Put us in a room that seem more like a hospital room, not in main area. Check in staff was not friendly.

We absolutely loved the hotel. It was beautiful, with gorgeous views, and the amenities were more than enough, even though we didn’t have time to enjoy all of them. Everything was very clean, and the hotel smelled amazing throughout. We also loved the convenience of the Island bus—it was dependable, easily accessible, and picked us up right at the hotel, making it so easy to get to the main area for shopping and restaurants. We didn’t interact much with the staff during our stay, but overall, the hotel made a wonderful impression and we would definitely stay again.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay, but a couple of things affected our experience. I didn’t feel the hotel’s food prices matched the quality. Given the prices, I expected better quality and value. I also had an uncomfortable experience with a staff member at the entrance. Before I had even had a chance to properly park or think about unloading, he began taking our belongings, putting them on a cart, and taking them toward our room. I asked him to wait, but he continued. I understand he was trying to help, but his actions left me feeling rushed and confused. There was very little communication—he simply took over rather than asking what we needed. These issues didn’t ruin our stay, but they did affect our overall impression. I hope the hotel considers both the value of its dining options and the importance of giving guests time to get settled at their own pace.

I love the convenience. It was very close to downtown Bar Harbor area. I also love that after a long day we could just order food in the resort to our room without having to leave the resort. The hot tub and pool were a bonus. We had fun playing pickle ball on the courts outside.

Very easy to pick up the shuttle bus to take you into the town, Great facilities and friendly staff .

Perhaps need a training session on how to make a cup of tea like an English person.

Great waterfront location just a few minutes from bar harbor. The free island shuttle picks up at the hotel so you don’t have to drive down and look for parking.

The in-room fridge, the microwave available for guests, and the laundry facilities make the hotel very convenient, especially for longer stays.

Maybe because I booked through Booking.com, we were given what was probably one of the worst rooms in the hotel. It was located close to the staff facilities, was quite noisy, and had a noticeable humidity problem.

The property was very nice and clean.

When we called we booked an ocean front room. The woman on phone assured us that it was ocean front. When we got there, we were told it was a standard room and we were put in a first floor room with a view of a big bush right next to balcony. The front door staff acted like we were lying.

Beautiful ocean front property . Heated outdoor pool and hot tub. Free Island Explorer bus stop on site to take you to various places in Bar Harbor!

The waitstaff and bartenders were amazing. The view of the harbor were beautiful. The food was excellent.

It was a beautiful property.

We were given a room that was for a person who is in a wheelchair. Therefore, when it was turned on got the entire floor wet and slippery. Not sure why were given this room.

it was a classic bait and switch. arriving after a 6 hour drive with our 3 kids, they first said they overbooked, realizing that I was nog happy with that, they changed their story to some BS thing aboht rooms being flooded and than they pushed us to an event location elsewhere. horrible people. big warning to anyone considering to book this place: do not book.

The overall facility was nice. Parking was excellent. We used booking.com to book our room and when we got to the hotel the hotel was overbooked and the staff tried to move us into another hotel in downtown by telling us it was an upgrade. We were in town for a wedding at the Stone House and wanted to stay at this hotel since the Stone House is on the same property. We eventually got the hotel staff to open up and tell us what happened and that they were telling us that we had to stay downtown. To their credit, the hotel staff got us a room at the Holiday Inn, but it was a second story room in the main building with an ugly roof/AC view. I appreciate that they at least found a way for us to stay there, but it was a bit of a downer considering the ~ $600 a night room charge.

The staff in the hotel was helpful (front desk, cleaners). Room clean and didn’t hear much through halls or walls. Loved the hydration stations and coffee station. Grounds were nice and the tennis courts and lawn games a bonus.

It was overpriced IMO. We ate at the restaurant down at the dock- the service was not great and a cook was seen vaping, food presentation not great or worth coming back for more. The pool could have used toilet facilities& showers nearby.

You liked everything about the property - absolutely beautiful. We particularly appreciated that the coffee was available all day and it was good coffee! The shuttle was absolutely fantastic and very efficient. The staff was extremely helpful and very friendly.

I have booked a pool view balcony room but we got ‘upgraded’ to an ocean view. Turned out the room was right next to the large AC unit. The balcony had up to 80 decibel level noise. They moved us the next day but it ruined one evening out of the two we spent there. Make sure the room you are getting is not 246 or near that.

The property has a beautiful waterfront setting with a wonderful atmosphere. The grounds are very well maintained, the landscaping is attractive, and the resort has a relaxing coastal feel. We especially appreciated the spacious layout, the pool area, and the outdoor spaces overlooking the water. The location is excellent, providing easy access to Acadia National Park while remaining peaceful and away from the crowds. Overall, the property itself is beautiful and makes a great first impression.

The water views were amazing! Excellent friendly service from the employees and the restaurant was very good too. Loved that it is on the shuttle bus route to downtown and to Acadia Park.

We stayed in a room right by the exit door. When leaving, the dumpster was right there. It smelled terrible. There was a dumping sight right next to it. To pay over $350.00 a night that's unacceptable!!!

When. I booked I wanted an ocean view. Somehow I ended up with a Standard King balcony room.

One morning, we waited about an hour for breakfast, which wasn’t the greatest, but we dealt with it. Also, I thought the price was a little steep for a room in the Holiday Inn. The ground for the Regency were very nice.

The location was noce. The view from the room was nice. The room was very small.

Well, we paid heavily for a "premium king" but we're put in a standard king sized room. Although we paid extra upfront for bringing our dog, they charged us another $75/night for having a dog. We disclosed this information when we originally booked the room. We think the $34]0 plus the extra $450. Was a bit much for a five night stay. The bellman was a real snob and was laughing at us and making nasty remarks every time he passed a co worker while taking our bags (and dog crate) to the room. We decided to "do it ourselves" when we checked out. Despite the fact that we gave him a rather nice tip. We could hear the baby screaming in the adjacent room. The other couple thay occupied the adjacent room were extremely loud well beyond the normal "quiet" hours.

Restaurants not walkable, driving necessary unless use the bus system. Restaurant was very warm, not fully air conditioned.

The pool is impossible to find a spot to sit. None of the three days did we find a spot within a reasonable amount of time. Pool bar is understaffed and took forever for a drink.

Room was great with the balcony overlooking the pool and ocean. We had breakfast a couple of days there and it was excellent. Having a bus to take you downtown was fantastic!

It was raining and we were located in building 3. They did not offer a covered way to the main building where the restaurant and amenities are. Maybe a golf cart shuttle?

Our room was a newly renovated room. It was lovely.

I had to walk with the bell hop around the building in the parking lot. Our room was in a building that didn't have an elevator. I literally carried my own bags down two flights of stairs. The tiki bar wasn't setup yet. The outside restaurant wasn't happening either. These were the things that were advertised in the booking process. For over 400 a night what a rip off. No staff could speak fluent English

My daughter enjoyed the pool/hot tub.

My sheets & comforter were not clean. Plenty of stains. For the price, I wish we were in the real hotel not the side building.

Beds were comfy, bathroom was very modern.

Unfortunately, our balcony view faced the parking lot.

Noise from the next room as the joining door had inadequate noise suppression. One night your colleague moved us to a different room for that night due to the snoring from the next room. 5 dollars for one slice of toast!

The rating system used by booking.com is misleading and I’m questioning if the hotel is tampering with the reviews and rates, or paying booking.com to do it. I’ll start out by saying that the only thing that saved the states from being dissapointing, is the location of the hotel. The page on booking.com for this property is misleading. At least for the rooms or building I stayed at. I booked a king room, and for some reason got a standard room with two full beds. Which is absolutely unacceptable and has been a repeating pattern with booking.com. Next, the star rating for the hotel says 4 stars on booking.com and this is a lie and misleading. There is construction going on everywhere, balconies missing railings, mouse traps, old fixtures and broken fixtures. Sure the lobby is elegant and the pool and hot tub area is a nice touch, but visitors would spend at most, 20% if not less of their time using these amenities given where they are. The stay itself was not entirely dissapointing but the process of booking through “booking.com” has continued to dissapoint time and time again.

Not everything was open and couldn't get the full experience of the hotel.

We loved everything about the hotel except the breakfast. The coffee was make your own with a machine and the croissants were very basic. We expected a choice of muffins and maybe some danish pastries. I think this was disappointing and the presentation was poor. I think the hotel could do much better.
