The room 8 was extremely uncomfortable. It was very small with steeply pitched ceiling making standing upright a challenge. The shower was dirty with mold, a dripping sink that did not drain well. The quality of the breakfast was poor with cheap and tasteless bakery products. Minuscule portions of porridge and no fruit.

A bit more choice for breakfast, e.g. cereal as well as cooked breakfast. More vegetables with the evening meal.

Reviewed Aug 13, 2026This was my second visit and it met all my expectations. The room was large , comfortable and clean. The staff go above and beyond for every customer. Breakfast was super yummy and plenty of choice and kept us full. The location is perfect and right in the centre of everything. Great for me as I have mobility issues so kept the walking to a minimum.
I really haven’t got anything negative to say. If I was being picky, the only downside were the stairs to the room but didn’t affect my stay

The room was tiny, high up in the eaves with sloping ceilings so my 6’2 husband couldn’t move without bumping his head. The bathroom sink was an absolutely tiny corner unit, almost inaccessible. As usual with Booking.com bookings, we felt that we’d been given the worst room as we didn’t book direct.

La situation géographique est parfaite pour parcourir la New Forest. Nous avions loué deux chambres un peu petites mais très confortables. Les salles de bain étaient toutes neuves, équipées de douches fermées.
Les lits sont très mous ! Les petits-déjeuners ne sont servis qu'à partir de 8H30, ce qui est un peu tard lorsque l'on souhaite optimiser sa journée !

Reviewed Jun 24, 2026The Burley Inn is in an excellent location and we enjoyed our stay and looking round the village. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable and the prices very reasonable.
My wife and I had a cooked breakfast each but there were no baked beans included or offered. A traditional cooked breakfast should come with baked beans.

Reviewed Jun 23, 2026All the staff were fantasic, but Marina really stood out. She gave us ideas of where to go and what to see, especially the Rufus stone (neither of us had even heard of this). She also came out to say goodbye. Food and drink was also excellent. We will definitely be back. Brilliant place.

The wi-fi, whilst secure (unlike some other establishments) was intermittent, often dropping out mid activity. Burley is also a mobile signal desert which meant that we were incommunicado for much of the time.

The breakfast lady was always smiling, as soon as you sat down nothing was to much trouble she is an asset to the team🙂The rooms were cleaned daily, fresh towels,tea coffee,bottled water and biscuits were always available in your room, thank you. All bar staff were helpful had great knowledge on the area and made you feel at home thank you to everyone for making our stay so enjoyable. Ps Ronnie 🐶your adorable to

The rooms are very small the fixtures and fittings in the rooms are outdated. The menu is limited and it mainly seems to be processed food. Very few options for real home cooked pub food. The car park is small. For what you get it is definitely overpriced

The one issue was not being able to get out in the morning , as someone accidentally double locked the door , however it was just for a cigarette so I left it , but had there been a fire , it might of been a different story
