Fantastic location,Accommodation and Staff. The breakfast was great really enjoyed the whole experience and will be going again
Couldn't think of anything
位置很好,距离Orrest Head徒步很近,距离镇中心也很近,吃饭很方便,院内也能免费停车。
价格有些小贵,没有电梯,顶楼搬行李很累
Clean and well located
Unwilling to.give.us what we booked unless we paid a supplement.
Great location and staff were excellent.
The staff were really friendly. A casual place basic. Breakfast was lovely small pastries cereals toast is do it your self in the machine or cooked options. Central to the town a 2 min walk if that and a few mins drive to a lovely swim spot. Shower great hot hot water. Great value for money. Included was the use of the Damson dean hotel spa (there sister hotel) about a 15 min drive away. Again lovely staff. However dated and unfortunately the pool was cold on the two days we used it. We had a fantastic massage with Sharon and I would highly recommend!
Lovely property however it is dated. The bed sadly was not comfortable a new mattress required. Bathroom fan full of dust and a portable fan full of dust. Maybe has not been used for a while not sure.
Nice breakfast professionally made and served room was great and they were happy to grant our request of twin beds
Shower was difficult to operate at first but we got the hang of it.
Location is good
I can describe my 1 night staying as a not comfortable staying. My room was located in the (ground floor with 2 beds supposed to be for 2 adults!), literary there was no space to move inside the room or to have 2 persons’ luggage! The bed was soo small for an adult! It was a hard August night as the weather was hot so it was hard to sleep as the only source of having some air to breath was the window which is actually opens directly to the street in a ground floor where I expect any person or insect or animal to be inside the room through that window!! I do not recommend the breakfast. The location was good.
Good location Friendly staff Great breakfast variety
Thin walls Uncomfortable bed Mould in the bathroom
Breakfast was very good!
Entry and hallway look old and worn out
The location was good.
The place has serious hygiene issues. This room is disgusting. Mould on the walls, a grimy bathroom, a dusty fan, and even the bedsheet is covered in mould spots. The single window barely opens, so the whole place feels dirty and trapped. The staff are neither friendly nor professional, one male receptionist even walked into our room without shoes! For the price they charge, it feels like robbery.
We like the 4 post bed and the bed was comfortable
When you come after 6pm their no one too greet you, their a sign saying if you over ring the emergency phone number you be fine £20 and their was an unfriendly feel when you come through the door. Also when I read there was a spa I thought by the description it was a small walk away but it was over 5 miles away what was over 15 minutes journey via car. They advertise the spa on a poster near the reception but on the the piece of welcoming you there no words about it and it not in the welcome pack either. The cook breakfast was awful the baked beans I couldn’t describe how bad they tasted, sausages was hard, bacon tasted like perfume and hash browns look like they being left to thaw out and didn’t tasted warm at all. Cold breakfast was good though. The lady who serve us came across like she didn’t want to be there and when I ask her a friendly question about 4 in the bed her reply was stern and unfriendly. We didn’t ask her anything else We book for two day one being last minute. We were in one room and then the host realise they can’t leave us in that room. They said they rang us but I didn’t have any miss calls although the signal can be unpredictable in Windermere but I would have thought they could have left a voicemail at least. The receptionist had no choice but to move all our stuff out to the new room.My husband took exceptional to this because he doesn’t like his stuff to be touch by anyone especially his clothes he felt violated. The room we were put in was tiny, had a poo stained on the toilet seat and it was the size of Harry potter cupboard room. We both needed a plug socket by the side of our bed due to medical reasons but there was none. They had no room that could give us this and they had no extension plug either so I suggested we get transferred to sister hotel and luckily this was possible.
The room and especially the bathroom were spacious and very clean. Convenient location. About 10 min walk from Windermere station, the bus stop to Bowness and shops/cafes etc are also close.
The receptionist wasn't there when we checked out so we could not ask questions.
Free parking and the staff wer amazing

Spacious rooms, good breakfast, good customer service
Perfect location, a nice walk down to the lake, right next to bus stops, lovely hosts
All of the staff were friendly and very accommodating and there were plenty of options for breakfast.
I don't think there was anything.
Location was excellent. Staff were friendly. Connor was really helpful and friendly.
It was a little dated and needed work
Perfect location with off road free parking.
No lift
.
nothing perfect location and great hosta
The view from the window
No lift
It was a good sized room for a twin, on the ground floor. The bathroom was excellent, with bath and shower. Food was good with a decent choice. Our room faced the main road but was quiet at night
My only complaint, as it always is. The pillows could have been better.
Location is perfect. Staff very friendly and helpful. Family room was a great size with a private bathroom with bath and shower perfect for kid. Clean and cosy.
Mattress slightly uncomfortable, but that could just be preference.
Beds comfy, good breakfast, great host
I feel a 3 star would be better than a 4 star. Carpet needs a good clean, walls and doors need decorating, mould in bathroom bits missing off shower, plug socket need fixing not screw on wall properly.
Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast excellent with plenty of choice. We like the fact that this place is dog friendly and have stayed here before. Ideal location for both Windermere village and Bowness Looking forward to our next stay
Location to town and bus route
Nice rooms , amenities, break fast
Its summer and the room was in floor 2 ,superhot. There was no lifts
Near to the centre of Windermere, friendly staff.
Hotel in need of a refurb, the room was smelled musty and had road noise from outside, no double glazing. Long black hairs left in the corner of the bathroom. No toilet roll holder so we had to hold the toilet roll in tour hand to rip paper off.

Location & breakfast were good, shower was great. Staff were friendly and helpful.
We didn’t like the fact that dogs were allowed in the dining room (unhygienic). We found the security at night lax, we arrived back at midnight & the main front door was still unlocked enabling easy access for anyone and there wasn’t any staff about which made us uneasy as our room was close to reception. We didn’t like the red piece of material at the end of the bed, as they weren’t very clean, mine had a stain on it.
The property is historic old building, nicely maintained to expectation. The location is excellent.

Great Location
Nice location, easy walk from the train station. Very nice breakfast cooked to order.
It is dated and a bit run down. Mold in the shower. Fan in the room didn’t work well, so it was very hot at night.
A good location outside the centre of Windermere but close enough to walk into town and down to Bowness- on-Windermere. Your own front door key so you could come and go as you pleased even after the front doors were locked.
My room was in the roof space which had fine views, however with a sloping roof and low protruding beams, I did hit my head a few times.
Mould around shower and the shower didn’t drain properly.
The location was perfect, situated in the middle of Windermere it was only a couple minute walk to cafes, shops and pubs
The room was very dated and in need of maintenance, with peeling damp on part of the ceiling and several chips to the walls and furniture. The room listing stated that an iron was provided but there wasn’t one. When we raised this with reception, we were told our room didn’t come with an iron despite the advertised amenities. We were told they would try to find one, but no one got back to us. This was a major inconvenience as we were attending a wedding and hadn’t brought our own because we expected one to be available. The room was also unbearably hot, and although a fan was provided, it was ineffective and made very little difference.
Location, room size
The room lacked a fan despite the intense heat, making it nearly impossible to stay cool. Furthermore, the Wi-Fi was extremely slow, rendering it effectively unusable. When we raised these concerns, staff were unhelpful, noting that the owner is unwilling to invest in upgrades. To top it off, breakfast was poorly managed; essential items like butter were out of stock on the last , with staff informing us that restocking would not happen for another three days. These operational failures make for an unacceptable guest experience. The staff needs to be more empathetic!
On main road near to bus stop
Not up to standard expected of 4 star guest house Only one window would open Hair dryer cut out after one minuet therefore no use Shower area disgusting -grouting black - cable to shower head disgustingly black - nowhere to put shampoo or shower gel unless using floor which meant bending down every time this was not safe
Decent choice, reasonable time range. Helpful staff. Well presented.
Wonky toilet seat
Cleanliness and Staff. Breakfast.
No lift. Small room. Window not opening very far Only 2 coat hangers
Location is amazing. Beautiful place to stay
The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good.
the twin room was extremely hot and the fan provided was very small for 2 persons. But the most surprising thing was they charged us 10 pounds for just keeping the luggage for 3 hours.
The breakfast and the Location
The ground floor room was very hot, the windows didn't open properly and the fan wasn't strong to cover 2 persons. We also didn't like that they charged extra for keeping our luggage for 3 hours.
Just like classic, but there is not clean rubbish absolute rubbish
Absolutely not clean
Breakfast was excellent. The room was on the second floor with no lift (the property is an old house converted into a B&B. The property requires a general overhaul and may create a possibility of installing a lift. My wife and I are nearly 70 years old And going up the stairs wasn't that easy for us. We had asked for a room change, but with no luck. I highly recommend that some sort of AC system be installed. When we were there, it was a heatwave, and we could hardly sleep. The weather is changing, and the UK is not prepared for it. Location was great, with only a few minutes to Windermere near the boats. The health club was about a 10-15-minute drive, which was ok considering a drive in the countryside. The car park was ok and always had a place reserved for you.
At least, a proper fan could have been better, the fan at full speed with little feeling of wind. This B&B is not suitable for the elderly on the second floor. At a minimum, we expected to be placed in a room suitable for us, given our age.
Nothing
Attic room, no windows (skylights), small like a coffin, stained carpet, peeling paint, horribly stained 2 feet from bottom black mouldy shower curtain, dangerous to get into bed as sharp corner on ceiling. Noisy on road. Manager incredibly rude. Ignored us completely when showed him photos of room (remained silent). Refused refund and ignored emails.
Rooms very comfortable with an excellent supply of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits. Also a great supply of toiletries. Breakfast was excellent, English Breakfast or cooked breakfast. Connor was just wonderful, extremely friendly and gave us great recommendations on our next adventure in Scotland. Location just perfect.
Nothing
Everything. The bedding was mucky, when I pulled the covers back there was some kind of spider. The shower hose and walls were mouldy. We went to the other hotel to use the leisure facilities, the sauna and steam room didn’t work. We couldn’t swim as 3 young men were messing around. The breakfast was undercooked, the eggs were slimy, the beans were mushy and tasted old and the bacon was uncooked. We left our breakfast and checked out at 8.30am and will not be returning
this place is the best, right on the edge of town, the staff are amazing and so helpful, and our room WOWza!
that we had to leave and come home
距离火车站8分钟左右脚程,位置还可以,靠近windermere library bus stop.服务人员很专业,她也很辛苦,一切都还不错,早餐也很丰富,如果要延后 check in,务必提前和工作人员沟通好。
Good location. Downhill walk to Bowness ( regular bus service to come back uphill ! ) Good sized twin room on ground floor. Lovely freshly cooked breakfast. Pleasant staff
Good choice of breakfast. Great location with a bus stop outside, close to supermarket, restaurants and pubs.
On the top floor with a dog wasn't ideal.
Near shops and restaurants. Very quiet at night.
Room was dated, cushions on bed looked dirty. No lock on bathroom door. One light above bed not working. Breakfast average. Creaking stairs
Breakfast, car parking
Room was dirty, very small bed, heard everyone in the next rooms.
Location
Top floor room, sloping ceiling, had to crouch to get in and out of bed. The heat was unbearable. Left after one night, was booked in for 2.
Lovely sized room we stayed in the Oscar Wilde suite. Sofa beds in the living room made up for the kids, loads of room and big 4 poster in the bedroom. The breakfast was beautiful, thank you
Whilst I slept well the mattress was a little too firm for me. This would not put me off staying again however it was lovely.
Room was huge
Convenient, near train station
We loved this property!! It was beautiful! The family room was gorgeous and spacious. The bed was large and comfortable and the couch beds were made up and ready for us. The bathrooms were clean and updated. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was friendly and courteous. We really enjoyed our stay and wished we could have stayed longer!
There is nothing that we didn’t enjoy. It was really the perfect stay!
location, breakfast, room
Breakfast was excellent :-). Very friendly welcoming staff. Added bonus having parking.
A few stains on the carpet. Room was very hot but it was a hot day and a fan was provided
Breakfast was ok, location was good and parking.
The room was very hot and very in need of a refurb. I asked for a fan as there wasn't one in the room but I didn't sleep well.
All good

Very good location and breakfast
The bed was a bit soft and not large enough!
The room was delightful. All needs anticipated.
Good sized rooms. Well equipped. Very good breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff.
The location right in the heart of Windermere is fantastic. Free parking a bonus. The receptionist who also served breakfast was lovely. Breakfast hearty and filling. The bed was really comfy.
The bathroom... In need of a very very deep clean. Black mold everywhere and spiders. I would suggest ditching the single use plastic and plastic cups in favor of saving some money and investing in some fresh tile grouting.
Just one night stay. Super easy check in/out. Near city centre, got halal food nearby.
Other than the room being a bit small for 2 people with luggage - everything was fine
Room size
Comfortable room. Very efficient breakfast service.
Location
Not enough gluten free options
The staff was rude. Initially we were allowed to extend our stay for an extra hour and then the day of our departure we were told that we had to leave early.
Irish host was lovely
Creaky bed, cold shower, lack of hot breakfast at 9.45am on Sunday, stale crumpets and weetabix
The hosts were very helpful when I needed to change dates. Rooms were very clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was amazing as was the location of the B&B Already booked again for August
There wasnt anything yi duslije
Good location.
Bedrooms are basic.
Everything was just how we expected and served our purpose above and beyond.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good.
The property was a bit tired and could do with some outside seating area especially in the nice weather. Some issues with the heating (boiler) leaving room too warm. Door to room had visible gap between door and floor. The room was clean and comfortable.
Location
Lack of lounge room or bar.
Location, breakfast
Bed mattress sagged in middle. Could only open 1 window and the curtains can’t be closed ( at least if trying by hand from standing close but on the floor.)
I spent almost one hour to find this hotel when I got nearby, the hotel actually name is a little different from the name on booking! I asked the service man , he just told me to search the address code into Google map, but actually the route on Google map was not accurate for this hotel ! At last I just asked one person who was walking dog nearby, he showed me the location. The facilities is just normal, I didn’t have different experience. I have noticed the outside door need to close for security, but when I got up early, the door was open, probably they forgot close it. I didn’t see any service person for the whole stay. The restaurant is very small, but you can also asked for hot food, probably this was the oily thing I was satisfied!
As above
Location is great, rooms are comfortable, staff are very friendly and kind
Breakfast choices are quite limited but for overall price it’s not that big of a deal, room was very hot but again can’t really be helped during a UK heatwave, more ventilation would be ideal
Everything
Nothing
Good location. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed and pillow. Dogs friendly. Breakfast dietary needs catered to.
Noisy person in the room next door(we ended up buying some ear plugs). Little choice for gluten/dairy free.
The location, breakfast and free parking
There are no staff after 17:30, the room was not very clean when we arrived, but we could not point out this issue at the time because the staff left the premises. A cigarette filter was in the bathroom when we arrived. If you need anything after 20 hrs, you can call them but you can be charged £20 at their discretion. The tea, coffee, towels and toilet paper were not replenished during our stay, so we ran out of milk and finished with almost no toilet paper. They charged £15 extra per night per dog friendly room for cleaning, but they did not clean the room during our stay and they did not provide us with a refund. The dog friendly room is at the very top of the building, which is not ideal. The staff were defensive when these issues were pointed out during check out.
Friendly staff
Good location with decent parking. Decent room and nice breakfast. Badly need to invest in a new toaster?Enjoyable stay with good nearby eating choices.
Toaster as stated.
Preis / Leistung unschlagbar gut. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und die Lage zentral. Der Parkplatz direkt vor dem Gästehaus war riesig.
Das Hotelzimmer war in die Jahre gekommen und könnte eine Modernisierung hier und da gut vertragen
The off-site health club is a great asset. The staff there were welcoming. The spa was a lovely treat and we ate our evening meal there too. The Windermere Park is in a great location and the breakfast was great - our dogs also welcomed the sausage treat they were served.
There is a problem with the heating which meant that the bedroom was stifling, even with the window fully open and outside temperatures below 10C. There isn’t a full time reception staff member; the welcome we received was nothing like the warm welcome we have received elsewhere, though the restaurant staff were lovely.
Good space parking, close to town centre.
Traffic noise very loud as B&B is on the main rd. Shower performance very poor, and fan not working making room very hot, manager didn't seem to care when mentioning it. Breakfast options poor. Free health club is a 20mins drive away, why advertising it if not on site. Not value for money in my opinion.
The hotel is located right in the centre of Windermere, so it is very close to restaurants, supermarkets, and other useful facilities. It also has a spacious private car park, which is a great relief considering how expensive parking can be in the Lake District. The breakfast was a typical English breakfast and quite decent overall, although the buffet selection was not especially varied. Not every staff member was equally warm, but overall the service still felt friendly and welcoming. The room had multiple beds, and the two ceiling windows added a very romantic atmosphere. Housekeeping was also excellent — the room was cleaned daily (as long as requested), and fresh towels were always provided promptly.
However, if you are travelling with family, especially with a baby, I would strongly recommend packing light. The family rooms are all located on the second floor, and there is no lift, so you need to carry your luggage up narrow stairs. If you bring large suitcases, it can be quite exhausting (Room 17 even has an additional set of stairs 😂). The reception desk was also unattended quite often. Although the Lake District is generally very safe, it still felt slightly unsettling because the entrance door was frequently left open. The bathroom drainage also seemed to have an issue. Even though I take very quick showers (usually under five minutes), the water would spread all the way towards the sink area. My guess is that the floor may not be perfectly level, and there could also be hair partially blocking the drain. During showers, I actually had to push the water back toward the drain repeatedly to stop it from flooding the middle of the bathroom. In addition, one of the smaller beds was extremely squeaky.
The location was great. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was top notch!
Good
Climbing up all the stairs to the top floor
Great location Really good breakfast
Where the Windermere Park is situated Perfect for Windermere or a nice walk down the hill onto Bowness
Wasn't anything I didn't like. I was perfectly happy & stayed there on my own
