Concierge was friendly, helpful and courteous. Took but only a few minutes to check in and locate our room. Clean and well equipped room with comfortable beds and feather pillows. A great experience. Worth experiencing again ... definitely.

Good breakfast. Better than the usual „continental breakfast”.

The fridge/freezer kept turning off so our ice cream melted. We found what looked like dead cockroaches in the room and the bathroom. The hot and cold in the shower were installed backwards. The dresser was broken at the bottom and missing a piece of the wood. There was what looked like a smeared mosquito on the back of the bathroom door. Although the girls at the front desk were super nice, they gave me a room that was already booked and cursed when they spoke to me. Very unprofessional.

Very quiet and easy to get into having the outside access made it incredibly easy with the dog and the front desk. Staff were more than accommodating to an early check-in as we are travelling all day on the road. We will definitely be back on our next travels.

Was a pleasant stay , only issue we had was we noticed the water had yellow tinge to it , the beds are not that comfy they are very firm so woke up with a sore back but other then that the staff , service and cleanliness was excellent, the breakfast is pretty good as well .

Do not trust that you’ll have a room upon arrival. They overbook and like me, you may not have a room and will need to sleep in your car. Zero empathy, zero help just comments of “not my problem” or “that’s for you to figure out”. Yes they took my money and gave me confirmation upon booking.

The room was excellent. The only thing that bothered me as a light sleeper was the refrigerator. It was a little noisy and was running constantly. This would not keep me from staying in that room again.

Staff and service was great. I had a positive interactive with the front desk upon arrival. Bed was comfortable. AC units need updating. Also noticed the floors were a bit sticky and there was a bit of a smell in the room. There was lots of road construction going on outside the hotel so it was more difficult to get in and get out of the property. Decent accommodations overall.

I think its crazy you can book your room with a visa debit but you need a credit card when u check in . Not everyone has a credit card makes things difficult

The breakfast was basic and fine but could be a bit better. Some room have laminate floor which will be better when all are instead of carpet.

Nothing to do with the property. Expedia messed up and I had to pay for a room I already booked and they acted like it was the hotels fault…brutal!

Dated facility, very limited breakfast options

I did not like that I was to pay a damage deposit on our room. It was first time on five years that we had stayed at a hotel. I was told that this is normal practice for the hotel. I am not sure whether I would stay at this chain of hotels again.

What stood out to me is HOW nice the staff were. I stayed two nights because it was in walking distance to the pick up for Boots and Hearts and the staff were incredibly lovely. Also, I have to mention that they had a large mini fridge and microwave in the room (I hardly find a fridge in hotels these days, let alone a big one and a microwave!). The included morning breakfast was good and was refreshed frequently by the staff. The hotel itself had a bit of a smell, but what are you going to do. The staff though were absolutely lovely, big shout out to them! I'd stay here again.

Property is right off the highway, convenient location. Didn't notice the road noise in the room at all. Carpet in the room was unexpected in a pet friendly room. Air conditioning was weak, older unit. Bed was surprisingly comfortable, and loads of pillows on a king sized bed. Would stay again.

Great to have a place that accepts pets! Easy access and not too far from eateries and main roadways

We had a terrific stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and presentable and the beds were very comfortable. Best of all...it was so quiet! We couldn't hear the ppl in the next room and the hotel is right beside the highway HOWEVER you cannot hear it in your room. I'd definitely stay here again!! Thanks again for making our stay so pleasant.

The hotel is simple and generally clean. I was not fond of the carpet in the room. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and amiable. Breakfast could have used a few more items but we made due with what was provided.

Even though we were beside the highway our room was nice and quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Room was at 74 when we got in the room turned air conditioner on to 64 degrees and the temperature never dropped. Woke up sweating. There was hair in the tub I’m hoping from the cleaning lady. Was there for two nights hoped they would have tidied the room the second day so tub would be clean but no beds were still not made and hair was still in tub. Also there was no water pressure at times to flush toilet or wash hands. Was not the best experience

every think was graet the only thing that was not ok was wrong was that the room that was booked was king room and were given a double single room

We booked this hotel as a last-minute need to stay in Barrie overnight. We were just looking for a place to sleep, and so we booked based on the lower price. We honestly did not expect much, but we got much more. The hotel service was fantastic at the front desk. Check-in was quick and efficient. We opened up our room which was on the main floor - where we coule park right oout front. and the room smelled very fresh and clean. The bathroom was spotless and modern. We always wipe down hotel rooms wherever we stay with Disinfectant wipes and this time the wipes stayed white. The room was spotless. There wasn't a surface that we wiped down that had dust, dirt, flith or any kind. It was very impressive. The A/C worked very well - which is good because it was a HOT day (40degrees). The bed was fine - but not the most comfortable - and pillows were a little light. The towels in the bathroom were still very full and fluffy. The shower head was high enough for tall people, and water pressure was good. Breakfast was served until 10 AM - but unfortunately when we got there at 9:20Am there was only waffle and ceral options (which we do not eat) The hot breakfast (eggs, etc) were gone - as was the coffee. This was a bit disappointing, but whatever.

Standard was not up to similar types of properties. It is a convenient location and priced lower than similar properties.

Very good breakfast with hot scrambled eggs, sausages, yogurt, waffles, bread, cereals and a variety of fresh fruits and juices, tea and coffee.

Other than the obvious hold that had to be placed on a credit card, and the musty/smoke/per smell in the room, the rest of the services were decent.

I didn’t know there wasn’t an elevator- that’s on me- and we had heavy luggage to carry upstairs. A first floor unit was considered but was going to cost extra - should have been a quick switch. Quiet night - almost forgot how close we were to the highway! Although we are quite familiar with the neighbourhood, the lack of sidewalks made walking to local restaurants a safety issue. Recommend going to Tiffs for dinner and Kawartha Dairy for ice cream!

The breakfast was decent with a variety to choose from...wasn't too crazy about the little pieces of ham. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately when we went into our room it had a musty smell and even though it was a smoke free room, it had a lingering odour of smoke, which I know some people do not adhere to this rule. All in all, it was tolerable for one night

The hotel was fine. It was clean except the lobby and rooms smelt musty when we first walked in. The bed was also super uncomfortable. What was nice, is that on the ground floor you have your own patio door.

When we checked in, the room we were given smelled terrible. Like a swamp. We went to the desk and were given another room - it did smell better, but it was definitely still damp. The overall condition and cleanliness of this property is really poor.

Staff were excellent. Alarm in the room went off at 6am. Mattress needs changing, sheets and towels need changing as they were yellow. Breakfast was horrendous. Do better for the price that was charged.

Very dirty and low amenities for the price you pay. $260+ for a night is a way too much for the hotel amenities and room you get.

I didn’t see anything about an incidental fee of $250 required upon check in so that was a nice surprise. There was nothing particularly wrong with the place, appeared clean but the hallways had a smell of cleaned up vomit. My daughter said her bed had a smell but over all it was OK. Would I come back? Probably not since there were other hotels on the same street that others stayed at and said was good.

I am very disappointed. I
