Pembroke Villa

The house was beautiful cleaned, well appointed and in a perfect spot just out of town. This was our second stay at Pembroke Villa and won’t be our last! Thanks team!

The location is fantastic—it's just a short walk to the lake. The house is really cozy, and having our own garage was super convenient. We even ran into a friendly cat!

It was close to town to access restaurants shops etc and walking around the lake etc

We were at the very back of the property another house is right in front . It was private with good curtains though.

The villa was so lovely to stay in and beautifully appointed with everything you could need for a holiday stay. Located within walking distance to the Lake Wanaka and the local shops.

TV wouldn't work in the lounge area

Très belle maison avec deux belles chambres. Très bien équipée pour cuisiner. Table à l'extérieur et barbecue. A deux pas du lac de Wanaka à pieds.

Die Ferienwohnung befindet sich unweit des touristischen Zentrums von Wanaka in ruhiger Lage. Das Auto kann sicher auf dem Grundstück geparkt werden. See, Park und Gastromeile sind alle in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Wir waren zu viert (2 Paare) unterwegs und haben uns in dieser Villa sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Küchenausstattung war guter Standard, sogar mit einem Geschirrspüler. Eines muss unbedingt hervorgehoben werden: Durch einen längeren Stromausfall im Viertel, der von abends bis zu unserer Abreise am nächsten Tag dauerte, konnten wir uns kein Frühstück zubereiten. Das Personal hat uns nach Rückfrage bei der Schlüsselabgabe eine Kompensation zugesichert, obwohl sozusagen " höhere Gewalt" vorlag. Unserem Wunsch, statt einer vermutlich finanziellen Kompensation ein Frühstück zu erhalten, wurde sofort entsprochen. Ein guter Start in den Tag war uns wichtiger als ein paar Euro Erstattung. Für die unkomplizierte Regelung geht unser besonderer Dank nochmals an das Personal der Te Wanaka Lodge (zuständig auch für die Villa).

Could not get the TV to work but I would not be able to fault anything.

The apartment is modern, comfortable and in a great location. It was perfect for our family's road trip around NZ.

Great little place with everything you need. Fire place was a nice touch to keep warm and cosy.

No real down side, only with a 4YO we couldn’t walk to town so used our car a lot.

While the actual villa was nice with quality appliances and furniture, we were surprised at the lack of supplies at the property. Compared to every other place in NZ that we stayed who had all these little extra touches, Pembroke villa was stocked like a business hotel rather than the cosy home we expected. Additionally, we arrived to 2 low quality toilet paper rolls and the very bottom of a bottle of body wash for 3 adults staying 4 nights and when we asked for more, were told that basic supplies were only given to start off the stay. I can't say I've ever stayed somewhere where I had to bring my own loo paper!

Internet was not working. Really old tv that was difficult to operate Took at least an hour to get internet working and 2morecall outs to get tv working. We had to write down instructions. These be on written information sheet.

Comfortable well equipped property a short walk from the Lake and the town.

Lumpy pillows, kitchen scissors did not cut, no oven gloves, ironing board needs replacing - foam under the cover has disintegrated, couldn’t find the modem for the password for the WiFi (although as it happens we wouldn’t have used it as we discovered that there was an extra cost - most company’s include this in the cost of the property).

It was a lovely spacious property. A couple of blocks back from lake in very quiet area.

The only fault being no fan or air con in bedrooms made for a very wakeful sleep.

A spacious modern house with all the comfort you could wish for. Superb location very near Wanaka lake and all the bars and restaurants. Big sunny terrace and parking on site. We would happily stay there again

Great location as it was very close to lake Wanaka and also to central Wanaka. There was parking available for a vehicle as well as a secure garage for storage of equipment/luggage. Great facilities in the villa with everything that you would need for a comfortable stay.

Very spacious, well furnished and easy check in. Close to main area/ foreshore (5-10min walk). Super clean and comfortable for a family of four and we enjoyed our stay.

Small things and just listing as FYIs. The Internet was confusing and not much information on how to connect or pay. I couldn't get it to connect A small thing though and it didn't impact our stay. Flag for those with kids who may be counting on ability to stream Netflix etc (ie. Sign into your own account) it's just basic cable so not much to distract the kids that way!

Great location and a nice kitchen. The villa included a garage that we could securely park our car and handle our luggage.

There were good and bad things about this property. The kitchen was modern and well equipped. The location was handy to the lake and shops.

The beds in both bedrooms let the property down badly. The Master bed had no support and was sunken in the middle. We could not sleep in it. The single beds in the other room were cheap and nasty, hard and uncomfortable. The pillows for all the beds were lumpy and old and should have been thrown out years ago. At $330 per night, this was a disgrace. For our holiday in all other locations, we had encountered excellent beds. The owner of this property needs to lift his game. I do not recommend it at all.

Most places provide initial quantity of milk as well as usual basic condiments. No milk, but could have been oversight.

Quiet, private, wonderful location for town and the lake. Double glazed and modern - lovely and warm - home away from home. Bonus was a garage to store the mountain bikes in and a washing machine and dryer - highly recommend the property.

This property was beautiful. So comfortable and spacious and had everything we needed. The property was warm and exceptionally located.

Bit difficult re parking getting in & out. Some difficulty re position & opening front door Key pick-up & drop off could be easier - motels busy area

No air conditioning - end of March, unpleasantly warm and stuffy especially by the afternoon. Hard to lock the door, sometimed the keys just didn't work. From the main bedroom you have a view of the cottage wall and the garbage bins, so disappointing.

Instructions from booking.com were not clear to finding the pick up address and the address of the property when they sent email with confirmation details

No air conditioning - when we talked with the reception staff they said they would look into it. Could hardly sleep due to how hot it was- 30 degree days and no air conditioning. Sink was also dirty.. and water terrible to drink.

It was a nice little house with good facilities, we did think that more than four glasses of each type would have been good also only four cups which with four of you is a bit sparse . Also more coat hangers and more than one key, We left coat hangers and a spare key when we left . Also the quilt where not clean under the top sheet they need to be laundered . These are all observations which the owners may not be aware of. It was a convenient spot and off the road .

The fact that maybe the owners need to assess the place occasionally as at $3200 for the week some things need up dating .

The curtains in the main bedroom were very thin and any lighting from front lodge shone through the curtains. We also had trouble adjusting the villas heating, the unit was excessively hot. TV in bedroom didn't work.

Location was good ,we could walk to the town centre. Fireplace was excellent and other heating as it snowed when we were there Liked the internal garage

The Dining table was quite small No soap in shower
