Provider-sourced guest reviews.
Good location, delicious food and drinks at the bar/restaurant, clean rooms, and comfortable mattresses.
There was noisy with some kind of music instruments in the hallway at night. I think guests should be reminded at check-in to keep the noise down. Also, the check-in process was quite long because there was a line and only one girl working at the front desk.
Internet sucks in this hotel. My entire work plan got hit bad
Very dirty room in checkin; and overall cleaning was poor. 2dollar per egg in breakfast; never heard of that. 2 dollar for bottle of water in room, 2 dollar for any type of coffee in breakfast.
Location
You need appointment to go to the pool and they allow outsiders to go to the pool No shuttle from and to the airport. Breakfast is not free and when you buy it the catering plates are empty and the just is running out and if you want a cappuccino it is extra money. There was a long line for breakfast
Location was great.
Double beds / beds were too small
Very accommodating front desk. They never said no we can’t do that
Kitchen and room was ok
The noise the air conditioning made we had to change rooms as no sleep for the first night
Nice
el room has renovated, appreciate with the new look. Staff are friendly and helpful.
I would've liked to have microwave in the room
Room was clean and well appointed
The food both room service and buffet. Very expensive and very poor
Some of the staff seemed to discriminate guests based on their appearance. Very clean room and bathroom. Had a suite but no microwaves. Also, the fridge was running but not cooling. Did not appreciate the fact that they charge extra for hotel guest parking, complete ripoff.
Very good location!

Location
When we booked this hotel we were keeping our fingers crossed based on the mixed reviews, but we didn’t have any problems at all. Our king suite on the 9th floor is quite nice. It’s spacious and clean, 2 TVs and plenty of sofa seatings. We had a comfortable 6 nights stay while visiting from NY. We really love that hotel guests can use the Unionville Athletic Club on premise. The gym is big with a lot of machines & workout equipments. Plenty of parkings on site (with fee) and very convenient location for us considered our visit mostly for Asian food/eats. We will absolutely stay here again on our next ‘food trip’!
Front desk staffs are helpful. Location is good. Suite itself is comfy.
Hard time getting into bathtub, so high. Bedding sheet not quite comfy, so heavy & noisy when turning.
I checked in around 8:00 PM. The front desk staff were friendly and professional. The room size was reasonable; however, the floor was noticeably dirty—after walking around, my socks became soiled. When I considered extending my stay, I called the front desk from my room to inquire about the process. Unfortunately, the staff member on duty was unable to provide any information. The only response I received to all my questions was, “I don’t know—you’ll need to call the hotel tomorrow morning,” which was quite disappointing. As a result, I decided not to extend my stay and checked out as scheduled.
stayed for one night. Very disappointed that check in is at 4 pm and the pool closed at 7 and you have to make an appointment. For this reason I was unable to use amenities I paid for. The spa closed at 8 pm again due to check in timing unable to use amenities. The fact that it was a Saturday night and amenities shut down so early is very disappointing. Cleanliness in room was satisfactory. The coffee station had coffee stains on sugar packets, no stir sticks and the creamer was sour. The shampoo, and creams were pretty much empty. The price is too high for the quality of service received. I probably would not return.
Proximity to what we were attending
Our room was newly renovated, but the finishes were sloppy. Paint marks on the trim and floors in the bathroom, etc. The coffee at the lounge was cold.

room was nice
the fact that you couldn't use the pool when you wanted, had to book a time and not liking the fact that I had to use a Q code. Q codes are not very secure.
Nice hotel, amazing room but front desk/billing hassle will prevent me from ever staying at a Hilton again. My work booked a room for 4 nights for me to attend work skills fair at nearby conference centre. When I got to hotel the room that my employer had booked and PRE PAYED for had a “problem” with the credit card. It was late and I just payed the cost of the room myself at that point. Front desk staff didn’t care about this stating “well at least your reservation wasn’t cancelled” Fast forward to check out they wanted to scan my card again even though I had supposedly paid the whole balance on check in and had receipt to say so. I got home and they charged me TWICE for the entire stay (not even a pending and actual two full charges) I called hotel and again staff didn’t seem phased that this was a huge error and stressor for their customer. Stated it would be reversed within 7 days. Is is common practice for one of the largest hotel chains to charge their customers twice ? (not to mention toon the $600 hold on my card additionally for damage deposit) I have NEVER had such a billing nightmare at any hotel I have stayed at. Double charge was eventually reversed but not worth the stress to book here again.
Close to venue I was attending
Staying in second building to go to the pool you have to walk a far distance or go outside . You also have to book a time slot to use the pool .

Lobby was very welcoming upon arrival. Staff was very nice. Rooms were clean and quite large with newer furniture.
Rooms didn’t have extra pillows or blankets. No microwave and fridge didn’t keep item cold. The pool isn’t operated by the actual hotel and reservations were needed to use it. Sessions were only 45 minutes long. Hockey tournament during our stay and kids were running and yelling until 1:30 am.
beds were comfortable
the room was not very clean i found used condoms and wrappers under the sheets of the bed and there was marker on the bath tub we were not very happy
The shower walls were really dirty, it looked uncleaned
The room was clean and comfortable. The bed had good sheets and was comfortable to sleep in. The furniture was in good shape and did not look worn.
The bathroom showed some moderate signs of age.

To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally report a deeply disturbing and unacceptable incident that occurred during my stay at your hotel on the night of July 4, 2025. After completing the check-in process at the front desk, I was issued a key card for Room 605. Upon attempting to enter the room, I was met with a terrifying and shocking experience—someone inside the room shouted at me as I opened the door. This unexpected confrontation caused me and my companions significant emotional distress and fear. We were visibly shaken and felt completely unsafe. I immediately returned to the front desk to report what had happened. Initially, I was told that the room was unoccupied and that I must have made a mistake. The front desk staff then accompanied me back to Room 605. When we opened the door, the room was indeed empty—but there was a strong odor of marijuana and trash on the floor, clearly indicating recent occupancy. This only intensified our fear and confusion. At that point, the front desk changed their explanation, saying they would check for alternative accommodations. However, they soon informed me that Room 605 was the last available room. I strongly objected and demanded to review the surveillance footage and requested a refund due to the safety concerns. To temporarily placate me, the hotel assigned me to a different room. Unfortunately, the new room had serious maintenance issues, which I immediately reported that same night by phone. I was told that someone would be sent to fix the problem, but no one ever came. By then, it was already 3 a.m.—I was exhausted, frightened, and distressed. I asked that someone from management contact me the following day to resolve the issue. However, no one ever followed up, nor did anyone reach out to offer assistance. On the evening of July 6, at approximately 8:00 p.m., I personally went to the front desk and reported the issue again. Once again, I was promised that someone would be sent “right away,” but no one eve
We stayed in a spacious two-bedroom suite and appreciated the thoughtful fruit basket and card provided during our stay while the hotel was undergoing construction. After checkout, there was a miscommunication, and once I contacted the hotel, Mohit Singh, Grace at the front desk, and Manager Marcos communicated with me professionally and consistently until the matter was resolved. Special thanks to Grace for her exceptional customer service and Marcos for personally following up. Overall, the team’s professionalism and commitment to guest satisfaction stood out.
Great housekeeping and front desk staff. Efficient, and very friendly and helpful.
Some maintenance work meant not all facilities (coffee bar in main lobby) were available during my stay.

Opened in 1989 as Markham’s Embassy Suites and then re-branded to Hilton Suites in 2002, this hotel is something of an icon. Its front, mostly glass façade, is eye-catching and has, in many ways, become synonymous with Markham and Metro Toronto. Indeed, I was elated to be attending a conference here exactly because the hotel is so well-known. Those of us who grew up in the early to mid-1990s will understand this: I remember watching old Canadian gameshows like Supermarket Sweep, before heading off to school, and seeing what was then “Embassy Suites” being advertised. And now, here I am! It was a fun moment. Full disclosure: I did not stay at the Hilton Markham Suites; however, I did partake in a multi-day conference here. The conference was so-so, but the hotel, conference centre, staff and service were all easily 5-stars. The service staff were “on the ball,” as they say, and – shockingly – the catering was phenomenal! As someone who’s attended numerous conferences over the years I can say, without hesitation, that the catering @ Hilton Markham Suites was easily the best I’ve had at these sorts of events. For dinner on evening #1, for example, we had: Dim Sum, sushi, skewered chicken, charcuterie, ravioli, chow mein, seasonal veggies, fresh fruit, cake, and panna cotta. Then, for lunch on days 2 and 3 we didn’t just have the usual stale sandwiches that are usually served at big conferences. Quite the contrary! Instead, we had short ribs, mashed potatoes, white fish, salmon, pasta salad, Greek salad, and veggies. In short, this was the first time – in a long time – I didn’t duck out during lunch and dinner to eat elsewhere. I have to say, if the quality of the conference space and catering was of such a high level, it REALLY makes me wish I could’ve stayed in the actual hotel (most conference attendees were booked here, but latecomers had to stay elsewhere). The main lobby, with its marble columns, dual spiral staircases, and attractive lobby bar hint at the excellence this hotel offers. I don’t usually fawn over a hotel, but this one was most enjoyable to visit and at least partake in the conference facilities. Perhaps next time I’m in the area I’ll actually get to stay here . . .
The hotel was beautiful, staff was friendly. Food was great.
The pool hours aren't great.
Very friendly staff hotel workers/personal.
I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Very clean rooms and very good service. Except for the breakfast which was not included in the room. The price was reasonable but it was too far from the city center and that's why I changed the hotel. The hotel had free parking which was very good for me as I had rented a car in Toronto where parking costs a lot.
We booked this hotel for one night after a conference. There were 5 of us so we chose a 2-bedroom suite, specifically choosing this hotel because of it. We didn’t arrive at the hotel until after 5pm at which time we were told that they needed to ‘check the room was ready’. We were asked to wait in the lobby while they did so. A manager then came and spoke to us, letting us know that there had been a leak in the room which she needed to check was fixed. She then came back 10 minutes later to let us know that there was a hole in the wall and that the room would not be ready. She offered us two adjoining rooms instead of our suite. Upon arrival to the rooms, we found a spot in front of the floor length mirror that appeared to have blood on the carpet (we let the front desk know on check out) as well as the main entry doors looked as though dogs had tried to scratch through them. The overall cleanliness of the rooms were fine but nothing extraordinary. They did give us complimentary fruit plates and two small bottles of water (there were 5 of us). I ended up paying the same price as I would have for the suite. I think given that we didn’t even arrive until 5pm, the issue with the leak should I have been dealt with prior to our arrival. I understand that problems happen that are out of anyone’s control- it’s not the leak itself that was annoying but how nobody seemed to know anything about it until we arrived, 1hr after standard check-in time.
