No Scottie tissue, no bedside lamp, no coffee/kettle in room.

Spotless and comfortable. Owner is a rock star. Great value … very fair!

It was beyond well cared for. Everything was in tip top condition and more like a family home than a motel. It appeared that some of the rooms were in the process of being updated.

The staff were helpful and friendly.

It had a vacancy. Wasn’t really planning on staying in Wawa but the Trans Canada highway was closed and Google Maps rerouted me through hwy 129 to Wawa.

It was very dated.

Surprise charges. We are pet owners and have a cat, and we’re charged $50 extra dollars for the cat for one night and this needs to be posted on Bookings. Pet friendly is $0 to $25 max. Charging extra for using a debit card is only appropriate when buying a bag of chips not a $200/night room. And didn’t tell us there was going to be a charge for that. Would have used my credit card. Also, noisy neighbors, thin walls.

This is such a quaint little motel. The beds were very comfortable. This is a basic place to stay and definitely worth the cost. It was extremely clean and comfortable. The staff were awesome and in the morning the office offered great coffee and wonderful freshly made muffins. We would definitely stay here again.

It’s a very basic facility so didn’t have shampoo or a hair dryer.

The woman at the front desk was so incredibly lovely - kind, accommodating, funny and helpful despite our extremely last minute booking. The room was cosy, comfortable and more spacious than I anticipated. The fresh-baked muffins the next morning were divine! Lots of towels provided.

All ground floor rooms so could park right at the door. Easy access off highway. Cozy rooms.

We blew a breaker by having several things powered at once so maybe the electrical system could use tweaking. Not a significant issue for us. The office staff quickly responded and for the rest of our stay we were mindful.

The location was good. They had muffins and coffee for breakfast excellent TV selection to watch.

I saw it was pet friendly online. Slid the i was traveling with pets icon on booking.com. did not get asked if I had pets at check in when leaving the owner said are you traveling with a dog i replied yes. He suggested I snuck it in and did not disclose to the receptionist I had a dog and charged me with a $330.00+ dollar charge for cleaning.

Old style family motel. Perfect for a multi day road trip. Bakery attached to the office was fantastic. Mmmmm good.

Freshly baked muffins are offered every morning at 7 but we were on the road by then. The front desk attendant was very friendly. The linens were very clean and though dated the room was spotlessly clean. It was affordable, conveniently located and we had a good night’s sleep.

It was a bit strange that the bathroom sink was located outside the room with the toilet and tub. The pillows were a bit flat.

The location was good. Our room was at the back of the motel so we had to drive around the block to find it (a little challenging in the dark). We had a truck and trailer and found a spot on the street to park as the parking lot wasn’t big enough. The room was clean and comfortable and had WiFi.

The bathroom fan, which came on with the light, was very noisy. The walls were thin and we could hear someone snoring in the next room.

The price for the room was a great value, but the motel is somewhat old and out-dated. The room was small but very clean. The motel is pet friendly, which was a big reason for choosing it. You can park right in front of your room, the room has good WiFi, a min-fridge, a microwave, and the bath had been modernized and updated. My only complaints are that the beds were sagging and somewhat uncomfortable and there is no breakfast included. What we weren't told however is that there is a muffin and breakfast cakes 'cafe' on the premises where you can buy muffins, sweets, and croissants. I only discovered it when I went to check out in the morning.

Best value for $$. Don’t hesitate. Stay there. This is my fourth time … and I will visit / stay again almost surely. I travelled in the fall, with my partner and a very aged parent. Safe, secure, comfortable and clean. Steve

The room was very clean and comfortable, and the owner was a very sweet older gentleman who was very helpful. We had to be on the road early, so sadly we didn't get to try the famous muffins😞

Algoma motel was convenient, clean, cute and cozy.The decor was dated but that added to its charm. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. A bonus was that our Bernedoodle was welcome at no extra charge. The homemade muffins were yummy!

This dog friendly motel is such a beautifully quiet and peaceful place to stay in Wawa. I LOVE staying in single-floor motels. It's such a sweet break from hearing people stomping over your head 24/7 because these days people only seem to know how to walk on their heels. My room was small but super comfortable with plenty of exra blankets and pillows and a microwave in the suite and plenty of water pressure. The area is so peaceful and quiet. This was my favorite of all the places I stayed this summer.
