Indlovukazi Guesthouse

Indlovukazi was good value for money Javas took good care of us, we were 6 ladies and our driver. Good location to the Upside-down house, little Paris and Hartbeespoort dam. If you think of visiting any of the 3 Indlovukazi is the ideal place to stay. Thanks once again Javas❤️

The place is beautiful but needs maintenance it's not bad but it's not well maintained.

Could've been cleaner. The carpet in the room was dusty and dirty, and affected my sinuses. The bed cover & sheet had stains. Balcony doors weren't locking. The check in process was also weird. WiFi wasn't connecting for the whole weekend, and despite asking for help, no one came to assist.

Unfortunately, the Guesthouse disappointed my team as there was no hot water in the bathrooms, secondly the lights were not working, no water on the other taps, and the accommodation is not even convenient for people with disability.

Before accepting the bookings the manager must ensure that all the maintenance work is done, because they were aware of, rather than accepting guests and had to move to the other guesthouse which they call their sister....... we initially checked in at the guest house but due to the property issues, we had to move to the other guesthouse whereby we were not comfortable with, the place standard was very law as compared to Indlovukazi. We also felt that the money that we paid does not worth the accommodation as there was no value for money. I wish the management can contact us to explain what need to happen in terms of the money paid without the credible or valued service.

I liked the stay

I didn't like that the intercom at the gate didn't work which caused me to wait for 10 min outside in the cold and also that the pictures shown in the app didn't match and also that there is no communication since I've been left of read for asking for my things

The staff was exceptionally kind and friendly.

The room I was allocated into wasn't an ensuite, going outside to access the bathroom wasn't comfortable for me.

The hospitality was warm, the service was impeccable, and every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. If you’re looking for a peaceful escape where you can truly relax and feel special, this is definitely the place to be.

The only minor inconvenience was the load shedding, which was understandably beyond their control.

The hosts were amazing, available to assist, friendly and understanding.

The power kept tripping on the 2nd evening. This went on for like 3 hours. My aircon was malfunctioning so I could not sleep as it was cold. The shower also leaks water into the bedroom (plumbing issue), so as I was trying to sort out the power issue I stepped into water in the dark and cold night, wetting my socks. I ended up with no socks to keep my feet warm and no electricity to warm the room. That was an unpleasant experience.

I liked everything about it. Stuff so friendly, always there to help. It is an awesome and amazing place to be. It is peaceful.

The problem of the wifi. It was not connecting 100%.

It was my birthday weekend and the staff (Dudu & Javas) made it extra special. They sang for me and had amazing chats and laughter. Breakfast was also amazing.They even offered to take me pictures, what an amazing human beings.

Nothing - property and rooms not like the pictures on the Booking.com app. The rating does not relate to the actual facility.

The property is very dilapidated and in need of maintenance. No desk in the room. Kettle on the floor, had to unplug the fridge to use it. No milk supplied. Room nothing like the pictures. Lights not working. Breakfast only from 08:00 - not suitable for a business trip. I could not get an invoice.

The WiFi connection, we couldn’t even watch anything on the tv. The switched hot/cold water tap, I spent close to 15 minutes with the tap running thinking there’s no hot water but the moment I moved the tap from the hot side to the cold.

Breakfast: Firstly, the establishment needs a cook, the gentleman tried but it was just too oily, bacon had no taste at all as if it's old and has been in the freezer for long. No variety on cereal. Room no.7, is a big room which will need a table, we can't place our meals/ snacks/ phones / laptop, ontop of a bar fridge. The bathroom down lights some were out not working, the bathroom is DARK. The whole place has no ash trays for smokers outside! Not even on the balcony. Wooden steps are a harzard a person can easily trip and fall. The wiFi just would not connect.

The overall look and atmosphere was good, Dudu was amazing and the staff are polite.

It was so disappointing to find out that the "Hot Tubs" / "Spa Baths" only look like jacuzzis. It really felt like manipulative and false advertising. The ads and online listings all state "Hot Tubs" this and that. When we got to our room, we immediately filled the "hot tub" and tried to turn it on - nothing happened. After putting in a request to be moved to a room where the "hot tub" actually works we were notified that - "All the hot tubs only function as baths". This was absolutely disgusting considering the only reason I booked was for a private "hot tub" experience. FALSE ADVERTISING at its best.

You don’t have gate remote but had to insist for one ! Had to plug kettle under the table of kitchen let , had to go n ask for good coffee n iron , no iron board In room, ceiling got water marks , no soap holder in shower even towel holders no maths on sides of bed only three hangers in wardrobe electric DB exposed inside wardrobe ! Online looks perfect but not really( the room but the sitting n dining room are good) . Online said 1 available but there were plenty available

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The braai are was very spacious and conveniently close to the kitchen. The bed had clean linen and was very comfortable.

The room size was small for the price, and I think even though the large bathroom was supposed to be the highlight, we had problems with the shower head, which had fallen off during a shower, which was followed by residue... It had to be replaced. The room wasn't situated in a very private area, as an adjacent door to our room's, served entry into a public toilet... in fact one of the guests opened our door, as it was mistaken for the bathroom. Attention to detail with regards to cleaning needs to be looked at, as there was a lot of dust underneath the bed. We would've loved to play pool, however the table cloth and sticks are damaged.

The bookings is cheaper with bookings. Com but direct is expensive I thought it would be the same with Bookings. Com but it was double the price I wanted to extend my stay unfortunately I couldn't because of the double price they charge me

I loved everything, more especially massage from Dudu and Java was always there ready to assist with anything we needed

The geographic position was convenient and situated in a safe and quiet place. In proximity there were some good supermarkets and restaurants. The personnel were very friendly.

The bedroom was simple and not very comfortable. The wardrobe smelled bad; I kept my clothes in my suitcase. On the sink was no water; I could open an alimentation valve underneath but only for the cold water. I would appreciate a mirror in the bathroom.

We liked everything,my wife also loved the place she wants to revisit with her Girls club. I would also like to visit as mens forum club that would need a bigger place as we are inviting another social club of our old friends accommodation should be having self catering or breakfast inclusive in it,Hiking/Trailing facilities etc...

Not that I don't appreciate Indlovukasi parking area but at a shelter could add more value to the visitors

The place was very clean and the staff were all out to help, Therence, Sylvia and Javas were very good people . The brakefast was delicious and their hospitality was great.

I liked everything about the house but most importantly, Mavis and Javas were the best host. They made our stay very comfortable and always nearby when needed, coming back here would definitely be because of their hospitality.

I could not actually enjoy the facility. One hour out to enter JHB from driving up from KZN I received a notification that I have been moved due to maintenance. The new guesthouse they moved me I had to share the double bed with my mate, as the facility did not have two single beds as originally booked. Our room also did not have any fridge and considering we came up to run the om die dam ultra we had to go purchase a cooler to keep race day essentials cool.

The staff humble

It is mot what is in booking.com advert, at all, had a shock. Office called and indicated they are not responsible for what is advertised by Bookoing.com. The cockrotches in the room, bathroom basin only gave hot water. Old tab in the room with bed, tea station as there is no kitchen , ensuite is only shower and toilet. No toiletries given low class, no quality liquid something -no foam as shower gel. Small swimming pool not as big as in Booking .com pictures. Cracked/ scratched smelly wardrobe and cupboard, dirty garden. Worst case scenario only 2 employees doing everything or is it because they are desperate foreigners! Kitchen was far, cracked plates, very old pans. To me not value for money the room i was offered.

The staff was welcoming and friendly especially Terrence.He made us feel at home from the moment we entered the premises.

The place had flies that are attracted by light 🚨 and small crawling insects,wanted to stay outside for a nightcap but I couldn't because of the crawling insects,when I got home I had bumps from insect bites 😔.The place also needs thorough cleaning

Bathroom was dirty and had exposed wires. The bed was very hard. Towels were old and had holes in them. There was a lot of mess around the property and no enforcing the other guests to be mindful of noise and considerate of others.

Insects, especially at night, felt like ticks. You might need pest control, because while sleeping, they were there, making it seem like they were bedbugs.

Location was perfect, the staff so wonderful and professional. Great breakfast.
