Such a perfect local location to everything in Newport. The inn was very clean, housekeeping was great! The convenience of a nice yet simple continental breakfast was an added treat!!

Everyone was so friendly and extremely helpful. Place was within walking distance to town. We had a balcony which was amazing and the rooftop deck was an added bonus.

Would have enjoyed the rooftop deck open later. Closed at sunset. But not a negative thing to say.

Staff was so friendly. We arrived to complementary sangria in the lobby. It was so good! They also gave us a welcome bag with goodies. Location was excellent and we walked to the shops and restaurants by the water. Rooftop patio was also great.

The location is amazing - you are within walking distance to restaurants/shops/sights, parking was easy (their parking lot has plenty of space) and they had bike storage as well. The front desk staff is friendly and very helpful - if you need anything they'll help you out. Breakfast delivery was nice - but the best part was enjoying it on our deck (amazing view). The townhouse suites are very well laid out and the AC works great. Also want to shout out that the fitness area is nice.

There was an issue with the electrical outlet in our room (where the coffee maker & electric kettle was plugged in). We reported it to the front desk - they were super nice about it & hopefully it is fixed for next guests.

Wow, what a perfect little inn in the heart of downtown Newport! My husband and I absolutely loved our experience here and wished we could have stayed longer. From the thoughtful welcome bag, friendly staff, clean and comfortable accommodations, delicious breakfast, great location, easy parking, and beautiful peaceful rooftop deck, we truly couldn’t think of anything we would have changed. It checked off every box and then some- we will 100% be back!

Absolutely love this hotel!! Parked easily, checked in and received a lovely welcome bag with local treats, and entered into a gigantic suite on the second floor! The bed is so super comfortable, there are blackout curtains, a rain shower with excellent products, bright light when you want it, an incredible espresso machine, and last but not least, a perfect breakfast and coffee delivered in the morning!! I couldn’t ask for anything more of a hotel, except I wish we could stay longer! A 3 minute walk into town, so also a great location. The staff is so super friendly. I’m writing this from bed where we just called down for towels and they were delivered in approximately 60 seconds. 10/10!!

It was so comfy and clean, they have a parking lot which is lovely, your greeted with a little welcome bag with snacks, very friendly staff.! Also comfy beds!

We didn’t like around 7am the noise above us was consistent, of workers in the other rooms making so much noise, it was so loud and didn’t stop, we couldn’t sleep, we also got in at 2:30, we had to leave it was so loud.

It was great to have breakfast right there at the start of the day. We like the fruit cup option. Blueberry muffin would have been nice. The cake was extremely dry and we did not like it. The room was large and roomy, the bed very comfortable. Responsive climate control a plus. I would have been easy to spend more time with you.

Shower controls were a challenge. We wasted a lot of water before we got sorted out. The toilet ran all night - notified front desk in the morning.

Location is very accessible ro downtown. Hotel is very quiet.

Parking is a little cramped ! You can park on the road though.

We loved our stay at the Mill St Inn. When we arrived the person that checked us in was so helpful. There was complimentary Sangria as well. The room was spacious with a living room set up and a king sized bed with lovely linen. The only negative thing I could say is the bathroom is small. The breakfast in the morning was absolutely delicious . The Inn is centrally located and an easy walk to the Mooring Restaurant where we had reservation. We also toured two of the Newport Mansions - absolutely beautiful and decorated for Christmas. I would highly recommend the Mill St Inn.

Should’ve put a sink on the first floor of the townhouse suites. Also didn’t like that the exit doors make a loud noise when they close most of the people don’t hold the door and it slams.

Excellent breakfast, delivered to your room

The upstairs rooms are fantastic . The stairs may be a bit much for some but the views over Newport are beautiful. Hotel is very central and walking to the Tennis Hall of Fame, The Newport Art Museum, Cliff Walk and many great restaurants. It’s also very quiet and finally the staff is excellent.

The parking is very tight when the hotel is full. Breakfast served in a paper bag but surprisingly good.

The breakfast was delivered to our room and there was a nice selection of cold items. The yogurt was delicious as was the granola. I liked that it was served in a bag so we could easily take what we didn't eat in the car. The room was very niceley designed.

The bathroom was a bit threadbare with a definite need for a remodel. For the price I expected more. Also the room overlooked the parking lot which was OK for 1 night but would have been a total downer if I was staying there in the summer.

We had an amazing stay at mill street inn. The staff was so kind and helpful, and the location was right next to all the shops and restaurants. The room was nice and spacious and we received a wonderful complimentary breakfast at our door in the morning. Will definitely be coming back!

The property was impressive before walking in Modern decor & staff was friendly. Room was beautiful (2 floors) with bedroom and bathroom on top floor leading out to a private deck. Walkable to all restaurants & shops near wharf. A short drive to mansions Would surely stay again

From the moment we arrived for our anniversary getaway, the staff at The Mill Inn went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable one. A bottle of wine with a handwritten message to welcome us, a gift bag filled with local snacks and personable staff to highlight the best places to eat. Our complimentary morning breakfasts were delivered to our door at a time we selected. Breakfasts were delicious! The complimentary sangria in the lobby was a nice touch. The rooftop deck was furnished beautifully and provided great views. The townhouse suite was so cozy, as were the comfy robes provided. Our first visit to Newport was magical.

The room is a two story suite very inconvenient very poorly designed.and hazardous to negotiate Other than a central location and friendly staff it’s an unremarkable property vastly overpriced, poor value and poor accommodations

Best place I've ever stayed. The staff was so friendly, the accommodations were so nice, the room was in fantastic shape, the town was walkable. Across the board everything was 10/10. If I can help it I will stay here every time I'm in Newport going forward.

My wife and I stayed at the Mill Street Inn for a 5 day vacation. The room we had was like a sound recording booth; about the only thing you could occasionally hear was when a neighbor would close their door. This was only noticeable from the “living room” area of the space; nothing could be detected from the bedroom which led to some excellent sleeping conditions. On that note, we have a sleep number bed at our home, and typically when we vacation, I end up with a sore back. The Casper bed here was wonderful. A breakfast is provided, and in what I thought was a unique and welcome fashion. A menu was left by house keeping during the day for you to select your choices. This was collected by midnight every night, and brought to your room at your designated time! Very guest friendly. Daily choices included fresh fruit, pastry, hard boiled eggs, juice, coffee and tea. (On mornings where we were going to be a little more active, say “Cliff Walking”, we found a great brunch spot called “Franklin Spa” on Spring Street near St Mary’s). Parking is included with your stay, and parking can be pricey in Newport, so that’s a big plus. The space is cramped, but functional. The location of the inn is very convenient to restaurants and the harbor. We chose to drive to the Cliff Walk, but there is a free trolley. We found all of the employees here to be a joy to interact with. The front desk personnel are eager to help you with anything you need to make your stay better, and the house keeping personnel take a lot of pride in maintaining the property. Great location.... Central but quiet area. Staff extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. Roomy accomodation with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast delivered to the room at a time to suit, and was very adequate. Room very clean and serviced daily on demand. Plenty of complimentary toiletries provided and good coffee and tea making facilities. No complaints at all.

The breakfast was good and convenient. The location was also ideal for access to the main shopping spots and restaurants. The patio was awesome with plenty of space and seating. Probably the best shower that we have ever experienced while traveling. The staff was friendly and informative.

Nice large suite. Welcome bag of snacks at check-in. Water and ice brought to your room. Daily breakfast of pastry, yogurt, fresh fruit, OJ, coffee, and tea delivered to your room. Roof top deck accessible during warm, clear days. Comfortable bed and nice shower with rain shower and hand held shower. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash pump bottles in the shower. Just a couple of blocks away from restaurants and shops. We enjoyed staying here. Ask for a ground floor room. Otherwise you will be lugging your luggage up stairs.

I loved the location. It’s nice to see the retro fit of a small hotel in the former mill. I loved being on the deck of my room. Also the public upstairs deck is nice.

I could tell that a few things are showing wear. The curtain over my sliding glass door had holes in it; visible when the sun was shining through.

Wonderful stay! A wonderful breakfast was delivered to our room daily, the hotel was very walkable to all of the downtown areas (which is huge since parking in Newport is a nightmare), and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. Will definitely return!

Mill Street Inn checks all the boxes for a great place to stay in Newport! The location is great. It's only a 5 minute walk to restaurants and shopping on Thames street as well as Bowens Wharf where all the action is. Less than 10 minute walk to International Tennis Hall of Fame and the trolley which will take you to the mansions. The staff is all very friendly, and there are lots of nice touches. You are welcomed with a bag of treats from local vendors, there's afternoon sangria, continental breakfast delivered to your door (a must to enjoy on rooftop!), and comfy beds with a mattress topper. They provide robes and slippers like a luxury hotel, but at a reasonable price for Newport. And it is very nice to have a suite--an extra sitting room with a couch and dining table to spread out. Limited free parking, but great if you can grab a spot. Highly recommended! A++

We had a great stay at Mill Street Inn! The property is in such a great location - walking distance to SO many things, but still lovely and quiet location. We had one of the duplex townhouses that had a balcony which was amazing! Loved having breakfast delivered each morning and sitting out on the balcony enjoying the great weather! Can’t recommend enough!

Everything was amazing from start to finish at the Mill Street Inn. My husband and I don’t want to stay anywhere else when we visit Newport. It’s a wonderful hidden gem of a hotel. We absolutely loved our stay. The Inn has 3 suite options. studio, deluxe suite and townhouse suite (roof top balcony view). We stayed in a deluxe suite. It was great so clean, spacious and bed was so comfortable. Wifi was great no issues at all. It’s the perfect location for everything in the area. We walked to everything in town. It was truly a wonderful stay. We can’t wait to come back!

The facility is gorgeous - inside and out - a beautiful renovation of a historic building. They upgraded us to a one-bedroom suite without our having requested it - so nice! The room was so comfortable. The goody bag was a nice touch and the in-room breakfast was easy and delicious. They provided bicycle parking in the garage (thanks!!) and really, the staff we met couldn't have been more helpful or warmer. The room was expensive but it was peak season, so I understand. We walked and biked to town and the sights easily; there are endless great restaurants, ice cream places, bars, etc. We did not notice, nor did anyone offer, an elevator. And we didn't need one, but if someone in your party has trouble with stairs, you should ask about that. (We noticed a wheelchair outside the entrance, so perhaps there is an arrangement we didni't see.)

Such a great stay at the Mill Street Inn. Beautiful studio suite with comfortable bed and nice sitting area. We enjoyed the morning breakfasts. Staff was exceptional and the free sangria was a nice touch. Cannot beat the location being 1 block from all the wharf action and all the Newport shops. We will be back. I highly recommend the Mill Street Inn. Do not forget to check out the root top. Nice place to relax, drink or eat.

The Inn has some many things going for it; beautiful hotel, centrally located, free parking, FREE BREAKFAST DELIVERED TO YOUR ROOM AT YOUR REQUESTED TIME and superb staff. It should be rated as a 5 Star Hotel

It’s the perfect size building and the room was huge with a spacious sitting room as well. The front desk couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. We were so happy we chose well.

Breakfast was OK. The selection was subpar. Quality was not bad. Not impressed. The furniture was needing replacing. I was here 10 years ago. The breakfast area was designated for breakfast. Much better than the left over post Covid crap they are pulling off. The furnishings and room need refreshed. My toilet didn’t flush. The front desk was AOL in taking care of me. Premium price. Not up to the standards it should be.

Stayed two nights on the first floor and loved the cleanliness and added touches the staff members provide (welcome gift bag, spa-style slippers!, flavored water, sangria, etc.). The breakfast was so good! We stayed at another inn in RI right before this stay and Mill Street Inn has the other beat. We easily walked to the Breakers, cliff walk, shops and restaurants in the harbor area. No issues with check-in or check-out, convenient parking. I would stay here again.

The Mill Street Inn is perfectly located for seeing Newport. The Inn is located one block from great restaurants and shops on Thames. If you walk two blocks the other direction you are at the Tram stop to take you out to Cliff Walk and the Gilded Age mansions. The staff was courteous and friendly. We were given maps and advise on dining out. The breakfast is delicious. We will always choose Mill Street Inn when coming to Newport.

This is a charming boutique hotel on a quiet street, surrounded by colonial homes. It is just blocks away from the Wharfs and restaurants. The rooms are loft style and spacious. Really a great location from walking to historic sites to shopping. It is a 10 minute drive to the famous Mansion area.
