Simple stay at a very good place right at the beach, just next to high-end Amarela resort. The beach is more pleasant than e.g. Alona or other busy beaches nearby. Nice and friendly staff :) Happy that we did not encounter any mosquitoes even in the evening.

Just minor details. Low flow of water. Quite poor wifi connection - even our SMART SIM had a choppy signal. Be ready to pay extras for add-ons such as pillows.

The woman responsible for the resort is a very nice and friendly person😀

Tolle Aussicht, die Dame am Empfang hat sich sehr bemüht und uns ein frühes Frühstück als Lunchpaket zubereitet. Das Grundstück wird sehr gepflegt.

Uns wurden erhebliche Umrechnungsgebühren in Rechnung gestellt, denen wir zu keinem Zeitpunkt zugestimmt hatten. Der Bitte, den gebuchten Betrag in PHP über unsere Kreditkarte wie gebucht abzurechnen, wurde trotz sofortigem Widerspruch und weiteren Bemühungen nicht nachgekommen. Uns wurden für 2 Tage und 4 Personen zwei kleine Wasserflaschen zur Verfügung gestellt. Zum Frühstück gibt es einen Kaffee oder einen Saft. Will man beides, wird es in Rechnung gestellt.

Afslappende stemning. Sjove lokale omgivelser. Rigtig hjælpsom pige, der hjalp med alt fra ture til kendskab og ting at gøre. Udsigten, fristed og afslappende.

Location on beautiful white sand beach. Clean room and bathroom. Private terrace. Hot water. Wifi was good. Air conditioning was good. Helpful staff. Nice breakfast and meals (additional cost).

Small improvement could be lounge chairs on the beach like neighboring property has. Also better signage -- place was hard to find.

Das Zimmer war wirklich sehr gross (Familie mit 3 Kindern) Die Lage war gut, direkt am öffentlichen Strand. Trotzdem war es Abends und auch frühmorgens sehr ruhig. (über Ostern!) Kein "Hotel-Restaurant", aber eine sehr beschränkte Anzahl Speisen (Filippino-Food) war zu sehr günstigen Preisen für Hotelgäste erhältlich.

Das Frühstück war sehr bescheiden, weit weg von sehr gut, wie im Hotelbeschrieb erwähnt. Essen konnte man im eher ungepflegten Garten an kleinen rostigen Tischlein. Im Zimmer: Eine Seitenlehne des Bettsofas war abgebrochen. Das Geländer vom Balkon teilweise komplett durchgerostet und lose. Toilettenpapier war keines vorhanden, das mussten wir extra verlangen. Das WLAN war sehr langsam, teilweise konnten Seiten gar nicht geladen werden. Die unpraktische Aufhänge-Vorrichtung für Kleider als Schrank zu deklarieren ist etwas übertrieben. Nachttischlampen und ein kleiner Kühlschrank im Zimmer wären auch kein Luxus gewesen. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis für das angebotene Familienzimmer hat aus unserer Sicht extrem viel Luft nach oben offen.

Super area - right on the beach, easily accessible, not far from the airport. Clean room, good amenities. Lovely breakfast, friendly and helpful staff.

A little noisy on occasion during the day because it's next to a boat congregation point. At night - again, some midnight picnic-ers were quite chatty - but no loud music or karaoke which was a relief! Was there during a weekend though, so might not be a problem mid-week.

Das Hotel ist nah am Meer, jedoch hat es dort viele Algen am Strand und das Hotel bietet keine Strandliegen.

Die Tür zum WC liess sich nicht verschliessen, die Spülung des WC funktionierte nicht und das Spülwasser lief auf den Boden aus. Das Personal war bei der Reklamation extrem unfreundlich und lief aus dem Gespräch weg.

Very close to the beach. Quiet place. On request you can eat breakfast and dinner in the resort. The food was tasty. Numerous restaurants are starting 50m away at the beach. The beach ist not as crowded as in other places but there are still restaurants, boats to Pamilacan and other transportation very close to the resort.

Proche de la mer, la connexion internet.Chambre spacieuse avec balcon( idéal être au niveau 1).

Chambre pas très propre, pas d’eau chaude et à peine de l’eau froide et pas de pression,beaucoup de chiens ( odeur et aboiements), transats inutilisables (rouillés).Jardin luxuriant dans l’annonce à revoir ! Attention on vous propose des excursions mais au final vous payez que le taxi toutes les entrées sont à votre charge.interrupteur avec fils apparent.(risque de sécurité).

De locatie direkt aan het strand is perfect. De airco was prima! De dames van het hotel zijn op zich best behulpzaam. Scooter kon bij het hotel geregeld worden en werd daar ook afgeleverd. Leuke hondjes op het erf.

Ontbijt heel zuinig. 1 ei 1 broodje, 2 mini worstjes en een klein stukje fruit. Extra ei(tjes) moet apart betaald worden, wel goedkoop overigens maar gaat om het idee. Na 1ste overnachting werd de kamer niet schoongemaakt. Op verzoek werd het toch gedaan maar blijkbaar was het de bedoeling om 1x per 2 dagen schoon te maken dit in tegenstelling van de info op de site. Waterstraal douche is heel erg minimaal, ook verouderde kop die volgens mij gewoon bijna dicht is geslipt. Zaterdagavond 20:30 uur gevraagd of ik nog een koffie kon krijgen, nee was niet mogelijk.. ze waren gesloten🙈.

Personal sehr freundlich, brachte die bestellung sogar zum Strand. Frühstück wurde uns auf der Terrasse serviert. Hauseigener Strand.

The staff is super nice and helpful. The bed is comfy. Location is in front of the beach.

Next to the property is a public area where locals gather from Friday evening onwards, loud music is played from the morning till late night and a lot of trash is left the next day. Water pressure for the shower is very low.

Nous avons beaucoup aimé la plage en face de l’hôtel où l’on peut rejoindre des restos. Cette plage est juste magnifique et calme L’hôtel est simple et les propriétaires sont sympas et proposent des tours et nous ont organisé le taxi Petit déjeuner simple

The rooms were spacious and very clean. The venue is literally 50 meters from the beach. There are hammocks, tables and chairs for the guests. The manager, Eileen, went over and beyond to make my stay as comfortable and unforgettable as possible. I arrived late the first day, and she cooked for me, as all restaurants were already closed at that time. She booked taxis for me, and always greeted me and the other guests with a big smile.

This is NOT an issue related to the hotel per se. It would be a good idea to put trash cans near the property and perhaps close to the beach. Unfortunately, the beaches in the Philippines are full of plastic, not just here.

Really great staff. The resort is lovingly run and is located on a quieter stretch of beach to the east of Dumaluan Beach. Everyone is very helpful, warm and friendly. Delicious breakfast. Rooms are large, air conditioning works very well. The small terrace is a great place to end the evening. There are a few options for lunch and dinner nearby. Otherwise, Dumaluan Beach is within easy reach and Alona Beach is not too far away either. We set off on daily day trips from the resort. We can highly recommend it.

The AC is immediately above the bed. We were quite freezing. And no wardrobes or hangers. But for a short stay ideal.

Hotel was very basic, but the location was perfect and the staff was super helpful and friendly. Good value for the money.

Its as beachfront as you could want, without being on a beachfront resort. Only a tiny passage for peeps to walk between u n ocean. End of the rd. Just enough for taxi to drop u off at door. Its a hidden gem. Locals frequent. Far enough away from the busy end of a really nice beach. Water is deeper n cleaner too!

The perfect place for people looking for peace and a homely atmosphere. Away from party places. Located at the end of a beautiful beach. The room and bathroom are very nice and mega clean. The owners are helpful (they organized a scooter for me and took care of the laundry). Breakfast is simple but tasty and healthy. I recommend it to people who want to relax from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is worth renting a scooter to get around the island

This resort is in the quiet part of the island. Lots of local families enjoying themselves having picnics and playing in the water. Felt so comfortable here.

The property owner is friendly, the rooms and the building is newly build. They have a food service with a very reasonable price & it’s homemade by the owner itself & it’s very good. Be sure to make your tummy full by 8pm because all fastfood in the area closes at 8pm.

False advertisement in regards of wifi connection in the rooms. I have to pay extra to move into a different room so we can have wifi for work. There’s no fridge in the room so you cant have your own cold drinks whenever you want.

Actually this is very good hotel and it has good staff. We were here in may '24. This hotel is lacated 10 meters from the ocean and you can swim here or you can walk a little to the right to the Dumaluan beach. The staff very kind and if you want something for a lunch or dinner they'll cook it)

Near the beach

The location is perfect, especially of you will go for the island hopping tour. The location is quiet compared to Alona beach, you're here for the peace. The staff are also extremely helpful, they go beyond their duties. They provide towels and slippers in the room. The bathroom is big enough and the toilet has a bidet! The staff can book you a motorcycle to rent foe the day.

The room we're staying at has weak cellular and wifi signals. The TV is old, and really small, barely bigger than an iPad. The food is okay. Don't expect hotel / resort quality food. It is good 'ol fashioned pinoy homecooking (which I liked). Before you stay, buy and do everything you have to since there is little to no places in the area to buy or do anything, no food, snacks, toiletries, nothing. Transportation is a bit expensive since the area is a bit secluded. By 7pm, the area is shutdown and dark.

When we booked this accomodation on booking, we were not quite sure what to expect, but in the end, the D&B Bluestar Guesthouse did exceed our expectations! The location right next to the beach is just excellent! Rooms are spacious enough and very clean. In the room you find a modern AC and there is hot water all day long, although the water pressure could be a little better. The food (we had dinner 1x) was amazing and the family running the place was very nice and helped us with all our requests. There are 1-2 small cafés on the beachfront where you can have a bite. But I would recommend having dinner at the guesthouse.

The display light of the AC was quite bright and the water pressure could have been a little better (but that's for all over the Philippines). But that is complaining on a very high level..

Right by a lovely beach and very quiet as it is rather secluded. If you want the lights and glitz you should go to Alona but if you want to chill, this is the perfect oasis. Hosts are very kind, the food is quite good and the rooms are big and spotless.

Sometimes there are power outages. Nothing to do with the accomodation itself as it impacts the whole area but take that into account if you need wifi...

The hotel is just on the beach, we could hear the waves in the morning. All was very clean, the room is comfortable, the staff were very nice. We liked the daily breakfast very much too!!!

I loved the people, since it’s a family led business they really go beyond on their service. Just 2 steps away from pristine white sand beach. Rooms are big and comfy. Coconuts are from their own trees. I love that they are animal lovers and care for some stray dogs. They are amiable. You can rent the scooters from there too. Location is far-ish from the bustle of Alona yet only 15 min away on a habal. 1000% recommended.

Wifi could be improve specially for remote workers yet, we worked without major issues.

D & B Bluestar Resort was exactly as advertised. Located right on the beach, the view is amazing. The rooms are very clean and the property well kept. My favorite thing though was the people. The owner actually cooked our made to order breakfast and the staff did their best to accommodate our every need. They helped arrange tours and transportation when we needed it, they offered laundry service, and they generally spent time getting to know us. I definitely recommend this location and will return myself if I’m ever lucky enough to travel the Philippines again!

Most of all, the owner/staff were outstanding, amazing humans. Whatever we needed, they took care of it, and provided us with so much extra info, extra help, extra local food and snacks to try. We felt like we had a Filipino mom. Definitely a highlight. The breakfast every day was prepared with so much love. The location is great as well, about 15 minutes away by tricycle from the famous Alona beach and all the tourism hustle bustle (in case you want to go island hopping or diving or want more international food), all while there is a perfect beautiful quiet white beach right in front of the resort. We liked our beach much more than Alona beach. The rooms were very thoroughly cleaned, perfect budget resort.

You will see a lot of locals which us great and still a peaceful area right in front of the beach. The owner was accommodating and treated us like family. Food is good. She cooked even extra for us. We really had a nice time there. Clean facilities and extra helpful staff.

It was very nice especially the location was just fantastic you are right in front of a dream beach. a bit out of the way but nicer than in alona beach the owners make you eat and bring it to your room just perfect the only thing is that unfortunately there is no fridge in the room but that is luxury

Wonderful staff, great location, great, great value. Breakfast was super. The ladies there are so nice and accommodating. When you first show up here you will think, OMG what have I done?? But the place has everything you need... literally a few feet from the beach, homemade food made to order at incredibly low prices..

This is a great place. It is clean and well maintained. It is run by 2 lovely ladies: the owner and her young assistant. They were friendly, helpful, and just great hosts. We stayed in the deluxe beachfront room at first and then extended our stay in a "garden facing" room because the beach facing room was no longer available (my mistake was only reserving a few days at first to make sure I liked the room). The rooms were not huge, but they were large enough to not be cramped even with our large amount of baggage. They were lovely original paintings on the walls. The water pressure was a little low (water is a scarce resource on a small island), but the hot water worked great. Breakfast was good and well served on the lawn in front of the beach. Other food was available on request and what we had was very good. Fine dining (with great live music on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings) is available by walking about 15 minutes along the beach to Bohol Beach Club (they are quite busy- make a reservation). The beach had fine white sand. The hotel had hammocks, lawn chairs and loungers available for use on the beach or under the trees (for shade) in the lawn area. At high tide the water was only a few feet in front of the lawn. At low tide it was a bit of a walk to the water past some interesting sea critters and seaweed. It was clean of litter, but the natural tideline "stuff" was left intact (which may bother those who want a perfectly raked/swept beach, but I find the natural look more in character for a beachfront vacation). The once remote but now very busy and developed (McDonalds and Jolibee included) Alona beach was about 10 minutes away by tricycle, tuk-tuk, or a rented motorcycle (delivered to the hotel for 500P per day). If you want a clean, peaceful hotel with great service do not hesitate.

What didn't I like: The scented sheets in the second room (the sheets in the first room had no smell). An extra roll of TP would be nice. Leaving, I could have stayed another month. That's it.
