The location was brilliant, eating breakfast whilst watching penguins is the perfect start to the day. The staff were amazingly attentive. The food was delicious From the moment you arrive until you leave , you are made to feel like you are their only /most important guest. A truly wonderful small hotel that I would definitely revisit if I am ever in the Capetown region again

We chose this hotel to celebrate my birthday, and everything exceeded our expectations. The staff made us feel genuinely welcome and fulfilled every request with kindness and professionalism. The food was excellent, the breakfast offered plenty of choice, and the spa massage was absolutely fantastic. The direct access to Boulders Beach is a real highlight and makes the experience truly unique. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay.

We had a great stay where kids loved it the moment we walked into the hotel. The access to the beach and penguins were the highlight. The food was great so we chose to eat dinners as well at the hotel. The breakfast was sumptuous. The staff were great and kind. Overall we had a blast at this hotel and would definitely return.

We can't recommend this hotel enough. It's a beautiful, peaceful oasis. The balcony has tremendous views and you can't beat the proximity to Boulder's Beach--you walk right out the gate and are met by penguins. The staff was kind and courteous and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. The chef is incredibly talented and I had to drag my husband away from his delicious cooking!

We recently spent 6 nights at Tintswalo Boulders, and it was hands-down one of our best hotel experiences ever. The property itself is beautiful, but the staff is what really makes it special—everyone was so attentive and welcoming. Our room was spotlessly clean, well-appointed, and filled with thoughtful touches like snacks, plenty of filtered water, and an espresso maker that we definitely put to use. The food was a highlight of our trip. The included breakfast was outstanding, especially having made-to-order options each morning. We also ended up having a couple of dinners at the hotel, and they turned out to be some of the best meals we had in South Africa. The quality and service were fantastic, and we found the pricing very reasonable. Plus, the included evening canapés and reasonably priced drinks at the bar were a perfect way to wind down. Of course, the real stars of the show are the penguins. The location is simply amazing—you can walk out the back door and be right on the penguin boardwalk. We stayed during the off-season winter, which worked perfectly for us. While some people warned us that six nights in Simon’s Town might be too long, we couldn't disagree more. It was the perfect place to recharge during our longer trip around Africa. We loved our morning and evening walks to see the penguins, and the hotel served as a great base for day trips around the Cape. If you’re looking for a relaxing, high-service stay where you can really soak in the scenery, this is the place. We absolutely loved it.

L’établissement était absolument génial ! L’emplacement d’abord est incroyable, puisque juste à côté de boulders beach, et vous avez directement accès depuis l’hôtel. L’accueil ensuite était plein de millions d’attentions, le petit déjeuner était incroyable, et notre enfant a été accueilli comme un petit roi, avec bonbons et carnets de jeux. C’était adorable 😍

Ce qui peut déranger certaines personnes c’est l’absence de porte dans la salle de bain.

Excellent room and staff!

We loved our stay at Tintswalo Boulders. Two things really made it for me. The first was the great attitude of the staff, everyone we met was super friendly and engaging. The second was the access to the penguins. We set our alarm to wake before sunrise so that we could make the most of the boardwalk access to the beach from the property. We were rewarded to the beach and the penguins all to ourselves. It was just magical.

Tintswalo at Boulders Beach offers a luxurious escape with excellent service and magnificent views. We had a wonderful two days to reset and were looked after brilliantly from our welcome to our departure.

Beautiful location and rooms combined with exceptional service and food, we couldn't have asked for more for this special occasion. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an indulgent time out.

We had a spontaneous staycation night at Tintswalo Boulders, it was unbelievable. Beyond expectations, other than the fantastic views, turn down service, canapés which were served in our room and the extreme luxury, the staff were incredible. Dustin was very hands on and available to assist with anything that was needed, they are all very friendly and willing to assist or advise, always smiling. The breakfast was lovely and there are just so many touches that make it very memorable. We are planning on celebrating our first wedding anniversary there soon. Highly recommended and we can’t wait to return. It is a hidden gem and we had no idea that it would be so incredible. Thank you x

5 Star Treatment in gorgeous setting. Kirsty the manager is fantastic and the staff is great. Our room was absolutely gorgeous. The view was amazing and the food was delicious. You have a private gate to see the penguins. We stayed for two nights which was perfect.

Everything about this hotel is perfect. Our room was huge with views of the ocean and penguins! The food was amazing, the views spectacular and service was six star, from the waitstaff to the manager to the chef. If you want fantastic service, quiet, calm elegance and food that makes you want to lick the plate, then this is the place.

Blown away by this delightful, homely yet plush, boutique hotel, with its large, airy bedrooms, comfortable lounge areas, sweet rooftop pool and wonderful food. Looking to bring the entire family next time, plus another family! It's also fantastic value and you are seriously well-looked-after!

A wonderful six night stay in a great location. So relaxing and chilled. Homely in its design and ambience. A great team of staff who make you feel welcomed and nothing is too much trouble, all led by the wonderful Kirsty. Excellent food, well prepared and presented, supported by a good wine list and bar. Lots of choice for veggies and meat eaters alike and portion sizes that are very appealing. The daily 5.00pm sweet and savoury canapés offered were perfect and an added bonus. We stayed in the Water Witch suite, which is a very good size with a well stocked tray of nibbles, and a good selection of teas and coffees. The suite comes with a large patio overlooking the sea with uninterrupted views of the famous Boulder penguins. We loved everything about Tintswalo at Boulder.

They offered me a welcome cocktail and I waited on a sunny balcony overlooking the ocean while they go my room key.

Our bed unfortunately was very uncomfortable.

Once in a lifetime- that was also the claim to bring our entire family to this fantastic place. We rented the house completely for a whole week over christmas. And what a brilliant experience it was! Our eight grandchildren where completely overwhelmed by the penguins and the freedom they had in the house. Where else do you get a private play room, a roof pool and food all day long? Kirsty and her team where just marvellous- the kitchen is outstanding, the variety of our meals was stunning. We really felt at home! All our excursions where very well planned and organised so that we could really focus on our family. Once in a lifetime- however we will certainly be back! Thanks again to the whole team for making this possible!

Our experience as a family in the hotel was amazing, the food, the cleanliness of the rooms, the common spaces and most importantly the amazing view! Just wow. Big shoutout also to the staff in general. Thank you to the blonde lady at the desktop who was very attentive and made sure medical assistance got in time when needed because of fever. Also big thank you to the kitchen team and the bellboys. Couldn’t recommend more the stay at boulders. Thank you very much!

Everything - a very niche and personalised experience. Staff were incredibly personal and pay attention to detail. Every little thing they could do to go out of their way to make your stay worthwhile, they would. We are no strangers to the Tintswalo group . This experience definitely didn’t surprise but nonetheless, thank you once again to the team for always making it worthwhile. The quality of sleep we got was equally UNMATCHED! Everything! Location! Just perfect.

Fantastic location and incredible five star service and attention to detail. Everyone is incredibly welcoming making for a very special and memorable stay. This was our second time visiting and we would happily return again and again. Recommend at least a two night stay to enjoy everything fully. We would love to explore other Tintswalo properties.

The property is fantastic offering an amazing break for couples/families. Nothing to criticise about our stay or the level of service which is excellent. We note that we have always paid extra to stay in the nicest rooms with balcony and amazing view of the penguins and easy access to the pool, which we think is worth it.

Incredible hotel. The view is to die for, the beautiful ocean and of course the penguins. The staff think of everything, food fabulous, all of them can’t do enough for you. We had a sea view room with a huge balcony which led to the pool area. Bedroom was a suite and had all the home luxuries. Cannot wait to return.

This was our second stay with Tintswalo, and once again the service, food, and comfort were exceptional. The location is perfect for visiting the penguins, with a private gate offering direct access to the viewing area, which made the experience even more special. We highly recommend the prix fixe dinner; the chef is truly outstanding. Kirsty, the property manager, is the warmest and most gracious host. We absolutely love the Tintswalo group, they continue to exceed expectations.

If you’re hesitating booking for any reason just go ahead and do it! The location, service, staff, food are all excellent. We stayed in the Water Witch which has a few of the beach below and the view is stunning. The suite is large and comfortable and it has direct access to the pool.The staff are all very friendly and helpful. I’m dreaming about coming back!

This was an amazing experience, close to not only the penguins, but all the animals in this area. The staff made our stay even more enjoyable.

Short stay to see the penguins. Great view and access to boardwalk. We saw baby penguins right outside the gate. Staff very friendly and food is lovely. Hotel is very cosy and homely. Pool is slightly cool but great views. Room was very large but the bathroom was open plan.

The hotel is in a fantastic location — so relaxing with incredible views. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere made our stay feel truly special. The staff were very kind and helpful, and we were especially impressed with Jayden, who took great care of us (and our baby) throughout our stay! His warmth and attention made a real difference.

We booked the courtyard room, which is directly next to the bar, so you can clearly hear the water machine through the wall. Next time would book a different room. Additionally, there is no door to the toilet — just an open wall with the toilet tucked around the corner, which doesn’t provide much privacy.

We loved our stay at Tintswalo Boulders. The staff bent over backwards to accommodate every request. We stayed in the Water Witch suite, which has a cosy sitting area in front of a fireplace, a very comfortable king bed, and a semi open full bathroom with tub and shower. The best part of the room for us was the large balcony overlooking the penguin refuge and False Bay. We had breakfast there (included) every morning sitting at a pretty table outside overlooking the water. We also chose to eat dinner there for 2 of our 3 nights. The food was delicious, beautifully presented and it felt like a private restaurant. There are many beautiful outdoor spaces for everyone to use, from lounges in the sun by the pool to cosy spots around a fire pit. There is also a private back entrance directly to a boardwalk that goes along the penguin reserve. It's also a great place for a walk along the water.

Everything. Massive bedroom and bathroom with incredible facilities and luxury. Walked right into the Boulders path for a swim and back and away from the hustle of tourists.

The neighbouring room kept cutting across our private deck and up it to get to their room. A huge family and nearly caught me naked about five times and my partner lying on bed too. Meant we shut curtains rather than enjoyed the view. Suggested a privacy panel be erected between rooms so they couldn’t cut across.

Everything was perfect from the beginning til the end. Very friendly and hospitable staff made a really cozy atmosphere! The location is great, and the view from the window is amazing! I recommend everyone this accommodation!

What an amazing hidden gem situated right above the famous Boulder's Penguin beach. Our room was super with king bed and huge attached balcony with amazing views of the beach and ocean. Staff from butler, host and Spa were all super friendly and professional. Food served was truly 5 star with great portions. Bonus, was direct access to the Penguins from the property.

I took my wife for a 2-night stay for her birthday and Tintswalo did not disappoint. The staff are so friendly, the food was top notch, the rooms are stunning, the massage was relaxing, the pool temp was perfection. They even made her a birthday cake!! It's a 5-star experience, without 5-star pretentiousness. Everyone is genuinely lovely. Shoutout to Nur for reading my mind for the morning coffee order. Kristi, you're also an absolute gem. A gift from a family member. The venue lived up to its reputation. a family run enterprise of exceptional standards. Our room had a perfect view of the False Bay, well appointed and comfortable with a lovely large balcony to sit, relax and soak up the atmosphere (and the sunrise was amazing.)

Could not be more wonderful stay on the penguin beach. Unforgettable place comfortable room with marvelous services. Hot pool service 24hrs. during the winter time. You can also see the (littleee cutiee) penguins from the balcony. How awesome!
