We love the location and cleanliness of everything. Breakfast was awesome. It was so close to downtown shops and restaurants that you can walk. We would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed a lovely three night stay at the Inn on Mount Desert! It has an amazing location -- a quick walk to town (5 minutes!), which makes coming and going simple and removes any stress of driving around the busy downtown area and paying for parking. The room was perfect for our family of 4 (2 queen beds). Breakfast was wonderful -- a choice of 2 entrees + other breakfast items (freshly baked muffins, cereal, yogurt, fruit) -- plus freshly baked treats were available in the afternoon. The staff was accommodating and kind. The Inn has simple touches that make it feel like home -- such a board games, a library of books, a billiard room, and a fantastic deck for dining and hanging. While it is not the most updated establishment (though not missing any needed amenities!), it appeared to be comparable to other inns that we saw around town. Would definitely book again if we were to return.

Loved this property! Very comfortable and clean rooms. Ours was on the ground floor with a beautiful garden where monarch butterflies would greet us in the morning. The breakfast was delicious as well. Would definitely stay again!

Tiny bathroom and the room was very clean but too much furniture in our room for the size of the room.

Location was perfect. Walking distance to the center of town. Plenty of parking and the breakfast was amazing. Everyday was something different but was nicely displayed and really tasty! They also had fresh baked snacks in the afternoon. Nice way to end the day with a fresh baked cookie. The room had plenty of space and the beds were comfortable. I would recommend staying here!

Friendly staff at all hours of the day! Daily hot breakfast was a treat. Afternoon snack was much appreciated after hiking all day. Location is perfect for the town - close enough to walk where we want but far enough away from the busy aspect of town.

Had a pool table but no accessories to use it. The sticks (n=2) had no or very thin tips and even if they did have good tips, no chalk for tips or for hands.

Breakfasts are especially good here.

En revanche, nous avons été un peu déçus par les équipements : la canne de billard était cassée et certaines machines de sport ne fonctionnaient pas, ce qui donne une impression de manque d’entretien. Le petit-déjeuner est très simple, mais reste efficace.

We truly liked our experience, especially thanks to the staff who made us feel right at home. The breakfast selection was simply but delicious. The room’s decoration added a lovely touch to our visit, making it feel warm and inviting. We also found the shared room space to be very comfortable and a great spot to relax.

While we really enjoyed the staff and the breakfast, we found the room to be a bit small, especially considering that it was the offseason. Since the weather wasn’t great, we spent more time in the room than expected, which made the limited space more noticeable. If there’s an opportunity for a larger room on a future visit, we would truly appreciate it.

This was my first time staying here and it was a solo visit. I felt very safe and comfortable. Great location, staff and property. The room was adorable and very clean. Breakfast was yummy! I will definitely stay here again.

The only thing I didn't like was that my room was right next to the stairwell exit and I could hear the door slamming shut when people came in and out.

Everything was served on paper/plastic— not a real glass, cup, mug, or plate in the place. Unfriendly staff- no personal feel to it at all. Just a little bit more effort and this could be a great place.

A beautiful and simple Inn. The staff is so kind and helpful the location is wonderful. We’ve stayed here twice now, both times during the winter months and it is so peaceful and warm. Breakfast is fantastic and the cookies they leave out every day is such a nice touch. Rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable.

Only one extra chair in room and bed too high for me

I made a reservation a month in advance and even put down a deposit, expecting my booking to be secure. However, on the day of check-in at 7 PM, I received a call from someone named Conner telling me there was a “plumbing issue” with my room. Instead of offering a proper alternative, he suggested I rebook at a 1-star motel nearby, calling it a “cheaper” option — as if that made it acceptable. If I wanted a budget motel, I would’ve booked one myself. Since I was driving for 5+hours, I asked my husband, who was at home, to speak with Conner. Only then did Conner offer a 2-star hotel, which was still not what I paid for or wanted. I ended up having to rebook a 2-star hotel myself around 9 PM, just to have a place to sleep. The entire situation was extremely disappointing. I made the effort to book early and secure my stay, only to be let down at the last minute with no real solution. The way this was handled — the poor communication, the shifting explanations, and the complete disregard for the deposit I made — was unprofessional and unacceptable. Would not recommend booking here.

The breakfast was fresh options , cooked upon order and delivered with a smile Walking distance to every thing downtown Cooper - front desk young man was excellent- friendly- personal and went out of his way to make everyone feel “at home “ We stayed 5 days and he was excellent every day with offering tourism places based on what we were interested in - very helpful advice every day .

Extremely over priced for a really small room, moldy shower. Weird kitchen in the lobby with muffins left out on a table. No overnight staff in case of emergency or questions.
