Park Town Hotel

Great river view. Clean attractive room. Comfortable bed and bedding. Microwave.

They disable the air conditioning in the rooms for the fall and winter. We only had fan option, no cooling. Hotel gave us an electric fan, but was still not cool enough for sleeping. This is not an acceptable practice for a hotel in my opinion.

The hot tub did not work properly. The bathroom was cramped for space & there were no hooks to hang anything.

The description on booking.com described a pool and sauna. I booked the hotel for the sauna and was planning an evening around it. When I arrived I was told there has not been a sauna at the hotel for 20 or more years. I'd like my money back please.

Location was very nice across from the river, but construction in the area was a nuisance. The Jets on the hot tub weren’t working, which was a bit disappointing.

I had to ask for coffee pods and water for the room. They were provided immediately.😊

Being offered an upgrade , was a highlight. The room was so beautiful with the big window, sitting area. Everything exceeded my expectations and I am hard to please! Nancy is happy! haha

There are so many homeless people hanging around the parking area and we felt genuinely unsafe. We were approached for money, the parking garage reeked of urine and we saw two homeless men sneak in through a door. I would not stay here again simply because I don’t feel it’s safe to park your car or walk to and from your car at any time of day or night. If this was not an issue I would absolutely stay again, but genuinely we felt so unsafe whenever we had to exit the hotel.

The renovations really upgraded The Parktown. The restaurant food was excellent. We appreciated the gated parking and the shuttle.

The shuttle picked us up quite late.

The view of the river was absolutely beautiful. Clean, bright, fresh accommodation. Very helpful and friendly staff.

The bathroom door is a sliding barn door that sits 1-2 inches away from the wall so that anyone outside the bathroom can see into the bathroom, not to mention that you can hear everything happening inside the bathroom from outside of it. Gross! No privacy. It was very weird.

The location was excellent as we love to walk. We found a park nearby and explored the neighbourhoods close to the bridge.

I wish that the parking fee would have been clearer. When scrolling the hotel highlights, I saw “parking on site” and assumed it was free. Even after an email from them about my vehicle model and make, there was no mention of a parking fee. After (just now) inspecting their page, I saw the mention of the $15 a day. I think this should be highlighted that it is “PAID parking on site”.

Great place to stay while my husband was in the hospital. The restaurant was excellent.

It was ok; however, the primary reason we booked this resort was that they advertised a hot tub, and since my wife had numerous back surgeries a hot tub was a necessity! The did have a hot tub, but it did not work! This should have been disclosed to us at time of booking, but was not!

Room was comfortable

There was a group of young girls on our floor that I think they thought the has the whole floor. At night it was not noisy but in the morning the were going back and forth from room to room so there was lots off doors slamming and talking in the hallway at 7:00 am. We were having such a great sleep. The smoked window in the bathroom was odd. When light goes on in the night it could send light into the whole room potentially waking them up. Did not like having to pay an extra $15.00 for parking. That info should have been included on the site when booking.

Proximity to the Park and River

The area downtown may not be safe, homeless people in park and scratchy folks walking about

A well maintained older building - everything in my room had been upgraded - excellent sitting area, dining table/desk, TV - small kitchenette. Bed was very comfortable and the sheets were pleasant. You could tell that the management look after this property: staff were very friendly and the restaurant served good hearty food with lots of variety.

I was upgraded to a King suite - which was nice- but the view was of the back-side utility area of the hotel and I was next to the stairs which made it a bit noisy during active hours. No issues once things had calmed down though.

We rented an executive King suite that was river facing. The view was great, the bed was comfy and we really liked lounging on the couch by the window. The room had an upscale feel, with free loufas for the shower, glass cups and shampoos dispensers that save on waste.

We booked through Booking.com and parking wasn't included in the price. So that was an extra $15 we didn't expect. I did see that it is included if booking direct though so that is something to be aware of when looking for deals.

The only thing is the bathroom doors dont fully close because they're barn door so everyone can hear you pooping! haha

The hotel is very clean as was the room we stayed in. No carpet on the floors in our room and everything was clean and in like new condition.

Upgrades have made a big difference. The rooms are very nicely updated. Bathrooms are unfortunately small, one person max in there (which when trying to all get ready at the same time isn’t ideal). Parkade covered parking, with security gates that close for the night. Restaurant is quite nice with good food. Location is pretty central for getting around. Would stay there again.

I was amazed how clean it was when they were obviously busy. Room was spotless and well appointed. Kudos to your housekeeping team. Staff were very kind and helpful and when I had to move my reservation due to weather, they were super accommodating. View of the river was nice. Great place to stay even if your business isn’t downtown.

The facility is quiet, clean and in a great location.

I like to be able to use stairs in a hotel, both for exercise and because I don't like being enclosed in elevators. That seemed to cause difficulty, perhaps due to construction so I used the elevator.

The Room was wonderful and location was great. We could easily walk to the theatre for our play.

Was very disappointed that parking and breakfast were not included in the price. The coffee supplied in the room was terrible, and the coffee maker was very difficult to use. It did not work right at all.

The hotel staff and servers are kind and wonderful. The breakfast is out of this world delicious. Lunch and supper is the same menu and not that appealing sorry to say. Prices are a little too high. Other than that, the rooms are comfortable and the shuttle was some what good, but were too busy to always be available. They should get at least three drivers for shuttle. I rate this hotel a 4 out of 5. Awesome staff

this was the best rate downtown and got a medical rate to for 175 plus tax. it was a block down from where i had my eye surgery so very convienient as well to the mall downtown. loved our river view room. It was large, clean and sleep quality was excellant even being two doors down from the elevator. small bar fridge and microwave and coffee maker. pillows and mattress comfy. Room temp a little cool. did not see a lock on the sliding bathroom door not an issue for us. great use of bathtub with amble towels provided. this was a good experience for three adults in a double queen and having a very negative experience at the Bessbourough for my past surgery last year i would not hesitate to book here again. We loved the 4 seasons restaurant for supper and got a 8.00 per person off for breakfast next day. We had requested early checkin and late check out being on a different time zone and the front desk staff were so nice and accommodating. Parking is in the parkade right beside. Definately will return

Very nice well appointed clean and comfortable hotel. Very comfortable king sized bed, Nespresso Coffee machine in the room. Restaurant was very nice for breakfast - Eggs Benedict was fantastic.

Nothing I can think of

I liked everything about this hotel. The staff were helpful and efficient. The room was large and included everything (fridge, coffee, iron, extra pillow and even slippers). It was clean and comfortable. The beds were firm and comfortable and the lighting around the base was a nice esthetic. The parking garage was well lit and felt secure. The room we rented was with a view of the river. The bathroom was clean and included all you need in shower.

The only complaint was it could have used more seating. We ate in, and so we could have used a table. The counter space was large enough to eat from, but with only one chair, it left someone having to sit on the bed to eat. We found the window was older so it didn't close properly and you could feel a breeze if you stood next to it. Once the curtains were closed for the night it was unnoticeable. The view of the river was quitenice, but it's also at the corner of a busy intersection and even on the third floor you could hear the louder traffic. It was not very bothersome, just noticeable.

Bathroom had a couple of quirks. The hooks for large bath towels were not secure and fell off the wall more than once. Toilet seat was on crooked so it was a little weird when one sat on it. Also there was no full length mirror anywhere in the room.

It was beautiful, good view from the restaurant the food was amazing at the breakfast restaurant “four seasons” the staff was so friendly as well!

I asked for sparkling non alcoholic wine and they gave me sparkling juice. (Should have been told as it’s not the same & I got charged $20 for it) I paid for a parking stall and had a ton of luggage and gear and I was in a spot up close when I returned after spending some time down town someone took my Spot and the decided to move me up to the second floor parking.

I stayed here for one night in October while on a business trip. The location was ideal, right close to the river and close to my conference. The staff were very friendly and check in was seamless. The room (City King) was on the cheaper side for Saskatoon at 200 / night. I was given a complimentary upgrade despite it being my first time staying at the hotel in many years. The suite I got instead was great! Big tv in living room and big tv and electric wall mounted fire place. I had breakfast at the restaurant on site. The food was great and the views of the park were even better. The only small criticism is that I found parking before I checked in confusing. You need a key card to get into the parkade so you have to find some other place to park until you check in. Not a big problem but it would be ideal if this was clearly labelled somehow. Regardless of this bit pick I will stay here whenever I come to Saskatoon from now on.

We stayed in a king bed suite with a river view and it was very nice. We were on the top floor and had a great view of the riverfront area. There was room for a small couch and coffee table which made it very easy to relax in the room between city excursions. Breakfast in the dining room was good and we were given a discount voucher to cover part of the meal. There is open area parking and secure assigned parking for guests. They do have a free shuttle service that we did not use. Walking in the riverfront park was pleasant. It's a short walk to the downtown area. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay there again on future trips to Saskatoon.

Such a great little hotel, the brunch buffet was awesome and the room was so clean and beautiful. The only thing we disliked was the noise from the Irish bar below us but overall a great place and my next choice if I ever come back to Saskatoon.

Let me start this off.. by saying this is by far the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at in Saskatoon the customer service,and hospitality literally blew me away! They were very helpful, as my wife was in the hospital for a surgery and they were very accommodating with extending parking and shuttle service. The room was very clean and had all options that we needed, the restaurant and pub were very good as well. The shuttle was definitely an added bonus as parking at the hospital is a headache to say the least. All front desk staff, and shuttle drivers were very friendly. Would definitely stay here again!
