Everything was perfect, comfortable bed, amazing location, beautiful breakfast! Absolutely spotless!! Had everything and more what you could of wanted. The attention to detail was spot on. Couldn't have done anymore, would highly recommend, very organised! Exceptional service! Can't fault it at all. Amazing service. Everything about this property was brilliant!

1) Steps in small room. A little hazardous, mainly at night. There is a sensor light that made it more safe. 2) Location of TV in room, needed to be in bed to watch. Would have been nice to be able to watch while sitting in the lounge area.

The location was good with easy access to Keswick and the lakes and the breakfast was fine.

The car parking was limited and awkward to access especially for a large car.

De omgeving is prachtig! De host doet enorm haar best om alles goed te regelen.

Het is een zelf-check-in waarbij het ons niet lukte om een pasje uit het sleutelkastje te krijgen. We belde aan en er kon geen ‘welkom’ vanaf maar was heel praktisch. Het bed was kort en lag niet echt lekker. Af te raden voor lange mensen. Het ontbijt is uitgebreid maar erg vroeg. Voor 18 uur die avond ervoor moet je kiezen wat je wilt en dan moet je een tijdslot kiezen van 7.45 of 8.15 uur! Een doekje aan de buitenkant bij de ramen en voordeur had geen kwaad gekund, nu hing het vol met spinnenwebben enzovoort.

Large, comfortable room and shower room; great cooked breakfast; very responsive hosts. The village is just a few minutes’ walk, with plenty of eateries and a nice shop/tea room. Loads of walks from here.

Nothing - just a suggestion: some berries or dried fruit to put on cereal for those of us who don’t take a cooked breakfast?

Fantastic views, immaculately clean and very close to village centre with 3 dining options plus parking, albeit very tight. Excellent breakfast but did feel.cramped.

On line registration form, which didn't work for me, followed by self check in then pre-order breakfast form made the whole syat very impersonal. Didn't meet the hosts unless they were serving at breakfast. I was in a single room in the attic. It was very small, not necessarily an issue, but the gables meant I had to bend down a lot and I kept banging my head. There was a bath but had no idea how to get in and out hiven the headroom.

Friendliness of the staff. Cleanliness was excellent. Attention to detail in the room was first class. Everything you could possibly need was available.

Lovely guest house. I was on the top floor during a heatwave and was worried it would be too hot, but lots of windows creating a refreshing cross breeze. The guest house was very clean and fresh. In a nice location in Braithwaite with walks from the house. Emma the owner was lovely. Cake was left out for us each day and the breakfasts were great. Would happily go back and stay again

Nothing I didn't like If I had to pick anything, then for some the car parking on the drive might feel a tight squeeze to manoeuvre into - but we managed fine.

Loved the location, breakfast was great. Emma was friendly, helpful and added extra treats to make our stay more enjoyable. Very comfortable and relaxing.

Food and setting were lovely. Very accessible to Keswick and the northern fells.

The car park is very tight and a bit of a challenge.

The guest house is beautiful and the area is gorgeous. Emma made my stay really comfortable and I felt looked after. I am vegan which normally means I miss out on things like a decent breakfast and freebies like cake and biscuits .... but Emma went above and beyond, providing mini vegan flapjacks in my room, amazing vegan cakes in the afternoons and the full cooked breakfast was superb!. I stayed in 2 seperate weekends in different single rooms as was on my mountain leader course and both rooms were very cute. The one upstairs which was slightly more expensive was worth it for the views. Thank you Emma for being so welcoming I will definitely be back 💛 Lisa Latimer x

Très bon petit déjeuner, lit confortable, gentillesse de notre hôte qui offre une part de gâteau l'après midi !

Le parking est étroit. Il y a des marches d'escalier derrière la porte de la salle de bain. Même si nous comprenons qu'il était difficile de faire autrement, c’est un risque de chute la nuit. La chambre supérieure vue jardin et montagne donne en premier plan sur une toiture un peu poussiéreuse.

Ein sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtetes B&B mit ausgezeichnetem Frühstück bei netter Gastgeberin. Schöne Ausblicke auf die umgebende Landschaft und private Parkplätze auf dem Grundstück.

Für Raucher nicht so empfehlenswert. Outdoor-Rauchen selbst auf der Straße wurde von Nachbarn kritisiert.

Everything was so so efficient! A super welcoming hotel with incredible views and wonderful staff! Little cards on arrival allowed us to request our breakfast choices for the morning and any extra bits we needed for the following day. It was lovely having a hotel that felt like a home away from home, complementary cake and a games cupboard added to the wonderful stay!

Couldn't ask for anything else If I could improve something, it would be to have one more option for breakfast, cooked breakfast is great, everyone loves it, there are other options like cereal and yoghurt, but porridge would be a good idea to add.

Emma was exceptional. Service was so personal and attentive and just very, very sweet. Breakfast was great and high quality products. Perfect throughout.

Beds were a bit too soft for my old back, haha, but all is good, syill would come back without hesitation.

Super clean

The small hill this guest house is located at makes it special every-time we are in or out of it. Was exceptionally clean. Plenty of refreshments in the room. The afternoon cakes were so nice and special and the taste did not disappoint everytime . The breakfast was of good quality. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and helpful .

I cannot complain but was a hot few days so was a bit hot but cooled down in the night with the window open.

We liked everything, owners were really helpful and lovely, couldn't do more to make our stay any better. It was exceptional! Lovely clean rooms with beautiful views, breakfast was excellent and staff very friendly and attentive to our needs. Special treatment we all got was delicious home made complimentary cake in the afternoon, if we wanted it.

I can't think of anything that we didn't like. But it might be worth mentioning that there are quite a few stairs up to some of the rooms.

The location was nice . The breakfast was good.

There wasnt much of a lounge.very basic. The bathroom smelt musty. The beds were not particularly comfy. The shower was hard to get the right temperature.

Breakfast was good, but not excellent; efficiency in planning two sittings seems to take priority over freshness of cooking; when the food arrived it had clearly been kept warm for a while. Not a great choice for vegetarians, just the horrid synthetic sausage….. You have to choose from the breakfast menu the previous day and post your selection into a box in the entrance hall. We liked the provision of fresh milk to take to our room, where there was a small fridge.

Not dislike exactly, but we were a bit surprised that there is no reception desk, guests are given a code to get their room key from a keysafe outside the door; this is more like an airb’n’b than a guest house. The system did work well however. We ever saw the owners other than at breakfast.

Lovely guesthouse in a perfect location for exploring Keswick. Emma was welcoming and friendly without being pushy, breakfast was tasty and the afternoon homemade cakes were delicious and lovely treat.

Two things: - you can hear everything going on in rooms around you. Next and above. - the breakfast, while served with good spirit and kindness unfortunately had no taste. And I've never not liked a breakfast before.

The view, the service, the location. Host superfriendoy, breakfast lovely. Honestly, will recommend it.

Should have booked a double bed as that is what I am used to but that is my fault.

This lovely old traditional house has been renovated to a high standard but has kept the charm of an older property. It was spotlessly clean. Really good shower with loads of hot water. They made a special point of catering for our daughter who is vegan...very thoughtful.

The parking is a little tricky being on a hill and when it's almost full of cars but we did manage ok.

A beautiful guest house.The owner has thought of everything .We had been up wainwrights most of the day,this was just what we needed coming back.Stocked up tea/coffee/biscuits fresh fluffy towels in the immaculate room the most amazing selection of cake(home made) in a l quaint living room (I thought I’d died and gone to heaven .The pain of the hike was all worth it.Very tasty breakfast too.A beautiful hideaway but don’t tell too many people🤫.

The views

It's about 5 minutes drive from the lake. It's on top of the hill and you clearly see surroundings and the hills nearby. I arrived late at about 10 pm and there were automatic lockers with the room cards inside. You have to put the breakfast order by 6 pm, we did it much later and still get our breakfast in the morning. There is free car park next to the hotel.

In general it's okay although maybe a bit overpriced.

This is great value for money. The location is great with stunning views and a short walk to the local pubs and restaurants. The breakfast was lovely and the owner was lovely too.

Feel bad for even mentioning a negative as it was such good value for money, but the rooms were tiny. We’re a family of 4 and not a lot of room. However, for the price we can’t complain.

Parking, coffee & cakes in the public lounge, comfy room & facilities - amazing big breakfast. Despite being in a small village, there are plenty local services & easy to walk to from the property. Excellent value for money and perfect for walkers.
