We really enjoyed our stay here, it was nice and relaxing.

Not enough space to move around. Couldn’t find staff to ask for clean towels.

The location was a little out the way, but it was ideal for a quick stop over. The room was incredibly clean, and well provided. The hotel doesn't have staff on site which meant that the noise and behaviour in the place was unmanaged. This resulted in a very sleepless night as folks wandered around, created noise and were inconsiderate without challenge. This is a shame as it was a lovely single room.

There was a microwave but no hairdryer, one bowl, plate and glass so hard to use the microwave without items to help. There was only one towel in the bathroom so again made having a shower hard as a female with long hair. And meant i had to use the same towel i'd used for drying my hands after using the loo. Small things as the overall cost was great for the area.

A wonderful stay. The first room we had was directly looking on to the driveway entrance meaning we felt uncomfortable leaving the curtains open. A quick phone call and moved us within minutes. Super comfortable bed and pillows! Very clean and had all the basic kitchen amenities we needed. The multi colour lighting added a nice ambience to the room. No air-con but the fan was great. Excellent location too.

The bathroom shower drain had a bad smell which we noticed after a shower. Reported this to the cleaners. The freezer door in the mini fridge must have been left open by previous occupants as it had iced a lot and wouldn't close so we couldn't use it, but the rest of the fridge worked fine.

It was lovely place to stay, quiet and good location. Enjoyed the fact had a fridge/kettle/microwave and relaxing ceiling lights. We would definitely stay again.

Car parking was limited but you can park on roadside, and receiving code for kotel I personally would of preferred slightly earlier as I was worrying that it hadn't come through, and yeah exactly 3pm it arrived.

The self check in process works as with most apartments now it is self check in and the Kotel is a hotel / apartment hybrid and it worked. Suite 21 A quirky suite tucked away in the roof space and somehow they have managed to get a bed a dining table a dressing table a kitchen and a lovely bathroom to fit. A really nice room

On a personal choice the bed was to soft There are a few minor maintenance issues The blind in the bathroom does not work and closing the velux is a challenge even with the pole that is left. There was a pungent smell in the bathroom that is caused by a waste not being sealed or trapped, so the wash hand basin bottle trap waste, the inset shower waste need to be checked and cleaned to ensure they are working correctly. The likely cause however could be the shower floor gully as it is likely not much water goes down that can result in water stagnating, None of the above is a major issue and with a little attention the pungent smell will go and will not detract from the fact it is a nice room / suite.

The room was adequately sized and clean and in a good location. Parking on site was available. It looked lovely from the outside very quaint.

Would have preferred to have been greeted by someone. There was just a number to ring if you had issues, a little impersonal. There was no breakfast on site that we were told about. The room was adequate but had a really noisy fridge. So my husband and i had no sleep. We left the following day and requested a refund for the night we didn't stay but that was rejected. We found alternative hotel with better facilities but had to pay again. Would have expected a better response.

Location was ok

Room very dated, bed creaked and was very hard, woke with sore hips, constant noise that came on throughout the night and kept us awake, walls to next room were paper thin, I could actually hear them on the toilet.

The location was great and the property has a nice lawn where you can spend quiet time.

Nothing as such but if there was a cooking hob in the standard studio too that would be great.

We loved the location, privacy, parking, facilities, hiw clean and up to date it was and how close to the shops and restaurants it was. Overall a great stay.

There wasn't anything we didn't like, although we did request twin beds and we opened the door to a double.

Its nearby town centre location perfect for everything to explore.

The property was very modern with good facilities. Location was great 5/10 minute walk to lots of restaurants & bars would stay again only thing that bothered me was the rooms were really warm there was a fan but would definitely be a 10/10 if there was air conditioning.

Difficult to find iron and ironing board- wasn’t expecting to crawl on hands and knees to find under the bed- ok for me, am flexible, but would have liked a heads up- thought the room wasn’t large enough to accommodate them. Only looked under bed to check I wasn’t leaving anything behind!

Extremely hot even with windows open and fan on; though this may be due to the hot weather. The shower had very low water pressure. The fridge didn’t really keep any bottles of juice or food cold just slightly chilled.

The property was spacious with a large comfy bed. The outdoor area is peaceful and well kept.

Everything about the property was great our only issue was the tv in the bedroom didn’t have a remote and we contacted the property to ask where it was and didn’t get a response until we had checked out the following day.

Rooms to a high standard, kettle, microwave and fridge in the room. Short walk into town with lots of places to explore for food, shops etc. Location great for exploring the lake district.

Here’s a polished review: Our stay was beyond our expectations. The accommodation was exceptionally clean, and everything felt brand new. It was comfortable, well-maintained, and had everything we needed. The photos and description honestly don’t do this place justice. They don’t fully reflect how lovely it is, so I think the property deserves much better marketing. Don’t let the listing put you off—the actual experience is far better than advertised. Highly recommended, and we would happily stay here again.

Very comfortable self catering apartment with all you need. Fairly handy for Windermere Town but a bit further if you were to walk down to Bowness. There's a pub just across the road called Brookside, but seems to be only be open weekends currently. Overall nice experience.

The lighting set up seems to be a bit hit and miss. I think there maybe some switches that don't clicks properly, but wasn't a massive issue.

Very handy having the small fridge, microwave, toaster, crockery etc as well as the kettle in the room.

The sink was absolutely tiny, too small to wash a mug in, never mind a plate.

The first room we stayed in was tiny but they moved us to larger room in n was fantastic

Beautiful location in Windermere, with plenty of parking and a big beautiful entrance to the estate! The rooms were big and airy with everything needed for a family / group of friends! Bathroom was very clean and fully stocked (I would have liked some hair conditioner, but that’s not an issue!). Passcode was sent within the check in time, and the staff had even laid some rose petals for our one year anniversary celebrations! Very impressed. Will be back again 🙌

We stayed in Room 1 on ground floor, it’s done out beautifully. Can’t fault it and will be staying again.

I think for £244 for one night you should either be able to check in earlier or alternatively, check out later. A 10am check out is too early in my opinion.

We were in the Attic. Too many stairs.

We booked this stunning property extremely last minute. I called the host to enquire about our elderly dog staying and how easy the outdoor access was. He was very informative and provided me with the information I required to book our stay. We arrived at the accommodation, it exceeded our expectations so much we booked for another night within minutes of arriving. This place is central to the top and bottom of Windermere. For those who have never been, it’s a ten minute walk to the main lake with bustling bars and restaurants. In the opposite direction it’s a 5 minute walk to the top with equal measures of bars, restaurants and tourists shops. We couldn’t ask for a better location. Spotless accommodation with outdoor access for our elderly dog. The outdoor patio from the bedroom led to a stunning outdoor south facing garden that was a real bonus. An additional bonus is the lounge area, a huge dining table, a large flat screen tv and the comfiest sofas!! It’s been a blast. We would 1000% recommend this place and will revisit.

I knew about the facilities before i got there but its name is Kotel ..i think meaning Hotel . But no bar , no breakfast facilities . But for the money i think there should be more facilities . My room was an apartment ..but really it was just a big room with a extra sink , plates/cutlery and a small table . The shower at 7 pm was cold ... The wifi signal was rubbish

Its decor and style is phenomenal and done to a very high standard. The space is amazing and it’s got absolutely everything you could need for a stay. It was easy to use everything and we had a wonderful time. The grounds are beautiful and there’s plenty of parking. Check in was very easy as was checking out. The booking process was excellent and we enjoyed our stay.

The mattress was a little uncomfortable for me personally it might be in need of a topper.

Location great, as a sole traveller - near enough to social places with a nice little walk back. Somewhere to park if you need it. The room was very well equipped and public areas well lit. Light and spacious.

I was only there for one night, but I didn't dislike anything....if you don't want to eat out there's a microwave for a ready meal, or to warm up your takeaway
