The Sunan Hotel Solo

High value hotel experience with clean room and friendly staffs, especially the bapak receptionist when we arrived on 30 May 2026. We always stayed at Sunan Hotel Solo since long time ago.

The Hotel was well layed out with a nice garden area around the large swimming pool. A comprehensive buffet breakfast with a good range of Indonesian and western dishes.

The ducted air conditioning in my room was much too cold to sit in comfort and the controller in the room had no effect.

I had stayed in the Sunan Hotel for many times for many reason as the cleanlines, hospitality of the staff, the value of money and it’s location are close with my traveling purposes with no traffic jam.

Food is fantastic. We have attended and eaten here before just for the meals. I find the food very tasty, with a big variety and selection. Great customer service

Our request was granted. Rooms were connected and comfortable. Food were great and varied.

It wasn't a big problem but little bit disturbing in shower room when the switch to the tap/faucet was not working.

Everything is okay. Loved the huge swimming pool. Breakfast was good, and the room was clean.

A hotel in Solo with very good service. This is the first time I've stayed here. Indeed, the interior is far from a new hotel, but the receptionist service is top-notch. Thank you to Ms. Arin who sincerely served my family and children.

Entering the Hotel Restaurant & Welcoming by resto staff and briefly inform several favorite menu, these are WOW, variety of menu such amazing and wonderful and also delicious. I can conclude that these resto provide quality of food, warm people and nice resto environment - good value for money. It is recommended place to whom love food & nice environment..

Excelent services and facilities. 1.7m pool is one of the main attraction. Food are also great. Strategicaly located.

De locatie was ver van het centrum van Solo hoewel kan ik elke keer GoCar of Gojek nemen om daarnaar toe te gaan. De bus rijdt ook naar het centrum maar jij weet nooit hoe vaak hij rijdt want er staat niets aangegeven op de haltes

This is my second time staying at Sunan Hotel, and it is still the same as when I first stayed here, the service is very friendly and the atmosphere is homey.

Clean and neat room. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The access also great near shopping center. It is also kids friendly. Over all it was great experience.

Harganya cukup affordable, cocok untuk staycation. Kolam renangnya memiliki ketinggian yang pas. Kamar bersih dan nyaman. Ukuran kamarnya ideal, cukup untuk 2 orang. Internetnya juga lancar. Sarapannya variatif dan melimpah. Cocok untuk anak ataupun orang tua. Pegawainya juga ramah.

Kualitas TV atau mungkin jaringannya perlu diperbaiki karena kurang jernih di beberapa channel, salah satunya Nickelodeon. Kata CS kamar menghadap kolam, tapi ternyata tepat di atap beton, untung saat sore pemandangannya lumayan.

Very clean hotel. Good location. Old hotel but very well maintained. Bed was comfortable 😌 value wise it exceeded my expectation.

Excellent value for such a good hotel

Solo is full of great hotels. I would choose the closest to where I am working / visiting. This is great - very close to Purwosari station, not so close to the Keraton area.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, with all the necessary facilities. The beds were large and very comfortable, . The pool area was large and nicely landscaped with trees and plants. I really enjoyed the buffet breakfasts which gave me the opportunity to try many of the local dishes.

I can't see the need for a quilt cover on the bed in this climate. A sheet would be preferable.

Strategic place, the old hotel but clean, comfort and awesome bath tab with hot water for relaxing. Quick check in/out. A good food for breakfast. Quite big car parking. Friendly and helpful security, safe concierge to keep the goods came earlier before check in.

For a 4-star hotel to have bathtub, nice! Likewise the pools are commendable. Above all, the variety and taste of the breakfast exceeded my expectation. Overall it worthed more than what we paid for.

This was a brilliant experience! The concept behind The Sunan is unique. From the viewpoint you can see Lokananta Place and Solo City. I went to The Sunan Hotel in the evening and saw old and new Solo City lit up against the night-sky. It was just beautiful.

Nice hotel, very clean and well maintained. Staff are friendly, kind and helpful and do their best to make your stay at the Sunan Hotel enjoyable.

The pool is for hotel guests but very busy with people using the pool and chairs that are not hotel guests. The pool is accessible for the public to use which interfers with the hotel guests enjoyment of the pool.

The breakfast was good, the room was nice, and the hotel was also near the train station.

five star quality, great facilities and a great price. The hotel was built in the 90s, lots of teak and nice marble work. Still in decent condition. Best hotel we stayed in from our road trip from Bangkok to Bali, only stayed here because our car broke down near Solo, so we were forced to find a hotel for the family. It turned out to be the nicest hotel. Definitely will plan my Jakarta/Bali road trips to stop in Solo and avoid Semarang from now on.

Within walking distance of McDonald's and shopping mall. There is a grocery store in the lower level of the shopping mall if you want some snacks for your room. There is also a laundry facility within walking distance.

Everything! Chef, Pak Kiki provides exceptional, various, good quality, and tastefully food. I saw him, personally checking the presentation the food on buffet area during our breakfast. We stayed there from June 22-26 in room 205. I All staff provide excellent services. I remember one dining staff mbak Ayak, we saw her at dinner shift and the next morning we saw her again, and she still still showing a great attitude, smile on her face & work delligently. I know that's not easy. The room is also clean, bed comfortably & hotel location us very strategic Overall we are very satisfied with Sunan Hotel. Definitely highly recommended & will come back again anytime I visit Solo. Please keep up the excellent work!
