only one towel for two of us.
This is the second Best Western i had problems with the tap in show did not work water so hot 🔥 The heating dod not work we were cold in the night
Non smoking room smelled of smoke. Bathroom door not closing, light not working as well and the shower curtain half hanging and had to put it up. The room and bathroom was very clean though.
A nice stay but nosey place. Not ideal for a quiet break but good for a group trip.
I was initially allocated a room that was not clean from the previous customer however I was then upgraded to a nicer executive room .
Overall: We had a good stay - hotel completing upgrades and staff work hard to provide excellent service. Pros: Interaction with staff at all levels was excellent - staff were friendly, calm, professional and efficient Linen and towels were soft and well laundered Room amenties good (Tea, Coffe, Milk, Biscuits, Hairdryer, Iron and Board) Water was hot with good pressure Location was great and parking included in room rate Cons First night - Twin room allocated was inadequate - collapsed mattress springs - room excessively hot - no sleep Staff responded positively after raising issues and allocated us to an appropriate room. Notably 3 days later hotel was clearing older furnishings into skip. No mini fridge Parking can be a challenge due to number of guests parking to fly. Heat control can be issue in summer months
Staff was lovely was A very late check after a flight home staff were efficient room quite small though road was busy so a lot of noise from the road. Small reading lamp was working tea/ coffee/ sugar not replaced on day 2 but over all it's was fine, hotel in the process of being renovated at present
Great
Room was nice and comfortable. However, there was no hot water at all. When I notified the reception I was told they were experiencing issues and apologised, but I don't really think this is sufficient as having a shower is a necessary standard that I would expect when paying for a room.
Damp and lots of it.
Shower was unusable due to high temp, scolded scalp when attempting to use, mould on ceilings, dirty bed sheets & was left waiting in reception for 20 mins, will not return
Overnight stay arranged last minute. Only one night available due to donkey derby at OT
Lots of car parking and hotel in a good position to walk into town centre. Price was decent value vs other budget level options. Hotel room small but comfortable. Hotel is tired and needs a revamp. Room walls very thin and clearly heard couple next door talking and listening to music.
Terrible hotel. The first room I checked in to, the bed hadn’t been made and I doubt the room had been cleaned either. When I complained to the front desk, they kindly upgraded me and gave me a voucher for a free drink. I was upgraded to a Superior S room. Lovely, I thought. The room itself was very large, almost “suite” like. But, it was very dated. The tv was from 1981 and had no hdmi port so unable to use a Firestick, the wallpaper was coming away from the wall, the extractor fan made a sound like a banshee when the light was turned on (seriously I’d post a video if I could) and the open window was open because it didn’t fit into its hole, and when I tried to close it, the handle came off in my hand. So I had to sleep with the window open and listen to the traffic all night. Terrible experience. Giving one star as the bed was very comfy and the staff were nice.
The hotel looked quite modern from the outside however my room was very dated and mould was all around the accessible shower, making it completly unusable and very unpleasant. I was only there for one night so made do. Plenty of parking on site. There was a gorgeous market square, just a 5minute walk from the hotel where i went for breakfast, after a recommendation from my friend - highly recommend this!
It’s in desperate need of a face lift. Very shabby. Staff were fine. Breakfast was limited as there would of been a choice but no items in the dishes
The Room was a little bit 'tired' but very clean. The staff were professional and courteous especially the Breakfast Team, The Manageress and Alicha deserve a creditable mention for fast and friendly service. All-in-all, a positive and enjoyable stay. Patrick S.
Room overheated due to faulty aircon. Couldn’t get room livable so asked to change room. Got given a second room but on entering discovered someone else had the room already. In the third room the bed was really uncomfortable but there were no more rooms so I had to put up with it.
The reception staff were warm and nice.
Location is perfect, staff was rude and unhelpful. I felt very unwelcome .
Near Altringham town centre
Shower was very unsafe, on AC, window opened up onto rooftop. Ok, for one night stay.
Room was awful. Small and dingy. The lobby is ok but when we asked for ice at the bar the girl said the ice machine wasn’t working and she went past us with a drink for herself with ice in it! This used to be a nice hotel
.
Would have been better if the receptionist at check in had smiled. Only one water glass in the room. £1.50 per day parking charge - really?
Great location. Room facilities very dated.
Over £100 to stay in a tiny room, the carpets were stained and we felt like we had gone back to the 80s. For such a big hotel in a nice town and not many other places to stay nearby it’s poor. Been to lots of Best Westerns and this is the worst. Needs some serious cash spending on it
Perfect for a one night stay. Breakfast excellent.
Stayed here for one night in between airport runs from Scotland and back. Room was clean and effective and the hotel facilities were great.
Perfect for getting to an early morning flight at Manchester airport Lovely room
Very comfortable stay
A last minute booking because another company cancelled the day before our arrival so thank you for saving us.We stayed for 2 nights for the Brit Fest. The Gentleman behind the desk was very friendly and talked to us about the event with genuine care and interest.Very central hotel with all amenities.I can recommend this for a stay.
Perfect on all accounts
Great
Good hotel within easy reach of Manchester airport, very good for a night before an early flight
Property is old and worn-out. The TV didn't work, had to change room. The sink tap is not combined, then the hot/cold water in the shower couldn't be adjusted. Water getting hotter and hotter, very uncomfortable and had to finish showering quickly. Will not come back again.
Location of hotel is within a 15mins walk to the town where there are shops, supermarkets, cafes and restaurants. Tram station is also nearby and is convenient to ride into Manchester town center. Room is clean and guest has to inform reception if he/she wants room cleaned. I was rather surprised that I did not have a sign to be hung on door knob for that service until I met a housecleaning staff who gave me a spare sign she has. I would stay in the hotel if I were to visit Manchester again.
Average hotel with good, helpful and friendly staff. Good location for town centre. Poor WIFI signal
Hotel ok
Starting with the positives, every member of staff we encountered was exceptionally helpful and great to deal with. The restaurant food was very good, and although the dinner menu was unimaginative, everything was beautifully cooked and good to eat. Breakfast was also lovely. However, the hotel had a bit of a tired feel overall and the room we stayed in could do with a refurb. Having said this, the beds were comfortable and the room was a good temperature. Special mention for the shower - hot and powerful! Overall, a pleasant two night’s stay, only let down by aesthetics and decor.
Pleasant bar and restaurant area. Shower pump noisy and could not get water beyond warm; sink hot water was hot so shower related. Having window open can be noisy with passing traffic.
There is no mixer (tap) for the basin so I have to turn on both the hot water and cold water taps at same time to wash my face/hands where temperature is below 10deg in the morning. There are no separate shower area and no grab bars convenient to guest when getting in and out if bathtub after showering. A safety risk here.
Needs morr towels and enough toiletries per person had one set of towels for 3 and one shampoo for 3. Not rnough milk and tea etcfor 3 and only one glass in bayhroom and 2 cups.
Hotel is tired and needs a revamp but ok just for a night
Restaurant was first class and room was spotless also.
This was a horrible property
Decent hotel, rooms slightly dated but clean and spacious, very good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff
Great value for money
No hot water for one night, couldn’t charge food and drink to room with out paying separately, very very dated. Staff are fantastic and the only way this place stays open.
great spot, building may look a little tired, but clean functional breakfast was fantastic service was 1st class convenient to manchester airport good value for $ would stay there again. shops and restaurants easy walking distance a bonus
Have stayed here regularly and no issues except the bed is quite firm.
Complaint logged with Best Western. Very disappointing stay.
Great and very clean hotel and lovely service
Very convenient for transport links )M6 and rail / metrolink services)
Convenient location and friendly staff
The hotel was very good value for money, close to amenities however at times throughout the night our room was disturbed by noise externally and other rooms due to poor acoustics.
Great hotel for the price paid. Only downside was that hotel only had 1 x EV charger which was broken so a little bit of an inconvenience.
Room was nice facing the road though so not very quite as it was a main road had to have the windows open it was so hot breakfast was ok but olif you go early it's not nice bacon like cardboard couldn't change the toaster setting so toast was burnt eggs on the hot plate too long, beans were cold day two was better as I went about 8.30 Ammaarah didn't try the cooked breakfast though after day one
We used this hotel the night before catching a morning flight. It is conveniently located for the airport. The staff are friendly and happy to do all they can for guests but the accomodation was just poor. The room was quite small and dirty. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. We had been here before about 5 or 6 years ago but this is not now a place I would stay again.
The bedroom was tatty and very small. It was badly in need of a refurbishment as did all the corridors and stars are. The general approach and appearance of the building is of a run diwn property.
Convenience for Altrincham
A bit run-down. Expensive for what it was. The bedroom and bathroom were very small.
The receptionist made a mistake about the booking thinking I’d only booked one room whereas I’d booked two. She only believed me when I showed her the confirmation email. Otherwise ok
A little bit run down . Room was clean but a bit shabby.
Cant believe best western put there name to this hotel.
This is fine for a business trip or stay when on a budget. The rooms I booked were £56 each so they were fine. There is evidence of black mould on the ceilings and tiles of the bathrooms and one of the chairs in one of the rooms had a very ugly stain on it which I avoided sitting on. The bed is comfortable. There is a desk to work at and the lighting is good. The curtain in one of the rooms was off the track so had to repair that myself. Very nice reception and bar area.
No daily cleaning and no heating in the room after the weekend.
A very pleasant and very well kept hotel. Reception area, bar and breakfast room very spacious and pleasant to spend time in.
Room rather cold. Windows not very soundproof.
Regularly stay here when attending Manchester United home games. Good value with easy parking and very near to town center. Excellent ram service into Manchester. Beer a little pricey in the hotel but there are nearby alternatives. Breakfast OK.
Highly disappointed about "low standards" of hotel room - room was nothing like photo on expedia site. Bed had a Wooden headboard& so uncomfortable - noisy could even hear people using toilet next door & toilet flushing in the night !!. Windows had excessive condensation & no air con" Old style shower with mixer taps, over a bath. Bed smaller than average hotel size of double-bed . Stain on chair. Leaking toilet cistern. Church bells were very loud- 9am til 9.30am, on a Sunday woke me up - i would not stay here ever again. Told reception staff on check out but no offer of any discount of £51 i had paid before arrival. Should of asked for a refund & moved to a different hotel when i first saw the room.
checkin was quick and easy had a minor issue with the room reported it and was offerd a room swap which i declined as it was nothing major. Me and my dad had a room each and from checkin to check out our rooms were not serviced at all. on one trip back to reception to ask for more tea milk n sugar i mentioned that the rooms had not been serviced i was asked if i had let reception know on my way out (i hadnt) but as hotels.com list daily house keeping i didnt see any need to. upon checkout the receptionist did not ask how our stay was or if there is anything wrong with the room etc i basically had to inturupt her to mention that a bulb had gone in the table lamp (only that night).
Stay here regularly and usually fine. This time though no heating in room. Reception did provide an electric heater but really should not have been necessary in first place. Some kind of gesture / apology would have been appreciated,
Lovely room but only two teabags. The lift wasn't working so we had to walk up two flights of stairs with luggage. Breakfast was good but no jam to have with the croissants.
Good customer service
Good location for trains into Manchester and local restaurants great parking
The hotel convenient for visiting family in nearby nursing hime.
I felt that the price was a little high for the quality of the room. The staff were nice and a there was a generally nice vibe here so i wouldnt say no to staying again. The room was warm but i felt it could have been cleaner , however it wasnt unacceptable.
Didn't start well. taking over 15 minutes to check in. This was the third or fourth time I'd stayed here, but the convenience (for me) of the location is the only reason I'd do so again. We had spent the previous night in a Travelodge in central Manchester. To our considerable suprise that exceeded both our expectations and our experience at the Cresta Court in almost every way: efficiency of check-in, size of room, size and quality of bathroom, bar opening time and price. In the interests of fairness I should state that Cresta Court provides superior toilet paper
