Reviewed Apr 27, 2026非常漂亮的法式独栋别墅，被惊艳到，客餐厅、卧室、厨房、洗衣房都非常宽敞，干净、舒适，我们一行四人太喜欢这里了，在这里连住了三晚，还恋恋不舍，早知道这么好，绝对会要再多订几天。房子离孤独的树步行14分钟、离超市也非常近，总之非常棒的体验。瓦纳卡的秋天实在太美了，住一周绝对值得！

Reviewed Mar 28, 2026The warmth of the home. Noticed the double glazed windows and general energy efficiency. The house was always warm. Also close to the shops and restaurants. Also loved the heater in the bathrooms.
A construction site right at the back of the house. Seemed a bit deceiving as didn't see any of this in the photos. Cereals bowls we're too small. Need to be bigger.

Reviewed Mar 14, 2026Beautiful decor, immaculately clean. Full length mirror for checking our wedding attire looked right. 6 adults attending a wedding. Very quiet and cosy. Nice verandah seating.
2 generations struggled and failed to be able to watch TV NZ news and Winter Olympics because instructions were not updated in folder- I reported this on checkout and am confident that it will be sorted.

Reviewed Mar 8, 2026Lovely property, great double glazing and fittings and fixtures all nice and new. Linen was lovely and fresh.
Showers have mould, and a lamp was badly broken, I removed it from my bedside as it looked terrible. It just needed a bit of curation, some nice flowers, candles, books? Otherwise it ticked all the other boxes.

Showers in both bathrooms require grout cleaning. Fire place still had past ash and coals and would have expected it to be cleaned or set. Kitchen sink plug only works in one position.

Reviewed Jan 16, 2026The house is beautiful and very centrally located. Short walk to the lake. We loved how spacious it was for 5 adults and that we could use the laundry and kitchen!
Not a big deal but you have to pick up and drop off your keys at the office up the road. They also request that you take rubbish out, wipe tables down, start dishwasher etc. which we thought was funny since it is not an AirBnB.

The address was actually 37A but had 37 we had a parcel delivered a pair of trousers for a wedding and they delivered it to 37 as on the web site which was the business next door and they refused to accept it it was very stressful trying to get them delivered for the wedding and eventually arriving just a few hours before the wedding but we had to travel back to wanaka to Collect them from paper plus so not ideal Suggest you have the address as 37A not 37

The lack of even a small amount of milk in the fridge. We had to go shopping for this and we'd already had a long drive down. There were other supplies. A little milk would have been perfect.

Reviewed Mar 5, 2025Really cute cottage with lots of space and massive kitchen - great for a group to stay here. Cozy fire and huge front porch where I was able to do some work and internet reached perfectly! Master bedroom has a massive bathroom and excellent shower. The pictures don't really do it justice as it is really charming.
The master bed had a family of moths living in the pillows. Not sure if they were new since last guest, but there were about 20 moths and it made us question last time linens were changed or that bedroom was used. We got worried about them eating our clothes and stayed in smaller room. Could be a fluke! Also the keys need to be picked up and dropped off at separate location - if you are in a rush or arrive late, keep this in mind.

Reviewed Jan 29, 2025Very nice stay. 3 bedrooms + 2 bathrooms worked well for our group. We used washing machine/dryer, which was helpful after several days on the road. Especially mum liked the house, she wanted to stay longer. It was her favourite place from all accomodation we used on our trip.

Reviewed Jan 8, 2025I can’t believe the owner is leasing this gorgeous house—I wouldn’t be able to do it myself! It’s beautifully designed, modern, and incredibly comfortable. The space is cozy yet elegant, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The location is perfect—close to everything but still wonderfully quiet. The mattress deserves a special mention—firm, supportive, and so comfortable that I slept better than I do at home. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a home away from home!

It’s located on a busy road, across the road from a community centre and church. So there is always people parking either side of the driveway making reversing back onto the busy road a challenge. But this really is a minor issue, not at all a dealbreaker.

Reviewed Aug 4, 2024Easy access to everything. Older style home that was very warm and comfortable. In particular I liked the walk through main bedroom wardrobe with heaps of space. The bedspreads were a bonus, super cosy, and far superior to 2 sheet layers with a quilt in between that most places use as bedding. Lovely verandah and great sitting area in the garden. Would definitely stay again.

The bathroom had a blocked hand basin. Shower in second bathroom leaked. Heated towel rails don't work. Poor dusting & cleaning of main area. Uncomfortable & dirty arms on the settee (Sofa) Over all the place is getting tired & due for a refurbishment. Poorly stocked kitchen - lack of kitchen utensils, minimal plates, glasses and silverware. Washer smelled very mildewy - ran it once before using, but still smelled . Living room furniture in need of cleaning. Would be nice to have body wash, shampoo and extra rubbish bags.

Reviewed Jan 31, 2024Beautiful home with a great yard to sit outside in the sun. Location was amazing with stunning views. Very comfortable and clean. Multiple parking spots was a bonus. Being able to shut the front gates made it safe for little children.We would definitely come again.
The TV was so difficult to operate even with the instructions provided.
