Beautiful historic inn in the center of town. Lots of parking. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were super friendly. Grounds including the pool and firepit were very good. Decor around the hotel and in the room was exceptional.

Room on second floor has no elevator, room was hot when arrived at 8:00pm and a/c was a bit challenged. Chair in room was poor sitting as worn seat and a bit tired room for price I thought.

A very attractive hotel situated in the pretty town of Stowe. Walking distance from shops and restaurants. Hotel was clean and well presented. It had a very nice pool (heated) area and some pleasant seating areas inside. Cookies and tea/coffee for residents provided in the afternoon. Bath robes are always appreciated.

Just a small observation. We were told that breakfast was first come first served (which includes walk ins) I would have liked the option to reserve a table as a patron of the hotel.

Quaint, perfect location, amenities

Nous avons passé une excellente nuitée dans cet hôtel exceptionnel. La chambre est confortable, les parties communes sont charmantes, le personnel est serviable, et cerise sur le gâteau : les équipements. La piscine, les jacuzzis intérieur et extérieur, le sauna, les braseros sur lesquels on peut faire fondre des s'mores : prévoyez un peu de temps à l'hôtel pour profiter de tout cela.

Une chose à savoir : tous les restaus de la ville (y compris celui de l'hôtel) ferment à 21h.

Gorgeous historic building located in the heart of Stowe. So many great amenities. The history of the area s so well documented by the collection of photos and artifacts from the past.

The staff was super attentive, the property is immaculate , well kept and keeping its heritage intact. The restaurant is excellent with a vast selection of quality options. The room was quite clean and cosy, pool clean and inviting. We will definitely be going back.

Not the fault of the property but the main road is letting the flow of heavy trucks to circulate most of the day . It would be nice if this flow could be redirected to an alternate route.

My wife and I both enjoyed our stay here. The room rate for our deluxe king room was a great value for the area. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and spotless. Housekeeping arrived promptly every morning and did a great job! Extremely quiet. There were a ton of folks staying at the property, but I never heard them at night. The pool area had comfy lounge chairs and bar service--a nice place to relax after a long day of hiking. The location couldn't have been better.

The pool and hot tub was excellent. Was great not only to have poolside drinks and snacks available but the pool area open until 10pm is great. There are also 2 firepits that were lit up in the evening with room for 6 to 8 guests each. A great place to wind down and warm up at the end of a busy day.

The wings we ordered (poolside) were the worst we have ever had. It was as if someone spilled a can of morton's table salt in the sauce. Was almost inedible. The filtered water machine was down next to the coffee machine, but that's nit picking.

Room was dark, decor tired (silk flowers!), just abit old fashioned, but some may like this. Our room overlooked the air conditioning units on one side and public carpark at the other. Unusual smell along corridors to bedroom that I noticed everytime I came back into the hotel.,

Our room was very small and tight. There are not many king beds available, although we requested one and did not receive it. Getting out of the parking lot requires a turn on a street that takes you to the main street through Stowe where the traffic is nonstop during the daytime and left turns are very hard to perform. Positives: nice pool area, free parking. Bedding was superior.

Room size. Restaurant and bar prices were ridiculous but that's to be expected in a summer resort town. Traffic is a problem in the downtown.

Very disappointed with this hotel we chose to spend our 30th anniversary. There was mold in the bathroom, the room smelled bad and the jacuzzi tub had a brown slime coming out of the jets! Despite us mentioning this special occasion at the time of booking and again at check in we got no special acknowledgment, not even a simple “happy anniversary”! And on top of all of this they would not match the price we could get on booking.com. I do not recommend staying here!!

It’s charm and the employees

It was great and our server was very pleasant! The food was excellent.

Waters in the frig would have been nice. And half and half for the coffee maker instead of non dairy creamer. The Keurig was great.

Front Staff were excellent and supportive.

The space of the room was challenging and had difficult with the noise from the fan that went on in the early hours of the morning aroun 3:30-4:oo am. the queen Ann poster bed made it difficult to watch the TV as one of the posts view site cut the TV viewing in half. we had tosit at the foot of the bed to watch the world cup.

I loved the room I was in. The bed was comfortable and spacious, the bathroom was clean, and all the promised amenities were present (and then some). The staff was kind and helpful. I really appreciated that the restaurant, spa, and country store were all in the same place. Plus, the hotel's location was amazing, as it's in the middle of Main Street.

It's a teeny issue, but the TV often switched to the casting screen even though I didn't touch the button on the remote. I had to switch it to live TV to get out of it, but couldn't get back to Netflix or Hulu unless I shut it off.

The smell of the place was gross, especially in the room areas. I’m not sure what it is or where it comes from but it’s nauseating. Honestly took away from our trip because everytime we went into the room areas it smelled horrible. No fridge or microwave as well. For the price per night, I felt like it did not deliver.

Room 203 should not be offered. It has a noisy window air conditioner which also let road noise through. Cars sounded like they were diving though the room all night. No real sleep was had.

Followed the rave reviews regarding this hotel, and I honestly felt duped. The room areas, and our particular room, smelled horrible. Not sure why the smell is so strong, but it made me gag. Absolutely ruined our trip. If I was to look from the outside, the carpets probably need to be ripped up. Would never return.For the price point of this establishment, the accommodations should be much better.

Location is the best!! Can walk through the quaint town of Stowe through various shops and restaurants. Pool was a great bonus as well as having a pool bar available. The Whip Restaurant was also very convenient. Great service and good food.

It's really kind of petty, but an upgrade on the bathroom hairdryer would have been nice. We didn't ask for another one, so not sure if it is even worth mentioning.....I just have thick hair :)

The location is right in the heart of downtown Stowe. You can easily walk to coffee shops, stores and restaurants. The room with the king-sized bed had plenty of space for two people. We didn't bother with the hotel breakfast, we went to Black Cap coffee instead which was excellent.

I didn't appreciate the 'resort fee'. This seems to be a trend with hotels which I really do not like. It's a way for hotels to keep their advertised rate the same while getting more money from the customer. The nightly rate should be the final price you pay before taxes.

The property is well maintained and one kind of appreciates that its stood against time for so long!

Main 18 open for breakfast- full country meal for $18 a great bargain. The main dining room Whip Bar and Grill had excellent food- salmon and beef tips were superb! Service exceptional at both restaurants- patio dining, take out available. Stowe has many summer resorts nearby- von Trapp has brewery/beer hall and main dining rooms with incredible beer and food. Many shops in town- very walkable.

The property was well maintained. The pool and hut tub were wonderful.

The building we were in had no air conditioning and no elevator so it was very hot going to our room and up and down with luggage. Also, it was a jacuzzi tub shower and we had to climb over the jacuzzi to get in. Very dangerous. My daughter was shocked pretty bad by the light and they were like eh ok thanks for telling us. We were in another room originally and it smelled like smoke so they did move us but the building was hot.

Never could get the TV to work. Missed a really good World Cup game. Alarm in our room was set to go off at about midnight and then repeat every five minutes. Finally pulled the plug.

Les lits de notre chambre étaient très inconfortable, ils étaient déformés et semblaient être très vieux. Il y avait un cerne dans la toilette.

Schönes Hotel mitten im Ort. Begrüßung mit Tee und Gebäck am Nachmittag war sehr nett. Schöner Pool und Wirlpool im Garten, schöne Sauna. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Abendessen im Restaurant sehr lecker!

The inn is beautiful! Staff was friendly. My favorite part was the heated pool and hot tub. The pool was fantastic! I loved the different sitting areas and the historic decor. It was very convenient to get to places we wanted to see.

The ac was a window unit, which I don't mind, but it was very dirty and looked like it had mildew all around the vents. The front was coming off with what looked like the filter coming out. The elevator was also broken. They did accommodate us by putting us in a parking lot level room. The room could use a mirror besides just the one in the bathroom.

The front desk was very welcoming. We loved the suggestion about stowe. Also, the pool is open until 10pm, which is great.

This is an older property that fits into the landscape of the area. It is within walking distance to many restaurants and wonderful scenic views.

The room is small. The main house is like a maze. There was no help to get luggage up to the room. There was an elevator but it still involved steps. There were no luggage carriers, so many trips made back and forth.

The In. Was very quant and friendly. It had more amenities than I would have imagined for an Inn this size including a fitness center, pool, jacuzzi and sauna. Everything was very clean and well kept. The front desk and restaurant/bar staff were exceptional,
